(00:02):
Oh is this your first time?I'm new here. I'm definitely nice to
hear. Oh I'm courting. Let'sbe friends. Okay, I think you'd
be really good friends. I thinkit's gonna work out. I feel it

(00:25):
him, Courtney, How are yougood? Good? How was your weekend?
My weekend was really good. It'snot the weekend anymore. I know.
I don't know why I need topretend like we're recording normal. We're
not. We're recording on a Thursday. That's so not our lives. We're
closer to the next weekend than wewere for this previous weekend. Okay,

(00:47):
how's your weekend looking? Plans setup for this weekend, so I haven't
gotten that far either. It istoo much a notice for you to figure
out the weekends on Thursday. Yeah, yeah, say night at eight o'clock.
This is way past my bed timealready. We're really creeping on it.
Huh, we really are. You'vegot about an hour and fifteen minutes

(01:07):
before I just shut down. Oh, I feel recharged. I'm ready to
go. We had some pizzazz,Yeah, yeah, we did, and
we've talked for about I don't knowtwo hours. We had catching up to
do we did. We haven't seeneach other for a couple We had to
talk about a documentary that I sawthat you were getting ready to watch.
Do we tell a lot of catchingup to do? Absolutely? So you
know it was necessary. We're wayusing to bring us pizza, so what

(01:32):
else we're gonna do? We hadto talk? I got that paid.
What movie did we watch? Wewatched Candy Man from twenty Yeah, twenty
twenty one? Yeah, what didI think? We haven't talked about it?
We did prior to right now.Um, I it was okay,

(01:53):
okay. It was kind of lacklusterfor me. Huh. I had never
seen the original Candy Man, soI really didn't know any what it was
based on. And I didn't readthe synopsis like you know, yeah to
get in the vibe, which Inever do. But it was okay,
Like I felt like it was avery I felt like the plot was very

(02:15):
like like not exciting, okay,Like as we're walking through the movie,
there wasn't like anything that was likejumped out at me as something that I'd
remember, like I'm going to forgetthis movie. Yeah, I thought they
were. There were aspects of itthat were kind of creepy. Yeah,
mostly because I think anything involving likereflection or stuff like that, it's it's

(02:38):
like settling for me. I didlike the aspect that you didn't know when
the candy man was gonna appear, like I want reflection, that's true.
So it made me like overanalyze everything. I'm because window it okay, no,
okay, a door open to gookay no, So it's like when
he did it pain reflection, itwas creepy. Yeah, yeah, um,
I agree with you. I thoughtthat the storyline was fine. Yeah.

(03:00):
I thought the way it was filmedwas cool. Like I thought there
was a lot of cool angles, lot of cool color, like really saturated
colors. Yeah, a lot ofwide angles. Like I thought perspectives were
cool. I thought it was kindof like artsy, the way it was
filmed, very artsy, and there'sset a lot of artsy words that I
knew nothing about. Yes, butyou know, I like the visual artsiness
something of course, So I likedthat. And I did think that the

(03:21):
creepy elements of it for me werelike creepy enough. I agree. They
don't think they were like they werescary, yeah, And I don't think
that they were like over the topcreepy. Yeah, it was like for
a scary movie. For me,it wasn't super difficult to watch. I
didn't have to get out of mycouch. But there were a couple of
times when I went, no,I didn't look at what did you do?

(03:46):
Not for me? Not today, candy? Not today? Keep your
candy with your creepy ass razor bladesand ship man. When you were growing
up, was that like a bigthing, like you don't eat your candy
while your walking around because I raisorblades and stuff, yeah, and needles
and stuff like that. And Imean we still check our kids stuff.

(04:06):
And I think that's probably from ourchildhood. Yeah, totally so, And
not that it ever happened anywhere,Like I think it was like a national
thing, yeah, And I feellike it was probably more like when our
parents were younger, when like growingup in like the sixties and seventies,
and like people were just fucking assholes, you know. Like I just think
that it was far more dangerous. And I think our parents are just PTSD.

(04:30):
I know, check that snickers, like all from my snickers. I
want this. Don't you lie tome. I know you're gonna eat my
Snickers. I need to thoroughly inspectall this fun size candy. It's rappers
everywhere. Actually, those are wordsthat we say every Halloween at our house.
Where do all my candy go andneed to be thoroughly inspected? We
make them passed. They were delicious. They wanted to keep their Halloween buckets

(04:54):
in their rooms. It's not gonnahappen away, so we keep them in
the pantry. That to myself, and I'm grown up, I can't even
do that. Lock it away.Well, also twofold. We have them
keep them in the pantry so thatwhen I pass by, it's easy for
me to dig through. They're reallyquick, get what you want? Who
ate out my candy? That's soweird. It's it's just candy monster and

(05:14):
she's just disappearing. I don't Idon't know what to tell you. It
sounds like you hate it. It'sthe dog that's not safe. That's not
safe she's got that would not workfor her, sensitive girl. Yeah,

it's a little rusty little bit.I'm like that works. You know what.
I haven't started my part of tryingto get through the dialogue. So
well, here's the thing. I'mgonna fuck it if I bready started my

it. That sounds fun, Ithink so, and it's like Free of
Church. Yeah, you're the freeTrial. Let's hop in. Let's do
it. Do you want to hearthe IMDb synopsis for it? Of course,
a sequel to the horror film CandyMan from nineteen ninety two that returns

(10:26):
to the now gentrified Chicago neighborhood wherethe legend began. I'll explain a lot,
but it's before like it's a prequel. Never allgan. No, I
think it's just like a spin onthe old one. Sure, because we
don't know. Well, two guys, we have not listened or watched the

(10:46):
rich One. I mean, no, are you okay? I should have
had pizza as you're tired? Now? Are ye? Okay? So you're
ready? I'm ready? Okay.So we start and we meet Billy.
He is a young boy. He'splaying in his room. He's doing like
this puppet thing. It's kind ofthroughout the entire movie. It's kind of

(11:09):
cool. Yeah, it's like paperpuppets. I guess. Yeah, it's
like a lot of the narration thathappens. These puppets come back and it's
really cool. It is, really. I'm sure there's a name for it.
Yeah, we don't know. Idon't know, but it is like
paper cutouts that he's using as areflection on like a sheet the wall to
kind of like tell a story. It's really cool. It is really cool.
So he's doing his puppets and hismother yells at him. She's like,

(11:31):
you need to go do the laundry, and they don't have laundry in
their building. So he grabs thebasket of clothes, he walks out of
the door. He gets heckled bysome of the other kids that are there,
I think, and then he headsthe laundry map. So find out
we're in nineteen seventy seven in CabriniGreen, Cabrini Green, Yes, Yes,
which is like, um, it'slike part of Chicago. It's like

(11:52):
the projects of Chicago. Yeah, basically. Yeah. So as he goes
into this other building to do thelaundry, he sees like this dark whole
hole that's like in the side ofthis room. When the fuck Like the
bottom of the stairs to the rightis the laundrym with this clear glass door,
and to the left there's a gianthole in the wall. Like it's
like this black cavity in the wall. It's probably about six foot by maybe

(12:13):
four foot. Why I don't Idon't hate that. It looks like something.
It looks like a like one ofthose one of those balls that like
hit the buildings that make the thing. Oh, like a wrecking ball,
wrecking ball, ball that was nottogether was too What is happening? Are
we? Okay? We'll get it. Okay, give us a couple more

(12:35):
minutes, we'll get it. Okay. So he looks at this hole and
then he's like kind of sketched upby it, but he goes the opposite
direction, goes into where the washersand dryers are and he puts the clothes
in whatever. So when he goesto leave, he passes by this dark
hole again as he's leaving, andsomething is thrown out. So he turns
around and he sees a piece ofcandy on the floor, so he picks

(12:58):
it up. And then a manstarts coming out of this dark black hole.
Okay, that humming holding a hammer. Well it's not a hammer,
no, it's a it's a hook. It's a hook. Yeah. So
then we have flashed to outside wherethe cops are sitting in the car.
I guess outside, I don't knowif they're like surrounding this entire place.

