In this episode, Pastor Brandon Porter talks about the prophecy of Simeon. In the Gospel of Luke, he writes about Simeon. Simeon was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. God had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. The Spirit led him to the Temple, so when Mary and Joseph came to present the baby Jesus as the law required, Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and praised God, and said that he could die in peace because he had seen the Messiah. All that Simeon longed for is wrapped up in this baby he now holds in His arms. Like Simeon, we rejoice in His coming, and like Simeon, we long for the day when He will come again.
