Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, hey, cutie, and
welcome back to the podcast.
You may recognize the colors, but the name is new.
We have streamlined our visionwith the Think Cute brand, and
so welcome to the Think Cutepodcast, where we are disrupting
(00:22):
toxic patterns, we are goingafter mental health for women
and girls and we are pushingback the gates of hell and we
are declaring that we are thehead and not the tail, and that
we are above and not beneath, and that we will stand in
victory because no weapon formedagainst us shall prosper.
(00:48):
In the name of Jesus, welcometo the Think Cute podcast.
I'm so excited.
There has been so much that hashappened from the last episode,
but, girl, we still have thesame mission.
We're pushing back the gates ofhell, we're coming together,
we're building this community ofwomen who are strong mentally,
physically and emotionally, andwe're raising daughters.
(01:09):
We are leading ourselves welland we are doing it with fashion
, with style, with grace, withluxury, with all the things
beautiful and cute that you canimagine.
And today I just want to kickoff this new episode.
We are currently in the desert,so if you hear anything in the
(01:30):
background, it's because Ialways find myself being the
most creative when I get time tocome out into a new space.
The desert is like our secondhome and my husband takes the
kids on rides and I get to behere by myself with the Lord and
just be.
My creativity just spikes.
(01:51):
I don't know if you everexperienced that where, when you
get time alone and you just andthe Lord just downloads vision
to you.
It's just so beautiful.
But today I was in with theLord and he was showing me out
of Deuteronomy 429, a kneelingheart.
(02:11):
A kneeling heart.
What does that mean?
Well, in Deuteronomy 429, itsays but if from there you will
seek, inquire for and require asnecessity the Lord, your God,
you will find him if you trulyseek him with all your heart and
(02:33):
mind and soul and life.
It also says in the word seekfirst the kingdom of God.
And there's something I've beenlearning in that.
I have been learning from MrMyron Golden, and he shares it
and articulates seeking firstthe kingdom of God in such a way
that it is just simplified andit is beautiful and I'm going to
(02:56):
share that with you.
But when you think of seekingfirst the kingdom of God, what
do you think of?
You know a majority of us aregoing to go, oh yeah, okay.
So I read my Bible, I go tochurch, I do the checklist and
you know, I do all the thingsthat I believe God wants me to
(03:17):
do, and that would be verylegalistic if you really think
about it.
And God is actually love In theNew Testament.
He actually is relationship.
He's actually love.
He actually is like partneringwith us.
He's not telling us to do this,do this, do this.
He is inviting us to do thesethings in relationship with him.
(03:40):
And so what I've learned seekingfirst the kingdom of God is I
yield my life in such a way thatI put God first, make him the
king and Lord of my life, thatthen I follow the king's
principles of the kingdom, Iseek those principles first, I
(04:02):
live my life out of those and Iteach my kids and I, and I
represent and be an example ofthose principles of the kingdom
and that I, in doing that, inseeking the kingdom first, in
honoring God in all that I do,in yielding my life to him fully
, that is a shift in mindset andthat actually requires us to
(04:26):
learn.
What does the king say aboutthe kingdom?
What is the principles that Ineed to be operating or I get to
be operating under in order tofulfill my kingdom mission in
yielding my life to God.
I think that's just such abeautiful thing because it
actually it takes it from I haveto do this, I have to do this,
(04:49):
and it gets us into thismentality and this beautiful,
peaceful place of I get to dothis, I get to learn this, I get
to operate in such a way thatbrings peace, joy and love.
And you know, if you know Godis love and the Holy Spirit
gives us gifts and those giftsare love, joy, peace, patience,
(05:14):
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
And all of the principles inGod's kingdom, if we follow them
, will give us and bear thefruit of those gifts love, joy,
peace, patience, kindness,goodness, faithfulness and
gentleness and self-control.
If we operate in the kingdomunder those principles, it's
(05:36):
like gravity, like gravity is aprinciple, it is a thing that
just is, it works and it doeswhat it needs to do.
And so God's principlesthroughout the Bible, they work
and if we follow them to what hecalls us to do, they just work
and we will bear much fruit.
