Speaker 1 (00:05):
excuse me, is anybody
sitting here?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
sorry, this is taken
sorry, welcome back to this.
He's taken where I'm.
Your host, rob miranda, got abrand new episode.
No movies, but definitely movietalk in this episode.
Um, it's just been crazy thispast week, I would say.
I haven't had a chance to go tothe movie theaters because I've
been pretty busy in chicago foranother podcast convention, um,
with my co-host andsemi-producer, fernando jimenez
(00:30):
what's up, guys?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
thank you for having
me on again.
This is like the fifth, fourth, sixth since the beginning of
the time.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah, the podcast.
This is probably your probably10th.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Honestly, I feel like
you've been on a lot I'm not
the most uh guests on here, butI've been on here a lot.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
You're probably
definitely the top five between
Brandon Cole, glenn and I don'tknow you might be top three.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
I might be top three.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yeah, you might be
top three.
We're going to be talking aboutwhat the convention we were in
Chicago, but this is also a bigweek for movies just because
CinemaCon has been going on inLas Vegas.
Yeah, a big week for moviesjust because cinema con has been
going on in las vegas.
Yeah, had I known the turnoutof this podcast convention.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I wish I would have
went to cinema instead.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, yeah, the whole
.
We went to um podcastconvention back in january that
we recapped in this video thatwe recorded in orlando and that
was like a great episode andthat was just a great week
everything about that week wasjust really really good.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Everything, literally
.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
We went in there not
knowing what to expect and, yeah
, there were somedisappointments, but overall it
was a good trip.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
We learned a lot.
I would rate it 10 out of 10 onthat trip.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, well, I think
what helped that trip a lot, it
was in Orlando.
We went to Disney Springs everyday.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
It was a vacation
business trip and we learned a
lot.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
We learned a lot.
We made a lot of connections,so I think that definitely
raised our expectations for thisone.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yeah, and we were let
down, tremendously,
tremendously, we were let down.
The event really did not go atall how we thought, like
literally at all.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
You know what I was
going to say?
This for the second half of theepisode.
Let's just go dive right intoit.
The event we um went to waspodcast movement, yeah, and it's
one that I think that's mostlyin chicago, texas and dc and dc
yeah and this is definitely morethe business side of podcasting
how to monetize, and not justequipment, but, like I don't
(02:21):
know how to stream your podcast, where the pod fest that we went
to in January was more on thecreative side- yeah, and then it
was more on the creative sideand it also wasn't because we
were like our biggest complaintabout pod fest in Orlando was
that it wasn't.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
There was not a lot
of creative people, you don't I
don't know if that makes senseLike we felt like we were like
more of the content creatorsthan anyone else there at pod
fest, yeah, but than anyone elsethere At Podfest At Podfest,
yeah.
But what I liked about the onein January was that we saw
people outside recordingpodcasts, making TikToks, kind
of in their element.
(02:54):
And then when we came to theChicago one, I think the reason
why we were so excited isbecause their marketing is way
better than the one in January.
So the event itself was likehyped up, it looked really cool,
it has way more followers ontheir instagram page and when we
get there, um well, the firstnight was like an award show
(03:14):
yeah, we'll go through day byday and then yes, I think
overall like it.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
It just did not meet
the expectations no about it,
kind of lame, like, like reallywas.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
I don't want to be
mean, but it really was like it
was lame, like I, we.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
If we had fun, it's
because like we were having fun
you know what I'm saying butlike we didn't meet any nice
people, it was very intimidatingand I'm sure like people
weren't there intentionallybeing like off putting uh we I
wouldn't say we're underdressed, because we just wore like our
regular clothes there's peoplein suits there, briefcases and
the part that's so much likelaptops, like yeah, every single
(03:51):
person was on their laptop likewhat work are you doing right
now?
you're supposed to be makingconnections right and a lot of
the same panels and the samebooths.
There.
We're mostly the same aspodfest yeah so it's not like we
learned a whole lot thereeither.
Yeah, it's true, we mostly wentfor the connections, but I
think we gained two followers.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah, man, that was
sad.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
I'm not even
confident they're going to
follow us by the end of the weekso yeah, no, that was pretty
sad.
It was sad and Podfest wasgreat.
Like you said, it was morecreative side and we definitely
were the cool kids there 100%.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
This one we were the
lame kids I wouldn't say lame.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
We were the outsiders
.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, we were the
newbies.
We were like the new kids.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah, this is a
four-day long thing, starting on
Monday all the way to Thursday, which we didn't even go the
last day because we were justlike this is kind of a bust.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I was pretty upset
I'm not going to lie Like when
we went out to eat on the secondday and like we wanted to go to
like the after party, like Idid want to go, and then I was
like I don't want like rob tothink that like I don't want to
go.
But then I was like bro, I waslike we don't have to go, you
know I didn't want to.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
I didn't want to be a
buzzkill either.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
You know what I'm
saying.
I didn't want to be like wepaid for this shit for nothing
you know like I was thinking thesame thing, though, but at the
same time I'm like dude, like Idon't care, at this point
another difference betweenpodfest and this one.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Like we, um, we went
to podfest for free yeah, that
was.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
We got invited for
free.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
That was awesome and
then this one.
We did pay pricey tickets, yeah, um.
So let's go to day by thing, and I also want the second half
of this podcast.
It's gonna be a shorter episode.
Uh, we're gonna be talkingabout some updates that came
released on CinemaCon 2 that Ifound really interesting.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
So the first day it
was a Monday we went to work the
full day, because all that dayreally was was picking up our
passes.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
So we went straight
from work and we were debating
should we go home and change and?
He's like all we're doing ispicking up passes and we were
just kind of seeing their vibethere.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
And for vibe with
them.
And for those you don't know, this was also taking place in
mccormick place, the biggestconvention center in the country
.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
It's huge and it's so
big like I didn't even know
this part of the freakingconvention center was there yeah
, there was parts that I'venever been to or knew that
existed so, um, it's like afreaking.
You've seen, have you seenseverance?
No have you seen likereferences or clips of it, like
the long white?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
oh yeah, that's
exactly how it was to get in
there.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
We had to go through
so many hallways just to get to
this giant convention center.
So we get there and, um, we didable to go pick up our passes,
which is in this very cool bararea.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Yeah that was really
cool.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
That was the coolest
part, probably I wish we could
have explored that a little bitmore.
