SPEAKER_01 (00:01):
Good
SPEAKER_00 (00:16):
day, podcast host
Mr.
Hammons.
I'm sad.
Why are you sad, Garrett?
I'm sad.
Come on, it's not that bad.
We...
Have made it to the end ofseason one of the Think Biz
podcast.
Woo! See, no reason to be sadthere.
It's a mile spell.
(00:36):
That's fair.
That's fair.
It's a bittersweet because I'mso incredibly proud of what
we've done this season.
But then, you know, we're goingto need to take a break in
between season one and seasontwo.
We have things to do.
Work to be done.
We've got stuff.
Mm-hmm.
(00:57):
important stuff.
But surely, all thingsconsidered, I've had a great
time.
It's been a very enjoyable wayto spend my Tuesdays for the
past four months.
This has been awesome.
So a big thank you to start offwith because we've had our
community of listeners giving usso much love this season.
(01:22):
We've gotten a lot of greatfeedback from people.
We've had...
All kinds of different viewers.
We've even had people go in andcomment and leave reviews and
it's way more than what I wasjust kind of expecting to make
some content and no one wouldreally listen.
But you mighty band ofnetworkers, you...
(01:43):
What have you done for us?
What have our listeners actuallyprovided us, my good sir, as far
as the numbers go?
Well, I did put together somenumbers for us and...
I've been really proud.
Our social media posts this, well, it's been about four
months since we started.
And in April to now, we'vegotten over 10,000 impressions
(02:05):
on social posts.
Yes, snaps, snaps.
We also found out from one ofour podcaster friends that we've
gotten more downloads than about50% of podcasters.
Look at us.
And I was shocked to hear that.
But something that we're reallyproud of.
(02:26):
And one of the things that comesinto play there is a lot of
podcasts just die after a coupleof episodes.
But y'all have helped us be ableto make this consistent and fun.
And we've done 15 episodes.
This will be number 16.
And we've had 12 differentguests.
(02:48):
Mighty 12.
I'm blown away.
The ThinkBiz apostles, you havedone it.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
We appreciate everyone in ournetwork.
Across now multiple days, it hasgrown over these past four
months as well.
Yeah.
I mean, the ThinkBizorganization, like we have five
(03:11):
different clubs now acrossOklahoma and three different
cities.
Yeah.
So it's just, I mean, it's sucha short amount of time that
we've been open, but all ofthese different things are just
moving so quickly in the bestway possible.
But with that, Nolan, my guy, myco-host, what has been some of
(03:35):
your favorite parts of the ThinkBiz podcast so far?
Any favorite moments?
I do enjoy most moments beforewe hit record.
Those are always good chucklesto get things rolling, whether
it be palling around with Brettand I talking about anime or
just Rob Herron, us justshooting the breeze before we
(03:58):
hit record and then catchingpeople unawares.
Those are always fun.
We like that.
Before Rob Herron's episode, Ihad never actually seen his
power washing truck.
Oh, no.
He gave me the full tour of allthe different doodads and
doohickeys that...
go together to make his massivetanks of water and chemicals and
(04:20):
all the magic that goes into hispower washing.
But apart from the physicalstuffs of our good and glorious
members, I always enjoy talkingabout stuff with you in our solo
episodes.
I loved our art conversationwith Karen Bunch.
That was a lovely episode that alot of our listeners I sent out
the link to enjoyed.
Did you have any otherfavorites, my good sir, that you
(04:41):
know of?
Oh, man.
I...
I feel like I learned so muchfrom everybody.
Even going back to episode twowith our first outside guest,
Robert Norris.
The myth.
The myth.
The legend.
The Norris.
Talking about things like goodmental health inside of running
(05:03):
a successful business can makesuch a big impact.
And Ben Shrewsbury, he...
Talk about a guy who can do itall.
He has so many businesses andhis background coming from the
military, going into taking careof people who have lived their
(05:27):
life in service.
It's just so much wealth ofinformation that we've been able
to pull from everybody.
