Ever wonder if putting up the Christmas tree right after Halloween makes you an overachiever or just really into the holiday spirit? We kick off a merry debate about the timing of tree decorations and whether Coco, our high-flying chihuahua, will approve of any changes to her beloved love seat. As we gear up for the Florida vs. Georgia showdown, we share our longing for fireside family gatherings and the trials of rearranging furniture to accommodate our festive plans.

Balancing home projects with personal priorities, we ponder the perfect season for indoor renovations and the dream of a dedicated podcasting room. Join us as we embrace the nostalgia of Halloween, reminiscing about trick-or-treating adventures and indulging in Sonic's 50-cent corn dogs. Reflecting on how our routines have evolved over time, we consider how life stages shape our current lifestyle choices and seasonal activities.

What if the future of money meant living in a 3D printed home? We explore the potential phasing out of the $100 bill in favor of digital currencies and the innovative world of 3D printed houses by companies like Icon. Amidst the humor and banter of election night antics and college football confusion, we acknowledge the changes brought by daylight saving time and transition into the holiday season, embracing the festivities with open arms.

Christmas time's a-coming.
Christmas time's a-coming.

Yeah, it's going to be two in arow, two Mondays in a row, is
that?

Speaker 1 (00:41):
right, you better not say that Just chill out a
minute, wait till we get it outthere.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Did we release it on the right day last week?
I can't even remember.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I don't know, maybe.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I don't know.
We're sitting here at FreedomSquare, otherwise known as the
Pergola.
We're sitting backwards, yeah,we're sitting backwards.
We're sitting at the fire pit.
Got a fire going and we usuallyhave a TV sitting on our little
wall right here watchingfootball, watching Florida and
Georgia right now Really goodgame, by the way.

(01:16):
I've had to flip everythingaround because there's a little
bit of a wind and it was blowingright into where we'd be
sitting at, so I've had to movethe TV to the other side, move
the chairs, move the equipmentto the other side of the fire,
and here we are, voila.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Voila, here we are Watching Florida and Georgia.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yes, for the second time, everybody heard us.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
You were on your phone, I know, but so when
you're on your phone, you're notpaying attention to anything.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
I got a text from my girls.
I told them that I was out atthe fire pit and I wish we lived
closer and we could sit out bythe fire pit and have drinks.
And then one of them texts backDrinks yeah, me too, and yeah,
my drink.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You made it sound like alcoholic beverages.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Well, it don't have to be alcoholic Well no, it's
not going to be.
Drinks is my green apple water, yeah.
And she texts back come, moveto Texas and we'll get a
compound and all live together.
I said that sounds like a greatidea.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Knock it out.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Bye.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
See ya.
So yeah, we're going to put ourChristmas tree up.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
No, we're not.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
We are.
We're not going to decorate it,I just want it up.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
It is way too early.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
It's not Today we always fuss that we don't want
to take it down.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Today is November 2nd .

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Well, it's okay, we'll do it on November 3rd.
Just get it out for me, or I'llget it out and you're going to
come home from work one day andit's going to be up.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
No, it will not.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Well, that's right, because you're always home
before I am.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
No, I'm saying it's in a big box.
Even if I drag that big box inthe house there's no way you can
put that tree together.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I've put it together before.
I don't think you have.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I did because you would never put it together one
time.
I don't believe that either.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Because you never do it when I want it, so you got to
do it when I want it If youdon't you pick bad time.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
It's like you plan this, you wait till I get in
right in the heat of battle withsome project, and then it's
like, hey, I need you to put thetree up and I'm like, no, not
right now because I'm doingsomething.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yes, right now you just gotta do it.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
When I gotta do it it doesn't work that way well,
we're doing it I don't mind, Iwant to get rid of a couch I
don't mind putting the tree up,it's the ornaments that kill me.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
We're not putting those on right now.
We might not even do ornamentsthis year.
I'm kind of talking myself outof it.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I'm just saying that's.
What kills me is the ornaments.
Why you don't like to put theornaments?
We've got too many ornaments.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I love a tree with full ornaments.
We don't even put them all onthere.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
There's not enough limbs on the tree.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
There is y'all, just don't do it we would have to
hang at least two ornaments perlimb, if not three, on the nine
foot tree, or we got a 10 foot.
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, I can't remember I have to get a small
ladder and get on the top stepto reach the top, so whatever
might be 10 when we used to geta a real tree, real tree I
remember before it's well, oneof them touched the ceiling yeah
, one time and that was probably.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Well, it's a that might have been a 12th.
No, it got the high beam, soit's probably.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
No, this was probably about 11 foot, where it was
touching 10 and a half to 11foot right at one part.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
We put it in the A-frame.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, because we had to.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
But now we're going to get rid of a couch, because
we have a couch and a love seatin our living room and we don't
use that's the love seat that'sover there and we don't use that
.
So I just want to get rid of it.
So we're going to get rid of it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
The dogs like it.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
The dogs are going to be very upset.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Especially Coco.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
But she's got two other beds over there.
She's got three beds in theliving room, One bed in the back
.
In our bedroom she's got a bed.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
But she's like one fluid motion.
She takes a run and start andlike jumps, like puts one paw on
the this is a little chihuahua.
Yeah, on the seat part of thecouch.
Then the next foot goes on thearmrest, then that next thing