(13:18):
I feel like it's I feel likeit's not great. Yeah, but there
are a bunch of copics. We'veseen a couple of them and they have
this like wanted picture and they're ofthis like gentleman and like, we don't
know the face, obviously show itus quickly. But yeah, there's several
cop cars around. Yes, sowe pan outside, we see these cops
that are sitting there, and thenwe hear Billy screaming from inside or what

(13:39):
we think is Billy. Yeah,Okay, then the movie starts. So
now we are like in present day. We meet Grady and Troy and it's
nighttime walking down the street together.Um, and they're going to Troy's sister's
house and boyfriend UM Brianna and Anthonyand and this is the first time that
um that great is going to bemeeting them. So they're kind of talking

(14:01):
back and forth. They're super cutecouple. UM. So the meeting for
the first time, and it's likeit's twenty nineteen now, yes, okay,
So they're chit chatting about real estateand just kind of kind of hanging
out, and Brianna is wanting anart gallery of her own and Cabrini Green.
Um, it's kind of like alighthearted conversation until Grady says something that's
kind of insensitive. I can't reallyremember what it was, but I was

(14:24):
like, oh, that's what we'retalking about. How Like So, um,
it starts off because Troy's a littlebit bitter toward his sister because they
bought this like beautiful apartment. We'rejust like two stories huge, like penthouse
walking apartment, and they bought it. But Troy's apparently a real autor,
and he's mad that his sister didn'tbuy the apartment through him, right,
And she's like, well, likewand it was close to the art studio

(14:45):
gallery that she works at. Andhe tells her that, yeah, you
know, this apartment is nice ifyou want to live somewhere where it's haunted
or whatever. So he's saying thatwhat they're doing is parts of Cabrini Green
have been knocked down. There jetalways that word wrong, getrified. Yeah,
the neighborhood like piece by piece. So the section that they're living in

(15:05):
is part of Cabrini Green that's alreadybeen knocked down. Developers coming in rehabilitated
Sky you know, like these bigpenthouse apartments being built in this area.
So that's why he's telling his sisterlike, you basically live in a haunted
apartment basically, And then he goeson He's like, do you want to

(15:26):
hear a scary story? Troy?I don't know? Well how I don't
Well? He gets up, andit's so funny because Brianna's like, what
are you doing? Because he's turningoff all the lights. He's like,
like, Brianna, she says, like what I'm thinking? I'm like,
no, I don't want to heara scary story. How about you stop?
Hecause, yeah, all the lights? He lights candles? Oh,

(15:46):
I know, really available? Whohas candles that are like like candle six?
Who has that? Nobody's stick intheir couffee table? Does not seem
safe. Maybe it's an artsy thing. Maybe artsy people have for decoration,
Like, don't like that. Damnit. Now the whole esthetic is ruined.
Now I had to get a newcandles melted, go back to my

(16:07):
Keia. Now great, So hestarts telling the story about Helen Lyle and
Cabrini Green and that she had justquote unquote like snapped. So she apparently
killed a rot wilder and was founddoing snow angels and the dog's blood.
So as he's telling the story,we had the little Puppets again. Oh
yeah, and apparently she was doingresearch on the neighborhood of Cabrini Green.

(16:30):
And as he's telling all this stuff, the story cuts to Anthony and he's
like, she didn't kill a rotwilder. There's no way. And it's
like it was so funny. It'slike this is like a realistic conversation.
I didn't feel like, you know, like the first movie. Yeah,
He's like, this woman did notmurder a rot wilder. There's no way.
No, Apparently she did. Apparentlyshe did. And Troy's like,

(16:51):
there's articles written on it. Ofcourse, So I'm like, okay,
Troy, well, is this kindof like the Internet? Like we're gonna
okay if there it has to betrue. Of course. He goes on
to continues, and she apparently wastaken to jail, but escapes. Immediately
after she gets in jail, shegoes on this killing spree, steals a
baby from one of the apartments thatshe had broken into, which she was

(17:12):
planing on using this child as likea sacrificial offering in this community bonfire in
Kabriti Green. Yeah, and thenapparently one of the residents tackled her,
saved the baby, and then Helenjust walked into the fire. She walked
herself into the fire where she died. Okay, what in the world.
So, of course, you knowall of these like Lord stories and things

(17:34):
like that, they're like, Imean, there's like amplified over the year,
so different twists and spins on it, of course, and every really
believes that this is going on anyway. So Troy and Grady leave a little
bit later, and Brianna and Anthonyare kind of getting ready for bed,
so he is actually after this wholestory that Troy was telling everybody, he

(17:56):
was like, well, I'm goingto check this shit on my own.
So he's like on his phone researchingabout Helen and this Rottweiler thing he found
articles on and he's like, thisshit's real. She killed a rawa.
So Brianna she's like pissed. She'slike she takes his phone, throws it
and says, you know, likedon't creep me out and my brand new
freaking apartment like just no, yeah, we're not doing it my beautiful apartment.

(18:18):
It's very beautiful. It's so welldecorated. Yes. So the next
day, Anthony goes to see Clive. So Clive is like, I called
him an art guru, but he'slike the curator. Yes, I think
he's a curator of an art gallery. Okay. So there is a summer
show coming up and Anthony seems tobe having a hard time creating something new,
so he went over to talk tohim and say like, basically,

(18:38):
I don't really have anything for you, and Clive's like, you need to
get your shit or I'm going tocut you. So he's like, I'm
gonna need some fresh work or thisor it's done. So he wants Anthony
to dig into his history. Theytalk about different neighborhoods to use inspiration,
and when Anthony says that he's thinkingabout doing something about Cabrini Green, Clive's

(19:00):
eyes kind of light up. SoI apparently there's obviously I think of all
this lure and everything that he wanta lot of history. So he's like,
Okay, I want to see whatyou got. So that night,
Brianna goes out with some friends.Anthony starts doing his Google research about Cabrini
Green, the fire hell and allof that. So the next day he

(19:22):
goes to some of the buildings inCabrini Green to photograph them. I guess
to get more inspiration, which iswhat Helen did, doing the same type
of research pictures of the neighborhood.Correct. So as he's taking these pictures,
a bee starts buzzing around him.It bites him, so he kills
it, and then would be wouldsting home it stung him. They don't

(19:44):
bite, maybe he don't fight, but the bee definitely stung it with its
Maybe this bee would bite Cobby bitch. It's a It could be. I
could have teeth. Maybe I don'tknow much about bees. They would fall
to the ground because it'd be soheavy, like they're Did you envision it
as like people sized teeth? Ye, okay, of course I did.
So. It's like a half atooth, maybe like one two fur Maybe

(20:07):
it's bigger than the bee itself.Could you imagine an animal that has a
stinger on its button, human sizedteeth in its mouth and it's like a
half an inch long. No?Fuck that, fuck that, no,
thank you, No, I wantnothing to do with that animal. Not
at all. So he ends upkilling it. It falls on the ground,
and then when he when he looksdown at it, we see like

