It is when we see the decay, destruction, and corruption around us that we realize the value and necessity of the Bible. In contrast to the world, the Bible is inexhaustible, inextinguishable, and life giving.
In part 1 of God’s Provision for Spiritual Growth, Dr. Gonzalez reminds us of the absolute and critical importance of the Bible, pointing out that God’s Word:
- Is alive.
- Gives life.
- Sustains spiritual life.
- Transforms lives.
There are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity. The Bible is central to our spiritual growth, in fact no spiritual growth takes place without the Word of God.
