(00:00):
Have you ever wondered thatmaybe the missing piece of your
productivity system isn'tanother app or a planner, but a
simple corner of your workspacethat could transform your entire
entrepreneurial energy?
Welcome back to Thrive in Five, where I give you a quick burst
of motivation and productivityin five minutes or less.
Spend just five minutes with meand you'll be ready to tackle
(00:22):
your day like a pro.
Whether you're focused on lifeor business.
I'm Cindy, your host, aself-made entrepreneur.
Busy mom and business coach,I've built and sold multiple
digital businesses ranging fromfive to six figure successes.
So when it comes to managingtime and priorities in both life
and work, I get it.
(00:42):
I've been there and I am here tohelp you thrive.
today.
We're talking about something noone else is teaching
entrepreneurs how to create amotivation corner that actually
works, not the Pinterest perfectstudy corner you see everywhere
else, but a real functionalspace designed specifically for
busy business owners who need aninstant energy boost without
(01:04):
leaving their home office.
What I see constantly with thewomen that I work with, when
you're working from home, oftenin multipurpose areas, your
environment is working againstyou.
Instead of for you.
You sit down to work and feelimmediately drained because
everything around you screamshousehold chaos and instead of
business success, your workspaceis functional but not
(01:25):
inspirational.
You've got your computer andmaybe a nice organizational
tool, but nothing actually fitsyour energy.
When you feel stuck oroverwhelmed, you're relying
purely on willpower to staymotivated, which is like trying
to run a marathon on an emptytank.
Your problem isn't that you lackmotivation.
It is that your physicalenvironment isn't supporting
(01:47):
your energy.
So the science behind why yourenvironment matters so much is
that your brain likes to makesplit decisions about your
energy and focus based uponvisual cues.
When you're surrounded byinspiring elements, your brain
literally releases differentneurotransmitters than when
you're staring at blank walls orclutter.
(02:08):
Environmental psychology showsus that our physical spaces
directly impact our mentalstates.
So this is why some offices makeyou feel super energized while
others drain you instantly.
As entrepreneurs working fromhome, we have complete control
over this, but most of us neverthink about how to use it
(02:28):
Strategically.
Your motivation corner couldbecome an anchor point, a
physical reminder of your goals,a reminder of your why, and a
reminder of your capability whenyour confidence waivers, here's
the method that I recentlyimplemented with a female
entrepreneur that I'm workingwith the first thing we did is
(02:49):
we chose her favorite powerspot.
So this could be a corner, awall, or even a small section of
your workspace that you can seefrom your primary work position.
This doesn't need to be a hugespace.
Even a two by two foot spaceworks perfectly.
The key is visual access.
Not square footage.
The next thing we did is welooked at the three energy
(03:12):
elements.
Every effective motivationcorner needs three specific
elements, visual achievement, future vision, and daily
affirmation.
Visual achievement is theevidence of your past wins.
So these are awards, testimonials, photos from
business milestones, your futurevision is your goals made
tangible.
These are vision board images, revenue targets, or your dream
(03:35):
client photo.
The daily affirmation is amindset reminder that you need
the most.
So it could be something like, Iam capable of hard things, or my
business serves others.
The last thing we did is welooked at the energy refresh
ritual, here's what actuallymakes this work.
Create a 32nd ritual where youintentionally look at your
(03:58):
motivation corner, take threebreaths, and remind yourself why
you're building this business.
Do this every time you sit downto work, and whenever you feel
your energy flagging let mebreak this down a little bit
more and give you some practicalsteps to make this work in your
real space.
First start small and simple.
(04:18):
You don't have to have theperfect setup.
Just use what you have.
Print photos from your phone.
Write goals on sticky notes, andframe that five star review.
You need to make it personal toyour specific motivation style.
If you're motivated by progress, include charts and numbers.
If you're inspired by impact, show client testimonials.
If you need to feel calm, confidence, choose colors and
(04:39):
images that feel peaceful yetpowerful, and you need to update
it regularly.
Your motivation corner shouldevolve as you do when you hit
the goal.
Add the evidence.
When you set new targets, updateyour vision.
This keeps it fresh and relevantwherever you are in your
business journey.
Let me share with you how one ofmy clients turned her energy
(05:01):
using this exact method.
Jessica was working from herkitchen table and felt
completely unmotivated everysingle day.
So we created a motivationcorner on the wall next to her
workspace, just using a supersmall bulletin board.
She included a photo from herfirst paid speaking gig, her
revenue goal, which was writtenin beautiful lettering, and the
(05:23):
quote that says she believed shecould, so she did.
Within one week, she told methat just glancing at her
motivation corner was giving herthe energy boost she needed
throughout the day.
This breakthrough came when shewas having a particularly tough
client call instead of spiralinginto overwhelm.
She looked over at hermotivation corner, remembered
(05:44):
her capability, and handled thesituation with confidence.
That's the power of a strategicenvironment design.
So your environment is eithersupporting your success or
sabotaging it.
There's no neutral.
Creating a motivation cornerisn't about perfect decor or
Instagram worthy spaces.
It's about strategicallydesigning your surroundings to
(06:07):
remind you of your power, especially when you forget it.
You're not just organizing acorner or a wall.
You are creating a visual anchorfor your business identity.
Every time you glance at thatspace, you're reinforcing that
you're someone who builds abusiness, serves people, and
creates impact.
This is one of the foundationalstrategies that I teach many of
(06:30):
my coaching students, becausewhen your environment supports
your energy, everything elsebecomes easier.
And remember, you've got thisnow go claim that corner and let
it fuel your next level ofsuccess.