(20:27):
a bunch of other bees like swarmingit. Yeah, immediately it looked kind
of like ants. Yeah, it'sweird anyways. Yeah, so he jumps
the fence and walks the streets ofthis lockdown old apartments in Berney Green.
He walks to a few of bandan apartments, takes some pictures, then
he starts hearing some noises. Heends up leaving the apartments because well,

(20:47):
I'd be freaked out too, justlike he was. He runs into this
guy that I guess lives near there, Yeah, because he hears like police
sirens. Yeah, so he,like I think, instinctively got uncomfortable because
he's kind of trespassing. It's gated, and it's all also like an area
that he probably shouldn't be in.And so there's a couple of reasons why
he got he got spooked. Yeah, And I think they're trying to show

(21:07):
us, as viewers saw emotions thatthese characters are feeling too in this neighborhood
as well. There's a lot ofemotions in this movie, like you could
feel it, like they did areally good job with that. Yes.
So then when he kind of duckedaway when he heard the siren, we
hear a man talking to him abouthow there are always cups kind of planted
on like the entrance and exit, like the kind of in and out of

(21:29):
the neighborhood. Yeah, and hetells him. He tells Anthony that,
you know, he thinks they're thereto keep them safe, but they're supposed
to be doing but he kind offeels like it's keeping them in the neighborhood.
Correct, So it's kind of okay. He's like, yeah, yeah,
they're saying one thing, but butare they really doing that? Probably
not. So anyways, this guy'sname is William, So William is caring
a few thinks. So Anthony's like, let me just help you. Sure,

(21:51):
all right, So they head tothe laundromat, the nearby laundromat where
William works, and Anthony starts askingme questions about Helen. So Anthony asked,
like he thought that this woman snappedthe way she did, and williams
like, um, well, shewas probably out there looking for candy man
and it looks like she found them. And he's like, well, who's
candy Man? And then dun, dun, duh, So he said to

(22:17):
him Candyman was a guy named,in his opinion, was a guy named
Sherman Fields. He had a hookfor hand, and he passed out candy
to kids. Yeah, and hewould be like hiding in the walls.
Not sketchy at all. Okay,So apparently the which is kind of where
we find out, like, okay, is he the little boy from the
beginning of the movie. I didn'tget that. Okay, I didn't get

(22:38):
the name until I didn't know thelittle boys name was Billy. In the
beginning, I missed that call. When you just said I was like,
oh, well, fuck, thatmakes sense now. But then as he's
telling the story of who candy Manis, we flashed back to the very
first scene of that little boy atthe laundromat and this creepy ass man coming
out of the wall. Right,So then we realized, oh, William

(23:00):
and Billy. Okay, they're thesame person now now that I know Billy's
name is Billy. So apparently therewas this man they used to hide in
the walls and he used to givecandy to children, which is creepy as
fuck. Absolutely. So Apparently therewas this man in the neighborhood who used
to hide razor blades in kids candy, and he says that this little white

(23:22):
girl got really really hurt from it. So everybody went crazy and like protecting
their kids of like don't eat anyof this candy, right, So they
thought it was this Sherman guy becausehe was like in hiding and he would
still hand out candy. So apparentlywhen um William or Billy I guess was
screaming in the basement, these copscame charging into the building, I mean

(23:45):
charging they like they were they werelike waiting for something. This scene was
so creepy for me, it reallywas, and it maybe being a mom's
fear too. But the whole thingis they think the part with him and
Billy, it's like it's all creepy. So the guy who played candy man
was so good at being uneasy tolook. Yeah, like everything about him
was so uncomfortable. Yeah, sohe doesn't say anything. This man who
climbed out the wall with a hookfor a hand, he was making this

(24:07):
like growny kind of breathy sound andtakes his normal hand out of his pocket
and has like a handful of likehard candies, not even like good candies,
just like hard candy, like thecandy that you don't want. How
long were they in his pocket? For? Like gross? They're probably sticky.
So he reaches his hand out toBilly, and Billy, I'm like,
get the fuck up those stairs,Billy, get the fuck up those

(24:29):
stairs. He like, sweet littlekid, I know, is for the
candy and goes to walk up thestairs. As he's like standing on the
stairs, we see the cops comeand they like get him off the stairs,
close the door, and they rundown the stairs and they start attacking
and assaulting and killing yeah german, probably beating him to death. Yes,
so they just I don't know, they just they killed him. And apparently

(24:53):
they thought he was the man whowas putting the razor blades in the candy.
But apparently he's just a man wholikes to hide in the wall and
give kids candy. It was nothim, no, because after he had
died, they had found more razorbladesin candy. So they kept happening.
Yes, so they knew that Shermanwas actually innocent. But he said that
they beat him up so bad thathis face was unrecognizable. It was so

(25:15):
so gross. That's horrible. It'sfucked up. M that's wrong with those
cops like it. So Anthony goesback into a studio now and starts painting
on canvas, painting like crazy, painting like crazy. So Brianna comes home.
He's so excited when she gets there. He wants to like show her
what he has done so far asfar as painting goes. And she talks

(25:36):
about like Sherman was beaten and howthe story started kind of with Cabrini Green,
and he says that he's never feltso connected to painting before, yeah,
which was kind of cool. AndBrianna was too. She was happy
for him. It's so nice.Yeah. Yeah. So he goes on
to say that if you say candyMan five times while looking in the mirror,
he appears and he kills you.So he wants to summon him,

(25:57):
and jokingly he does, is ittrying to get Brianna on board, And
she's like, no, no,don't do that, blah blah. They're
like sitting in their room and thereflection of their giant beautiful windows into like
the evening sky of Chicago. Huh, we can see their reflection in the
window. Yes, and he saysit once and she's like in a chair
and she's like, no, stopit. So I don't know what the

(26:18):
rules are to this whole candy manthing. Doesn't have to be like ellective
or is it like? Can yousay it three times and then four hours
later say it two more? Like? How does? I don't know the
rules? I'd love a little handbookon it if someone like feeling and I'd
love to know more detail. Ithink, yes, I think maybe somebody
can do that for you. Okay, just let me know. Maybe listen
the first maybe that we never saw. They're like, bitches, do your

(26:41):
homework, goddamn. Starting so betweenlike their banter back and forth, he
ends up like looking at himself inthe reflection of the window and says it.
They're playing. He says it again, so over the course a few
seconds, he says it five timesyes, and then they're joking around,
they're kissing, they're having fun.And then when the camera pans away we
see them in with the hook handsreflection in the fucking window. Yeah.

(27:03):
I hated that. I don't likethat. I did not like that.
Yeah I saw that. I'm like, oh, it's all these reflection things.
They fucking creep me out because youdon't know that gonna happen. Well,
you know, because the whole moviethey're showing us like all different windows.
I'm like, oh, okay, well mirrors, windows, like anything
reflective anything. Oh I hated it. So okay. So now we're at
the art show and there's a younggirl that's just kind of walking through.

