The song I think you might want to play for your mom is "Motherlike Mine" by the Country
Group, The Band Perry.
It was written by the band members and siblings Kimberly Reed and Neil Perry for their 2013
album Pioneer.

(03:12):
Though it was not released as a single, it's one of the staple songs performed by this group
when touring.
This heartfelt ballad was inspired by the group's mother Marie.
Kimberly Perry talked to Billboard magazine about the evolution of this song saying, quote,
"We were relaxing and going through some ideas."

(03:34):
Neil had this one line written on his phone.
If the world had a mother like mine, end quote.
She also said, quote, "That was the most honest song we wrote for Pioneer."
End quote.
They wrote this song to honor their mother.
To play this song, you'll use the chords E minor C, G, D and A minor 7.

(04:00):
And if you'd like to add a little more flavor to the tune, you can also use the chords G/B,
D/F#, and A minor 7th flat 5th.
I like to play this song with a sweet picking pattern, but a tender strum can work well too.

(04:20):
And if you'd like some other Mother's Day song inspirations, check out a couple of my
past Mother's Day themed episodes where I cover how to play songs like Taylor Swift's
The Best Day, Mother by Sugarland, and thank you, Mom, by Good Charlotte.

I hope you share the gift of your music with your mom.
Happy Mother's Day to all mothers everywhere.
I hope this episode's tip has helped you to continue expanding your guitar playing skills
