This follow-up episode looks at the specific cookies utilized by Google and Microsoft primarily focusing on digital advertising and user analytics. These cookies that are owned by various partners and most, if not all of these partners, are interconnected and share all of this data between each other. So although they state they don't 'sell or buy' data, they share it all anyway because they're affiliated! Collecting your specific info, online activity and profiling you...all in the name of advertising - for your benefit apparently...
The Google excerpt details cookies associated with its various ad and measurement products, such as AdSense and Google Analytics, categorizing them by Advertising, Analytics, Functionality, and Security, listing their domains and lifespans.
Conversely, Microsoft has a list of third-party cookies identifying the provider (like Facebook, Twitch, and Google), describing the cookie's function (often for personalized ads, social media integration, or site performance analytics) making it clear that these are set by outside partners. You can opt-out of almost all of these permissions if you go into your settings and look through everything. There's A LOT, and some of them are hidden or repeated, but it's worth it for your own protection against surveillance.