So we picked up our passes andthen we went into the actual
convention center where we wentto go see everybody and look it
up.
And it happens we didn't reallyknow until the day of that
there was an award show forpodcasts the Ambies.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Which we're going to
get into a big announcement in a
second about your podcast.
So we went in there and it wasvery cool.
We had it registered in there,we got wristbands and everything
like that, and I'm assuming youdon't have to submit your
podcast to this thing becauseyou were nominated.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Yeah, man, it was
very unexpected.
Thank you to the academy, for Ithink it was really cool
because, like I mean, I haven'tuploaded an episode in like a
month we're talking about alittle shy more than a month.
You know what I'm saying, but Iguess, uh, it's made a big
impact on that short time andbecause you were nominated for
best interview podcast, yeahyeah, with like top contenders
(07:09):
too.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
I can't remember off
the top of my head yeah, neither
can I but literally besidesyour podcast, I haven't heard
anyone's podcast on this panel.
So we go there.
It's like a legit war show.
It was streaming, livestreaming.
I don't know if you can go inthere and find it again.
I haven't tried to yeah, Ihaven't tried either from the
actual live stream, because I'massuming that big screen was
like what everyone saw at home.
It looked way bigger and coolerthan what it looked like the
oscars, almost but you know whatthat's what like award shows
(07:31):
are meant to do.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
So when I went to um
the billboards like I didn't get
to go to the actual award showbecause I had to come back, but
um speaks and my other friendsthat I met there, they were
telling me that it's pretty muchstaged so they make you sit
like up front and then whenanybody some, whenever someone's
going to win an award, theyhave seat fillers yeah so then
when they're like, let's justsay, like a band of like 20
(07:54):
people or like grupo frontera, let's say there's like six of
them, right?
so when they're going to go up,they make sure that someone is
sitting in their seats whenthey're going to go in, so that
it doesn't look empty, so thattheir seat fillers they push
them up to the front so it makesit look way bigger on camera
than it really is.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I talked about this
before.
What an awesome job to have aseat?
Speaker 1 (08:10):
yeah, that'd be cool.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
You're sitting next
to different celebrities the
whole hour.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah, and pretty much
like the the nicer you look,
the closer you are to the front.
That's pretty tight.
That's pretty tight.
It's a real thing, bro.
Look into it um.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
So I want to talk
because this is, to me, the
coolest part about the wholetrip the ambis yeah and the
ambis.
Like I said, it's a podcastingaward.
They had a uh famous comedian.
I thought she was famous, likea lot of people there haven't
heard of her I mean she isfamous take take what's her name
I don't even know her name,right, I didn't?
she kind of reminds me of ellendegeneres she gives that vibes,
(08:42):
but I did see her in an episodeof the Office.
This is how I mostly know her.
But she is a comedian.
She has her own podcast.
She's done several specials andI think I have her on a couple
shows Smaller scale.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
But she carried the
whole show.
She was very funny.
Yeah, she was funny she was agood host.
And and I yeah, I liked it justfor that.
So throughout the whole podcastawards ceremony, like there was
podcast categories, I realizedthere was a lot more like
storytelling podcast thing, Likeyeah, like reenactment, like,
(09:15):
like it's almost like you'rewatching a television show, but
with through the podcast.
Yeah, and those were a lot ofthe categories I was feeling
like.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
I didn't even hear.
I like there was a lot ofpodcasts that I didn't even know
about, but, um, I guess therewas like whenever some people
would win, like people wouldclap like really loud for people
.
And there was also, like evensome podcasts that won that like
didn't have a big following, which that was really cool, like
the, the one that it was like akid's news show.
Yeah, you know it didn't havemany followers, but still, like
(09:44):
I think well, because theacademy is the one who picks,
you know, which I thought waspretty cool, which you wanted to
be a part of.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Well, they, they did
offer, like at the end, like a
qr code, like you can sign up tobe a part of the academy.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
But then I think I
looked, saw like you gotta pay
to be a part of the academy nosense I was like I'm good on
that yeah, I'm trying to be theone getting paid right exactly,
I'm trying to be the onenominated, like I was gonna go
in there, nominate myself andthen there's also, like the
podcast I listen to are comedypodcasts.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
That's my favorite
ones yeah and there's only like
one category that, and of courseare big celebrities like conan
o'brien's um.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
I'm surprised, jake
johnson, I'm surprised those
were nominated only because I Ithought it would be like just a
completely different category.
How are you going to putsomeone who has millions of
followers with someone?
Speaker 2 (10:28):
who has maybe
hundreds?
They didn't even win.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Yeah, which is?
Speaker 2 (10:32):
weird.
I think they did that onpurpose, because one it's
obvious they're not going toshow up.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Which is how you
could.
Yeah, because, like I said, they're Academy picks so you can
go up against.
I don't even think it's aboutstats.
I think it's more on just whatthey feel is best yeah, 100.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Uh, because I love
conor bryan's podcast and there
was also smart list with uh,jason bateman, sean hayes and uh
, I'm shoving me nuts.
I'm sorry I forgot his name,but it's a very funny interview
podcast that I listen to everyweek, um, and we get to your
category the best interviewpodcast.
Yeah, which listen to everyweek, um, and we get to your
category the best interviewpodcast yeah which even like as
ourselves, like we're listeningto all these categories, I was
(11:11):
like I don't even think we couldfit into most of these
categories.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
No, like, no.
Well, you know what I mean.
I obviously fit into theinterview one yeah there was.
There was a hollywood one, wasn't there?
Wasn't there like a movie one?
There was a one something likethat, but like but other than
that, out of like the 20categories like yeah there were
some people who were nominatedmore than once.
It's like we only had like oneopportunity to be nominated, you
know and that's on top of that, like um.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Almost every single
podcast that was nominated was
backed up by a big studio yeah, they were like spit, what was
that big sponsor npr npr.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Amazon um yeah, all
that stuff which we're
independent.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
We do literally
everything ourselves which is
why isn't it great quality?
Speaker 1 (11:52):
is that what indie?
Speaker 2 (11:52):
what is indie means
independent um, yeah, yeah, but
I'm assuming there was acategory the best independent
podcast where it's like a staffof four or lower okay, and we're
, definitely, we're literally doeverything ourselves and that's
why I don't know one day, likeI honestly, like after that
first day, I was like all right,I kind of want to make it a
(12:13):
goal of myself to be nominated.
