And what if I told you that youcould reset your entire day in
just five minutes?

a quick burst of motivation andproductivity in five minutes or
less.
I'm Cindy, your host, aself-made entrepreneur, busy
mom, and a business coach.
I've built and sold severaldigital businesses ranging from
five to six figure successes.
So when it comes to managingtime and priorities in both life

and work, I get it.
I've been there and I am here tohelp you thrive.
Today, we're talking about thosedays when you feel like you're
drowning in your to-do list,when everything feels urgent,
but nothing feels important.
And when you're spinning yourwheels but getting nowhere, you
know the feeling.
It's like being stuck inquicksand while watching
everyone else move forward.

But here's what's reallyhappening.
When you're feeling overwhelmedand off track, your brain has
too many mental tabs open andyou're trying to hold everything
in your head at once.
Your nervous system is in fightor flight mode, and this is
exactly what I see all the timewith the women that I work with.
Successful entrepreneurs who aredrowning in their own success.

Most people mistake thisthinking that they need the
power to work through it or workharder.
But the truth is, when you areoverwhelmed, working harder is
just like trying to drink from afire hose.
You need to step back and notstep up.
The overwhelm happens because asentrepreneurs, we are wired to
see opportunities everywhere.

(01:41):
But without systems to managethat input.
Our brains are like computerswith too many programs running,
everything slows down andeventually crashes your
prefrontal cortex, the part ofyour brain responsible for
decision making literally getshijacked when you're
overwhelmed, and that's whyeverything feels urgent and you

can't think straight.
It's not a character flaw, it'sbiology.
Here's my proven method that Iteach many of my clients.
It's just three simple stepsthat you can do anywhere.
The first one.
Stop and breathe.
I know it sounds simple.
Set a timer for two minutes.
Close your eyes.
Take five deep breaths, focusingonly on the exhale.

This isn't woowoo.
You're literally just resettingyour nervous system.
I want you to picture hittingthe reset button on your and
internal computer.
Step two, brain dump everything.
Grab a piece of paper or openyour phone for two minutes.
Write down every single thingswirling in your head.
Don't organize, don'tprioritize.

Just dump it all out.
Think of this as clearing outall those mental tabs that are
slowing down your brain'soperating system.
Step three, choose your onething, look at the list and
circle just one thing that youcan complete in the next 30
minutes.
Not the most important thing,not the most urgent thing, the

one thing that will give youmomentum.
This is about building successon success.
Here's how to make this work inyour real life.
First.
Recognize that your overwhelmhas signals that it gives you
early on.
For me, it's when I startchecking my phone compulsively
or moving fast, butaccomplishing nothing.
Then give yourself permission tostop.

I know this feelscounterintuitive when everything
feels super urgent, but fiveminutes of reset will save you
hours of spinning your wheels.
Finally, you need to completeyour one thing and then
celebrate it.
Your brain needs to re recognizethat the reset worked.
This builds on the naturalpathway and it makes this method
automatic.

Let me give you a real lifeexample.
Last week I was working with aclient who was paralyzed by her
to-do list.
She had 23 items.
We counted them on her to-dolist, and it felt like she was
failing at everything.
We did this five minute resettogether and her brain dump
revealed that her most urgenttasks were actually just busy

work.
Her one thing.
It was sending an email to herlist.
This simple action reminded herwhat was important.
She brain dumped all the thingsin her head.
She looked at her to-do list,and she was able to identify a
needle mover activity.
Completing this gave her themomentum to tackle everything
else systematically.

Listen, overwhelm is not a badgeof honor.
It's a signal that you need toreset.
The most successfulentrepreneurs I know aren't the
ones who never get overwhelmed.
They're just the ones who knowhow to get back on track
quickly, remember, you alreadyhave everything you need to
succeed.
Sometimes you just need to clearthe static so you can hear your

own wisdom.
Again, this five minute resetisn't just about productivity,
it's about reconnecting withyour power as an entrepreneur.
This is exactly why I teach thiscore technique in my five minute
reset method because when youknow how to quickly shift from
overwhelm to clarity, you becomeunstoppable.
