Speaker 1 (00:00):
this new platform
called Voice API and how
seamless it is for you tointegrate it into your
application.
And the thing that's cool aboutthis platform is how easy it is
to integrate with your system,right?
So normally if I were to gowrite a voice agent or go write
some code to actually do somevoice agent, it might take me
(00:20):
like a week plus to actuallyeven by using AI to write the
code.
It's going to take me a minutefor me to get it.
As well as this versus I justwent to the website and I
clicked the button and I jumpedright into a conversation,
almost like a phone call.
They also have the ability toplug it into just regular phone
numbers, so I actually have aphone number with voice api that
I can pick up the phone andcall and I still have that same
(00:41):
type of interaction with them.
Welcome, welcome, welcome.

Give us a big round of applauseholding it down 65 say those

Speaker 2 (02:18):
We're still kicking
the tire down the road, man, and
we're going down the hill.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
You know the
momentum's getting even faster
right, but anyways, uh, first ofall I want to say thank y'all
so much for pulling up um, wegot a real packed show for y'all
today.
Um, some really cool topics.
I'm gonna kick it off with atech talk.
I'm gonna be talking about alittle bit different um use case
or usage of ai.
Uh, obviously ai is always mytop subject that I talk about um
, but I can't wait until we jumpinto it because we're going to
(02:41):
be looking at some voice agentsor voice AI, and then we're
going to have D Hustle with sometech current events, yes, sir.
And then we got Raymond downfor some Raymond nuggets.
He said he got something aboutWi-Fi.
Speaker 3 (02:54):
This will be
interesting Sites.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
He said we'll see
what they are, and then a show
recommendation.
I think I know which one he'stalking about.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
And then we're gonna
have d hustle come back around
for that sports section lookslike you're already representing
, holding down already.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Always I'm shout out.

