Welcome back.
My name is Mikita and I justwant to thank you so much for
sharing your time, your spaceand energy with me today.
Now it's a brand new season andI'm excited to be here with you
again to share the next chapterin our amazing journey together
.
So it's definitely time forsome tea.

(01:50):
I do have a quick question.
I just want to know have youever had a moment in your life
where you knew deep downsomething was shifting in your
life, almost like the oldversion of you just isn't
fitting anymore and you'restepping into something new,

(02:15):
even if you're not quite surewhat that new is yet?
You just know that you're inthis transition.
It's a shift, you know it'shappening, but you just don't
have any clue or idea of what'sgoing to happen.

(02:35):
It's like the anticipation ofchange or something to come.
Well, that's exactly where I amright now In this new season.
I feel like we're planting seeds, planting seeds of intentional
living.
I feel like I'm planting theseamazing seeds, both

(03:00):
intentionally, boldly andunapologetically both
intentionally boldly andunapologetically.
And, trust me, these seeds.
These seeds that we're plantingright now, they are going to
grow into something.
So amazing and I think that'sthe most beautiful part of this
journey is that with each stepthat unfolds and I get a glimpse

(03:24):
into what my life could be like.
It's never what I imagined,it's always taking me in this
different path and it's alwaysmore than I expected.
I feel like it is somethingthat feeds me.
It's something that makes merealize a potential that I never

(03:46):
knew.
Sometimes, I think when we walkin our own journey, we have this
straight idea of what it'ssupposed to look like, what it's
supposed to feel like, and whenwe start to let life happen the
way it should, we realize thatthe blessings that are given to

(04:07):
us are more than we could everimagine.
So every year, I choose a wordthat sets the tone for my growth
, my mindset and my journey.
Last year it was letting go,and each person that I connected
with and introduced you guys totalked about an experience, a

(04:32):
part of releasing, and I feltlike that was that season to do
that releasing what no longerserved me, saying goodbye to
perfectionism and trusting thatendings aren't failures, they're
transitions.
So this year, my word isplanting seeds and here's the

(04:58):
thing about seeds you don'talways see the growth right away
.
Sometimes they sit under thesoil, completely hidden where
all the magic is happeningunderneath.
And that's life, right.
We do the work, we show up, wekeep moving forward and even
when it feels like nothing ishappening, something is.
If you're into gardening, likeme, then you actually know what

(05:21):
this is like.
I remember the first year Idecided to plant a garden.
I was so hesitant because I waslike I've never grew anything.
I never thought of myself asbeing able to bring anything to
life, to start something new, tosee that thing happened.
I've had some flowers in thepast and they did not quite make
it.
So this idea of growing agarden was just.

(05:45):
It seemed kind of impossible, but I was like you know what?
I'm just going to try it.
And I got some seeds and Istarted to plant.
And seeing that little lifecome up from that dirt was just
this amazing feeling ofaccomplishment and connection,

(06:08):
because it was a connection thatwas bigger than me.
It was a connection bigger thananything.
This was life unfolding, andthat's the same thing that I'm
talking about now unfolding, andthat's the same thing that I'm
talking about now, seeing yourlife unfold by the seeds that
you plant for today that you canharvest in the future.
So I am embracing all of this, even if it feels a little

(06:32):
uncertain and I don't know whatwill happen next or what that
next step will necessarily be.
I just know that we're allshifting.
I was talking to my brother acouple of weeks ago and he says
you know, there is no way thatyou should be the same person
you were six months ago.
There's no way that your ideasand your viewpoint should be the

(06:56):
same as they were five yearsago.
And you know, I was just likewhat you know, I understood, but
I was like where is he goingwith this conversation?
And he was like that's growth.
You know, you're supposed tocontinue to grow and as you grow
and as you learn your ideas andthe things that you know, you
thought you knew you should havelearned more.

(07:18):
So your perspectives willchange.
Your view on life will changewith the people you meet, the
encounters and the lifeexperiences you have.
So he was like no, you shouldnot have the same mindset that
you had five, 10 years ago andyou should not be the same
person that you were six monthsago, because if so, then you are

(07:41):
not growing, and I was justlike, oh, that was deep, bro,
that was deep.
But that's how me and mybrother are.
We are the youngest of thebunch and I feel like we have
the most, the deepestconversations.
We have our weeklyconversations.
That I just love becausethey're just rooted in realness

(08:05):
and honesty and just beingourselves.
But speaking of planting seeds,I know at the end of the last
season I was telling you guysabout I was moving and it was
going to be like it's going tobe a lot happening because we're
moving into a new home.
And I just want to say movinginto a new house has been a

(08:27):
journey the packing, theunpacking, organizing and, let's
be real, wondering why I keptso much stuff.
But more than that, it's beenabout redefining home, not just
the physical space but thefeeling of being rooted, of
creating a space where I feelsafe, inspired and grounded, not

(08:49):
just for me but for all of myfamily.
And maybe you're in a season oftransition too, maybe you're
moving physically, emotionallyor even mentally into something
new.
It's uncomfortable, it's messy, and yet every step is planting

(09:11):
a seed for what's next, andTrust in the Process reminds me
of one of my favorite books, theAlchemist.
If you've read it, you know it'sabout a boy named Santiago who
goes on this wild journeysearching for treasure, only to
realize that everything he waslooking for was within him.

(09:32):
All along, that book is a wholelesson in faith and trusting
the detours and in knowing thateven when things don't make
sense in the moment, they'releading us somewhere.
We don't always see the fullpicture, but every step, every
decision, every change, you aresetting yourself up for the life

(09:56):
that you're creating.
And speaking of an unexpectedjourney, let me tell y'all about
Turner.
So, as you know, turner's mynew cat.
Well, technically he's not mycat, he's my daughter's cat, but
he's become the family cat,like he's everybody's cat.
And if you've been followingalong, you know I wasn't exactly

(10:16):
planning on becoming a catperson ever.
But here we are.
And let me tell you, turner hasbeen teaching me lessons about
patience, presence and findingjoy in the little things,
whether it's him zooming throughthe house like he's training
for a 5K or curling up next tome when I least expect it.

(10:37):
He's reminding me that the bestmoments aren't always planned,
they sometimes just happen.
So now I want to hear from you.
How are you planting seeds inyour life?
Maybe it's in your career, yourhealth, your relationships or

(10:59):
just the way you're showing upfor yourself this year, I want
you to take a moment and thinkabout what small step you can
take today that your future selfwill thank you for, and share
your thoughts with me onInstagram, tag me or shoot me a
DM.
Let's have this conversationtogether.
Let's inspire each other.
Let's be there for one another.

(11:22):
Now, before I go, I want toleave you with this.
Growth isn't always loud, it'snot always obvious.
Sometimes it's quiet, sometimesit looks like rest, sometimes
it looks like making onedecision that no one else sees
but that changes everything foryou.

(11:43):
So keep planting those seeds, keep showing up for yourself,
keep trusting that, even whenyou don't see the progress,
something is happening beneaththe surface, and one day you'll
look up and you'll realizeyou've bloomed, you've become
the you that you always knew, that you could be All right.

(12:07):
You guys, thank you so much forbeing here, for listening, for
being part of this community.
I'll see you next time.
Until then, my friends, namaste.