(27:29):
She has a paper in her handto kind of like, I guess,
to go through all the exhibits, kind of tell everybody who comes in about
them. So she goes over toAnthony's exhibit, which is basically it's a
mirror and then on the inside, like if you open it up, it's
kind of like a medicine cabinet typething, you like, if you open
it up, it's his artworks.Art inside. Yeah, it's like almost

(27:49):
like a shadow box in a way. It was like a door, and
then once you open it, it'slike a recess kind of looking box.
Inside of it has his art basedoff of candy Man and the Cabrini Green
neighborhood and correcoration. And also onthe paper we can see that she's holding
and kind of looking at this mirrorthat she read that if you say Katieman
five times looking at their mirrors thecompany. Okay. So anyway, so

(28:11):
that she kind of walks away andthat's it, but she'll come back.
Yeah. So an art critic,I don't know what her name is,
it was like Finny or Finny orsomething like that has called her. Yeah,
maybe I just called her art critic. Okay, great, Okay.
So the art critic comes up tohis piece. She starts like he starts
word vomiting because he's standing right there, starts word vomiting to her about about
the piece, you know, andshe's like making faces, rolling her eyes

(28:34):
like she doesn't want it, shedoesn't want to hear it. And she's
also kind of like, Anthony,I feel kind of bad because he went
into this art show like so proudof his work or his work is bombing,
like it's not getting the recognition andthe attention that he was expecting it
to get. And that was kindof solidified for him because the critic is

(28:56):
over there and she basically tells himthat she thinks that it's a very cliche
approach, it's very overdone. Yes, it's a very cliche thing. That
he didn't it wasn't original or whatever. So they have an awkward interaction.
So he starts drinking a bit tokind of suppress his emotions. I mean
I probably would do the same thing. Yeah, if I was getting shot
on on my work that I wasso proud of, proud of. So

(29:17):
that's much time doing. Yeah.So uh And eventually he's like he's drinking
too much. He starts like callingClive a dick, and then he ends
up leaving. Yeah, Brehanna likescoots an out of their leave. So
after the show is the art showis done, um, and Clive and
the intern Jessica are like cleaning upthe what's it called? The art show?
The gallery? The gallery? That'sright? Okay, okay, So

(29:40):
after the art show is done andClive and the his intern Jericha are cleaning
up after the gut fuck? Whyam I having the jar? Joy?
I think I'm trying to do twodifferent things in my head. Okay,
I'm gonna try one more time,en if I can't do what you're doing
it Okay. So after the artshow is done and Clive and is in

(30:07):
turn Jericha are cleaning up after theshow. Um, Jerika says that she
wants to have sex with him rightnow. Yeah, she's like down to
hook up. Yeah, and thenshe wants to do that in front of
the Candyman mirror. Yeah, andlike and and say it five times.
Yeah. Yeah, I guess it'sa turn on. I don't know.
I don't She's wearing this like beltcontraption thing that she like has a like

(30:30):
a hook on it, and sheattaches her belt to like his belt,
and it's like, okay, isthat sexy? I don't know. It
feels very like restricted in movement becauseit's like their hips are attached, like
what they are, Like, howdoes that work? How does the how
does this gyration have to get going? It's top But then like yeah,
on hooking, it just seems likea lot. Maybe it's the clothes.
They come off at the same time, so it's like you're gonna coordinate with

(30:52):
somebody like that sounds like a lot. I mean, I kind of un
sexy while you're coordinating pick out yourclothes at the same time. Well,
in my mind, I'm like, well, it's probably okay, because you
know how like with mittens when you'rea kid and they like attatched to each
other. This one to me,So it's based behinds. We have children's
nittens, so you know, likewhen they take their clothes offs and they
don't like get scattered everywhere. They'reconnected, connected, like oh shaking from

(31:17):
my pants. Oh, they're overhere at hatched the mine. Oh thank
yeah, I got him, gotbuddy system. That's just one of my
read little miittens. I love it. I love that path he took us
on. It was oh for it. Oh God. But she's standing with
her back to him, so they'reboth like facing the mirror, which is

(31:37):
weird. It's a very awkward position, weird. And he's like kissing on
her and hands all over the place, and she says candy man five times
while looking into the mirror. Andsimultaneously, Anthony is at his apartment drawing
when these like bees start buzzing aroundhim and he realizes that it's like the
behind the mirror. So this islike all happening in this sees the bees
like buzzing from his face and hegoes to touch it and he hit it's

(32:00):
glass. The bee is on theother side of the mirror from him,
like that. I don't fucking likeno, I hate that. No,
that's creepy because he's like starts touchingthe glass and we realize, I'm like,
fuck, no contact. Great. So they're still making out back at
the gallery and we see in thedisplay mirror that candy Man is there,
but of course they don't see himyet because they're getting all hot and heavy.
Yeah, and then immediately Jerika's throatgets slashed by his hook. Oh

(32:24):
my god, while Clive is stillkissing on her and she's like dying and
he hits sheets the ground and likeher throat is cut. Yeah, He's
like, is this a joke? And I'm thinking no, I mean obviously,
I mean he's probably trying to processthings in his head. He told
the two of them there, sohow could it not be right? Okay,
that part was kind of creepy. It was kind of creepy because it's

(32:45):
like, well, this was thefirst time that we were like meeting candy
Man, and we could see himin the reflection, but we could not
see him like in real life.Yeah. And then once like Clive is
trying to like get up, herealizes that they're still attached. Not a
good idea. He's trying to detachDan mitten's mittens get jared time. He
looks up and he sees a reflectionahead of him in the gallery and it's

(33:07):
the silhouette of a man with likea hook hand, and but there's nobody
there. And then this like displayscreen starts slicing and like breaking, and
he's trying to get break free fromJericha and he finally does and he like
runs to the front door of thegallery. Yeah, and we again we
still see nobody, but we cansee him getting attacked by nobody. He's

(33:29):
like holding onto the front doors ofthis gallery and his feet are like being
lifted up, like he's like someonelike hooked his achilles. I really holders
up and then he's being like dragged, yeah, back to where Jericha is
like right next to her. He'slike gripping the ground. He's bleeding,
and then he gets killed and kindof plays like right next to her.

(33:52):
Yeah, by the display. That'sfun. So now we're on the next
day. So Anthony's painting feverishly inhis studio. He's starting to get like
sores on his hands. Yeah, where he was stung. It looks yeah
gross, I'm like, God,he's got scabies. I hate it is
that what scabies looks like. Idon't know. I assumed it did,
but then my head I was like, oh, he's getting gray scale.

(34:13):
But you've never seen Game of Thrones, so it doesn't make any sense to
you. So whatever, you knowwhat, don't judge. Many people list
her shoe would be like, yeah, it did look at gray scale.
There may even validating me there maybeone or two thank you validating whoa Okay,
but you'll never know. Okay, tell me if you know what I'm
talking about, Okay, go ahead, Messenger's fine. Okay. So at

(34:36):
the same time, Brianna is goinginto the gallery for work that day and
she sees like, h she goesinto the office not really paying attention,
which I don't know how you couldnot pay attention, but whatever, there's
blood on the floor. She wasblood on the floor, rag marks.
Yeah, okay. Anyway, shedoesn't see when she goes in the office,
but when she comes out, shesees a shoe on the floor and

(34:57):
then she like kind of pans aroundand then she see the blood. Okay.
So then we hear reports about themurders that had happened and they found
uh right in front of Anthony's artpiece. I have questions, yeah,
because why would that have been Whywhy would they say that artist's name,
Why would they saying about the gallery? Because yeah, you're absolutely right.
Instead of saying like they found twobodies at x y Z Gallery in Chicago,

(35:20):
they said they found two bodies infront of Anthony McCoy's gallery. And
it's called say my name, Myname, Say my name, Say my
name. Couldn't help it, no, it just it felt right. It
had to happen. It did.We did good. I think I think
we're getting we're getting better. Okay, see we had to just dust the
cob website. I was doing okaynow, so yeah, the news report

(35:43):
like announced way to its information.Yeah, And Anthony and Brianna and Troy
are sitting in an apartment and they'rewatching the news and Anthony is like smiling
yeah because he's thinking like, oh, my name's out there, like I'm
saying my name, they said myname. Okay, that sounds great.
And then we pant to like Briannaand Troy, who were like the fuck