And then I got a bigannouncement during the outro,
um, that y'all definitely heardus talking about here a lot
around the academy, um.
But yeah, stay tuned, listenall the way through so I can
catch the gems.
But are y'all ready for theshow today?
Yes, sir, yeah, yeah, any, any, anything I want to say before
(03:31):
we get begin ray raymond, no, no, yeah yeah yeah, I hope you're
ready for your conversationtoday what conversation is that
the show recommendation?
Speaker 4 (03:39):
oh, okay yes, it's a
good one.
Yeah, you've seen it.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Yeah, Raymond always
feels so much pressure.
Who's seen?
Speaker 4 (03:45):
it.
Bobby D had seen it.
He recommended it to me.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Oh, okay, d also was
like oh okay.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
What.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Oh, my show
recommendations are good.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah, I think you're
doing all right.
Okay, you're doing good.
No, I'm just messing man, butanyway, we're going to jump
right into the tech talk.
Thank you so much for queuingme up D Today's conversation.
As always, we're always talkingabout AI, but the other day,
(04:16):
here at our office here in PalmBeach big shout-outs to Studio
1016 where we hold it down Oneof our dang we just talked about
this business acquaintance,julian.
Big shout-outs to Julian.
Shout-outs to Julian.
Julius, I'm sorry.
Big shout-out to.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Julius AKA, co worker
.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, he runs a few
companies here and we were
chatting up with him the otherday talking about AI.
You know how I start to geekout and get all excited as soon
as somebody even mentioned AI,but one of the conversations
that we were chatting up aboutwas how AI, especially on the
voice side of the house, isgoing to get even better and the
experiences actually are reallycool.
And I was more or less you knowme doing research all the time,
(04:51):
looking up different platformsand applications to use,
recommended a platform calledVAPI.
It's basically voiceapiai isthe website, so it's VAPIai is
the website, so it's v?
Apiai, and they are basicallyuh, mainly developing a voice
agent for developers, and what Imean by developers is is that
(05:13):
they are making it easy for youto integrate it with your
existing application or website,to have a voice agent.
Now, have you either of youever heard or used any voice
agent before yet?
no, no, I have not uh, and, andI mean, let me ask you this
other question how many of youstill get cold calls, like
(05:34):
random calls from random numbersand stuff like that?
Speaker 4 (05:36):
oh, yeah, yeah we
still do it.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
I mean, we were still
well, I feel like we were
getting even more than we werebefore, but a lot of those cold
calls I have noticed have had anAI agent behind it, in the
sense of you hear some type of,let's say, common tone, common
voice, but there's stillsomething robotic about that
(05:59):
conversation and a lot of people, especially those that are
using those cold call services, are moving to use voice agents
to do those type ofconversations.
Now these voice agents aren'tgoing to be as rigid as it is.
When you call, let's say, youcall the bank to get your
balance.
It's like, hey, press numberone to go to the next thing, or,
you know, say your accountnumber out loud, type stuff.
(06:23):
This new type of voice agent isactually really conversational
based.
It's like really able to talkto you and understand what
you're talking about, but stilltake those actions that you're
asking for.
Let's say that you're calling abank, and what we were talking
about with Julius, or what I wastalking about with Julius, is
this new platform called VoiceAPI and how seamless it is for
(06:46):
you to integrate it into yourapplication, but also how cool
it is to actually hear aconversation.
So what I want to do real quickis actually go to their website
and they have a button on thefront page that you can actually
test out their voice agent.
So we're going to listen in andsee, see what what that voice
agent sounds like, but alsointeract with it a little bit.
Y'all ready for this?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, let's see.
All right, so I'm going toclick the button here.
It says give it a try and let'ssee if it comes through.
It says give it a second.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Welcome to Vappy.
I'm an assistant that you cantalk to like a person, so how's?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
your day going Well?
My day is going good.
I'm a little bit under weather.
I'm hoping that you know bytomorrow I'll be able to get
back at it.
But tell me a little bit aboutwhat you can do.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I'd love to dive into
what I can do, but before I do,
would you mind telling me howyou found out about VAPI?
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Actually, I was just
searching online for a really
cool platform to integrate withmy website.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
And your website came
up.
Theapiai, awesome, awesome.
So with Vappy, you can buildvoice assistants for your apps
or phone numbers super easily.
We handle all the tricky partslike speech recognition and
voice synthesis, so you canfocus on building cool stuff.
You can also bring your own APIkeys and customize it however
(08:11):
you want.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
That's pretty neat,
right?
Yeah, that actually is reallycool.
How much does the service cost?
If I may ask?
Speaker 2 (08:18):
I can't get into the
details about pricing right now,
but Vappy is free for up to 1 athousand minutes per month.
For any other pricing questionsyou can click the contact sales
button on the website to get intouch.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Awesome, Awesome.