(05:41):
you know, she's up on the verytop of the couch and she runs
across it and then she knowswhere the curtain, where the
split's at.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Makes me so ill, because my curtains stay dirty,
because the dogs get in thecurtains.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
And there'll be a wet mark and it gets dirty and
there's a brown mark.
Yeah, well, no, I'm talkingabout on the glass.
Oh, yeah, on the glass, yeahFrom where she shoves her head
up against the glass to lookoutside.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
She's got to get squirrels.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
She thinks she does so.
So we'll get rid of that, andthen we'll have one big old open
area.
Well, I want a chair Like arocking chair.
I think, Well, you've got onerocker.
I think I want a rocker.

(06:25):
I seen one on TikTok.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I was just wondering if you were going to talk into
the mic or keep getting furtherand further away.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I knew that's what you were looking at.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Well, I'm still in the middle of trying to make one
room into a podcasting room, Iknow, and I need your help
because I've got to get thelighting right now.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
But what did I tell you?
I wasn't helping in that roomuntil you fixed my bedroom.
And you ain't even fixed mybedroom.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
It's priorities.
It's all about priorities.
Podcast room is a veryimportant priority right now.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I've been asking for the bedroom for years.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
What about it?
To paint it.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
I want to, yeah, redo it.
I want to redo the wall.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
That sounds like a spring project.
It's getting too cold now.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Well, not um what's the word?
Oh?

Speaker 2 (07:19):
We fall back tonight, by the way.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Clocks.
Oh my gosh what are you tryingto say?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Not.
According to a guy at ourchurch, in the wintertime is
when you paint, so you're insideand stuff.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Oh yeah, but who's listening to him?

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I do, why Sometimes?

Speaker 2 (07:38):
You should listen to me.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
But why Nothing?
I want to do.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Well, yeah, I mean, but you can look at it this way
too In the summertime you don'twant to do outside projects
because it's too hot.
You do inside projects.
So I mean, you can look at iteither way.
You just pick the best time, the best day, and don't start it
on a Saturday.
You actually start the projecton a Friday evening.
You like get everythingprepared Friday.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
So Saturday bam, you can start.
We're both off by 1 o'clock onFridays.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Usually.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Most of the time yeah , I mean, I am, I am off.
What was that?

Speaker 2 (08:12):
That was a bird.
Go ahead.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I'm off by 1 o'clock all the time on Fridays.
I'm off at 11.
So.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Well, it must be nice .

Speaker 1 (08:25):
It is nice.
I love my Fridays.
I need y'all to stay out andwork longer so I can have a day
by myself, I so we're gonna putthe tree up tomorrow.
Anyway, what have?

Speaker 2 (08:45):
we done this week, so we're going to put the tree up
tomorrow.
Anyway, what have we done thisweek?
How many Halloweeners did wehave?

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Zero.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Does everybody out there that listens?
Do they have a bunch of peoplecome to their house wanting
candy?
Do you think I don't know?
Do you think that there's a lotof people out there that say,
no, we don't have anytrick-or-treaters?
Do you think it's 50-50?
Or do you think it's like 75%?
80% of people say yeah, we geta lot of trick-or-treaters.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
I say, 75% get trick-or-treaters.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
You think?

