Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everyone and welcome back to this Is Me.
I am Marilyn podcast, and todayI want to talk about setting
boundaries and the risks thatcome with it.
What do I want to talk about?
Setting boundaries?
Because excuse me, how to drinkthe mortar?
Because you know, in the lastcouple months I have been

(00:24):
talking about shutting andclarity and quietness, and with
all of that also comes settingyour boundaries.
Now there is going to be a riskwhile setting boundaries,
because not everybody's gonnalike it, not everyone's gonna
understand it, and they maystart talking about you.
They may start saying that youthink you're better than them.

(00:47):
They may start saying thatyou're a bitch and they just
don't, they just can't wraptheir head around this new
version of you.
And for me personally, it is soimportant to start setting these
boundaries for myself andremaining in who I am.

(01:09):
And this is so important to doin all aspects of your life.
In your personal life, ifyou're dating someone, if you're
in a relationship, in yourworkspace, you have to set your
boundaries and protect yourpeace, protect your energy and
also stay true to you, know whatyou believe and man, the

(01:34):
setting of the boundaries is.
It feels good on this side ofthe wall y'all, when I tell you,
granted, I was a crying mess acouple weeks ago, given
everything that I was goingthrough, but I have just been so
focused and intentional, determined to continue to get

(01:58):
better every single day, tocontinue to establish these
tools that I'm able to use whenanother situation presents
itself, because with the goodcomes the bad.
We're always going to face somesort of bullshit, but it's how
we face that bullshit is whatreally is going to determine how

(02:20):
we carry on in life and who weare as an individual, and one of
the tools that I have beenusing is continuing to set my
boundaries.
Be firm in what you believe in.
Don't let anybody veer you fromsomething that you feel strong
about, just like I tell mychildren, any decision that you

(02:42):
make for yourself can never gowrong.
If, in your heart of hearts, ifyou know that that decision
you're about to make, or thedecision you've already made, is
something that you felt strongabout, it can never go wrong
because that is what your guttold you, that is what you know.
Whatever it is that you'remanifesting, you have to go

(03:05):
through certain things in orderto get the outcome that you
desire.
Yeah, I just wanted to talkabout the boundaries today
because I've been doing it.
It's been working.
People are unbothered,disturbed.
What's the saying when?
When they can't, when theycan't say something, when they

(03:29):
can't find something about you, they start to make up lies.
Yeah, that's what's beenhappening, but anyways, as
always, thank you for listening.
Please like, share, subscribeand I will talk to you soon.