Now I'm going to click thebutton to stop, but what did
y'all think about that?
Uh-oh?
D Hustle got something to say.
What's up, I'll wait forRaymond Uh yeah, that was um
interesting.
I'm an assistant.
Oh, that was interesting, kathy, I'm an assistant.
Oh sorry, sorry, I clicked thebutton again, go ahead.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah, it's
interesting.
Seems like it's a lot ofpotential to do some different
stuff.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah, what did you
think about the tone, the way
that he was speaking and alsoresponding?
Speaker 4 (08:58):
I mean, you know it's
robotic, but it was cool.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're not sold yet it's okay,to be honest, yeah, it's the
first iteration.
It's okay.
Yeah, yeah, for sure, how?
Speaker 3 (09:09):
about you d?
What do you thought it was cool?
Yeah, don't get me wrong, Ijust felt like I was just in the
movie war games, uh-huh, uh, sosomething to adjust yeah I
think this has been out for along time.
We just now, just now, figuringit out.
Yeah, yeah, if you have seenthe game on the movie War Games.
It's just like that, Almost thesame.
(09:32):
I don't know if this is hiscousin To say or whatever the
case may be, but in the modernworld, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
It's cool, something
to adjust.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, and the thing
that's cool about this platform
is how easy it is to integratewith your system, right?
So normally if I were to gowrite a voice agent or go write
some code to actually do somevoice agent, it might take me
like a week plus to actuallyeven by using AI to write the
code.
It's going to take me a minutefor me to get it, as well as
this Versus.
I just went to the website andI clicked the button and I
(10:07):
jumped right into a conversation, almost like a phone call.
They also have the ability toplug it into just regular phone
numbers.
So I actually have a phonenumber with voice API that I can
pick up the phone and call andI still have that same type of
interaction with them.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Had a little delay to
it.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, it did, didn't
it?
Yeah, it did catch when I wasinterrupting it a little bit.
But there was this delay whereit's like if you think about
what's happening in thebackground, it actually has to
listen to my voice, convert itinto text and take that, convert
it into the AI and then the AIconvert it back to voice.
There is going to be somelatency challenges.
I think they're going to notthink they're definitely going
to get better at it, not thinkthey're definitely going to get
(10:42):
better at it, uh, but that's howyou can kind of tell when
you're talking to some of these.
So if you ever get one of thosecold calls and you hear that
little bit of long pause, it'llbe like, oh, this might not
actually be a person, anindividual.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
it actually might
hang up right away.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Like seriously, what
if you're gonna call me?
Speaker 3 (10:58):
why do I have to
pause and wait?
Yeah for you to speak, yeah, yeah, if, yeah, if you're
actually a real human, the firstthing you will say is hello,
hello, hey, hey hey.
Or aka, if you have me onspeaker and you don't.
The thing is when I used to docustomer service back in the
days.
I used to call people and Iused to put it on speaker and
then I mute it.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
So then when I used
to call clients or the agents,
I'd basically go, hey, oh shit,I'm on, and then they'd hang up
on me right away.
Then I'd call back again.
They're like, okay, this is notan AI or a robot.
This is an actual person.
I'd say I'm sorry I had you onmute, yada, yada yada, but a lot
(11:41):
of customer service do thatyeah yeah.
They tend to call you, putyourself on you and then, until
you speak, they speak yeah andwhen you know when there's a
robot or an ai or whatever thecase may be, they call you.
You don't hear nothing.
You're like hello, hello.
You think you're havinginterference.
We're actually not.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
That's when they're
saying hello, this is yeah, yeah
, that's a trigger word, almostlike right, it's like almost.
If you just think aboutprogramming, you're actually
programming it in there.
Pause and wait until you hear avoice or you hear something,
and then that's when youactually start to kick in gotcha
.
Yeah, are you worried about itat all, raymond?
Speaker 4 (12:17):
because I know that
you're always worried about
people losing jobs and stufflike that.
Yeah, I mean, I mean not yet,but I mean I guess could you see
this taking away customerservice jobs and stuff?
I could.
Since you brought it up, I meanyeah, yeah, I mean.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
The reason why I
brought it up is there's a lot
of of my mentees that aredeveloping applications, that
they're really focusing on thatcustomer service side of the
house.
So one of my mentees is like, hey, if you call the doctor's
office, it's like hey, hey, instead of speaking to a person,
you could speak and filter itthrough something like an AI
that can answer some questions.
It is definitely going toeventually get there.
(12:54):
It's not there yet, because alot of people can detect it and
see it and then be like, hey, what's the first thing you do
when you hear robot?
It's like, all right, presszero to go to a real person,
right?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
So a lot of people
are still doing that.
Um, so it's not, it's not thereyet, but it's definitely going
to get there soon by that time, hopefully you retired or you
might be dead.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
All right, oh man,
but I definitely see some
potential.
Uh, big shout out to julius, you know, giving us some uh
reasons to talk about voice apior more specifically like voice
agents, because they aredefinitely coming and if you are
