Session 21, Into Dusthawk Hill

The group began their search for the Avowed and Wynona's daughter Sybil, entering the tunnels beneath Dusthawk Hill.

Trudging through two feet of sea water, the group realised they were slowing making their way upwards the further they delved into the hill. Wynona appointed herself the group's cartographer and began mapping out the complex tunnel system as they moved.

Not too deep into the cave system, Uggh heard the familiar sound of a squawking parrot from an adjacent tunnel. After springing a trap and causing quite a ruckus, it was discovered that the parrot was skeletal and had apparently been abandoned. Investigation of the joining caves revealed a number of empty crates and barrels, and a quite ornate, fish-themed trident.

The group eventually came upon an old campfire and bedroll that had a number of scrawlings on parchment tucked into it... mentioning both Sybil, deciphering the prophecy and studying these 'new gods'... and that they may be the key?

Ascending a set of rough steps the group them came into another complex tunnel system, but found themselves in a large cavern, lit up with the help of some glowing rocks from Ag'nail. Cutter moved silently across the wall of the cavern towards an abandoned backpack only to be set upon by a camouflaged Roper.

Wynona was snatched by the creature and severely chomped, but the party quickly came to her aid... slaying the creature and determining that two people had come this direction... one had clearly lost their backpack to the Roper.

The backpack featured the symbol of Candlekeep and clearly had belonged to the Avowed. Inside was found a spell scroll and a small piece of the same necrotic stone that Cutter had found...