(36:04):
he two people were just murdered. He's like, yeah, no, I
know that's bad. Like I feelbad, but like they said my name
on the brown just walks away. She's like, okay, okay, containing
a bit, buddy. So weflashed back to Brianna who's walking through the
gallery. So now we're kind offinishing where she was in the gallery earlier,
so we're finding the rest of thestory of that. So she's walking
through the gallery, she buys Cliveand jer Cup. Then we flash too

(36:25):
when she was little and her dadwas in I guess his art studio.
She walks in and he's like sittingoutside the window with his legs hanging outside.
Yeah, so apparently he said somethinglike, did you know your dad
could fly? And then he apparentlyjumps out of the window. He kills
him right in front of her.She had to be like ten, oh

(36:45):
yeah, right in front of her. So then she wakes up and she
sees like these shadow figures all aroundher. I'm like handymia. And then
she wakes up again. So itwas a dream. All of this was
dreams. Dreams was in dreams becauseshe hears someone like breathing from the hallway
and then she sees it and thenshe snaps out of it again, and
when she actually wakes up, shesees like where she saw this silhouette someone

(37:06):
breathing in the hallway. Yeah, she sees Anthony standing in the doorway of
like where she saw silhouette, andhe's there in the bathroom, the light
on, just standing there in frontthe mirror. Yeah. So she's like
calling to him. He doesn't respondto her. It's weird. He's in
this like trance in the bathroom. So she like goes up to him in
the doorway and she says that likeshe had a bad dream and he said

(37:28):
that he did too, and she'slike what was yours about? And he's
like what was what he has?No, she's talking like he's so out
of it, he's not even payingattention to the conversation. And then he
just like closes the bathroom door onher and says like, oh, I'll
be out and close the door onher and just goes back to like standing
like picking at his weird grayscale scout. And she's like Anthony, like she's
trying to figure out what what thefuck is just happened with him? Oh

(37:49):
I hate it. So so nowAnthony, I guess the next day or
said, well, I don't knowwhat das So Anthony goes and what I
thought was a library, but Ithink it's a school, isn't it.
I think it was a school becausehe had to, like, because there's
a bunch of students there. Ithink it was a school. I think
it was school the college library.I don't know, I don't know.
Anyways, he goes in. Heasked like the receptionist there in like this
library looking thing and asked for HelenLyle's file or like a box of her

(38:15):
things. They had like a videorecorder in it and like a few files
and things like that. Um,and I thought it was kind of funny.
The girl thought that he was lartingwith her. Yeah, I got
like smittened with him pretty clezily. She's, yeah, he's a cute guy.
So she has had recorded herself onthis recorder and he's like listening to,

(38:35):
you know, what she's saying, and he's she's talking about basically the
residence of Cabrina Green. She's interviewingthem. She's, I guess, trying
to figure out what's going on there. So she says that the violence became
like a ritual in this community. And people say that they always said that
the candy man did it and seemedto like grow from like the fear started

(38:58):
growing from like the community's collect actof like subconscious type things kind of thing
exactly. So she said that shesummoned candy Man and she gets it.
She like she understands this whole Candymanthing. It was, like she said,
it was really scary being stalked bya reflection. I'm wondering why he
didn't kill her right off the bat, because sometimes he does. Well,

(39:20):
I wonder, okay, because Ihad the same question because obviously Anthony said
candy Man five times, right, correct, But the first victims are Jerika
and Clyde. That's true. SoI'm wondering it's it's because and I think
I think gets the end and findout like what goes on with Anthony.
But like I think the person whosummons them becomes like they're conus kind yeah

(39:44):
yeah, and then anybody else isafter that become immediate victims. Like I
think this is the person. Ithink this is candy Man's conduit to get
to other people and get what hewants. He just picks and chooses who
he wants to kill. I get. I think it's who use as a
conduit Okay, yeah, I thinkso, because when we get to the
end, I think it now thatwe're talking about it, it makes sense.

(40:04):
It does make sense. It tooka minute. Yeah, okay,
I'm glad you got that out.So he ends up going into this full
mirrored elevator, so that first ofall, to leave the building. Who
designs an elevator that has all wallsand ceiling as a full fucking mirror.
It's just for this movie that hapsyreflections, But fuck that it would it
would be in a brothel. Iknow, brothels back in the day didn't

(40:27):
have elevators or electrical an elevator. It's a bougie brothel AnyWho. So it
starts to malfunction, of course, and then he sees like this piece of
candy hit the floor or hit theground. He notices it, picks it
up. He gets cut by therazor blade that's in the candy. Sure

(40:47):
does. As the blood is drippingfrom his hand to the ground. The
blood is dripping on the ground isnow dripping from the ceiling onto him.
So it's like this like weird blueything happening. Hated it. So he
looks up he sees a reflection ofcandy Man. Oh hated it. And
then he's like freaked the fuck out. Scary as fuck. He scary,

(41:08):
he's got he's wealthy, and he'sgot his face is sorted, he's got
the hook. It's a lot. It's got like a crazy seventies pimp coat.
It's a lot happening. It's kindof like, yeah, it's a
yellow trench coat. Yeah, likea funny collar. I mean it's kind
of badass. Like anyways, Okay, so he like ducks down. He's

(41:31):
like freaked out, and then allof a sudden, like the door chimes
and it like opens up to likethese stupid students, So like what the
fuck is happening in there? Andpeople like staying out at the elevator and
he's like panicking in the corner andeverybody's just like He quickly like gathers his
stuff, tries to like leave theelevator whatever a swagger he has a leg,
hits the fuck up out of there. So he goes back to his

(41:53):
apartment to start painting while while listeningto the rest of these interviews the Helen
was doing and and he gets acall from Brianna who tells him that there
is a high profile client for theWhy can't I think of the fucking name
the gallery. Yes, So there'sa high profile client that's coming into town
that's going to be like looking atthe gallery and kind of looking at what's

(42:15):
going on, and he needs tobe there with her, like for this,
don't fuck it up. And they'recoming in from New York and they're
going to this nice dinner. There'sgoing to be a bunch of them who
are from like these big wigs inthe art world. Yes, And I
think Brianna is also like an artdirector curator type of thing as well,
in training to something like she's beena name for herself, but I don't

(42:36):
think she's never owned gallery yet.So she's like working along with like Taper
and Anthony as well. So she'stelling him like this dinner is important to
basically both of their careers. Yeah, you have to be there, don't
fuck it up, don't suck itup. So now he does basically gets
another phone call. He gets anotherphone call, and he rushes out of
their apartment. He gets this otherapartment that's like this big ass fucking circle

(43:00):
goal, and I was like,I think he's walking in circles. I
can tell the apartment, let's sketchyfrom the outside, but it was beautiful
on the inside. It freaked meout of it. It's fine. It
was a little weird. It waswe always. The whole bay was strange
though. He was just like walkingin continuous circle. I'm like, where
is he going in his man?So he gets his apartment, like rings
the bell, he walks in andhe's talking to this woman and when the

(43:20):
camera pans out, we realize itwas the art critic. Yeah. Yeah,
that was from his Finley or whateverher name was, who was kind
of like tearing apart his gallery geta presentation earlier. Yeah, so she
is all of a sudden now fascinatedhis work. Since there was two deaths
in front of it, she couldgive two ships about his artwork. But

(43:40):
now that it's like on the newsand his name has been out there and
there was actually like deaths in frontof it, now she's fascinated and Anthony.
There's a lot happening with Anthony goingon in tire, but he is
kind of seeing through her shit abit because he calls her out on it
of like, oh, now likemy work basically, yeah, why why