interested in finding out more, check us out on discord number
one and also check out theirwebsite called V API, dot AI, so
you can jump in and figure outif this is a tool that you can
(13:36):
use.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
Julius, was that the
gentleman you were talking to
last week?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, hisname.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Julius, yeah, julius,
oh, okay, what's his name?
Julius?
Yeah, julius, okay, cool cat, cool cat, real smart.
We're working on some reallycool stuff and I'm hoping we get
him at the pod backstage withBobby D to talk a little bit
more about it, because we weregeeking out and talking about
some real cool tech stuff.
So, all right, fellas.
Big shout-outs to Voice API.
This portion is not sponsoredby them, but I definitely want
(14:07):
to encourage you all to checkthem out and you know if you
voice API and you want us tosponsor your event.
You know we can definitely holdyou down, so hit us up too.
But anyways, everybody's likeyo get these sponsors up here,
right, but you know definitelybig shout outs to them what
they're working on and remember, follow along.
Ai is coming.
If you're not, you're going toget left behind.
Next up, we got my guy D Hustlewith Tech Current Events, what
we got going on in the worldtoday, what is going on.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Good morning, good
evening, good afternoon, happy
hour, wherever you guys at.
Thank you guys for coming tothe show.
Thank you guys for coming backto listen.
First-time users welcome.
Let's start the program hereAfter.
Let's start the program here.
After 22 years, skype is goingdown.
They're shutting it down.
They're shutting Skype down.
Yep, after 22 years.
(14:52):
So Skype was basically since2023.
By a guy of Nicholas Zennstromand Janus Frizz basically
started this service foroffering phone calls and over
the Internet, and I think it was20, hold on for a second.
I think it was 2020, 2009, 2005,I apologize.
Ebay bought them out for 2.6billion and then sold the
(15:17):
controlling for groups, forinvestors, and then sold it
again in 2009.
Wow, and 2009,?
What happened was was bought bythat beautiful Microsoft, and
Microsoft, you know, spentroughly 4 million users in the
early 2000 to 36 millions in2023.
But Microsoft says you guys canautomatically migrate the chat
(15:41):
and start using Teams now.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Ah, yes, they do have
Microsoft Teams.
It's almost like an overlap ofproduct, mm-hmm yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
So now everybody's
going to start using Teams.
So if you have Skype, go aheadand take everything out for your
information and then startusing Teams.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Did y'all use Skype
at all.
I used Skype, yeah, what wereyou using it?
Speaker 3 (16:00):
for For work, yeah
for work and they started using
that, and then that's when Teamscame in.
And then you already moved overand then we moved over all of a
sudden.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, how about you,
raymond?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Yeah, we used it for
a little bit yeah.
Now obviously everybody usesTeams now.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
I wonder how old Zoom
is, because I believe Zoom was
first, wasn't it before Skype?
Zoom was first back in 2003,.
That was like the first timethat we ever had video voice
calling was.
I used Skype to do that andthen obviously they didn't hold
it down in the marketplace.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, they dropped
the ball and let Zoom took over,
yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Man Well, skype is
shutting down.
It'll be an old name in historyfor us.
Yes, but big shout outs to them, because I think they've helped
move, uh, the video callingindustry along.
Um, and microsoft said, yeah,we got something else.
So yeah, let's keep it running.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
Yep, that was a good
run, 22 years.
I'm glad they sold it.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, it makes some
money too.
I Make a lot of money.
I didn't know it was stillaround.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
They're still around.
Next subject here a brand newwatch coming out.
It's called UNA Substain ModuleSmartwatch.
It's live on Kickstarter.
For anybody who's looking for anew watch these days it's like
$270.
Nice watch, very, very.
It's the first gps sport watch.
(17:26):
Um, very nice uh.
Look into the design smartwatch including tricks, activity
tracking, metrics,notifications, workout
performance and tracking anddaily health tracking.
Unfortunately, it's not gonnabe up to the ultra watch 2 from
apple.
Not, it's not as good as that, but it's something.
(17:47):
That's a nice thing, uh, thatyou guys want to change up your
style or or brand um, somethingdifferent what's up, raymond?
Speaker 4 (17:56):
yeah so I'm glad the
hustle had that question.
Who's in the march watch market?
I am in the watch market.
My watch broke a few weeks agoand I've been struggling my
Apple watch.
So, yeah, I'm in the market, been looking, calling the phone
company, seeing what promotionsthey have and stuff like that.
So it was cracked and I wasstill holding it on with like a
(18:19):
piece of paper in between myskin cause it was cutting my
skin on the, on the bottom ofthe bottom.
I dropped it and then it finallyjust stopped working a few
weeks ago and I'm pissed off.
So, yeah, you feel like you'remissing something I do, yeah, so
I don't know if I want theultra or do I want the uh, the
10, and I know there's rumorsthat apple might be coming out
with a new watch this fall, soI'm like struggling here on what
(18:40):
to do.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, should I wait,
or what?
Speaker 4 (18:43):
so I'm like I need to
watch badly so, but yeah, I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
So so we have to wait
