Brand new year baby, it's 2022! It's time to take some conscious actions in what we all are trying to manifest for ourselves. Do you have a habit of starting projects, but not finishing them? If so, you're not alone. Whether it's completing existing goals from 2021 or starting something new, I OVER-stand too well how challenging it feels to finish something you started. I'm starting Season 2 with something I personally struggled with for awhile and that was trying to complete things I started. I had the self-starter motivation, but then my fire would turn to smoke half way through.
I share 3 habits that helped me break through and successfully complete a personal goal of mine when I decided to compete in a fitness competition from start to completion. I hope this can add some kind of value to your own personal and professional goals that you're either in the middle of completing or are just getting started.
3 Habits That Helped Me:
1. Quit being a perfectionist. If it feels like 80%, release whatever it is you're doing. So, that you can keep the 20% for on-going improvements.
2. Break the tasks down into little steps. If you're still delaying them, break those little steps into more little steps. You'll be left with such a simple task that you'll be wondering what was keeping you from doing it from before.
3. Give yourself the permission to create a rough draft of your vision. Creating a draft, even if it looks crappy is way better than not having one at all. Once you get started, things start to roll from there.
