Speaker 1 (00:19):
hey, welcome back to
t3.
I'm your host U.
We are doing mock draftsbetween now and the first round
of the NFL draft.
I believe it's April 24th.
It's the same night as ourfirst annual live draft special.
You can catch us, of course, onYouTube or wherever your social
media will find our simulcastedepisode.
We're going to be doing theentire first round of the draft
(00:42):
live, so we're going to havefriends and family in the studio
with us dropping some knowledgeand some nuggets.
It's going to be a fun ride forus.
You can find T3 every Thursdaynight at 7 pm EST.
We are already doing mockdrafts.
They're all over YouTube so far.
We've got plenty more to come.
(01:02):
Our goal get all 32 mock draftsin for all 32 teams Manifest
task, but we're going to work itout and see what we can do.
I got several friends that arehighly invested in this team,
three that come to mind rightaway.
So I'm going to try to do rightby them.
That's the Seattle Seahawks, soI'm going to try to see what
they need.
Varying opinions on what theirteam needs are.
I know from hearing from myfriends, big emphasis on O-line
(01:25):
help, offensive help at thetackle spot, of course, even
heard something aboutquarterback, but I'm not quite
sure we're going to addressquarterback in this mock draft.
We say we're false.
I highly doubt it.
Wide receiver, edge rusher, ofcourse, and some help at safety
Cornerback as well.
To be honest with you, we'llsee if we can get all of these
(01:46):
in.
It's going to be a fun ride.
I heard about Tyler Lockettrecently.
Not sure if he's coming back on, so a wide receiver could
really be a big help.
Never sure about DK Metcalf andif he's going to be hanging
around or if he's going to bemoved.
There's always some challengeson the field with them and then
even with the play.
We've seen some areas wherethere's some lapses the past
(02:09):
couple of years it's just effortand some other areas that kind
of took them out of the game.
So we'll see how it turns out.
But as for why receivers areavailable, we'll go ahead and
try to find that guy for ourfriends that love the Seahawks.
So let's see if we can go aheadand jump into this draft real
quick, see what we can find.
They have eight picks available.
(02:29):
We're going to try to see if wecan try to get within three
rounds, if we can try to findsome guys that are going to
really help out their team.
They couldn't get the groundgame going last year, so we
definitely want to see if we canresolve that.
I'm not sure how much they loveKenny McIntosh.
I mean he's flashy, to say theleast, but not quite sure they
see him as the future Walker'sthere, and I think he's
(02:51):
definitely a number one runningback.
Will he still continue to beable to get that kind of
production here?
We'll see, but in all intentsand purposes looks good.
Tight end got some concernsabout Noah Fant.
I think he probably should bereplaced.
We should look for hisreplacement somewhere in the
draft, if possible, or in freeagency.
500 receiving yards, fivetouchdowns in several well, at
(03:15):
least last year for sure, butthe three seasons that he's been
there, the numbers haven't beengreat, excuse me.
So a guy like Elijah O'Reillyout of miami I got my eye on him
.
Man, he's a big target 64251.
I want to see if he can perhapsuh help this team out.
We'll see if he's going to beavailable and we'll just think
(03:36):
about it.
But the seahawks have the 18thpick and this trade right here
is uh one that we're going to.
I think we're going to try tohelp our guys out.
So we're taking this 18th pick.
For sure they blow us away withan offer and these are not that
.
So we know we need to help Oldlines we've been hearing about
(03:56):
the majority of the time.
So for me, I think getting achance to get Kelvin Banks here
is kind of hard to avoid.
Thick sturdy left tackle.
He definitely is good with hishands on the inside.
He doesn't, you know,over-leverage himself and gets
knocked back out of plays.
(04:17):
He's powerful, he's strongenough, but also quick and
nimble and able to kind ofadjust and pick off defenders,
you know, and just do all thethings that you'd like to see
from an offensive tackle.
So I like him.
I think a lot of teams want tosee him as a guard.