until you break something
together, that's the only timethat well I need a new phone too
, but I kind of want to wait fora while.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Yeah, so we have to
wait for his phone.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yeah, so wow, but
yeah, man, I definitely will say
that it's actually become apart of your daily routine to
put on the watch, to take it offand also to be notified through
it.
I mean the market's wide open.
We reported on some really coolwatches from Walmart to Amazon.
And now this new one onKickstarter.
There's definitely some goodoptions out there.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
What happened D?
This is basically where itcomes to be the fanboy Like he's
going to get another AppleWatch.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Yeah, yeah, it's
definitely a lot.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Let's be realistic
here.
I said I'm in the market, I'mresearching, he's checking him
out.
You're in the market foranother Apple Watch.
Why don't you just tell?
Speaker 3 (19:30):
the truth bro.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
I mean I want to wait
and see what they come out with
.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Uh-huh, maybe it is
what it is, but since you are in
the market, let me give you alittle better feedback about
Apple Watch.
There's a skydiver.
My next subject Did someskydiving, like we did back in
the days.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
From 10,000 feet.
He dropped his phone.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
He dropped his phone
from skydiving.
He forgot to zip it up, dropsit.
Funniest thing about it, he puthis Apple tracer, or location
GPS.
He found it.
Wow, he actually found thephone.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
He found the phone.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
Guess how the phone
looked how.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Intact, intact what?
Speaker 3 (20:17):
No issues what.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Soft landing.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Soft landing Wow, as
you can see it there on the
screen.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
It landed on grass.
No, no, I feel that that is alie, yeah.
But, maybe it was the case, soI want to shout out to whoever
made that case.
For sure I don't know if it wasan auto box.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
You remember those
things?
Those things are freaking, indestructible, right Rugged.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
But I guarantee you,
if it landed on concrete, that
phone would have been done.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Yeah, it would have
been done.
That would have been done.
Yeah, it would have been done.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
That's cool, Wow, so
yeah something to think about,
something to look at.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Well, at least get a
case for your phone, if you see
the case.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
Look how thick it is
around.
Looks really, really solid.
I don't know what brand is that.
I wish it was said on thearticle here.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
He should be putting
the link so people could buy it.
Oh there it is right there, fully cased.
Right there.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
It looks like it's a
really durable one, yeah it
looks durable, it looks likeit's uh, well put um.
It looks like an auto box to me, but I mean, auto box is a
little bit more bulkier yeah, yeah more.
I mean you're paying 50, 60 foran auto box.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Let's be realistic it
looks very bulky yeah, uh, but
yeah, but you're also walkingaround with a brick on the side
of your face.
It's kind of similar.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
For my work phone.
This is the brick that they puton there.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, this thing is
pretty, because they don't want.
They want the phone back.
They don't want you To mess itup, you break your watch.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
What do you think
they're going to also Put
something on your phone, just incase?
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Then you track
history.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
He's breaking that.
He was still able to track itright and then pinpoint where
exactly it was.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
That's the thing that
let me know that the phone was
still operational operation yeah, yes, yeah, that's the correct
word I'm looking for, because,if not, he would have not found
it.
Let's be realistic here forsure.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
and and if he would
have, like you said, landed
somewhere else, where probablyconcrete or somewhere where
water was, uh, definitely wouldhave been a wrap, yeah it would
have been done.
But yo, whoever this story was,you need to put the link to the
case that you have so you canget some money off of this,
because they definitely shoulduse that for advertising that it
survived 10,000 feet.
You said 10,000 feet.
(22:18):
If you go and click on, thevideo real quick scroll a little
bit down, scroll down.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Yeah, there's a video
on there.
You have to.
No, you have to go back to likethe beginning alright, let's
see, let's see maybe I'm all theway to the top.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Alright, there there
he goes, he goes right there so
you can see here he comes.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Once he jumps, you
see the phone fly you see, it
just fly by.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
I've never seen it
flow by, and now he's on a
mission to look for hisbeautiful phone Stressed,
