Why isn't artificial intelligence perfect? It should be, shouldn't it? If the systems are only as good as their makers, why do we expect perfection from them? Is perfection even attainable?
AI learns from flawed human input and data quality significantly impacts its performance, illustrated by the example of IBM's Watson needing to unlearn the Urban Dictionary. Microsoft’s 'Tay'(Thinking About You) Twitter bot in 2016 rapidly turned racist and sexist after interacting with malicious users, demonstrating that AI learning is deeply influenced by social interactions and human misuse.
The emphasis here is that AI should be evaluated not by an impossible standard of perfection but by contextual performance standards.