I think he's going to behelpful in this situation
because if he's going to be aguard, I think that's one of the
(04:40):
areas that the Seahawksactually need, but they also
need a tackle as well.
So you've got somebody who canplay both of those.
Potentially, I think there'ssome things that could be a high
potential for these guys.
So I'm going to go ahead andget Kelvin Banks over to the
Seattle Seahawks.
It's going to be a good dealfor him, so we're going to be
(05:00):
all right.
So we're going to retake thatone totally.
That doesn't help us at all,all right, so at this point we
know that we still need someO-line help.
I am going to be leaning towardmaybe a guy I hadn't thought
about leaning towards up to now,but I like Ursary for them.
He's naturally on the left sideand, if I'm not mistaken, they
(05:29):
need help there as well.
I'm verifying that real quick.
I know they got charles crossover there, but I think they can
upgrade there and, uh, I thinkthey should.
Uh, he is definitely strong asa tackle.
I haven't got to see a lot ofhis game In fact, I don't think
I've seen any game fromMinnesota, but he has a pretty
(05:50):
great name out here.
No character issues.
I think there's somebody thatcan potentially help them out.
At the same time, I'm sittinghere like, like okay, these guys
need help in other areas too,so it's kind of hard to pass up
some of the talent here.
Jade baron, I think we're gonnago ahead and take him in safety
.
They need a safety, uh, toreplace some of the guys that
(06:12):
are going to be moving on, orthey maybe didn't kind of uh,
step up in the ways that theywould like.
My guy, julian love, is backthere from the Giants.
Honestly, even though he's onour team, I wasn't a huge fan of
his, excuse me, so for me Ithink this is a no-brainer.
I mean, he's basically Barronis basically a sous-sommie knife
(06:33):
.
He can play on the outside, inthe slot, in the box and, worse,
the passer.
He can play as a linebacker.
In those scenarios he's animpact player.
You can't you can't let guyslike that pass you in the draft.
And he got great eyes.
I mean he definitely has noproblem hitting.
I mean he uh reads thequarterbacks really well.
(06:53):
I mean, the guy, he's greattiming.
It's hard to say anything badabout him at all.
He's he's pretty, he's prettygood and he definitely is great
at tackling in space, which issomething that frustrates you so
much when you see teams notbeing able to tackle in space.
It unnerves you.
I can say that from experience.
But I think we like him here.
We're going to go ahead and takethis and we're going to reject
this trade.
We're on a good track.
(07:16):
We're going to keep on goingthe way we've been going.
So today, baron, welcome to theSeahawks, alright.
So here's the tough part here, because I know that we've been
talking about Offense a lot and, honestly, the O-line guys that
have left, I am not totally sureI'm super enthusiastic about
them.
Maybe, perhaps, but this is thetoughie.
(07:38):
This is the toughie.
Oh, perhaps, but oh, it's atoughie.
It's a toughie.
Oh, I think I'm gonna go aheadand just go with kind of help my
guys out.
I want them to be mad at me.
You know what.
Wow, but wow, yeah, thepickings are really slim.
(08:03):
We're sitting here at 82, and Idon't want to drop too far back
in the draft and I don't wantto reach for anybody either.
Hmm, stuck here, we're going totake a royal here.
It's a bit of a reach for us.
We, us, we had 82 and we'redropping down to 92.
But I think this guy might beworth his juice, might be worth
(08:26):
to squeeze.
I mean he's, uh, 21 years old.
I mean he has, uh, at 35receptions, 590 yards, I think
it was, with seven touchdowns.
590 yards, I think it was withseven touchdowns.
Excuse me, 6'4", 251.
I mean he's bigger than DerrickHenry.
So look at that for perspective.
(08:47):
I think he is a better prospectthan Noah Phan is.
I think he's somebody who canhandle the linebackers and the
safeties that come at him.
I mean, he's strong.
He's definitely a passingattack weapon.
He's a huge threat and I thinkhe'd be that on a professional
level as well.
So I think we should go aheadand roll with that.
(09:07):
