Vikings.
I'm like Green really, I'm aMinnesotan, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
But you spent some
time in New York.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
So if anything this
really hurt you, then for the
Jets.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Oh my heart, oh my
heart.
Have you ever played aninstrument though?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
I tried when I was in
fourth grade.
My parents insist to have aguitar lesson, oh, and I went
for a week, but the teacher gaveup.
I can't teach her anymorebecause she has not ear.
I couldn't, I couldn't, Icouldn't, I couldn't, I couldn't
, I couldn't, I couldn't.
(02:08):
So for one week I only did likea double.
How do you say in English Don'tworry me, don't worry me.
And that's it.
And I still stuck in there.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Has your husband or
your children ever tried to
teach you to play theirinstruments and?
Would you be so kind as to tellus what instruments they play?
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Well, it's
interesting because when they
start violin lessons they startwith the Suzuki method, which
the parents has to be in thelesson.
Is that correct?
And I was in postpartum withFabrizio.
I have to drop off Federico inhis violin lesson.
And I dropped him off and Ileft to GMax to buy some stuff
(02:48):
and then I went picking him upand then the teacher was outside
saying when were you?
You're supposed to be here.
What I made my fate like a.
I have a baby six weeks old,and you want me to be in his
violin lesson.
Well, she was very mad with me,but she's a great teacher, I
(03:09):
love her.
And the next lesson, of courseI have to be there because I
have to.
So they asked the parents learnthe first, rinky, rinky, twinkle
, twinkle, twinkle, twinkle.
To teach, to do the homeworkwith the child, oh my God.
(03:29):
And you have to take noteswhile the teacher is doing the
lesson.
You have to take notes.
I couldn't write in English andit couldn't write any notes.
I mean notes in the playground.
Oh my God, I was pretending Iwas writing.
Oh my God, that was verystressful.
I was really.
(03:51):
I had anxiety with that lesson.
Well, I learned to cope withthat.
But my kids, when they startsinging and I sing with them,
they say no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no no
no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no, no no.
(04:13):
I don't know what is high, whatis low.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
My face going down or
up.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Oh my, that is
fantastic.
No, that's so fantastic.
Yeah, but they know alreadythat they know I can sing any.
I love to sing.
They know my family.
My grandpa was a musician.
He was very well known in thearea that I was born and he was
a composer.
And all my aunts and my cousinsthey are very talented singing
(04:41):
or composing or playing.
And when they make love on meand they say they Everybody says
okay, next an Easter to sing isbecause they are making fun of
me.
They are bullying me, but that'sokay, I can bear with that.
That's okay.
I grew up knowing that I cansing.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Okay, but what's your
favorite song to sing?
Not sing?
Speaker 3 (05:10):
My favorite song.
Oh, I won't take any notes righthere but you want me to start
singing, but no, I won't.
It's in Spanish so I can singit.
But I love one of the GloriaTrevi.
I love that song.
(05:30):
I can sing loud.
Actually, we went to karaokewith my Felipe Federico, and we
went to karaoke and they made mesing that song.
Isn't that too good?
Yeah, I try, but they have togo with me.
I mean sing with me becausethey guide me.
I have my husband here justlike, oh my goodness, but I love
(05:55):
that song.
Probably I can they guide me.
I have my husband here Justlike, oh my goodness, but I love
this song.
I'm going to sing it.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm going to sing it,
I'm going to sing it.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Let's play something.
Ok, let's do that it will befun.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
All right, adi
Beyonce, and you do Whitney
Houston.
Oh my, that's it OK.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
It's a big word.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Big, big, big, big
big.
We're reaching high people here.
I have just again, justthoroughly enjoyed this time
that we have spent together.
My cheeks hurt from laughingand I can imagine us at karaoke.
Whitney Houston and Beyonce.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
And that's a famous
story that one of the Hasidic
leaders would send outemissaries to be with other Jews
and they came back to report tohim and they compared their job
.
Like every Jew would be relatedas a letter in a Torah scroll.
So they would say we're thereto correct and to fill in the
(07:21):
ink where it's missing.
The Hasidic leader did notaccept that explanation.
He says that's when you haveink on a parchment, every Jew we
view as being words engraved instone.
It's engraved.
That's what it is.
There's dirt and lint fills upthose letters and obscures.
(07:47):
All we have to do is blow awaythe dirt and then you see what
the letters there.
So it's not correcting, they'refine.
They've just got filled withdistractions, thinking other.
You know we can go on and on.
What could it be?
A distraction could be.
They think if they read thenews all the time, they're a
better person.
So therefore, this is the thingthat we're challenged down with
(08:09):
these.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, sometimes it is
good to just be with your own
thoughts, no distractions, andin your head you're like working
out things or water shit, orwater shit, exactly Figuring out
you know what I have?
Speaker 2 (08:25):
this thing that's
still on Monday and I need to
take some time.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
I can't have the
office in the background playing
.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
What's happening,
what's good, what to do.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Chase, can you tell
us what it tastes like to eat
chicken with two Krispy Kremebuns Like?
What does that taste like?
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Oh, it's really.
It was a good sound, like Isaid, kfc had it and you get a
sweet savory taste because yougot the sweetness from the two
Krispy Kreme donuts.
So you can imagine I don't knowif you ever had a fresh Krispy
Kreme glazed donut before, butthe beans fresh out the oven is
(09:08):
like it melts in your mouth likeair, like it just is ridiculous
.
And then you have your chickensandwich.
With it had all this flavor onit, cheese and that's just kind
of like the savory part and thatcombination is just
ridiculously good.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
So any food companies
out there.
You have a foodie who loves toshowcase all the different
wonderful, unique foods.
Follow my cousin Chase at KingFat Snack and I want to see
sponsorships come out of this.
Let's make this happen.
Speaker 5 (09:44):
Absolutely.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, for sure, this
is great, chase.
Love you, love you too.
Can you tell us more about?
Speaker 4 (09:53):
your work with Color
Run.
So I did do Color Run TwinCities last year and that was
really life changing for mebecause, first and foremost,
there was not that many peopleof color that were vendors at
all and I was the very firstproduct seller.
So I just wanted to show mypeople that even in these spaces
(10:20):
that don't look like we belong,we can still go, we can still
achieve all those things.
And to this day I'll be like inTarget somewhere.
They're like oh, oh, my gosh, you're the candex lady.
I'm seeing that color right now.
I love it.
I just think it's so hilarious.
But it was nice to be able toempower those women too, because
(10:43):
the 5klad color run it's notcompetitive.
It's something that you couldbring your family with you, you
could bring your kids and theydress up in all these like
unicorn outfits and the two twosand glitter and stuff and then
start going to the run.
There's like sprints of glitterand paint and stuff that get on
(11:03):
you and it's all like magical.
I think that the most rewardingthing is that I get to expose
my audience to all the ways thatyou can wear your jewelry, can
style your jewelry, and it'slike I've built this community
of like women that are allempowering one another.
So, as I'm elevated, they'relike, yes, and like, as they're
(11:24):
elevated, and I'm like, yes, yougo, girl, did you wear your
earrings?
Because I know you feel yourbest when you got your earrings
on.
You know what I mean For sure.
Even though my tribe is big, Ifeel like I know these women
Because we share a lot of thesame stories and we are
overachieving a lot of the samethings.
(11:44):
You know.
That's, that's the rewardingpart.
But on the other side, thepeople that aren't familiar with
us being in these spaces that'sa little awkward, but at the
same time, I feel like we're ina place in the world where
they're starting to be more open.
They're starting to be a lotmore open, but we have to keep
trying to get into these things.