Speaker 1 (09:18):
so yeah so do.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
75% of people live in subdivision type areas, because
that's what it'd have to be.
There's a lot of people live onmain roads.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Well, that's true.
And they're not getting anytrick-or-treaters Some people
just go trick-or-treat who theyknow they might have a house
here, and then they might have ahouse 10 minutes away, right.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
I think it'd be neat, though, if you had kind of like
that.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
These things don't quit falling on me.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
Leaf yeah it's skirming.
In the neighborhood, kind oflike a block party.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I guess you'd call it yeah, like we used to do with
Nicholas and your friend, didn'twe do that?
A year or two in thatsubdivision he lived in yeah,

(10:17):
and then it seems like we'vealways had friends when Nicholas
was little lived insubdivisions and we would go
there.
Yeah, that one and a ton ofcandy yeah, our nieces, wasn't
that right?
We didn't ever go with them.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah, they rode in the back of the truck one time
or a few times yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Oh yeah, because we would go to Sonic and always get
50 cent corn dogs.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah, do they still do that.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yes, because I got a text.
And if we hadn't just had corn?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
dogs.
I probably would have got uscorn dogs that night.
I forget about that.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Yeah, have got his corn dogs that night.
I forget about that.

Speaker 2 (10:48):
Yeah, 50 cent corn dogs on halloween from sonic
yeah, keep that in mind, putthat on your calendar for next
halloween.
I'll never remember.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I'd remember if we, if we did the trick-or-treating
thing oh yeah, before somebody'syounger was involved with that,
yeah we'd always remember to dothat.
But so now nicholas just goesto a couple's house that lives
in a subdivision and they giveout candy.
Our youth does.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Because they have a bunch of trick-or-treaters.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
But how long can he do that?
I don't think he's in youthanymore.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
But we've had no rain for like a month yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
No rain.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
And then Halloween evening, it decides pour down
and keep raining.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
I just seen pictures of of poor little kids that were
drenched in parents that weredrenched.
They got in a little bit oftrick or treat before it came
yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
I kind of miss doing that.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
I do, but then again I don't.
I do, but I don't.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I remember it used to be because it was a hassle,
because we had jobs to wherewe'd get off at like 5.
Like with me, I didn't knowwhen I'd get off work.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
So you're just trying to hustle to get done, yep, to
do all that, and now that I'mnot in a hurry, I can get home
at any time and ain't going.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
And we don't do none of it.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Different season of life I like it, but I don't like
it and that's the thing abouthalloween too, is you don't know
if it's going to be 90 degreesoutside or 40, 50 degrees,
because we've had it both.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
Yeah, we have had it both.
Anyway, what's tuesday?

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Let's talk politics.
You want to talk politics?

Speaker 1 (12:27):
I just asked you what Tuesday, but no, we're not
going into politics.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Yeah, we are, I think we should?
No, we're not, we're not goingto get that stirred up.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
It's a political commercial, that just came on
right now, I know, and I justasked you what is Tuesday?

Speaker 2 (12:40):
It's the day we vote, okay, is that what you're
looking for?
Yes, I'm not voting, so who areyou voting for?
I'm not voting, you are.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I'm writing in Bob Ross.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yes, no, don't do that.
Well, I am.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I'm writing in Bob Ross, who's with me.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
But do you know that when you do something like that?
No, I'm just saying if youwrite in something just being
silly, that's like to me.
I'm just saying if you write insomething just being silly,
that's like to me, I considerthat a slap in the face to
everybody that's lost their lifefighting for this country.
You know what I'm saying?
Wow, you're just going.
I'm joking around.
I'm not talking about you,because I know you're just
funning.
But if you're just going upthere just to be, you know doing

(13:19):
that, no, I'd just rather younot even vote.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
I won't vote then.
No, you're voting.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
I'm not voting.
Yes, you are.
You always vote.
Who you voting for?

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Whoever you tell me to.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
No, you got your own mind, you make your own decision
.
No, I don't.
You know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
I vote for who you tell me to Don't lie to the
people.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
No, no, no.
Whoever Jody tells me to votefor, I'll tell you like I'll ask
you, like they're saying, areyou better off now than you were
four years ago?

Speaker 1 (13:51):
I'm good.
How are you, don't?

Speaker 2 (13:54):
ask Are you spending more money on groceries?
I'm not talking about this.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Don't get me started on groceries.
Yeah, are you spending moremoney on groceries?
Don't get me started ongroceries.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Four bags of groceries.
How much money you got in thosefour bags now?

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Over a hundred dollars, seems like, doesn't it?
All right, we're off topolitics.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Why do you want to get off politics?
I?