stressed.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
If you scroll down
you can see it.
There goes the phone rightthere.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Oh, with the green
right there.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
Yeah, oh, wow.
So yeah, 10,000 feet Looksreally nice.
I wish I would have wentskydiving with him.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah, he's ready to
go.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
man, that was
actually a really good
experience, man.
It was a good experienceSkydiving.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
If you haven't had a
chance to do it, I highly
recommend it.
It's actually one of the bestexperiences I ever got invited
to.
We went for your birthday, right yeah, it was for your
birthday and we celebratedreally well.
A few of us went out there.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Raymond didn't want
to no he's not that.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
He won't even get up
on the ladder to put his
shutters off.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
It's facts right,
that's true, I will not even do
that.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
But I will tell you
it's probably one of the best
experiences I ever had A good, good, good rush.
But hey, I would highlyrecommend it for anybody.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
So all my materials
and stuff I put, ladies and
gentlemen, on Discord for youguys can take a look at it.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Roger, roger, that
Thanks.
Take a dive into it.
So Skype is out, we got a newwatch and look how reliable
iPhones can be 10,000 feet.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
I don't think it's
the iPhone, but I think it is.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
You said they gave
Too much credit to the iPhone.
Too much credit to the iPhone,I think so.
The case right.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
Congratulations to
the grass.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Yeah, it's very soft,
no doubt, no doubt.
Alright, next up, we got my guyRaymond.
Don't call him Ray Ray, what'sup?
Player.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
Hey, what's up,
gentlemen?
So yeah, was having adiscussion with one of my good
friends here.
His name is Art, shout out toArt.
He is a regular listener of thepodcast and he was talking to
me the other day.
He does something interestingwhen he works out.
He likes to listen to ourpodcast on the big screen on his
.
Tv.
Yeah, our podcast on the bigscreen on his tv, yeah, yeah.
(24:25):
So where he has his tv at, he'skind of struggling with getting
a wi-fi signal.
So he hit me up.
He's like, hey, let me get youropinion on what.
Do you think of those wi-fiextenders?
I was like yeah, I'm not reallya fan yeah I told him you know,
I think you should do thisinstead, but he's kind of
hesitant.
I get it.
People don't want to spend themoney or whatever.
But I told him you should lookinto getting a mesh wi-fi setup
(24:46):
where he has his setup at.
He has a concrete room and thesignal is not just getting
through and he can't listen tomy podcast when he's, you know,
working out yeah, so he has, youknow, an all-in-one modem with
the wi-fi and he's like, oh, Ithink I'm gonna move the modem
up to the counter.
I'm like, bro, that ain't gonnawork, man, I mean you could do
that, but I know people don'twant to spend money.
(25:08):
I don't know it's finances, butI'm like bro yeah you should
get a mesh setup.
So if you don't know what thatis, I don't know if you guys
have it, but I have a mesh setup.
There's tons of differentcompanies google, euro, tp link,
netgear.
I think it's the way to go.
It just spreads the wi-fi allover your house or your
apartment.
My friend, art, does not havethis.
He just has the all-in-one setupyeah and he's trying to move
(25:29):
his modem around.
I'm like, bro, that ain't gonnado nothing, but you know, if
you're listening, invest in amesh setup so I have euro.
Obviously, I'm not gonna lie,I'm a fan boy of amazon ah,
that's the only one he admits, yeah amazon makes it, and what I
like about it is like um, haveEchoes all over my house, it
integrates with the Echoes andthen the Echoes also spreads the
(25:50):
signal in my house.
Ah, okay, okay, so, yeah.
So that's why I kind of wentwith this and it's great.
I have a whole guest network.
People come in, they can justdo the guest network.
I can block my kids from usingthe internet.
He's just like what's?
Going on with the internet yeah, I love euro.
That's just me.
It's made by amazon, butthere's tons of different
(26:12):
companies.
Do you use?
Speaker 1 (26:13):
a yeah, actually I
have a mesh setup also, I have,
uh, the google one okay um, andit's uh three.
Do we have three access points?
So we have one main accesspoint upstairs, um, and two
downstairs?
Okay, um, and the problem thatexactly what you said is that
when I got to the farthestcorner of my house, the signal
was terrible because my internetbox is upstairs and I was
playing that same game.
(26:33):
And then I learned out aboutmesh networks a few years ago
and it just changed the game forme.
I haven't had issues withinternet at all.
From the garage to the backyard.
I can almost walk down theblock a little bit and still get
connected.
So it's really really, reallypowerful, because what happens
is that the mesh networks itselfcreates its own type of like
(26:55):
its own radio wave, and it's ahigher frequency than you
normally would just by regularWi-Fi, and that's what keeps
that thing so connected, right, and then each access point
broadcasts out the same name asyour access point, and then, as
you're walking through the houseor connected to one, it just
jumps from one to the next.
Um, some really cool tech, um,and I highly highly recommend it
.
Do you also have mesh, don'tyou?
Speaker 4 (27:16):
yeah, you have a mesh
.
Yeah, which brand?
Euro?
Euro.
Okay, see that, look at that.