And I looked into it.
There's a lot of podcasts, yeah, award shows, oh yeah.
Yeah, the ambis is just one ofthem, but like you didn't have a
celebrity in there but also thesame time I was the only one in
the whole audience, I felt likewho knew this guy?
John?
Speaker 1 (12:27):
cryer, but now that
you mentioned him, like he is
pretty, he's really popularthough john cryer is.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Um, he plays alan on
two and a half men.
He's also ducky in 16 candles.
Uh, he's a lex luther in the cwshows.
Yeah, to me, I love him.
He's hilarious, I like him alot, and I was 10 feet away from
him.
I really didn't want to go upand say hi, but you don't want
to be that guy I?
I don't know he did.
He was talking to people but, like I'm sure, like some of his
people, he knew.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
But he did come out
there and present a few awards
too, which is very cool yeah, because, like when, when we,
when the award show ended, wewent to like the very, very
front.
That's where, like all, likethe celebrities yeah, we're
bigger bigger podcasters were atand they were all like mingling
and I each other, yeah, and Ididn't want to be like cut in
front of them.
You know what I'm saying.
Like if you see like two popularpeople talking, you don't want
(13:16):
to like go and also we wereunderdressed for this too, like
people thought this was theoscars, that's all yeah, there
was like people who were likereally dressed up, like there
was like guys and like reallynice suits, girls, and dresses
and heels, and then like weweren't underdressed, it was
business casual yeah, we werefrom work exactly, so I was
wearing like a sweater and someand I was wearing like a dirty
flannel emphasis on the dirty.
(13:37):
Yeah, so that was the first daythere we left.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
We got home like
around 8, 30, 9 o'clock that
night yeah um, I guess there waslike a party or like I don't
know about a party, but likeeveryone we saw at the award
show, we didn't see throughoutthe whole week nope, like they
literally came, collected theirawards and did and did I I
followed john cry.
I looked on his instagram tosee maybe he posted something
about it.
Didn't even post anything aboutit so that's all you know.
Like he didn't give a fuckabout this yeah, I followed that
(14:02):
twitch streamer.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Uh, I think it was
caroline the like korean the
korean or japanese whatever, shewas fun, yeah, I don't think
she was at the at the festanymore.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
They were like I said
, they were just there for the
award show yeah, and after thatanybody who was at the
conference was like formarketing purposes or networking
so cut to the next day, and thebiggest thing that caught our
attention was, like everymorning there was a coffee hour
with Netflix.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Bruh.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
And we thought
Netflix executives or producers
or somebody was going to bethere.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
I don't even think
Netflix was there.
They knew how to market thatevent.
I'm telling you that.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Yeah, and all this
was like, yeah, you get a free
coffee, but all it was like aNetflix sleeve for your coffee.
Other than that, it's justpeople trying to sell you shit
yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
So the event was and,
like I said, they titled it
very, very well says come grabsome coffee with netflix.
You know what I'm saying like.
So I'm thinking like, dude, netflix is going to be there, I
think.
I'm thinking they're going tohave like movies in the
background there's going to bepeople like talking and
networking, which there like was, but like not a lot, like not.
The expos at the one in Januarywere way better.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I thought that we
were confused on what Netflix
has to do with podcasts.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yeah, so I guess
Netflix does podcasts now.
I guess, yeah, so pretty muchit was titled Netflix and Coffee
, but the only thing Netflix hadto do with it was they probably
paid for the coffee.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah, that's it
Probably.
Other than that, like All thebooths were like, well, I
produced my podcast tobuzzsprout and, uh, it was just
people hosting like that, likebuzzsprout pages.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
There was um, npr, uh
, the red circle there was a lot
of companies that I had neverheard of yeah, which isn't bad.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
It was cool that they
were there, but I was like, why
would I want?
Speaker 1 (15:43):
to switch exactly.
You know, yeah, but yeah.
So that's how we started ourday.
Well, this is the highlight ofthe day was that, since we were
going to chicago back and forth,we were like you know what,
let's make fun, let's make somefun out of it, let's go to a new
coffee shop every day so we did, we did that.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
Uh, we got us went to
like a mexican coffee shop in
the beginning.
Uh, the first day I can'tremember what it was called so
it was called.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
It's either called el
or la.
It's la malinche, which is.
I don't know what that means.
I think it means like aztec orindian or something like that
it's a cool mexican owned yeahand themed yeah, restaurant
which we got a cool bagels fromtoo.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
And then the second
day we went to this very, very
hidden spot what was it called?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
okay.
So I actually meant to send youthis post.
I didn't send it to you.
So this spot is called herocoffee and it is literally
downtown chicago, but it'shidden.
It's like in a little alleyway.
So that building like becauseyou know how it's like a little
alley, yeah, so that buildingthere is from before the chicago
fire, so that used to be like afarm and then that was one of
(16:47):
the buildings that did not burndown, so that building itself,
in the middle, that's the coffeeshop.
It's literally like the size ofthis room which was like 10 by
10 yeah, yeah.
So like you go in there and youjust order your coffee and your
food and you leave and it'ssuper cool, super aesthetic, um,
and then they built buildingsaround it, but in the middle
it's that's still from like, from like the shit, like the 30s
(17:10):
or the 20s and stuff like that,so I'll send you the screenshot
about that.
But it's really cool.
It's called hero coffee.
We had, uh, one of theirpopular lattes called a teddy
gram latte really, really good.
Today we're drinking wholefoods.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
I've got this guy on
coffee, I know I was never
coffee before I started workingwith you, no, um, so we did that
.
And also, like you know, therewas different panels you can go
to and listen to, like.
Like I said, we already knew alot of the information we knew
maybe like two panels that wewere kind of like learning.
It was mostly about videoediting, videoing.
But the cool thing about this, like this giant stage room,
(17:42):
there was three different stagesand you can sit in front of
whichever one you want, butthere was three different
speakers.
So to avoid like you can'tunderstand it because you're
hearing somebody next to you orjust overlapping, like that they
give every single person intheir headphones.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
And you can change
the channel to hear a different
speaker.
