The NAMM show is Music Industries Super Bowl.
Thousands of music companies showcase their newest products and innovations and thousands
(02:51):
of music retailers along with industry folks attend the show.
It's thrilling to see what's new and it's like a reunion reconnecting with music friends.
As you can imagine, there was much to explore, experience, and learn about.
So today I decided to highlight a few of the standouts to share with you.
(03:16):
At the Martin Guitar booth, I was wowed by a few of their new guitars, including a Double
Neck acoustic, their three millionth guitar, and a special artisan guitar created by resident
artist and my friend, Robert Goetzel.
(03:36):
Our new Double Neck guitar is part of the standard series lineup featuring a 12 string and 6 string
neck on a grand jumbo body.
It's great for channeling your inner Jimmy Page.
I put a link in the show notes so you can see this guitar.
As for their three millionth guitar, the beautiful wood grain has a sentimental design quality,
(04:02):
along with a good deal of Martin Guitar's history and are twined.
In the show notes, you can also find a link for a video with Chris Martin describing this
unique instrument.
And their playable art guitar has the wow factor too.
Each year, artist, Robert Goetzel, creates one of a kind designs for a guitar body.
(04:27):
The process takes months and the results are show stopping.
This year's stunning guitar is a bright, beautiful hummingbird, hibiscus, work of art.
To see this playable art, go to the link in the show notes.

And let's make some music, magic happen.
(05:15):
Another wow goes out to the Ernie Ball Strings Company.
They have an exciting new acoustic guitar string that's been developed in collaboration
with seven time Grammy award-winning artist, John Mayer.
The soon to be released, Earthwood Bell Bronze Strings were inspired by the alloys used
(05:37):
traditionally for bells and symbols.
John Mayer is quoted as saying the strings are a giant leap forward in tone, playability,
and durability.
He goes on to say they're great in any musical setting, but they really shine when played
solo.
(05:58):
There's an orchestral quality to them.
The link for these strings is in the show notes, but they will not be commercially available
until April 2025.
And a third wow goes out to Positive Grids' new wireless headphones.
(06:18):
If grid is known for its innovative and forward-thinking amps, accessories, and software, their
line of acoustic amps in the compatible app makes it easy to bring out a great sound from
your instrument.
Introduce this year at NAMM is the Spark Neo Wireless Smart Headphones.
(06:42):
These headphones fuse with the Spark Amps technology with wireless connectivity, which gives
you a surround sound kind of experience.
You can check out these cool new headphones at the link I've placed in the show notes.
So as you can tell, I really love seeing all the new guitars and guitar goodies at NAMM,
(07:05):
and I'm beyond thrilled to be able to share the guitar love with you.