He knows good stuff, yeah, yeahI mean we techies, bro.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
what are you talking
about, man?
It's not you the only onethat's techie here, man, what
are you talking about?
So yeah, I mean.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
I get or he doesn't
want to go spend the money just
so he can listen to our podcaston his TV.
But I mean, hey, man, I don'tknow what to tell you.
Bro, you're going to bestruggling getting that through
a concrete wall.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Exactly.
Exactly were talking about likeextenders.
It doesn't work as well asextenders, because extenders are
like extenders are better thana mesh.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
No, no, no, I mean,
the mesh is better okay that's
what I was saying.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
So the extenders is
only like, um, a temporary
band-aid, right?
Um?
An extender is like you know, you get a cut and then you're
just putting a band-aid over itwhere mesh is actually sewing it
and you know, uh, gettingstitches where it's actually
uses different frequencies thanthe ones that the extenders have
.
Um, so I wouldn't recommend anextender.
That's what I told it.
It's just basically going to belike still fighting the fight
(28:13):
because you're going to beconnected to your new access
point, but from that accesspoint back to the router, that's
still going to have a weaksignal because it doesn't do the
same thing as the mesh network.
So I would highly recommend amesh, uh, and especially if
you're trying to get through aconcrete wall second floor or a
big house, that's the only wayto really get frequencies across
the whole house.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Yeah, it sucks, so I
get it.
You know most people you knowgo with the easy setup, the all
in one.
It's got everything in therefor you.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
But you know but
that's also Xfinity Comcast.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
They do that.
But they bundle everything theydo and you know, know if you're
not techie, and not even ifyou're not techie, it's just
easier for some people that justyou know yeah, hey it's all in
one.
I don't but you know, hey, soall right for sure nice
recommendation, man.
Yeah, for sure.
So yeah, get a mesh setup ifyou ever, you know, upgrade onto
that.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
What else you got on
your list there?
Speaker 4 (29:01):
player next one here
is I don't know if you want to
call this leisure or whatever.
People have been doing this fora long ass time.
It's not illegal, it's inmovies.
People do it as a hobby.
I don't know Did you guys everdo this growing up, like
listening to police scans andstuff like that?
Speaker 1 (29:19):
I mean, I remember my
mom and dad.
They used to work at the fleamarket.
They used to go buy stuff atyard sales.
I remember we got one of thosethings and I turned it on.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
I got scared as hell
yeah, because I was like am I?
Speaker 1 (29:32):
supposed to be
listening to these conversations
and stuff like that, so Iwasn't one that would listen to
them.
But we sold.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
We sold them before
okay, yeah, it's like a radio
device or something like that.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Yeah, it was a, it
was a scanner that you could
only hear, but you couldn't sendgotcha.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
Yeah right yeah, so
you'll see movies with the bad
guys listening and stuff likethat, oh yeah the bank.
You know the cops are coming.
Let's go to the bank now andstuff.
Like I said, we don't promoteor condone anything on the tech
hustle but this is a websitehere that I thought was
interesting.
Hey, if this is your jam, go forit.
It's called broadcastifycom, where you can listen to police
(30:04):
scans, fire scans.
This morning I tried it out.
I was listening to the bocaraton police fire department and
it's free.
They do have a paid tier.
You can just put your state inand or you can do near me and
you can just start listening toscans near you.
What?
Yes, wow, if that's your jam,go for it.
So it's called brosbroadcastifycom, broadcastifycom
(30:24):
.
Broadcastifycom yeah so if youare into listening to fire and
police and stuff like that, socheck it out.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
The world's largest
source of public safety.
Aircraft, rail and marine radio.
Live audio streams.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
Wow.
So maybe somebody wants to be afuture law enforcement officer
or fire department?
Yeah, or maybe a 911 dispatcheror whatever, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
That's interesting.
I mean it'll be cool to listenin just to hear what they're
saying.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Yeah, just to kind of
hear the different stuff, kind
of like that show 911.
I don't know if you've everseen it.
Really good show on Fox whereit's the fire department that
goes out and does all thesecrazy stuff from people calling
9-1-1.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Yeah so but yeah, but
I will say you, you're, uh,
you're also going to hearinglike terminology and lingo that
you're not familiar with,because obviously they're
speaking in code kind of stuffyeah like you know 10-4, roger,
that type stuff yeah whateverthat is right, um, but hey, if
it floats your boat, getconnected.
It's, it is free.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
You said yes, it's
free, but they do have a paid
version.
I'm not sure what that includes, but obviously, if you listen
to the free, you have to listento the ads yeah, yeah, I guess,
if you don't want, any ads.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
There's a paid
version okay, okay, youtube,
youtube, premium yeah all rightplayer.
Well, uh, definitely tune inand drum roll.
Please Next up.
You got on your list is I got a.
Speaker 4 (31:52):