So if you want to sit in forthis one, like it's monetizing
your podcast, or this one islike getting new followers or
something like that, you wouldjust change it.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
And the colors of the
headphones would change from
blue, green or or, yeah, red.
So for those of you guys wholike have been to like music
festivals, it's like a silentdisco.
So you could like put onheadphones and you just like.
If you want to listen to, likewhatever dj like yeah green, red
, blue you just put it on andthen you're just like it was
cool, it was really cool becausewe're like one.
One speaker would be boring, and then you would be like yeah,
listen to the next one.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Yeah, it was.
That was a cool aspect of it,but we were our badges to get in
through.
Everything was labeled ascreators and that's like the
lowest, I guess, tier ofeverything.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah, which is crazy,
because at podfest was there
only one pass, it was justcreator pass, right?
Speaker 2 (18:50):
no, there's creators
and other things, but like, at
least that got us in everywhere.
You can go to everything, likeanybody can go to anything there
yeah this one, like we gotturned away, but now you guys
are just creators, which is wildto me because, like I guess
maybe because like creators theysay, like are the face of the
podcast, and because we doeverything like we thought we
would.
But you know what?
Speaker 1 (19:11):
so, out of all the,
I've only been to a couple
events, but the podfest one, thecreator one, that pass could
get you anywhere.
And then there was also, likesponsors, like people who were
working there yeah and then atthis one, the creator pass was
like the lowest pass you couldget almost anywhere, except for
some panels, and then everybodyelse had like, uh, sponsors or
(19:32):
media or like brands and stufflike that.
You know, which I thought wascrazy?
Speaker 2 (19:38):
because we didn't see
a lot of creator passes, we saw
more like business ones orwhatever yeah, and, like you
said, it was just so hard tomake connections everyone seems
so unfriendly there and then Iwas like I'm gonna try the
justine uh, justine uh approach, like fail for those who don't
know.
Like how I made friends withjustine there, who's been on
this podcast for the mentalhealth episode.
(19:58):
I was like that that teachersucked right and I just nearly
started dogging on this personand then, yeah, that was right,
it's like I tried it again.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Nah, it did not work
like this person was like no,
everybody, I'm trying to listen.
I was like, yeah, for real.
Yeah, she's like I'm actuallytrying to listen and I was like
so we just walked away, yeaheverybody was just like and
there's nothing wrong with beingprofessional, obviously, you
know, but it just was not ourvibe, like I really thought that
I was going to be like makingtiktoks and taking pictures and
(20:27):
no like also podfest had like alot of things outside like we
were playing ping pong in thefreaking lobby.
Yeah, and we made so manyfriends and this one like had
nothing going on no, they hadcoffee there and the coffee
wasn't even that good.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
No, she was ass, yeah
.
So then, um, the day we startedthe day like around at the
actual convention, maybe like 10o'clock, states like 2, 33
o'clock at the latest yeah and Isaid we had more fun than
ourselves because we went out toeat every day Like we went to
Chinatown had a great dinner.
Man, that show was so good.
Shout out Byway.
Because we went out to Byway totry out their new menu in
(20:57):
Hammond.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
And then we didn't
even bother going the last day.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
We didn't even bother
going in Well, so I'm glad we
didn't go the last day.
It would have been nothing.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
And, like you said,
there was parties at the end of
each night.
Shout out Wally Green.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Because one of the
who we met at PopFest, one of
the after parties to gettogether was at his club that we
met him and he had a Kia's pingpong clubs throughout the whole
country and one's in Chicagowhen his after party was there
and it's just the ping pong baryou in one chicago, when his
after party was there and it'sjust the ping pong bar, like you
just go play ping pong.
That's a pretty cool flex, likeoh yeah I know the owner and
then we were gonna go but, likeyou said, we're just tired and
(21:34):
like weren't feeling it.
I was like do we really want tohang out with these people even
more?
Speaker 1 (21:37):
that we don't like
yeah and we didn't go and we've
seen tiktoks and reels of um theactual party afterwards and it
looked lame as fuck yeah, itlooked really lame so we're kind
of glad we didn't go um, inwhich I would like to go to the
club eventually, yeah, but um,yeah, we didn't go the same
thing with, like, there was theget-togethers at the bar
afterwards and if, whoever youcome with there, that seemed
(21:59):
like who everyone was justtalking to I'm glad you said
that, yeah, because I didn't seeother people trying to mingle
or network, because and I hatecomparing it to the other one in
January, but in January if wesaw one of our friends talking
to someone else, we would joinand introduce ourselves, or vice
versa, people would come andintroduce themselves to us.
(22:21):
And here it's like we try to dothe strategies that we did at
the other one.
We went to the bar and I thinkthat because the convention
center was so big, we didn'tknow if those people were here
for the, the podcast convention,or if they were just there for
like, regular work yeah, youcould another convention going
on too right next door.
Yeah so you really couldn't tellthe difference which.
And in, uh, podfest in orlando, everybody was there for podfest
(22:45):
.
So you know, whenever younetworked, you know they were
there for that.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Yeah, um were pod
fest.
So you know, when you never younetworked, you know they were
there for that.
Yeah, um, anything like me, thepeople at the bar people were
just there for lunch, like Ididn't want to interrupt them
while they're eating, you knowyeah, and then, like you had to
like to sit down, you can't justlike sit down and also like I
brought business cards to thepod fest.
No one was even exchanging cardsor maybe like a couple, a
couple people yeah, we did get acar for one podcaster, but um
(23:10):
she had like over 30k followerslike she didn't need us.
She don't need us, bro.
Yeah, I hadn't followed her.
No, I'm joking are you.
So that, um, it was kind of abust honestly, and I think we
said like the first day there Iwas like I'm honestly good on
these kind of conventions for aminute, maybe if we get invited
again to podfest next year Iwould go to that.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Yeah, I was thinking
that too.
I'm done with going to eventslike this.
I do have some more planned out, but I mean I'm just trying to
do something else instead.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Well, on top of that,
we knew all this information.
We could honestly have spokenat this thing.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Yeah, I mean, the
only reason why we went was
because we were excited tonetwork.
We were excited to meet otherpeople, to gain more followers,
to maybe.
I think that the biggest thingthat we were excited for was
that we were going to be likehey, like maybe we can meet
people from the Chicago area, yeah, and then we could start
bringing them on our podcast orwe can be guests on their
podcast.