I'm telling you, I haveexperienced, in the last six
(05:59):
months and Ephesians 320,abundance in all areas of my
life and I believe, if you knowme, how you do anything is how
you do everything, and it tookme a really long time to really
get that statement, like whatare you talking about?
That's not true.
Because I really resisted thatidea, because it's like, well,
(06:19):
we do so many different things.
How you do anything is not howyou do everything, Like that's
impossible.
I believed, however, when Ireally sat down with myself, got
super real and raw and likeanalyzed my results to what I
was doing in every area of mylife, I could recognize that how
(06:39):
I did anything is how I wasdoing everything.
If I was lazy in one area, Irecognized that I actually
didn't fulfill in every otherarea of my life fully.
Like I was lazy in all areas, like I was taking shortcuts, I
was not being honest with myself.
I was.
You know, how you do anythingis how you do everything.
(07:00):
I could see it playing out inmy business, in my home, in my
responsibilities, in my all thethings.
So I really had to sit with Godand go Lord, I need your help, I
need discipline, I need youknow.
It talks about in Corinthians.
It talks about I.
It says I can't give you that.
(07:22):
I don't know the address rightnow, but in Corinthians, second
Corinthians or first Corinthians, somewhere in the Corinthians
it says I discipline my bodylike an athlete Lest when I go
to preach I be disqualified Likefor real, when you you are a
(07:44):
walking example of your brand,of your business, of your family
, of your parents.
You are the example of God andso, whatever you do in the world
and what people's experience ofyou you know you don't want to
say one thing and then have themcome over to your house and be
like, oh, but you said you dothis, but now I'm seeing you do
(08:05):
this and it's incongruent towhat you say you do.
And now you're being judged andnow they have the opportunity
to disqualify you.
You just lost trust with thepeople because you did not
discipline yourself in order tostand on the foundation of truth
(08:27):
in Christ, your integrity ofwho you said you were.
I found myself falling short inareas and I was like I need to
take this very seriously, because I do have a desire to
not only raise very strong, productive, successful children,
have an amazing marriage, extraordinary marriage, have
(08:50):
amazing relationships with mychildren in the future, but also
make an impact in the world forgod's kingdom and push back the
gates of hell.
I can't do that if I am out ofalignment and incongruent to
what I say and what I do.
Right, and so I had to.
I really made a decision totake this on and um, I now, I, I
(09:13):
my body.
That doesn't mean you trainyourself and you beat yourself
up, weight training and you'redoing blah, blah, blah.
It doesn't mean that you'regoing to the gym and you're
being an animal in the gym.
Right, that's not necessarilywhat that means.
Yes, you can work out and youdiscipline your body in that way
, but there are many ways thatwe discipline our body.
(09:34):
What do we listen to?
What are we saying?
What are we thinking?
What are we eating?
What are we drinking?
How are we treating people?
How are we operating in ourdaily lives?
Do we need some more disciplinein every area?
How you do anything is how youdo everything, and so man is
(09:56):
this.
I will put it in the show notesof the scripture and I would
invite you to just analyze somethings and, like you know, it's
time to raise the standard.
It is time to raise thestandard, disrupt toxic patterns
and operate in an excellentmanner, like it is time to grow
(10:18):
up.
You know, I really would getoffended if someone told me that
before, but it's true, I haveto chalk it up, I have to go.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it'strue, I need to grow up in a
couple areas of my life and thathurts, to be honest.
It hurts to not, you know, begreat right now, because if
(10:40):
you're anything like me, you'revery ambitious and you're always
learning, you're always doingsomething to get better.
And when you find out thatyou're not excellent in an area,
girlfriend, that is not fun andit is somewhat annoying, to be
honest.
So I, you know, and it's, it'sa, it's a thing Like can we be
(11:03):
unoffendable?
I went through this program with, uh, pastor Colin Higginbottom
and he said something and I'mlike how do you do that?
Like, you gotta be real, realstrong.
He said this is what he saidGet your pen ready.
Are you ready?
Write it down If you're driving.
Stop Just kidding, Just takenote.
Be unoffendable, girl.
(11:28):
I was like, hmm, that is somature of you to say that is so
mature of you to say.
