Now let's jump into what's coming up in May.
May is chock full of celebrations such as Cinco de Mayo and Mother's Day.
And here in the Northern Hemisphere, summer and summer travel kick off.
(02:56):
And you know I love a good theme so I'll be leaning into those topics.
Now because the first episode doesn't drop until May 8th, I want to be sure you have
some Cinco de Mayo songs to play on May 5th.
I have three previous episodes featuring Cinco de Mayo songs for guitar, including Cele
(03:17):
Tolindo, also known as Ayayayayayayay.
La Bomba, Viva Mexico, La Piel, and Tequila.
They are super fun to play and I put the episode links in the show notes.
In the first May episode on the 8th, I'll focus on songs for you to play for your mother,
(03:37):
grandmother, or any ladies in your life who have been an important influence on you.
They'll just love that you're playing them a song.
Then in the next episode I'll be sharing details about my two newest, yo-guitar videos where
I zone in on the wrist, hands, and fingers and a new Sunsayutation practice.
(04:01):
In the third episode I'll talk about how to set up a jam session for you and your guitar
playing buddies.
And in the last episode I'll discuss how to safely travel with your guitar because you don't
want to leave home without it.
You can tune into these episodes wherever you listen to your podcasts on YouTube or you
(04:22):
can find them all on my website marlenesmusic.com.
So stay tuned, ha ha, new episodes drop on Thursdays.
In the guitar news, I recently came across an article that I thought you might like to
read.
The 17 Best Acoustic Guitar Brands in 2025.
(04:43):
In this guitar lobby.com article you'll see a list of the who's who of acoustic guitar
manufacturing along with descriptions of their models and the features.
So I'd probably move a couple around in the rankings.
I'm in agreement on the quality of these brands of guitars.
The link for this article is in the show notes.
(05:06):
Rapping things up just a couple of reminders, don't forget to join our guitar tips community.
Our next jam session and open mic is on May 21st.
Join now to be a part of the music making fun.
The link is in the show description.
To be sure to check out the Yohg guitar video library, it's a useful resource to help you
(05:30):
alleviate tension and improve flexibility.
And there's no Yohg experience needed.
You can try it for free at the Yohg guitar link in the show description.
Lastly a big thank you to our sponsor Gator Cases.
They make it possible for me to continue bringing you great content.
(05:51):
So when you're in the market for a new case or any of the more than 1500 products Gator
