picture this.
It's Wednesday afternoon andyour energy is tanking and
you've got three importantbusiness tasks staring at you
instead of scrolling on yourphone hoping that motivation
will magically appear, you doone tiny thing.
Maybe it's lighting yourfavorite candle or reading your
business mission statement outloud, or just writing down one

(00:20):
win from yesterday and suddenlyyou're moving.
That's the power of micromotivators, and today I am
sharing how these tiny habitscan create unstoppable momentum
in your business.

Speaker (00:32):
Welcome back to Thrive in Five, where I give you a
quick burst of motivation andproductivity in five minutes or
less.
I'm Cindy, your host, aself-made entrepreneur, busy
mom, and a business coach.
I've built and sold severaldigital businesses ranging from
five to six figure successes.
So when it comes to managingtime and priorities in both life

(00:54):
and work, I get it.
I've been there and I am here tohelp you thrive.
Let's be real about something.
As entrepreneurs, we areconstantly waiting for the
motivation to show up.
Like some kind of productivityfairy.
You tell yourself you'll work onthat important task when you
feel inspired, or you'll reachout to potential clients when

(01:14):
you're feeling a little moreconfident.
Meanwhile, days turn into weeksand those needle moving
activities keep getting pushedaside.
I see this all the time.
You know what you should bedoing, following up with leads,
creating content buildingsystems, but you are stuck in
this weird limbo where nothingfeels urgent enough to start

(01:36):
yet.
Everything feels overwhelming.
You end up doing busy work thatmakes you feel more productive,
but it doesn't actually moveyour business forward.
Here's what I wish that someonewould've told me years ago.
Motivation isn't a feeling youwait for, it's a response that
you can trigger, and the easiestway to trigger it is tiny habits

(01:59):
that your brain can't resist.
So here's the fascinating thingabout how our brains work.
They are designed to resist bigchanges, but embrace tiny ones.
So when you think about writingan entire blog post, your brain
sees a threat and createsresistance.
But when you think about openingyour laptop and typing one
sentence, well, your brainthinks that feels manageable,

(02:23):
micro motivators work becausethey bypass your brain's
resistance system.
Instead of relying on willpower, which let's be honest, is pretty
unreliable when you're running abusiness and managing life.
You create automatic triggersthat generate momentum before
your brain knows what'shappening.
I learned this the hard way whenI was building one of my first

(02:45):
businesses.
I had grand plans to work forhours, but then I'd get
overwhelmed and do nothing.
The breakthrough came when Istarted with ridiculously small
actions like opening my businessplanning notebook to the right
page while I had my morningcoffee.
That tiny action led to readingmy goals, which led to writing

(03:06):
down one priority, which led toactually working on it, here's
how I help my clients buildmicro motivators that actually
work using my reality checkmethod.
Because you've got this, youjust need to see what this.
Actually is step one, identifyyour motivation killers.

(03:27):
First, we need a reality checkabout what is actually stopping
you do a quick brain dump of themoments when your motivation
dies.
Is it after lunch?
When your energy crashes?
Is it when you sit down at yourdesk and see a messy workspace?
Is it when you think about allthe things you should be doing,
write these down because youcan't fix what you won't

(03:50):
acknowledge.
Step two, choose your needlemoving micro motivator.
Now pick one tiny action thatconsistently moves you towards
your business goal.
Not five things, not a wholemorning routine, but just one
micro motivator.
Maybe it's reading your missionstatement while you drink
coffee, or writing down threebusiness priorities on a sticky

(04:13):
note, or putting out a specificplaylist that gets you into the
work mode.
The key is it has to take lessthan two minutes and feel
automatic.
Step three, anchor it tosomething you already do.
So a lot of times this magic iscalled habit stacking.
So you're going to attach yourmicro motivator to an existing

(04:36):
habit, for example.
After I pour my morning coffee,I will read my business vision
out loud.
Or before I check my email, Iwill write down my top priority
for the day.
Your existing habits become thetrigger for your new motivation
boost.
Let me share with you how I makethis stick in my real life and

(04:58):
how you can make it stick inyours.
The key is to first startridiculously small.
I mean, embarrassingly small.
If you want to be moreconsistent with your content
creation, for example, don'tcommit to writing a whole post.
Commit to opening your notes appand writing one sentence about
what you're grateful for in yourbusiness.

(05:20):
Success breeds success and yourbrain needs quick wins.
Second, track your micromotivator for just one week.
Put a simple check mark on yourcalendar when you do it.
This isn't about perfection, this is about awareness, your
training, your brain to noticewhen you follow through on
commitments to yourself.

(05:41):
And finally, celebrate thosetiny wins.
When you complete your micromotivator, acknowledge it.
Say to yourself, I did that.
I did it.
Give yourself a mental highfive.
This might sound silly, but youare literally rewiring your
brain to associate these smallactions with positive feelings,
here's what I want you toremember.

(06:02):
You don't need massivemotivation to build a successful
business.
You need tiny, consistentactions that compound over time.
When you build micro motivators, you are not just creating
habits, you are proving toyourself that you are someone
that follows through yourbusiness.
Doesn't need to feel motivatingevery single day.

(06:22):
It needs you to show up evenwhen you don't feel like it.
And micro motivators can makethat showing up almost
effortless.
But here's the truth, you've gotthis.
You just need to know exactlywhat this is, and sometimes this
is just lighting a candle orthis could be writing down one

(06:42):
priority.
So friend, go pick your micromotivator and start your tiny
habits revolution.
You've got this.