So that that would have reallyhelped us expand here, Because I
mean, in Indiana dude, I meanbesides me and you, I'm trying
(24:07):
to think of someone else who hasa podcast he's just his friend
oh yeah, but like less than fivepeople, you know yeah
Speaker 2 (24:14):
like for sure, less
than five people and part of the
reason why I was excited to goto this too.
There's this guy who reachedout to me, who wanted to start
his own podcast, and I was gonnatake him with us to like, so we
can learn together I'm glad hedid not come with us.
I know we did talk about biggame, like trying to get a lot
of people from podfest to comeout there with us and I'm glad
they didn't show up because Iwould have been a waste of money
for them yeah, I would havefelt terrible.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
We could have showed
them around chicago, which would
have been cool, but yeah, andit's rainy ass weather but the
weather kind of was ass yeah butif we do get invited to go to
orlando for free again, I thinkI would think about it and, like
I said, we would make it into avacation.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
And then, since we
already know a lot, like I said,
like it was in disney springstoo, like we, every night we
were there in disney springsdoing something, or like
universal.
You know, it was a funexperience I missed that.
Definitely like top moments um,and the same exact week this
week at cinema con as we'rerecording, this just finished up
.
And um, I kind of wish I wentthere.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
It was in vegas that
would have been dope and dope.
You got to do some events likethat, like actual movie events.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
I know there's this
festival that I wanted to go to
in September.
It hasn't been announced whenor where.
Well, I know it's in Texas, butI don't know where yet.
But CinemaCon.
For those of you who don't know, it's a big convention where a
lot of movie theater studios, movie studios go through and
either announce new movies thatthey're working on or they give
(25:33):
deeper looks into Superman.
James Gunn came out there andspoke.
These other big movies give adeeper dive.
I just want to share with yousome of my biggest anticipated
lists that came throughSpider-Man 4, Tom Holland.
They announced the release date, which is going to be 2026.
I want to say may excuse me, Ididn't write it down, but may
2026 that sounds about right.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
They always come out
in may may is avengers doomsday.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
I believe it's in
july.
Towards the end of july it'scoming out.
I'm excited for spider-man 4.
There's a lot of theories outthere right now it's going on.
Um he's also.
He hasn't been officiallyconfirmed to be in Avengers
Doomsday but it's anticipated itis going to come out soon.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
That's actually
really exciting for Marvel One
more.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
Spider-Man news.
Spider-man Beyond theSpider-Verse finally has a 2027
release date, and it is very faraway from now, which is only
two years.
The last one came out in 2023,and people are bitching about
that, but they said the reasonit's pushed back one one, of
course, the strike that happened.
Oh, yeah 2024, but two likethey want to elevate the
(26:33):
animation which is insane.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
I was just gonna say
how can you elevate something
that's already so?
They released a couple stillimages of it and it looks tight,
it looks very cool, very cutthere's like a lot going on in
the images too, like there'slike the character and in the
background there's a bunch ofstuff.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
It's going to be
insane, but it's also putting a
lot of pressure on the movieitself to do very well.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
I think it'll do good
those movies.
I've only seen the first one,but you haven't seen the second
one, no.
What the hell, Dude?
You know I'm not a movie guy,man.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
That second one, I
mean.
It's anticipated to be the oneof the greatest trilogies of all
time really the second one'sfantastic.
The first second one, animationwas even better than the first
one, I felt like maybe I'lldownload it and watch it in my
car yeah, this guy is watchingmovies.
He he hacked his car and I waswatching movies in his dashboard
as he's driving, told him itwas a bad idea, so if anything
(27:29):
happens in the future, it's onrecord that I told him not to do
this.
I hate you.
I know you're not a John Wickfan, but John Wick animated
prequels coming with KeanuReeves involved.
There has been talks like thislike same thing with Creed
Michael B Jordan like an animespinoff coming of it Interesting
concept.
Jordan like an anime spinoffcoming of it interesting concept
(27:49):
.
I I mean keanu like I'm sorry,john wick seems like a better
way to introduce anime into this.
Uh, it's cool.
It's cool like when the firstjohn wick comes, he's already
listed a badass like the best ofthe best.
So to see a prequel with that,it's incredible.
I know you haven't seen thejohn wick movies.
The fourth one has led to youbelieve that he's dead.
(28:10):
Like he just dies, Like hefalls over and dies.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
We're on three right
now.
Right, we're on the last onethat came out was four.
So four he dies, Supposedly.
There's also a spin-off,Supposedly.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Yeah, it looks like
he dies, like he gets shot, a
like falls over and then it endsyeah, that's crazy.
I should watch it, and there's aspin-off, the ballerina with
anna de armas coming out thisyear and it shows he's already
in the trailer, so obviously hedidn't die.
And even to confirm he didn'tdie, we're also getting a john
wick five coming out.
I mean, it's not shocking thatthey're gonna make this movie
(28:46):
just because it's making them alot of money, and why would you
stop that?
That's true.
But I mean, if they're going tomake this movie just because
it's making them a lot of money, and why would you stop that?
Speaker 1 (28:50):
That's true, but I
mean, if they're good, I guess
keep going, because I think Fastand Furious was good up until
like 7.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
No, 5 was good, 5 was
a stretch and, speaking of that
, like we should be gettingupdates on that next movie
anytime soon.
You've seen the last one, right?
Speaker 1 (29:09):
I've seen all of them
.
Part 2?
Yeah.
That's the one that's comingout right.
What is it Fast?
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I don't know 10 or 11
.
I gave up on those movies, butit's.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
Part 2, though right,
Because the first one was Part
1.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Was it?
I don't remember that you're abig hunger games fan, but
sunrise of the reaping sunriseon the reaping is the next
hunger games movie coming in2026 what number is that on?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
four or five yeah
because I've seen the first one
pretty good the first one thatcame out like we were in middle
school.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
I remember watching
that in middle school class.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
You can click all
because of the book, right, yeah
?
Speaker 2 (29:48):
yeah, the beatles
cast announced all four movies
are coming in april 2026.
Four different movies comingout april 2026, that's a lot.
I don't know how that's gonnalook, if it's gonna be like an
hour and a half long movie or a45 minute long movie, or why not
just make it one big movie.
