Moyo Rainos Mutamba was born and raised in Zimbabwe in Southwest Africa, and is the cofounder of Ubuntu Learning Village, a community living space that hosts visitors from around the world, a children's school, and workshops for learning music and cultural knowledge.

Moyo shares his story of his desire to learn as a child, & challenges he faced in being able to attend school living on the streets, yet he pursued his passion, got a scholarship to study at University in Canada, and was inspired to start Ubuntu and create free learning opportunities for the children in his community.

Moyo discusses the life style contrasts between Western culture vs. village culture, how religion was used as a fear tactic to control and colonize Zimbabwe,  how music and mediumship is an important part of Shona spirituality & life, and the concept of totems in African culture.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