But I am a sucker for our ownsolo episodes too.
Talking stories.
Talking stories.
Talking book club.
Sharing things.
But what's also fun has beenjust the overlap in everyone's
(05:50):
differences in their stories.
We've come to similarconclusions, which funnily
enough brings us to the samenetworking group as far as how
we solve problems, what we wantour business lives to look like.
It's really nice to know thatthere is just groups of
like-minded people that aretrying to do good things in the
community.
And it really goes back to thefact that relationships matter
(06:13):
so much when you are running anykind of business, but especially
if you're just getting startedwith a business.
It's not easy.
And like we even talked about inour episode with Mike here just
two episodes ago, we don't jumpinto any kind of business
situations without risk.
(06:34):
Risk is just a part of what wedo.
But if we build up around us theright relationships and we go in
with the right mentalities andmake it happen, it can be one of
the most rewarding experiences.
And I mean, honestly, that's howI felt with this podcast.
(06:55):
So just, ugh.
I'm sad, Nolan.
I'm sad.
We don't have to be sad, though.
There's more joy to come.
We have plans.
We have action steps that we aretaking.
We'll actually make morecontent.
So you're saying there's goingto be a season two.
There will be a season two.
(07:16):
Womp.
Womp.
I was going to make acelebratory sound.
UNKNOWN (07:25):
Womp.
Womp.
SPEAKER_00 (07:26):
Coming this fall to
a podcast distributor near you.
Yes, so we're going to do aseason two, and we are going to
do a lot of the things thatpeople have grown to love.
(07:48):
The theme song will be the same.
No, I thought we were going tochange that.
What?
UNKNOWN (07:53):
What?
SPEAKER_00 (07:54):
I will fight you.
I know.
Most everybody would fight us.
One of the first pieces offeedback I got from someone was
their partner walking around.
Well, I'll just name names.
Dirk told me that Catherine, after she listened to the first
episode, was just walking aroundthe house going, Business
(08:17):
Solutions.
So that'll be the same.
It's going to be exactly thesame.
We'll keep that.
And we're also going to stillincorporate members into our
episodes.
It's a core part of who we areand a part of this business
community that we have aroundus.
(08:37):
But with a little bit of a shiftas well.
A little shift because we'venoticed that people are still
shy.
Even though we're all risktakers doing business for
ourselves, some of us are alittle shy.
So we're going to make sure tohave some more member curated
questions or topics.
But really try and bring insubject matter experts as well.
(09:23):
years at a corporation and thenthey quit to go do something on
a topic.
I don't know.
Who knows?
Who knows?
We'll find people.
But it'll be cool.
So a little bit of the same, buta little bit of a difference as
well.
And still 30-ish minutes perepisode.
(09:44):
That's right.
So it's going to be really yournice commute time.
Pero mi español se me malo.
(10:17):
Now he's going to have to get anew co-host because mi Espanol
is muy mal.
Un poco.
That was worse than mine.
Never mind.
Un poco.
Fine.
We'll replace Garrett for theSpanish episodes.
So we need translators.
We need voice dubs.
We're going to have a wholebehind the scenes studio now.
(10:40):
We could do Mandarin.
I can say...
Ni hao.
I can say bing.
It means ice.
It means ice.
Yeah.
Go as dog.
The only Chinese I know is froma poster I've had since I was
about 13 or so.
It says, What's that mean?
Giving respect to your elders orbetters.
(11:03):
That's a good one.
It's more profound than mine.
Well, tell us...
Tell us on the tech side, whatdo people have to look forward
to?
Well, Jeepers, we do have ouraudio figured out at this point.
We will probably have a betterrecording software as well to
(11:25):
utilize.
A mic per guest, which will benice.
And we might even, might even,be able to do it digitally.
So we won't have to have peoplein the studio anymore.
And then again, a tech thingpops up and then our outro
starts playing 11 minutes intothe episode.
(11:46):
That will happen less oftenunless we want it to.
That was just the chime ofsuccess.