If it's gonna be differentperspectives on each of the band
member, that would be intense.
But to come out four differentmovies the same month, that's
(30:11):
insane.
I'm excited for that.
I don't know if it's gonna comeout the same week or one a week
weekly.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Maybe is this gonna
be like the actual movie or the
disney plus thing, or is thatdifferent?
Speaker 2 (30:18):
that's just different
.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
This is gonna be an
actual movie where the cast is I
don't know how I feel aboutthat, because you're asking for
the people to like, you'reasking for them to do a lot and
I mean you're, you're gonna wantas much success on each movie.
You know, yeah, the first one, obviously I feel like it's gonna
do the best and I'm just goingoff of time uh, you know people
(30:41):
are tired of the beatles.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
I mean some diehard
fans, which they are great, I
love the beatles, uh, but fourback to back it's kind of much.
That's a lot.
I mean beetle fans who arediehard are gonna love that
month, but to me I was like evenlike imagine if marvel dropped
four movies in april, like theywould not do amazing?
I don't think I don't know howbig of a video game fan you are,
(31:04):
but the zelda live action ismovie is planned for March of
2027.
That's going to be good, haveyou ever played?
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Zelda?
No, I thought Zelda was a.
Zelda is the princess right.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
No, isn't he like the
elf with the queen?
I thought his name was Link oh,I don't know, I think I think
zelda is.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Correct me if I'm
wrong, but I think zelda is a
princess and the dude with thesword his name is link oh well,
I don't fucking know.
Speaker 2 (31:31):
Yeah, you have a
second guess of myself now, uh,
final destination bloodlines iscoming.
September 2025, our friend uhseabass yeah, who's a big?
Fan of this movie.
He reviewed the first one withme on this podcast.
Um, he's excited for this.
I'm excited for it's adifferent concept a little bit.
It's changing things up andit's gonna be more gruesome than
(31:51):
the previous ones, I feel likemore gruesome yeah, extended
previews of james gunn'ssuperman movie was shown ahead
of a minecraft movie screening.
I've seen the trailer.
Because it's not releasedonline, I'm more excited to see
this movie now.
A lot of people are kind oftired of DC and stuff like that.
This is James Gunn's attempt tobring Superman back to the big
(32:13):
screen.
And then people get excited.
Even the music alone got meexcited for the Superman movie.
I love Superman.
I think he's hated on a lot forno reason.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
I'm not a fan.
People prefer.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Batman.
But there's nothing wrong withsuperman.
He's a bad he's.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
He is the ideal hero
he just does not give, I think
someone wants badass from asuperhero and he just doesn't
give badass vibes no, he's, he's.
Well, then again then againalso like tom holland, he's not
badass, but I don't know he's.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
I've seen pictures of
him in the odyssey.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
He could change soon
yeah, but no, I get what you're
saying.
I'm definitely not a supermanguy this might change you.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
I hope well.
A big thing that's gonna bechanging people's minds crypto
we've seen more we've seen we'veseen more uh footage of crypto.
Have you seen?
Have you seen trailer yet?
Yeah, like of crypto, likeplaying with him, like as he's
down, and stuff like that I'veonly seen the first trailer okay
, I'll show you the second oneafter this, but it looks fun
yeah, it looks fun.
That's what it's meant to be afun superhero movie with.
(33:15):
I mean, I heard comparisons tolike guardians okay, galaxy,
that's a good comparison yeah,yeah.
Well, obviously, because, likeit's jim gunn he did the
guardians of galaxy yeah what'snext?
Um a new, extended look atjurassic world rebirth unveiling
during the universalpresentation.
(33:35):
Do you know the read notredoing, but the continuing
jurassic world I hate that movie.
That first two of the trilogywith chris pratt were great.
The third one kind of sucked.
But this one's gonna be likeyears later I don't know how far
in the future later but they'regoing back to the island like,
why, like?
Speaker 1 (33:51):
just nuke the fucking
planet.
Nuke that island there was onethat I saw, I forget.
I don't know which one.
It had to have been three.
I wanted to walk out, yeah sobad?
Speaker 2 (34:02):
uh, five nights at
freddy's 2 arrives exclusively,
exclusively, in theaters thisdecember.
Have you seen the first one?
Speaker 1 (34:09):
have you played the
video game?
Speaker 2 (34:10):
nope, have you seen
footage?
Speaker 1 (34:11):
I know what it is,
though, but with a giant
animatronic teddy bears, it'snot my cup of tea my girl and me
we've been watching this.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Like she's into
streaming, like, uh, watching
people stream and her favoritestreamer was doing the uh five
nights of freddy games.
Everyone watched it.
It looks fun.
It's kind of ridiculous, though.
The game concept, uh, thisspecific game, not the first one
, um, and a lot of people hatedthe first one, the movie the
movie version, like it wasloosely based on it.
It wasn't exactly um it's notanimated, right I mean cgi a
(34:44):
little.
I mean it's practical, they arewearing suits.
Yeah, how to Train your Dragonlive-action remake trailer
number two went down in a storm,a sequel already in the works.
Have you seen how to Train yourDragon?
I've never seen those.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I've never seen it
either, but I've heard really
good things about that movie.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
And the live action
trailer looks amazing.
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, I saw how they
did the comparison in the
trailers, like the animated oneand the live action one.
They're nearly identical.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
So I mean with these
live action movies, a lot of
times they try to change the waythey look, to make it more
realistic in our world, and welearned from Sonic Like no.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Dragons are not real.
I mean no, no, no, no, justkidding, like the scaling and
everything, yeah yeah, yeah, shut up, don't do that to me,
don't do that to me.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
But we learned from
Sonic Dude just make it look
like how it is in the cartoon.
We love that version.
Yeah, exactly, and that'sexactly what they did with this
one.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
And there's talks of
other live action Like they
switched Stitch.
Remember the first Stitch wasreally ugly.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
That was a rumor,
that wasn't even real.
Oh, I thought it was real.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
They were like let's
change it, just how we did with
Sonic.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
No, that was a rumor
that wasn't real.
In this upcoming movie.
But I mean Snow White I justreviewed and those dwarves look
weird as fuck.
I still haven't seen it.
No, not a lot of people have.
It's one of the biggest flopsof the year so far.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Poor girl.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Nah, no, I was very
sympathetic in my review for her
and I kind of regret doing thatbecause she kind of deserved it
Really yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
First footage from
wicked part two shown to
attendees have you seen thefirst one?
