Session 19, Arrival in Baldur's Gate

Thom and Dug are successfully pulled back into the ship by Cutter with the help of Uggh, along with the opaque white bottle Thom was trying to grab. After some arguing about it, the bottle was smashed and Thom read it out aloud... Flee at once. All is lost... written in blood.

The gang arrived in Baldur's Gate to discover it had changed dramatically... the majority had collapsed and sunk into a gigantic refuse pile, while the remnants of the city remained on the northern outskirts. Atop Dusthawk Hill now sits a large monastery, where the figure known as Ureks rules of Baldur's Gate from.

As they disembark the ship they soon learn that Ureks requires an act of chaos per person each day... or else be inflicted with some form of madness.

Thom and Cutter took the longboat from the ship and hid it at the base of Dusthawk Hill, with the intention of coming back for it later.

Upon entering the city the gang spies the local notice board, pinned to which were wanted posters of two figures... Ag'nail recognised their old mentor, an Avowed from Candlekeep and Wynona recognised none other than their now 16 year old daughter Sybil... both had been in cohorts and last seen in Dusthawk Hill and Urek's monastery.

Heading towards a tavern, a citizen attempting to fulfil their chaotic action for the day swung a fish at Wynona, missing entirely but copping swift retaliation from Wynona who met the stranger with both ends of her spear... instantly killing them. The guards however seemed more entertained by this than anything else.

The group then made their way to the tavern, where Cutter tempted the citizens with overthrowing their ruler, at which time he was inflicted with madness... not wanting to leave a small section of the bar. This just seemed to fuel Cutter's fire as after getting rid of the madness, he seemed intent on killing this Ureks...