Speaker 1 (14:11):
don't like politics.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
You only got a few days left.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
You go on your other show and do your politics.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Another podcast.
Well, I don't want to talkabout it either.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Well, good, because I don't want to hear about it.
I get enough of it.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Either because I don't want to hear about it.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
I get enough of it.
Either way.
I already told you last weekthat we should podcast on the
night of the election and youtold me no, because you might
say cuss words.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
I did say that.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I know, I think we should.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I've got to concentrate.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
I think we should do TikTok Live and we should do
play-by play of what they say onCNN.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
You say you said a bad word.
You think we're going to watchCNN.
I'll flip over there just tosee what they say.
See if they start having ameltdown when they see Trump
start winning.
Trump, trump, trump.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Trump, trump Trump.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Trump.
Trump.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Anyway, there go our viewers no.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Look whether your person wins or loses on Tuesday.
Life goes on Wednesday.
Life goes on, we don't gripeabout it, that's right, you know
you might gripe about it andgripe about prices or whatever,
but everybody's always going togripe Life goes on.
Yeah, get some good sleepanyway.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Life goes on.
Yeah, get some good sleep.
Anyway, life goes on.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Give me a drink of my Pepsi.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Quit drinking your Pepsi.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
You want to talk about the $100 bill.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
What about the $100 bill?

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Did you know?
And then I lost my.
Where'd it go?

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Juddy likes to just look up random facts.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
I like seeing stuff On what.
Where'd it go, juddy?

Speaker 1 (15:47):
likes to just look up random facts I like seeing
stuff On what On the internet.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Well, farewell to America's most common banknote
after decades.
Farewell what do you thinkwe're talking about?
I never have a $100 bill.
Despite the $100 bill being themost circulated cash component,
the paper money is set toundergo a makeover.
Did you know that?
No, as the world increasinglyshifts towards digital payment

(16:21):
systems, the future of physicalcurrency is coming under
increased scrutiny.
Would you believe that?
No?
Do you use cash?

Speaker 1 (16:32):
Do I use?

Speaker 2 (16:32):
cash.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
I think you know the answer to that one.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Recent discussions suggest that the iconic bill
could be discontinued, driven bythe rise of digital currencies
and changing consumer behavior.
However, however, the $100 billis here to stay for now, but
some new changes on the way.
So see, they make you thinkthat it's going away, but it's

(16:58):
not.
So they are basically going tosay they're redesigning it and
it's expected to entercirculation between 2034 and
2038 the new circulated bills.
So we still got like 10 years.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
Why are they doing?

Speaker 2 (17:17):
it Increasing counterfeit issues, things like
that.
2013 was the last time thatthey've reissued the $100 bill,
but then they're still talkingabout doing away with it, which
would be crazy.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Do you carry cash?

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Cash is king.
Yeah, I do.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
I never had cash.
Why would I?

Speaker 2 (17:44):
not.
I've always carried cash.
I know I keep cash, not that Ialways use my cash, but I've got
it Right.
I guess I never have cash.
Why would I not?
I've always carried cash.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
I know I keep cash, Not that I always use my cash,
but I've got it Right becauseyou got it.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Because you just don't know.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
I never carry cash.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
But why not?

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Because I never have it.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Why don't you have cash?
Don't you think you need tocarry cash?

Speaker 1 (18:02):
I got a dollar in my car.
I carry cash I got a dollar inmy car.
I think that's about all I got.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Alright If the grid goes down.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Here we go.
Bye, bye, grid, the grid'sgoing down.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Right, and now you can't use your digital currency
anymore and cash needs to beking now, or it will be king
because you can't do anythingelse.
Those that have cash Well, atsome point, but that's.
Those that have cash, well, atsome point, but that's what I
have you for, yeah Well, at somepoint the dollar will be worth
anything.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Right exactly, so why worry about it?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
What about 3D printed houses?

Speaker 1 (18:38):
How does the 3D stuff work?
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Have you heard of the 3D printed houses?
Can you believe that they'redoing that?

Speaker 1 (18:44):
They can't do that, have you seen how.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
But you've seen how they make just 3D prints of
stuff, just whatever models.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
I've seen stuff made from the 3D printer.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Right.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
But I've never seen it in action.
Is that what you mean?

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
No.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
People are buying and living in these futuristic
homes, with dozens sold at acommunity in Texas and more
widespread adoption expected infive years.
Well, there we go.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
We can move next to Kristen and have a 3D home.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
There you go, we can do that.
It's no wonder that 3D printedhomes seem more like science
fiction than real estate fact.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Icon.
I think that's how they domovies now.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
What 3D 3D stuff.
Printing.
Yeah, what do you mean?