I still gotta watch the firstone.
I've heard a lot of uh goodthings about it it's good.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
It's good um.
If you're a musical theater fan, you would love it yeah, I
thought it was okay, I neverwanted to go see it again.
I think to me personally it'soverhyped a little bit.
I heard people like left cryingthat's kind of ridiculous yeah
but um, it did get me excitedfor part two coming out though
because, like.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
It's obviously not a
finished story I'll put it on my
car too, which I think it's theshow.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
I think it's
streaming on peak right now.
If anyone wants to watch it,okay.
Uh, the next james bond film isset to be a fresh, exotic new
chapter which means it'sprobably not going to be a white
guy who throws in the wordexotic in anything.
That's true.
That's true, glenn Powell.
And Edgar Wright presents thefirst look at the Running man
(37:19):
remake.
Never even heard of the Running.
Speaker 1 (37:21):
Man.
No, what is that?
Speaker 2 (37:22):
I don't know.
Remake never even heard of therunning man.
No, what is that?
I don't know.
I'm probably gonna hate, because my dad hates anything
when I say like I never heard ofthis movie you know his
childhood movies scream 7, sonic4 and the legend of ang the
last airbender coming in 2026.
Have you seen the animatedversion of um?
Speaker 1 (37:38):
yeah, last airbender?
Uh no, I never.
I was never a fan of that show, but I know a lot of people
really liked it.
I I'm a Scream fan though.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
Scream fan.
Yeah, I like Scream.
Uh, that's what Jen Arteaga, Ibelieve she's coming back.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Yeah, I liked, like
the first Screams a lot.
Did you see Sonic 4?
Speaker 2 (37:51):
I have never seen any
.
I've never seen any Sonics, butit's on my bucket list I
they're good.
If we were kids I could see usliking them a lot more.
They were entertaining.
James Magnol I'm sorry forforgetting his name.
He plays Cyclops in the X-Men.
He was in those movies.
(38:13):
I like him a lot.
He's a great actor.
Sue Storm is pregnant.
In the Fantastic Four firststeps they showed an extended
trailer for the new fantasticfour movie.
I remember I told you the otherday it's four, four yeah, yeah,
did they do it?
No, no I think the images ofsome things, but the trailer has
(38:33):
yet to come online you gotbetter ideas than the whole
company.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
That would have been
cool and that wasn't my.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
I like to take that
credit, but it wasn't me.
It was like a big fan theorythat yeah that would have been
cool though.
I think they didn't do thatjust because it was happening
during CinemaCon.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
That makes sense.
The first Avatar Fire and Ashfootage shown from the live
action Avatar with the blueAvatar wounds.
The third one footage has beenshown to already and that's
supposed to come out, I believe, this year.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
that's pretty quick
because I feel like those movies
take a long time so it's comeout last year oh really.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Yeah, the whole
strike thing pushed it back.
Uh, predator badlands will havea predator as one of the heroes
.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Don't like that no no
a lot of people really like
those movies.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
No, I like the movies
.
I don't like the Predator beinga hero.
Oh yeah, that's kind of weird, yeah.
And the last thing I got isfirst footage of Tron Eras shows
light cycles in the real world.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
I've never seen the
first one either but, last time
I went to Disney, I was not ableto go on the ride.
Do you like that movie?
Speaker 2 (39:43):
I've never seen that
movie either.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
No.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
I remember watching
the trailer when it came out.
I think disney is trying tomake it a bigger deal than what
it is, because I didn't care.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Yeah, I think the
reason why they're trying to
push it is obviously.
I think the ride has a lot todo with it.
I think it's probably one ofthe biggest rides at disney
right now and so far, disney hasmade a lot of changes this year
.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
I'm excited, I'm
excited.
I think villains world issomething that's coming I think
it's gonna.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
I think all that will
be like if you visit disney
within the next two years it'llbe a completely different disney
most, which is probably why I'mnot going this year um, I think
they're replacing cars land no,they're, they're replacing,
they're making.
I think they're making cars land, or I don't know.
Actually I could be wrong Idon't know um.
Also, universal is making bigchanges this year too yeah,
(40:24):
which is cool because there's alot of people who go on
vacations a lot, so it gives youa different experience yeah,
I'm trying to keep it fresh andstuff like that.
Speaker 2 (40:31):
I mean guaranteed
like 10 years.
It's gonna be like a differentupdate you know, yeah, and the
prices are gonna go up um, theapril is coming.
We're in april now.
A lot of good movies coming outthe amateur, um sinners,
michael b jordan movies comingout, accountant 2 a lot of good
movies come out in april, butthen we're gonna get a may where
(40:53):
, like a lot of the good moviesare coming the thunderbolts and,
um, all these other greatmovies.
Is there any movie that you'veseen that you would want to go
see this year?
Speaker 1 (41:01):
um, I'm really
excited for lilo and stitch,
just because I'm the first oneon this podcast, yeah it's
because, I mean, I grew up.
I grew up with the disney filmsand I remember watching that
movie when I was little dude, Ire-watched the original, like
it's good.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
A month ago, I cry
it's a good movie.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
It's a good movie so
I'm excited to see.
So I'm excited for that.
Um, I think that's about it asof right now because, like, I
don't go to the movies a lot,but whenever I do get a chance I
want to make sure it's like agood movie that I really like
yeah and um, you know this isthe first year like we're
starting to get a group ofthings, because last year was
(41:35):
the ticket and big hits from theuh strikes and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
Zendaya is gonna be
in the new movie.
I don't think it's coming outthis year if it is gonna be like
later this late this year yeahI'm excited to see her on the
big screen.
The odyssey is gonna be apretty big one.
I don't know if that wasscreened this year, I see that's
the new christopher nolan moviewith a ton of actors like
robert penson, matt damon is itabout like like the odyssey,
like the greek mythology?
(41:59):
yes, oh, that's gonna be dopeyeah, and there's been um leaked
photos of matt damon and that'slike that's dope.
Yeah, I would watch that yeah, yeah, I'm gonna show you some
pictures from that, because yeahtom holland's there's and days
in there, robert panton.
They said yeah a lot.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
A ton of big
celebrity names in there that's
pretty cool because you need abig cast for that movie.
