Socialism in our culture is very different than the socialism described in the Bible. Our worldview is formed more by our political leanings than the Bible’s worldview. He discusses that socialism has to get rid of God at some time, because in order to function, the system needs to have its subjects’ loyalty … not the Christian’s loyalty of first to God and second to government.