That's so mature of you to say,However, how you do anything is
how you do everything, and ifwe're not disciplining our body
and we are falling short inareas and we're out of alignment
, out of integrity, incongruent.
(11:48):
If someone calls you out onsomething and you're incongruent
and they, they disqualify youin an area and go hey, you said
this, but you did this and thisis, this is out of alignment,
you're out of alignment.
A mature person, a mature woman, will go.
You know what You're right.
However, an undisciplined,immature, emotionally
(12:13):
unintelligent woman is going togo.
How dare you say that?
I've been there, I was her.
I was like I was her.
I was like, yeah right, I'mdoing great, I'm doing this,
this and this, and I would makeexcuses for my disqualification,
of my out alignment-ness and Iwould get so offended.
(12:34):
Have you ever like raise yourhand?
If you've ever been offended, girl, how can we combat offense?
How can we be unoffendable?
Well, I'm going to take youback to the word and I'm going
to say I discipline my body Lestwhen I go to preach or live my
(12:56):
life in public I am not going tobe disqualified in a way.
I discipline my body in a waythat I won't be disqualified.
I got to find it, check theshow notes, but I'm going to put
that in there for you.
But are we disciplining our body?
Are we yielding our life?
Are we seeking the kingdomfirst?
Are we yielding our life to theprinciples of God in such a way
that we are operating out ofthose principles so nobody can
call us out Like are we beingexcellent?
(13:17):
Yes, we're human.
Yes, we're.
We're going to fail, and thatis the beautiful opportunity
that we have to learn.
If it's not working for us,it's working on us, right, and
so there's always somethinghappening.
All work works, so everythingthat we do, it never comes void
in the kingdom of God, becauseit's either working for us now
(13:40):
or it's working on us to buildour character, our strength, our
mental fortitude and all ofthose things.
However, are we kneeling ourheart to God?
Are we seeking the kingdomfirst?
Are we seeking him in a waythat we like?
It requires its necessity to toseek God and give it all to him
(14:04):
that we could be changed andtransformed so we can disrupt
those toxic patterns.
So I'm going to read to you aletter from God, and it's so
beautiful.
So it says A kneeling heart.
A kneeling heart is morepowerful than 10,000 empty,
(14:25):
insecure prayers.
This is the time to build analtar in your heart.
It is an altar time.
This is what you need.
You will always need it.
Altar time is the source ofyour life.
In me, says the Lord, with me,through me and for me, says the
(14:49):
Lord, it's with him.
Bend the knee of your heart andmove the world.
One bent heart in worship andobedience cannot be stopped by
all the demons of hell.
No dark power can stop a bentheart of hell.
No dark power can stop a bentheart.
We are experiencing this in ourgovernment right now.
(15:12):
We are experiencing this in theUnited States right now.
Listen closely.
No temptation can seduce it, nofear can grip it and no insult
can wound it.
A kneeling heart is immune tocorruption.
It, a kneeling heart, is immuneto corruption, deceit, greed,
lust and offense.
A kneeled heart, a kneelingheart, cries out to the whole
(15:35):
universe that I am King of Kingsand Lord of Lords, declares the
Lord to you in this letter.
One kneeling heart is all ittakes to change the course of
history.
We're experiencing this in theworld today.
Take note of this.
(15:55):
Command your heart to kneel andit will obey you.
Do not let it have its way.
Bend it to my will, says thelord, and soon it will kneel on
its own.
If it's not working for you,it's working on you.
So let the work work andeventually it says it soon will
(16:18):
kneel on its own.
One kneeling heart begetsanother kneeling heart, until
thousands of hearts are kneelingand thousands of lives have
been changed forever.
Deuteronomy 4 29.
But if from thence thou shallseek the Lord, thy God, thou
(16:41):
shalt find him.
If thou seek him with all thyheart and with all thy soul, be
obsessed with seeking the Lord,be obsessed with understanding
the kingdom, be obsessed withfinding out how the kingdom
operates, so you can be thequeen of your kingdom, your
(17:04):
queendom, be the queen of yourqueendom, be the king of your
scene, be the queen of yourscene, whatever you want to say,
but you can be lifted on high.