Well, it's a christopher nolanmovie of course it's gonna be
big cast, like I could doliterally anything in hollywood
now he owns us he owns us.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's gonna do big things umother than that.
Congrats on your nominee.
You said you didn't win thankyou.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Thank you, though I
mean either way.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Like I said, it was a
, it was a good experience um
for the best interview podcast, and I could have been out there
too.
I feel like I.
You're a good interviewer.
I feel like I'm.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
We have different
styles yeah, we definitely have
different styles of interviewing.
You are really good.
I always tell you this that, like once the camera turns on,
you're a completely differentperson you're like.
I feel like, at the end of theday, like we're both.
We're both characters.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
You know what I'm
saying yeah, I agree with that
with your podcast.
It's an interview based podcastyeah I turn yours on.
Speaker 1 (43:07):
I could tell it's an
interview yeah I try to make
mine more natural, like aconversation yeah, yeah, yeah,
where?
Speaker 2 (43:12):
I feel like my
strength is like I can reel it
back into asking questions ontopic, yeah, and everything is
always trial and error.
I mean, I've always tried to,like you know you've been on
hiatus, though for, like yousaid, a month or so.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
Yeah, it's been like
a month where I just I just I
don't feel like creatinganything, which is kind of weird
because I've always been supercreative.
You know, I don't really careto like dance, to make a podcast
, to do like any post.
I force myself a lot though, um, like this sunday, oh that's
we'll plug it I can't reallyplug it because it's gonna be in
the past yeah, but on sundaywe're doing the whole coffee
party and I'm excited to bethere.
(43:44):
But like I don't know, I kind ofbe like I don't want, like
people like I turn like into anintrovert sometimes you know
what I'm saying I get likeoverstimulated, if that makes
any sense yeah, um, let's talkabout that coffee because, like
this, is gonna be the first ofmany, if it's a success, which
so?
If we're talking in the future.
It's already been a success.
Remember, this episode's gonnacome out on monday, right, yeah,
so the coffee party alreadyhappened.
Speaker 2 (44:06):
Success a bunch of
people were there so let's
explain what the idea of thecoffee party yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:09):
So for those of you
guys who don't know, um, lately
what's been trending a lot onsocial media is um, people are
tired of going to the clubs lateat night, getting drunk and all
that stuff.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
So in big cities like
miami, new york, chicago, I
think that might be us, becausewe're turning 30 soon.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
But in big cities
what they do is that during the
day they have a DJ at a coffeeshop and the DJ is just going in
and there's a bunch of peoplewho show up.
It's basically a daytime clubwith no alcohol and you're just
vibing with coffee and yourfriends, you're having a good
time.
You go dance for a couple hours, you leave, you coffee and your
friends, you're having a goodtime.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
You go dance for a
couple hours.
You leave.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
You still got time to
go grocery shopping do whatever
you want to do, you know whatI'm saying, so it's gonna be
it's.
It was that cielito lindo cafein whiting, indiana, uh, from 11
to 2, and I'm super excitedlike it's gonna be the first of
many, because you got somelineup already.
Yeah it's also gonna be thefirst in northwest indiana, so
I'm glad to be a part of thathistory.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
Yeah, and with you
and your friend DJ Speaks.
Speaker 1 (45:06):
DJ Speaks and the CEO
Seabass.
Don't forget that.
Speaker 2 (45:10):
Yeah, he'll see if he
shows up.
It shows his face.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yeah, maybe he'll be
in Japan, arizona, this guy is.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Mr.
Worldwide, right now.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Yeah, dude, he's
everywhere.
This dude is insane.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
He's up these
brilliant ideas.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Yeah, yeah, um on top
of that you're.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
You're still doing
your kids in the other business.
Um, yes, it's going crazy thisyear.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
You definitely are
slowing down, not because you
want to, not because you can't,but like we see each other every
single day and I think you've.
I mean, if there's anybody whosees me more, it's you.
You know we see each other morethan our own families and I
mean, if I noticed it, I'm sure, sure you could notice that I've
definitely gone down.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
This guy told me he
wants to quit and become a
construction worker.
I was like we're not doing that.
You're not doing that, it'stough man, it's tough.
I hope your podcast comes back.
Like I said, you all have yourfirst hidden episode ever now,
with me and Glenn on the podcast.
Or not hidden, hidden lostepisode we recorded a full thing
(46:06):
.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
It was a great funny
episode which I think is crazy,
because we we lost an episode onyour podcast too yeah, we're
just not meant to be.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
I think the world's
not ready for it.
That's probably why we did itlike we get canceled.
We opened up the episode withus reading the script of super
vet as the characters and wedidn't even acknowledge it.
Speaker 1 (46:24):
No, no, no, no, no.
We did that for about 10minutes, yeah, and then, out of
nowhere, we just started thepodcast, but yeah.
So I don't know when my podcastwill be back, but it's not my
priority right now.
Speaker 2 (46:35):
Yeah, you got to go
for that win next year.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
Yeah, we'll see,
we'll see.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
We'll try.
Hopefully you too, man.
Yeah, it'll be tight.
I want to post pictures of thenominee, because we got pictures
of it up there too.
That whole experience podmovement, podcast movement.
It's kind of a bust.
We did try to make the best ofit as much as we can.
I'm so excited to do thispodcast.
I still have fun doing it everytime.
I'm trying not to go anywhereanytime soon.
A lot of great moviesannouncements have been coming
(47:06):
out and I'm excited to get intothe superhero era again.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
I'm sort of excited
to get excited for superheroes
again because I haven't been fora long time no, I haven't
watched movies like that since, probably like 2019 I think that
was when marvel was at its peaklike 2017, 18, 19, yeah, and
then I think it slowed down alittle bit, or maybe I just
slowed down down, but I'mexcited for this upcoming year.
Speaker 2 (47:25):
I just finished
watching the show Invincible.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
You were telling me
about it Great fucking show.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
I'm going to C2E2, a
Comic Con convention coming up
in Chicago soon, and I'm excitedjust to see more Invincible
stuff there.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
You're going to buy a
lot of stuff there.
Speaker 2 (47:41):
If I can afford it,
yeah.
Stuff there can be reallyexpensive yeah yeah, well,
thanks, fernando for coming backon the podcast.
Got you, bro.