(44:01):
now, right now? You givea shit? Cool? So she she
excuses herself and goes to the bathroom, and he turns to her and he
says that he dares her to sayhis name five times in the mirror.
Canny Man, not Anthony. Ohyeah, that's something I'd be really sexual
at that point. No, no, no, Anthony Anthony. So he

(44:22):
dares her to say canny Man namefive times in the mirror, and he
says it with this like confidence oflike kind of cocky. Yeah. Yeah.
And it's like, you know, that's not all him talking. There's
a lot going on because he's gotthis like new kind of persona that he's
walking around with. And she kindof like rolls her eyes a little bit

(44:42):
smirks at him, and she leaves, and then he starts picking at his
gross graceful hand. Okay, Ithought something was gonna come out of it.
I thought bees were gonna come outof it. Yes, okay,
this part I started dry having inmy living room. It's his it's his
right hand, right, It's likebetween like his thumb and his index fingers.
There's like this giant, nasty scaband the top of his hand is

(45:04):
like bumpy and like scantly, like, so this giant welt that's on his
hand, he starts picking at itall yeah, like peeling it back.
He peeled it and there was soundeffects. I started, I'm gross.
Then he realized it starts like bleeding. I'm like, don't touch it,
don't don't touch it. Well, then he realized that he should stop.

(45:25):
He's like, oh, well, this is gross. Now he gets up
and like grabs a napkin from likethis like bar card thing she has or
living room, and starts wrapping hisright hand. We flip to the critic
in the bathroom. She's standing ather vanity and looking in the mirror and
she's thinking to herself. We don'tsee or hear her saying nope, nothing.
So after Anthony wraps up his hand, we hear a whisper of someone

(45:49):
calling Anthony's name and I hated that. Fucking hated that. So he's like
he calls to the crite. Hecalls to her, thinking that it's her
right saying his name five times, and he gets to the hallway where the
bathroom is. The left is tothe ba. The bathroom to the right
of the hallway is a full fuckinglength mirror. Yeah, who has a

(46:10):
full length mirror in their hallway?I don't, I don't, I would
never want that. But there's afull length mirror there. Huh. So
he is standing at this mirror becausehe's like it's something's drawing him into it.
He's like hearing things and he standslike basically like almost touching this mirror.
He's standing so close to it.He hears this like noise or sound

(46:32):
behind him. He turns like backat the bathroom door. And when he
turns back to the mirror, fuckingcandy Man's right fair as if they're about
to smooch each other. Yeah,it's like how close they are on the
other side of the mirror is inthe reflection of the mirror. Anthony freaks
the fun outs of why I meanla, I mean yeah. He goes
and like raises his hands to coverhis face. Every movement and gesture,

(46:55):
reaction, everything Anthony's doing the exactreflection is happy with candy Man so creepy,
and at this point I'm like,oh fuck, he's becoming candy Man.
Yeah, he's becoming That's what Ifelt the same way on that part.
Yeah, because then it makes senseof like he summoned him and he's
the conduit and he's basically slowly becomingcandy Man to fulfill this whole other bullshit

(47:17):
that he has to do. Andthat's why everybody else is the victim besides
Anthony, because he is becoming him. He is becoming the victim, right,
I mean technically he is right,Peop'll get there. But it's like,
and then he realizes that like hisright hand that is wrapped up with
the gross, bloody, gross scampboot is the same hand that Candy Man's
like hook is in. Ah,there's just like a lot of creepy parallels

(47:39):
happening. It's a lot. Andthen the bathroom door opens. He quickly
turns and looks behind him, andhe sees the Gretick standing in the doorway
of that bathroom. It kind ofsnaps him out of what just happened,
yes, because then he quickly looksback at the mirror he was and it's
normal reflection, right, Candy Man'sgone normal reflection. He's like, what
the fuck is going on with youright now? Right? And he turns

(47:59):
back to look at her, andwe can see I hate this part too.
We can see like over her shoulderis like a sliver of like the
bathroom mirror, like the sink, and we see like half of Candy Man
like there, and he quickly likeducks out of frame. Hate that,
so you know in the bathroom shesaid it five times? Absolutely, Oh
fuck her? Okay, okay, well well, so Anthony panics and he's

(48:22):
like, I have to leave andliterally runs out of the apartment right as
soon as he saw that reflection ofCandy Man in the bathroom with her,
would you be doing the same thing. Yes, there'd be a Stephanie shaped
like hole in the door. Imade sure. When I was watching with
my husband, I was like, don't even try to be fucking funny.
Don't think you're playing a joke withme. If you start saying his name

(48:44):
and a reflection to me, Iam going to be pissed. I go,
this is not me being funny andjoking. I would be so fucking
mad if you try to do this, I'm gonna be so angry. And
he thought I was kidding at first, started laughing at me, and I
was like, don't laugh at me. I'm serious, don't fuck with me.
And he didn't do it. That'snice. I was very are you
upset? I mean, and thisis way too fresh, don't fok with
me. I was so scared. So it'd be okay if you did it

(49:05):
like five months on the road.No oh fuck that, I mean just
saying you said it was still fresh, okay, but don't do it at
all. Oh okay, I'm evennervous saying it as many times recorded also,
and Kenny Man was like, notsomething that was like, obviously,
I haven't ever seen it was thatBloody Mary when you were a kid,
Bloody Mary. But three times Ican't remember it was it three times or
five times? Three? I thoughtit was three, Yeah, it was
three. And then there was anotherone too. I can't remember what it

(49:27):
was like saying saying a name.I don't know what it was. I
anyways, you know when I wasa kid, Bloody Mary was like,
yeah, I still haven't done itbecause I don't I don't want to know.
I don't want no creepys person comingin anything. I think. I
want to see my own reflection.Thank you, thank you very much.
Okay. So he runs out theapartment like you said, and we see

(49:53):
from the outside of the building we'relike in the air basically yes, and
we see the whole like elevation ishigh rise. Yes, so um,
we do not see Candy man,but we see her get thrown up like
we're at a wide angle here, yeah, this cameras. So she gets
thrown up against the window of herapartment and like drugged on the side,

(50:15):
and it looks like she got killed. It looked like maybe struck, like
strangled or something. Yeah, soas soon as he left, she got
attacked as soon as he was gone, and now where it's like, okay,
it seems like everywhere he leaves somethinghappens. As soon as he left
the gallery, something happened to Cliveand Jericho. As soon as he was
the art curator ladies apartment, shegets killed too. Well, and I

(50:37):
was thinking too, I'm like, well, maybe maybe he is subconsciously doing
it, but we're not seeing it, like somehow. I don't know how
it would work because it's invisible whatever, But I'm thinking to myself, he's
he did it like he' That wasmy thought too, was like he went
back to the gash. I don'tthink that's the case, but I don't
know, I don't know. Idon't know how Candy man works I don't
know, okay, and not findingout. Okay, we're up Rihanna's dinner

(51:00):
with her artists big wigs. UmAnthony is actually there, yes, but
he's like super checked out, likehe's not he's not even a park too.
Yeah, he's still picking at hisgross scab. Are you're gonna be
Okay, I have the visual inmy head. It's so grossed out by
it. It's pretty gross. Soshe's rubbing elbows with them. She's like
loving every second of it, mosingit up, killing it. But you

(51:22):
know what they are, they loveher. Oh yeah, So she is
loving every second of this. Shewants to be her own curator. So
they're like, oh my god, that's fantastic. And I think she I
think because she was under Clive andClyde was like a big, big dude
too, like as far as likein the art world. Yeah, And
I think that being trained under him, she was like, uh, she