Speaker 1 (19:36):
That's how they make houses and stuff.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Probably not.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Cost too much.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Yeah, they use cheap, cheap stuff.
Yeah, let's see Icon.
That's the company I-C-O-N, ifyou look it up.
That's what I was looking upand seeing what it was all about
.
One of the best known companiesin the space is working with
NASA on housing andinfrastructure for the moon and

(20:03):
Mars.
So not only are they buildingreal estate here, but they're
working with NASA on futuristichomes or buildings on the moon
and Mars.
Can you believe that?

Speaker 1 (20:14):
No, what about that one?
You like?
I can't believe you didn't sayit.
Just I have a chance to say it.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Oh, Uranus.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
I knew it.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Have you seen pictures of Uranus?

Speaker 1 (20:28):
Yeah, there comes, the little boy.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Do you know how big Uranus is?

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Really you just called my.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
What are you talking about?
We're talking about planets,uh-huh.
What are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
All right.
So these houses, rounded,dome-like test structures
produced in Austin Texas.
They resemble places like LukeSkywalker used to call home.
Do you remember in LukeSkywalker the home he lived in?
It had a rounded top.
Maybe, that's what they'retalking about, but Icon is also

(21:03):
working with Linner to producesingle-family homes at Wolf
Ranch, a housing developmentabout 30 miles north of Austin
where the tech company is based.
The company's chief operatingofficer, which I can't pronounce
his name, told Real Estate Newsthis summer that he thinks
people will start to see 3Dprinted communities popping up

(21:25):
in their town in the next fiveyears.
Wolf Ranch isn't Icon's onlyresidential project, but it's
the furthest along the last ofthe 100 homes at Wolf Ranch are
now being built, or ratherprinted in what the company
describes as the world's largest3D printed community.

(21:45):
Do you want to know how 3Dprinting home works?

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
All right, at the heart of Icons.
You don't want to hear this.
This is interesting.
Well, let me mute your mic.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
At the heart of Icons operation is a massive 3D
printer.
You've seen the 3D printersright.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Maybe I don't guess.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Okay, well, I've seen this and this is huge.
It also described by thecompany as the world's largest.
The five-ton behemoth squeezesout a proprietary mix that
includes concrete powder, waterand other additives, layer by
layer, on a carefully programmedpath.
The result is walls that have astony, corduroy-like texture,

(22:34):
which is futuristic and unusual.
The material isn't smooth tothe touch, but smooth to
experience All rounded cornersand wavy walls, but smooth to
experience, all rounded cornersand wavy walls.
It can be covered by wood ordrywall for those who prefer
something more familiar.
What about that?

Speaker 1 (22:52):
I just think it's weird.
How can they print something sobig?

Speaker 2 (22:57):
3D printed homes versus traditional building.
So do people want 3D printedhomes?
People are buying them, watsonsaid I think that's how you say
his name as of mid-October,nearly 30 of the homes in the
Wolf Ranch development have beensold, with another 15 or so.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Oh no, florida just scored, did they yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:18):
With another 15 or so for sale and dozens more going
on sale soon.
The homes are priced from$395,000 to $595,000, which this
is Austin, Texas, so it's goingto be a little bit higher
anyway and there are eight floorplans available, ranging from
1,574 square feet to 2,112square feet, with three or four

(23:43):
bedrooms.
There is demand for these homes.
He says we can deliver abeautiful and high-performing
home and it has less maintenanceand incredible features like
modern designs with emphasis onnatural light and connection to
the outdoors.
Mm-hmm, how about that?

Speaker 1 (24:06):
How about that?

Speaker 2 (24:07):
Let's see.
Let me find the other thingthat I read 3D homes can be
cheaper than traditionally builthomes.
Oh really Icon has producedseveral for Community First
Village, which provides housingto people coming out of

(24:28):
homelessness.
It has also challengedarchitects around the world to
come up with plans for resilient, dignified, environmentally
friendly 3D printed homes thatcost $99,000 or less printed
homes that cost $99,000 or less.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
So how big is that?
Did you tell me?
Yeah, I did tell you, and Iwasn't listening.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
A single family home.
It ranges the ones that rangefrom $395,000 to $595,000,.
They range from 1,574 squarefeet to 2,112.

