It's a practice that's great for calming the mind and body.
Watching many of your muscles and tendons while also realigning your nervous system.
It's a great way to get ready to play Guitar.

(03:44):
Thank you.
So let's dive into the newly released Yo Guitar Video, Sun salutations.
Sun salutations are typically a series of 12 Asanas or poses in a particular order.
It's a practice where you'll move just about every part of your body.
(04:05):
The Asanas are basic movements that I guide you through step by step.
They do flow one into the next, so your heart will pump a little more rapidly and your body
will likely feel more awake and alive.
So what's happening in our bodies where this will help?
The way this helps is that our tendons and muscles work in harmony to continually manage
(04:31):
body functions and movements.
But sometimes those tendons and muscles and other cells and nerves get out of tune just
like our guitars.
When a guitar is out of tune, what do we do?
We tune it.
Sun salutations are a great tool to retune and rebalance your body.
(04:52):
As I mentioned, there are 12 poses and in this video the first few will be standing poses.
Then in the next few poses you'll be on the floor and then in the last few poses you'll
be standing up again, all incorporating mindful breathing.
The entire sequence is repeated.
(05:13):
In fact in this video we repeat the sequence two more times, which is kind of cool because
each time your body will feel more familiar and more comfortable with the movements and
sequence.
By the way, there are various Asanas that can be included in a Sun salutations sequence.
(05:34):
So my game plan is to film more Sun salutations videos to offer you different experiences.
You can find this Sun salutation video in the Yo Guitar Video Library.
Just look for it in the Sun salutations category or in the newest videos.
And if you're not yet a Yo Guitar Video Library subscriber, don't fret, you can give it a