(51:44):
was involved with all these other peopleas well, all got her name out.
Yeah, and one of the guysfrom because they're trying to basically recruit
her to come to New York yeahand be like a director curator there.
And one of the guys who she'strying to impress, who's impressed with her,
is basically telling her, and likea very too free in rude way
that like Clive dying is the bestthing to having her career. Absolutely,
And I'm like, oh, oh, dude, dude, this guy gets

(52:06):
away saying that. But I feellike we watched another movie. It was
a red bustle or velvet bustle.Maybe that's what it was a whole.
And they just don't give a shitabout each other. It's like they're all
like best friends, but they'll talkbehind each other's back to your face.
They're best friends, and they're okaywith people dying. Yeah, it seems
like it because they're out of theirway. Then yeah, you get like
stepped up another when somebody else dies. Yeah. Anyways, okay, So

(52:30):
they all of their phones and Ifeel like I happened all at the same
time. All their phones start going. Makes sense that they're all in this
industry. That's true. Um,And they said that the critic it was
so bad girl, we still loveyou. She was found that in her
apartment. So they all got likethis text message that said this. Brianna

(52:51):
looks at Anthony Anthony's looking real guiltyright now. He looks rough. He
immediately gets up runs out of therestaurant, and I'm like, okay,
I feel like maybe you could havejust like gotten up and said I need
to excuse myself. Belies it.Okay. Anthony goes directly to the launcher
Matt to go see William, andhe asks who Candy Man is, and
he says that he isn't a man, he's the whole damn beehive. Okay,

(53:15):
whatever the fuck that means. SoWilliam tells him that there has been
many men before him. There firstwas an eighteen ninety where a black guy
fell in love with the daughter ofa wealthy man, a wealthy white man
who had this guy basically killed.Yeah. So this man was a portrait
painter and this white family was wealthyand they hired this portrait painter to paint

(53:38):
their family. Yeah. So whenhe was painting the daughter, they both
fell in love and she got pregnant. Yes, So when she told her
father, of course it's the guy'sfault, right, of course it is.
So they tortured him. They basicallylike doused him in honey bees,
attacked him, they cut off hisright hand replaced it with a hook,

(53:58):
and they basically set him on fireuntil he died. And that's Candy Man.
That's it's basically how William describes him. Yes, so he says that
all the pain that has endured byall like all of the men that have
endured all this pain is real andit continues to be real like to the
present day. So it's basically justkind of one of those things where I

(54:19):
feel like it has it has alot to do with like black history and
the struggling and things like that. And I'm like, because I kind of
I kind of felt that when theywere kind of going through that storyline,
and he's like, it's it's alwaysthere, it always has been, it's
there now, right. So thenhe tells them to go home, get
some rest. He'll feel better inthe morning. Go take a pill.
Light out. You're hysterical. Sowhen Anthony gets home, he finds Brianna

(54:44):
looking at his paintings in his studioimmediately freaks out. He freaks out.
I mean he has done these likeeight foot tall, six foot wide just
faces, just like these portraits ofCandy Man. But they're not real.
Yeah, they're not abstract kind oflike you can creepy a forwarded face.
He's like, and I suck itin one of them with no actual eye

(55:05):
in it, and it's like it'sall distorted portrait faces, this different versions
of this man. So she's freakingout, like asking him, like what
this is, and he's trying tocover the paintings. I don't if you
didn't want her to see it,or if he's like my masterpieces isn't ready
yet, like I couldn't if Icouldn't think he was ashamed of it,
or if he was like genuinely proud, I couldn't tell. Well. I

(55:27):
felt I felt like he was tryingto hide it because he's like I made
a fucking mistake, Like don't lookat him, because I feel like you're
going to be attacked as well,Like I feel like it was to protect
her a lot of emotion because hetries to confess to her that like he
did something wrong, he summoned, summoned this demon, right, and she
is getting very emotional and she's likehe's not real. I'm real, I'm

(55:49):
right here, I'm trying to helpyou, like he's not real, and
she's like, I'll prove it toyou, And she turns to the mirror
and says, Candy man's naty likeonce, and Anthony freaks out, grab
something, smashes the mirror, scaresthe shit out of her, and she
goes to leave and she's like, this is crazy. Don't fucking follow me.
I'm out of here. Yeah, and she leaves the apartment. She
does. She goes to stay withher brother and his boyfriend, who was

(56:12):
like the best brother by the way, Oh my god, I love him.
So I was like, I toldyou not to get with that bumm.
I'm talking with these artie guys. And then he makes fun of him
for thinking that, like he summoned, uh, summoned Candy again and he
calls him He's like and a dickon the plant off set in a demonalogy
hobby. I was like, Ieverything we're thinking he was Finn and he

(56:35):
was just such a good brother,Like he was so supportrible you say here
as long as you need, Likehe was just like so sweeter. Yeah.
Well, Andy gave her some weedjust to kind of call Yeah,
him and Grady, we take thecurls. It's fine, okay, Okay,
So now we switched scenes and nowwe are like at a high school
or some kind of I think it'sa private school or it was that.

(56:57):
Yes, it was that girl whowas walking through the art gallery earlier who
had the pamphlet with her and shesaw Anthony's display on candy Man. Yeah.
So she randomly asks all of herfriends because her she's just hanging out
in the bathroom with her friends.Of course there's five of them. Of
course there's five of them. Sherandomly asked them if they have heard of
candy Man, and then she hasthem all like line up in front of

(57:17):
the mirrors that are in this bathroomand say it together. Yeah, they'll
say it together. The best partis that they say it three times and
the Stephanie of the group goes, not today, wraps her back back,
and gets out of the bathsh Shedoesn't even look back. No, she
like she literally says not today. And I'm like, that's me, that
would be me of the group.Fuck you guys, am out. No,

(57:38):
she's gone. Do we look ather name in the in the on
the critics? Do we look ather name in the credits the credits to
see if her name was Stephanie? So, like, I wasn't that it?
Well, they say it two moretimes and they just wait there and
stare the reflections, and then thebathroom door opens. It makes everybody jumps.
Oh yeah. And it was thislike poor girl who walked in and

(57:59):
they not very nice to her. They started bullying her. Yea. She
put her headphones on and she likehid in a stall. Yes, And
they were kicking the stall door. And I'm like this, say this fucking
girl alone, like she's doing anyof you. She went into the bathroom
in the public bathroom, Leave heralone, she shut her head down.
She wasn't bothering you. Yes.So one of the four girls that was
part of the saying say once thinkingfrom the mirror opens like a compact like

(58:21):
mirror. I'm yeah, like alittle compact mirror like shit for like her
makeup, and we don't see it, but you could tell her she sees
something because she slowly looks behind herand she starts to freak out a bit,
and she's like, Okay, let'sjust get the fuck out of here.
Huh. So the main girl whotried to organize the seance is trying
to open the bathroom door and it'slocked. Can't open it. She startsn't
blaming the poor girl in the stall. Who you are who they were harassing?