Speaker 1 (25:01):
I don't know how big that is.
I need bedroom size.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
And that's three to 2,112.
I don't know how big that is.
I need bedroom size, and that'sthree to four bedrooms.
Okay, it's not big.
I mean it's not small, but it'snot big.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Three to four bedrooms is big to me.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Well, if you got four bedrooms, you ain't got a whole
lot more in that house if it's1,500 square foot.
But yeah, I think with theseit's just the way, the
architecturally how it's donewith the roundness and really no
corners and stuff like that.
That's what you're paying for,but I think, when it comes down
to it.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
How do you put your kid in a corner if you don't got
a corner you?

Speaker 2 (25:33):
don't you just have them keep walking until they
find it?
And they never find it.
But it said in there too thatit's cheaper because it'll
gradually get cheaper.
Plus, because of your labor, you won't have as many people
working for you.
So there you go, between thatand AI taking over there goes
all of our jobs, there it goes.

(25:55):
So how about that?
How about that?
All right, what do?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
you got?
I got this cute little shirt Ijust found.
It says Turkey Ham.
Make America Thankful Again.
It's for Thanksgiving.
It's cute.
Sorry, I wasn't payingattention to you when you were
reading that.
I was letting you have yourmoment.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Well, it figures Well .
I need you to listen in caseyou can stop me and you can ask
questions along the way.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
I did listen and the only question you asked was how
big it was, and then I'd alreadymentioned that.
I just can't imagine something3D and I'm living in it.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
PrintedD and I'm living in it, printed, and I'm
living in it.
Well, if you see the 3D printerthat I'm talking about, if you
see the pictures of it, you'llbe like this ain't real.
There's no way.
This is real.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Right.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
But it is.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Florida and Georgia are tied.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
It's basically like if you had a concrete truck,
mm-hmm, and you know the thingthey've got in the back that the
concrete comes out of.
Yes, it's like a little rampthing.
They point in certaindirections.
Yes, it's almost like that.
Their mixture, the component, they've got it, just they keep
feeding into it and it justkeeps building walls and stuff.
It's hard for me to explain.

(27:08):
You'd have to watch the videoand so.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
On these walls can you hang pictures and stuff yes,
though everything.
It's sturdy.
It's going to withstand thetornado.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, and it's in there too.
They haven't run into anyissues with rules and
regulations on how you buildthese, because you have to have
permits and all that.
But yeah, if you'd havelistened, you'd have heard me
say that you can put drywall onthe wall and stuff like that.

(27:40):
So, yes, you can do normalstuff.
I heard that.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
So if you did that, would you do all your furniture
3D printing too?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Can you do 3D printing?

Speaker 1 (27:48):
Would you?

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Would I If I wanted, like a concrete chair, I guess,
or a plastic chair, I guess.
So no, I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
That's going a little bit far, is it?
Yeah, let's ease into it.
How about that?

Speaker 1 (28:02):
Oh, okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Which I don't know if it's easing into it.
If your house is a 3D printedhouse, is that easing?

Speaker 1 (28:07):
into it, so does it get built faster.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Yes, I didn't go into all that.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
I'm glad I didn't, because you wouldn't listen
anyway and I'd be repeatingmyself.
I'll just ask questions and youjust answer them.
You don't have to read it to usfire's going out.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Yes, it is talk while I throw a lock on it what am I
supposed to talk about?

Speaker 1 (28:32):
I had the biggest month I've ever had in Red Aspen
in October.
It was my birthday month, so Ibusted my butt.
I don't know if jody saw me awhole lot during october.
I think I stayed in my room, inmy studio where you need to be
you're about to be solo am Iyeah I feel like I already have
you're about to be.

(28:52):
That stuff don't interest word.
I'm saying that stuff don'tinterest me.
Sorry, I can't.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
What do you mean to research?

Speaker 1 (29:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Tell me something I don't like researching nothing.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
I feel like you're staging our podcast when you go
researching.
It's like those shows that yousay are staged, scripted,
scripted, yeah, even the.
What are the shows called?

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Well, there's some that's not supposed to be
scripted when they're real life, when they're yeah, if it's not,
if it's supposed to be.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
What's it called?
Not real life, but what arethose shows called?

Speaker 2 (29:30):
I don't know, I can't think of Whatever you watch.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Anything these days, Like nothing.
It's getting bad.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
It's all that food that you've ate.
It's got all these poisons init.
You want to get on that.
You want me to start talkingabout that.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
No, I'm just going to quit eating.
We're just into this ballgamenow.