So, so, so powerful, sopowerful, so free.
And think about this If we havesuch a vision, such a decisive
(17:28):
course, such a focus on what weare doing, if we know the
principles and we know how tolive them, then what do you
think Like?
So much distraction will be cutout of our lives because we know
our focus.
We're not confused in thismanner.
When we seek first the kingdomand his righteousness, then we
(17:49):
know that okay.
Well, that toxic pattern.
Once we become aware we thinkabout what we think about, which
that is a principle thinkingabout what you think about being
transformed by the renewing ofyour mind, not conformed to the
world, because when you'reconformed to the world, that
means you're a lazy thinker.
(18:09):
Don't be a lazy thinker and beconformed.
Be a disciplined disciple andthink about what you're thinking
about.
Take every thought captive andsubmit it to the righteousness
of Christ and to the truth ofGod and say is this real, is
this not real?
Of Christ and to the truth ofGod and say is this real, is
this not real Like, is this alie?
Is this trying to kill, stealor destroy?
(18:30):
Or is it trying to bring melove, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness or self-control?
Anything out of alignment fromheaven and the gifts of God is
from hell.
So put it back in its place.
This is.
This can give us such a focus, such a simplicity, such a love,
(18:54):
such a peace of mind.
Right, like so I just want toencourage you today on this
episode.
Back you guys.
I'm so excited to bring youjust what God shares with me, my
real testimony, how I ampersonally disrupting toxic
patterns in my own life.
(19:15):
To go to my next level, likebeing in our true identity,
means that we have to bedisciplined, we have to have a
vision, we have to know wherewe're going.
I just had to sit with myselftoday.
It's like I was reading mydeclaration and my vision
statement and there was a partin there and it said let me tell
(19:36):
you this.
It said I know my mission andI'm focused with expectation on
my desired outcomes.
And I had to stop myself.
Do I actually, in today, rightnow, can I tell you my desired
outcomes without thinking aboutit, or am I lying to myself that
I know where I'm going, that Iknow what I'm doing?
(19:59):
I had to stop and I had to geta blank piece of paper and I had
to write my mission and I hadto write my expectations of my
outcomes because I wasn't clearon them.
But let me tell you what, girlfriend.
I'm clear today and I'm goingto focus on that, because I
don't.
I want to discipline my body, Iwant to discipline my mind, I
(20:19):
want to discipline my spirit insuch a way that I have focus,
that I have clarity, that I haveconfidence, because when you
have clarity, you haveconfidence, and when you have
confidence, you're competent todo the thing you're called to do
every single day.
And we do not have time to waste.
Let me tell you this this iswhat Lord the Lord is speaking
(20:43):
to me right now.
He said we do not have time towaste.
Our time is short.
It is of a mist.
Take a spray bottle and mist it.
It is gone in a flash.
That is our life here on earth.
What are we going to do with it?
What is our intentional momentsevery single day?
What are we going to teach ourkids?
What are we going to show themthrough our actions?
What relationships do we needto build, man?
I know there are some thingsthat God is showing me, but here
(21:07):
today, let me remind you thatyou are the righteousness of
Christ.
You're forgiven, you're loved.
You can be whatever you want tobe.
You're not stuck in thatcircumstance.
You can step out of thatcircumstance.
Look and decide.
Decide to go a different route.
You be the fork in the road.
You know like when everybody'sgoing left, you can be the one
(21:30):
to go right and be unoffendable, because you have a clear
mission and you know what you'redoing and everybody's going to
make fun.
You have a clear mission andyou know what you're doing and
everybody's going to make fun ofyou and they're going to laugh
and they're going to say you'rewasting your time.
Why are you doing that?
That's not going to changeanything, like they'll say,
because they are crabs.
They have crab mentality.
(21:51):
When you go right and you don'tfollow the sheep, they will try
to pull you back.
The mindset that you have willtry to pull you back as well.
So you have to be intentionalwith what you're thinking about.
Choose you and step into yourtrue identity, because you are
(22:11):
worth it.
You are more than enough andyou know, against every lie that
tries to come against you, Ibind it in Jesus name because,