said, I never checked it out
While I was married, or anythinglike that when I was divorced,
I did probably check it out.
Yeah, yeah, you tuned in, butyeah, good documentary, you
didn't check it out.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
You did check it I
did not, not until I was
divorced so you did check thatout, yeah, after I got divorced
this guy, yeah, trying to coveryour tail, bro.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
So what you got on
your list?
Speaker 4 (32:17):

me a few weeks ago and I gottasay I finished it.
It's amazing.
I think it's got like 80 fromthe viewers, viewers on Rotten
Tomatoes, 85 by the critics.
It's a great show.
I don't know how do you want tocategorize it, if it's sci-fi
or action or drama.
I went and got Huluspecifically for this show.
(32:38):

Speaker 3 (32:49):

Yes, I heard it was pretty goodit's excellent and I think
they're making a season two.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
So I hope so, because
it didn't finish the show just
came out of nowhere and Iremember I heard you talking
about it and I heard somerumblings on the internet yeah,
and I was like damn, this showis.
It's fantastic fantastic.
Speaker 1 (33:05):

And listen, if you are tuned in.

So if you want to watch thisshow, fast forward a little bit.

while to get to that point.
When did you realize that theywere in a bunker?
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Hold on, hold on hold

Wait a minute.
Why are you giving them stuff.

Well, the audience too.
You don't even know if theaudience have seen.

But all right, all right, allright, we'll leave it at that
yeah, definitely I'm very slowwhen it comes to shows.
Speaker 4 (33:37):
I know d hustle when
you guys pick things up very
quickly yeah I'm not gonna lie.
Uh took me like half of,probably like four or five yeah,
it took me a minute.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
It took me a minute
so yeah yeah, it's, it's
excellent it's so you got towatch it d it's all right.
I won't ask any more questionsbecause I'm going to spoil
everything, so but yeah, verygood show.
Speaker 4 (33:53):

It came out of nowhere, so butyeah, paradise, check it out,
and it's only on hulu it's onlyon hulu.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
I highly recommend it
, so yeah disney also disney

So if you have Disney Plus, oh,you can catch it too.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
You can catch it
there but, it doesn't have all
the episodes.
Oh okay.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Oh, okay, they do
that.
Okay, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Maybe they're trying
to give you a teaser, a little
bit.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Yeah, yeah, they have
it like these other shows, like
Severance.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
Severance, you know
you can see it on other
platforms Like one or two.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
But, they don't give
you the whole, so it forces you
to go over there, is that?
Speaker 1 (34:29):
the new game that
they're doing now.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Amazon does that too.
What you get one free episode.
And then you gotta subscribe, because you can subscribe within
Amazon and they'll charge you.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Oh, also on Disney
Plus.
You can also probably subscribeto Hulu, yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Actually Disney Plus
I don't know if you guys know
bought out Hulu.
Oh, that makes sense If youguys don't know about that.
Speaker 1 (34:49):

They're buying each other.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
They can get the
whole combo deal and stuff like
that For sure.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Well, they're trying

Speaker 3 (35:53):
Yeah, it's more like
a game of Clue.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yeah, yeah, murder
Mystery.
But even my son was gettinginto it.
He actually went all the wayback to watch where we were at.

Basketball, new York Libertynumber 1.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
But you know,
anything in South Florida I'm

Okay, what about you, Raymond?
I do like the team.
What is the team that Kaitlin?
Speaker 3 (38:49):

There's not any.
They're not in the running.
They're not in the runningright now.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
I do like her

Speaker 3 (38:57):
Okay.
So yeah, they're in Indiana.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
They're doing their

So they won the
commissioner cup.
So congratulations to them.
Speaker 4 (39:13):