Speaker 2 (29:54):
Well, I'm saying Georgia about to score.
I know I'm hoping Georgia'sabout to score.
It's tied 20-20.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Four minutes and six seconds left, and there he goes,
and they scored.
He's in Touchdown.
Georgia, did Alabama play today?
Did they play?
I don't know, I don't know, Idon't know.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
I have not kept up with any football.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I keep up with more football than Jody does you do?

Speaker 2 (30:20):
I have not kept up with anything this year.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
I've watched very little football Stunk it up.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
I don't even consider them anything.
They're not a football teamthis year.
I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Have they been?
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Have they been?
I don't understand the playcalling.
I don't understand thequarterback.
I don't understand the coachSome of the stuff he's doing.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
They might have gave Florida a little bit too long
Time left on that clock I don'tknow Four minutes.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
So what do we got going on?
Anything coming up.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah, we're going to put the Christmas tree up, oh
that's.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
We've already talked about that.
Time changed tonight.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
That's right, so we fall back, so we get an hour
extra sleep that's gonna be darkyippee so does that mean we got
to start recording at threeo'clock in the day if we want to
record outside?

Speaker 2 (31:11):
because it's gonna be before it gets dark.
Yeah, because it's gonna getdark.
So we're talking about four and4 30.
This is gonna start gettingdark every day.
But then what?
5 30?
In the morning it's gonna bedaylight.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
We're accomplishing nothing, absolutely nothing just
let it be leave it where itstays.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Yeah, lighter, longer there's no reason to change it,
no Just go with it.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah, why do we change it?
Why you didn't research that,of all things, you didn't
research that.
Why do we change that?
I did, I could read the wholearticle.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
I've got an article on here, but I figured you
didn't want me to talk about it.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
I just want you to answer my question.
I want you thing.
Why Just to answer?

Speaker 2 (31:57):
my question Because you don't know the answer.
I do know the answer, I didread it.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
All I got to do is Google it.
Anyway, I don't reckon we gotmuch going on.
Well, tuesday, what do we gotto do Tuesday?
We already talked about thattoo.
We got a little bit going on,but after that we good, oh, oh.
Next week, uh-oh well, I had tofind a different data pod next
week because next saturday's ourfriends giving at um friend's

(32:24):
house what is that?

Speaker 2 (32:25):
for the youth oh, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I should know
that I'm involved that's right, you're supposed to build a fire
.
Yeah, I can handle that.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
Okay, what are we going to cook and take over
there?
I think he's going to do theturkey.
You might put it in a smokeryou gave him.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah, I'm sure you will.
Is it like finger foods, asnack?
What are we?

Speaker 1 (32:51):
doing Whatever.
You want to bring Dessert, youcan bring desserts.
I know I want to take one ofthose apple pies, but we need to
do some kind of side.
I'll do mashed potatoes.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Oh my gosh, georgia intercepted it.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
It's about time, because they've turned it over
like three or four times already, florida's just falling apart.
You hear nicholas screaming aminute.
He probably ain't even watchingit no, he's watching not
anymore.
He ain't well he might not beso, yeah, we got a little bit
busy.
Eat this week not really.

(33:32):
We're not busy anymore.
We used to be busy, but whenyour child gets in college and
it's just you just have one oh,all that slows down.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
It's like being busy, yeah now we've just gone and
done our own thing because hecan drive himself oh yeah,
because we ain't got a yeah, sowhen you have to, when you're
not taking him places anymore, that has freed your time up
completely.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
When the football coach says we're getting done at
this time, and you get there toget him and an hour later
they're still not done.
Yeah, yeah, I don't miss that.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
No.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
I do not miss that at all.
I miss the going every Fridaynight.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
To the game.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
But I don't miss the picking him up at practice at
all.
What was that that?

Speaker 2 (34:30):
was a leaf that hit the microphone.

Speaker 1 (34:32):
Well, that sounded like it hurt Like it could hurt,
yeah.
So all right, I think we'reslacking.
We about to cut her off.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Well, you ain't come up with nothing else You're
leaving me.
See, that's why I try and comeup with something to talk about,
and you don't want me to.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
I'll just want to talk about life.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Well then we would have had 10 minutes of life talk
, and that's okay.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Maybe people just want 10 minutes of life.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Maybe they do.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Maybe we should stream live next week, this week
, and put the tree up.
Yeah, you're letting my fire goout.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
I'm getting cold.
I mean it's got to go outsometime.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Well, okay.

