(01:18):
Today's tip is, "New Yo Guitar Videos To Boost Your Guitar Practice."
I've been busy in the Yo Guitar Studio filming new videos to give you more options and keep
your practice fresh.
To help you make the most of your Yo Guitar Journey and ultimately keep improving your guitar

(01:43):
plane.
In this episode, I'll be talking about two new videos.
One focused on helping your hands and fingers and even your wrists and feet get a little
more love.
And another SunSciutation video that includes a slightly more challenging pose to help you
take things up a notch.

(02:03):
By the way, just a quick heads up, I've written an article that will be featured in Acoustic
Guitar Magazine.
It's all about how yoga supports us guitarists, something as you can probably imagine.
I'm really passionate about.
The article will be out later this summer and I'll be sure to let you know when it's

(02:25):
released.
As always, a big shout out this week and thank you to our fellow guitarists joining us
from The Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Liberia.
Before we jump into this episode, can I ask you for a quick favor?

(02:45):
Would you please tap the subscribe button because that's the easiest way you can show support
for this podcast and for me.
And don't fret because it's absolutely free to tap the subscribe button.
It helps me to continue bringing content to you every single week on your favorite podcast

(03:06):
channels like Spotify, Apple and SiriusXM and on YouTube.
Thank you for supporting me and the show by tapping the subscribe button right now.
The first video I'd like to talk about is the new Hands and Fingers video.
In the new video which I just released this week, you'll find Asanas that are designed

(03:32):
to individualize and limber up your fingers and stretch your palms.
The Asanas in this video also happen to help your wrists and believe it or not your feet.
And all of these are great to help prepare you to play your chords, notes and rhythm patterns.

(03:54):
As we always do, you'll start by settling in for your practice, then move into hand and
finger poses that will include an Asana where your fingers interlaced between your toes,
so your hands can move in conjunction with and resistance to your feet.
Now I know it might sound a little bit odd but let me tell you it works.

(04:19):
The bonus of this practice is that you'll also notice improved movement in your wrists
and even your feet and ankles.
The other one is the third Sun Sightation video.
The sequence for this Sun Sightation is similar to the other two Sun Sightation videos.

(04:42):
Except included in this practice is an Asana called Low Lunge or Anjaneasana.
For this pose you'll step forward with one leg as you lower the knee of your other leg
to the mat.
This one helps you to open up your hips as well as your chest and shoulders.

(05:02):
All extremely helpful for relieving overall tension and stress, which of course makes it
easier to play guitar.
And just a quick note, Low Lunge can be a little more challenging especially if you're
newer to yoga.
So if you get a little off balance or feel a little wonky, just simply reset the pose and

(05:27):
continue.
It's important to keep trying it. It does get easier the more you do it, just like our
guitar playing.
Subscribers, you can find these new videos in the YogaTar Video Library just look in the
hands and fingers category and the Sun Sightation category.
Or just go to the newest videos category where you'll find both.

(05:52):
And if you're not yet at YogaTar Video Library, subscribe or don't fret, pun intended, you
can join today and enjoy our 7-Day Free Trial.
Give it a try, the link is in the show notes.
Alrighty, get your comfy clothes on and enjoy the experiences of these two new videos.

(06:15):
Then grab your guitar and play so you can enjoy the fruits of your YogaTar practice.
Namaste.
I hope this episode's TIFF has helped you to continue expanding your guitar playing skills
and knowledge.
If you'd like to learn more, please check out the many learning resources available at marleneesmusic.com.

(06:42):
Thank you for joining today's podcast and as I like to say, play on.