The success guitar.
I think another exciting thingis we're going to look at making
some of this into a virtualstudio.
One of the benefits of that willbe hopefully incorporating some
(12:10):
cool video to go into things.
Yeah, YouTube channel, having iton some of the different
platforms like Spotify and ApplePodcasts.
Does Apple Podcasts let peopledo video?
It might.
I don't know.
I'm a Spotify guy.
Spotify works more for meusually.
(12:30):
Yeah, yeah.
But anyway.
But for you Apple Podcastlisteners out there, we still
love you.
We're going to make sure thatyou can listen and download at
your leisure.
That's right.
For a time, we had a race aboutmidway through the season where
Apple had the most listeners, but you got overtaken by...
by Spotify listeners.
So if you want to represent foryour platform, you're going to
(12:53):
have to step up your game, Applepeople.
And Spotify listeners, we knowthere's more than four of you.
So please leave us a review.
That's right.
Oh, yeah.
We have about four reviews.
We have quite a few morelisteners than that.
Quite a few more listeners.
Y'all need to get out there.
Give us some love.
Due diligence.
Come on.
(13:14):
Show some representation overhere for Think Biz Solutions.
Now, One of the other thingsthat we are looking to
incorporate inside of this newseason is going to be a
mechanism to improve quality andjust the overall output of the
(13:35):
podcast.
And that, drumroll please...
Is a sponsor.
What?
That was a sound generated by acomputer.
That was a very good soundboardright there.
See the new technology that isbeing provided.
(13:58):
Oh, there it goes again.
So we're going to be getting asponsor for next season to be
able to help spread the newsabout the podcast.
We may upgrade some of ourequipment, but also just have a
partner inside of this.
And so we're going to be doingsome curated outreach for this,
(14:19):
but also...
Networking.
Networking.
That's right.
That's right.
But if you are hearing thisepisode and you're like, oh my
goodness, my business would bePerfect for this.
Reach out to us.
We may have some micro-sponsorsalong the way inside of
episodes, and we're going tohave a season sponsor.
And so it's going to be a wholelot of goodness coming to their
(14:46):
way.
I mean, this podcast, it's onlygoing to get better.
It's amazing right now, if I dosay so myself, but it's only
going to keep getting better.
And you will get some lovelyvoiced...
mid-roll, pre-roll, post-rolladvertisements by the two of us.
That's right.
We can talk about your businessevery week if you want us to.
(15:09):
That's right.
And you can even tell me if youwant the air horn effects in
your ad.
Do we need to hear it one moretime?
One more
SPEAKER_01 (15:19):
time.
SPEAKER_00 (15:22):
We need to add
Winnie the Pooh sounds onto the
soundboard.
That would be great.
Oh, bother.
UNKNOWN (15:26):
Oh, bother.
SPEAKER_00 (15:28):
Um, man.
So how long of a break is thisgoing to be?
I'm sad, Nolan.
Don't be sad.
We're still going to be doingstuff behind the scenes.
Okay, so our dopamine circuitsare still going to be rolling.
It's just that everyone elseneeds to be a little patient
till October.
October.
All right.
Okay.
It's not too bad.
It's not going to be too bad.
(15:49):
Let's let school start.
Let's let summer finish itselfoff as best as it can in
Oklahoma and actually get somecooler temperatures.
To keep you entertained on yourdrive.
Well, I have to say just onelast big thank you to all the
listeners out there.
We love you all, unless you'rebad.
(16:10):
Unless you're bad.
But even if you are bad, badpress is good marketing.
And we appreciate you forlistening anyway.
We do.
But for all of our good,goody-goody-two-shoes networking
listeners, you consummateprofessionals of the OKC Metro
area.
You're the real.
We appreciate you.
(16:30):
That's right.
Well, I guess we have to do ourthing one last time.
One last time.
Garrett Hammons, it has been apleasure making this with you.
Be sure to stay sharp.
And think biz.
UNKNOWN (16:51):
Thank you.