Speaker 2 (35:10):
You're going inside after this anyway, right, yeah,
so why do I throw anything elseon there?
I did throw something on there.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
I know, but I don't feel the heat anymore, like the
fire's going, but I don't feelthe heat.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
They went for two and got it.
Well, I can't stoke the firefrom where I'm at.
Oh no, they didn't.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Oh, did they call that touchdown back?

Speaker 2 (35:30):
And now they made a touchdown.
This was the first time.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
Oh, I thought they did no All right, she's
hallucinating.
And she can't remember words.
No, they did do anothertouchdown, so we're going to let
y'all go Because theyintercepted it.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Kirby's smiling.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
My nails look good with the fire in the back.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Does it?
Yeah, take you a picture, they're like shining Anyway.
All right, we appreciate y'alllistening, wrapping it up.
We'll be back every Monday, same place, wherever you're
listening.
We'll be there again.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Same back channel.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
And we'll be, I guess , recording from out here again.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Or we might record from Friendsgiving.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
Well, that's right.
Right, we could do that.
We could record both podcastsfrom over there we could.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
We could have people on on if we did that and talk to
them yeah, we could.
It would be a hot mess we couldinterview some kids if their
parents would let them be on itwe'll interview the parents.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
we We'll do a five-minute hot mic.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
Five-minute hot mic what you got, what you want to
talk about.
Come sit down with us, yep.
That sounds good I like it,we'll see.
I like it.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
That would be an editing train wreck, though.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Probably.
Because we would have a lot ofpauses and waiting Right and you
like it when you don't have toedit, when we just go straight
through.
I've gotten to where I just letthis ride on.
This one just rides Just rides.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah, yeah, throw some music on it and.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Let her ride.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
Let her ride.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
We're going to start throwing the Christmas music in
there.
Is it too early?

Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yes, the whole Christmas talk is too early.
I'd say at least two more weeks.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
No, christmas talk is too early.
I'd say at least two more weeks.
No, absolutely not Two moreweeks it'll be dang Thanksgiving
.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
Your Walmarts and your Dollar Generals aren't
helping when they're putting alltheir Christmas stuff out.
But let me tell you this.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
I haven't even been to the store, I haven't even
seen it all.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
We're several days after Halloween now and I still
see these skeletons on the Jeeps, you know, hanging on to the
front, hanging on to the back.
I don't know what to do.
So now, the Jeep people.
I don't know if that's justwhere we're at, where we're
located with this skeleton thing, but with the Jeeps, you know,
they got the ducks right.
Yeah, that they put on theirdash.

(37:48):
I mean, did they send out anemail to everyone and say, hey,
now we have to put skeletons?

Speaker 1 (37:55):
riding on the front, the one that we don't know don't
have a Jeep.
Well, that's fine, but I'm justsaying.
A different car.
Is that the thing?
The skeleton on?

Speaker 2 (38:02):
the car.
They're riding on the back, onthe tire, they're on the front
grill, they're hanging onto theside, just on Jeeps mainly.
Yeah, okay, I like it.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
But anyway, what I was going to say is so how long
are y'all people going to keepthat on there?
Now I'm giving y'all two orthree days.
These will be gone by Monday.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
And you're saying it needs to come down.
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Which is worse leaving your Halloween up longer
or your Christmas up longer?
I'm saying Halloween.
Halloween should notdribble-drabble days and days
and weeks after Halloween.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
So when you take your Halloween down.
It's time to put Christmas up.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Not necessarily.
You fall back into fall.

Speaker 1 (38:42):
Well, that's the only decorations I got.
Is fall, I don't have.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Halloween, then your Halloween decorations, which is
fall, carries over from Octoberinto November.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
Mm-hmm.
So yeah, november 5th, thenChristmas comes out, you've lost
your mind.

Speaker 2 (38:57):
You're just making up stuff now.
It's never happened before.
Why is it going to happen thisyear?

Speaker 1 (39:01):
I just want the tree up.
Why, I don't know.
I just want it up, I just wantthat couch out of there and I
just want it up.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
The couch needs to come out before I do that.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Yes, the couch has got to come out, so get it out.
Don't play that game thatyou're not getting the couch, me
and Nicholas will do it.

and actresses in a?