(58:43):
Yea, here alone, fool themhere for it, leave her alone?
She did. No, Yeah, she has nothing to do with this.
So one of the girls runs overto the sink too. I forgot
like her bag or something over there, something I don't know. She runs
over there and then she's like gone, but we hear like noise and squarshy
sounds, and then we one ofthe other girls doesn't want to go over

(59:05):
there because she's freaked the fuck out, so she gets on the floor to
look underneath the stalls over towards.Don't do that. She get her hands
on the flip. I have astory about me crawling on McDonald's bathroom floors
for the gross Yeah, ask meabout it someday, guys, sticky,
but I needed to burn my clothesoff of that anyway. So she looks
over towards like the sink area whereher friend was, and she can't see

(59:30):
her feet like on the floor, like she's not there. But then we
see like blood just start running runningdown I guess the sink edge, I
don't know. So now there's likemass chaos happening. There's blood flying everywhere.
The girl that was like in thestall who has like her headphones on

(59:51):
with the like music going. She'snot involved, she's mining her own business,
but she like can see all ofthese things happening underneath the stall door.
Yeah, she gets a little terrified. Sure, I get it.
And then that's kind of it.So now we're back with Anthony. He
wakes up on his studio floor. He looks like he's in pain. Yeah,
and then he has like glass allin his hands. Yeah, like

(01:00:15):
completely like indean palm of his hand. I feel like you'd be through the
other side of his hand. Actually, it's so weird because he's like laid
out on the floor. So that'swhat I was thinking sitting you where.
I'm like, was he part ofthis like bathroom massacre? Like I don't
know, I don't know, buthe like woke up on the floor of
his studio with a giant shot ofglass in the palm of his hand and
he pulls it out and I'm like, oh god, his scabies is looking

(01:00:38):
so bad. It's gone like uphis arm and then his finger, his
fingernail, guys, his middle finger, his fingernail is black. It's black
like tar, and he touches itand it slides the fuck off his foot,
off his finger. I started likegagging while watching this, and then

(01:01:00):
I realized that a drink right now. The second time I closed my finger
in a car door, I lostmy fingernail, and I think, what
freaks out about this is like whenit came off, it just like fell
off. Yeah, as if itwasn't, like you don't even lose toothing.
I work on it and pull itout of your mouth. Yeah,
when your fingernail just decides it's hadenough with your finger and falls off it

(01:01:22):
just have you had PTSD from smashingyour finger, I thought twice in the
car, I was twice. Imean, maybe you should watch. But
I remember just like it falling offof me, being like, well that
shouldn't happen. No, it's justlike skin. Yeah, And then I
saw his just slam his finger, and I went, well, because you

(01:01:45):
know, if it's not if theydon't just fall off, he slid off,
which means it was slimy uneath andgoofy gaily scabies, looking like a
beehive. Now, yeah, honeycombylittle bit going all the way up his
right arm and you can see iton his neck a little. Oh yeah,
that's for sure. Well, nowI guess maybe he hasn't smashed all

(01:02:07):
the mirrors in his apartment because Ithink he saw himself and realizing he need
to go to the hospital, sohe looks bad. He went to the
hospital. Yeah. So as he'ssitting on this bed wedding for the doctors
to come in, there's this newsreport that comes on the TV in his
room about the girls that were murderedat the high school. And Anthony's piece's
name say my name, My name, you say my name was written on

(01:02:30):
the bathroom walls. So obviously hisart piece is kind of all over everything
that's dying. Right. I waslike, was he there? Because I
was like on the wall, Iknow, like the spirit that I don't
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know. So he leaves
the hospital. He goes to hismother's house because the doctor said, welcomes

(01:02:51):
him back there. And I'm like, that's a weird thing to say to
anybody. Yes, because I'm like, oh my god, was he there
the other day? He's remember it? And he asks her and she tells
him that he was born in thathospital, and I'm like, this man's
gonna be thirty five years old andyou're telling him welcome back. What a
weird didn't it anybody? It isa little weird. Oh it's relevant.
We have to know about it.And he's like, no, I was
born at So it's a hospital acrosstown. And she's like, not according

(01:03:13):
to my records. Something like snapsin him. He's putting things together.
He bee lines it to his mom'shouse. So she asks if he has
been painting lately, and he saidthat he had. He's like, bitch,
I'm gonna be hive halfway at myface. We even have been painting
lately. I got bigger problems here. Yeah. Well she I think she's
just trying to make conversation. Ifeel like she knows that there's something odd

(01:03:34):
happening, like what's the buzz? No? Maybe no, you need to
apologize. No. I cannot condonethis behavior. I cannot work in these
conditions with these really cheesy lines.I can't. Well, I'm proud of

(01:03:58):
it. Okay, I'm I'm goingto be getting on LinkedIn. I'm posting
for a new podcast host. Isthere anybody out there that would like to
take her position. Will you stillbe my honey? Okay? What is
wrong with you right now? Areyou okay? No? I won't be

(01:04:21):
your honey by the way, rightSo, yes, he had been painting.
He says he's very inspired by candyMan. But before he could get
the whole name out of his mouth, his mom was like, oh yeah,
I really like the reaction. Shemust have cried, No, no,

(01:04:43):
we don't. No, don't hear. She's like, you are not
saying that, You're not saying thatname in my house? So apparent like
like you said, he found it. He found out that he was born
in that hospital um where his momhad always told him art No, had
not told him what okay? Sohe asks why, like she lied to
him, and she says that shewanted to protect him. So she goes

(01:05:06):
over. She tries to hug him. She sees these burn lesions scabies all
over his body. Be oh,behalf. Do you do you want a
cowboy hat and horse? Okay? What if she's becoming a beehive? I
can't be hive and behaves? Iknow, I got it, I got

(01:05:29):
it. It's great. Oh that'sfun. You're done. This is a
fun one. Yeah, I don'tknow. Yeah, I'm gonna see if
I'm inspired like Henny Man. Yea, let's even get prompted by something else.
Oh dear god. Okay, Soshe goes over sees these like scabies
on his body. She winces alittle and he and he demands to know
what happened. Yeah, like, why am I like this spilled the tea,

(01:05:50):
sets my tea with honey, I'mdone for now, I'm done.
I can't. I can't promise,I'm gonna I can't. So she tells
him that he was taken and shethought that Helen had actually done it,
but Helen was found in their apartmentcovered with blood, so it wasn't her.

(01:06:11):
She said, it was quote unquotehim. Yeah, so she said
Candyman pulled him in the fire, but Helen was the one that pulled him
back out and gave him back toher. So when Helen went into the
fire. This is like the wholething of like these stories getting twisted and
turned through all these years of youknow, them being shared. Yeah,
the part that we hear of,like she tried to bring the baby into

(01:06:31):
the fire to sacrifice it, butthen she gets stopped and the baby gets
staved, and she goes in.She did end up going into the fire,
but she's saved, she said thebaby, and she stayed in the
fire to sacrifice herself, to puta stop to all the chaos. Tell
him enough to get out here, take a penn light down. Much so,

(01:06:54):
from that day, the whole communitythat was there around this fire vowed
to never say Candyman again. Butsomeone broke the pact, and now Candy
Man found him. It was yourboy, Anthony, he broke the pact.
That was him, I know.So he gets up, he leaves
Um, and he's upset with hismom is bad, he's but he's also
like it's not always it's not allhim. It's like he's being he's taken

(01:07:17):
over. Yes, So like heis upset for it does not for lying,
But now he's starting to realize likewhat is happening to him, and
he's like become this conduit. Correct, he is becoming this person that is
becoming Candy Man. Basically exactly whenhe leaves, he goes to what I
call the desolate streets of Cabrini GreenUm. So sometime later Brianna and Troy

(01:07:40):
go to hers and Anthony's apartment togo get her things, and it's so
funny because Troy walks in, He'slike, hey, we're here. I
don't want any trouble. We're justgonna get some stuff, saying oh yeah,
I'm sorry, Yeah, I don'thave enough, and I'm just saying
like he's going into a business beinglike, this is what's up. My
sister is getting her up and she'sleaving with me. I'm letting you know

(01:08:01):
that I'm in your apartment. Nodanger, but she's getting the fuck up
Attie here. It's true, buthe's not there obviously, and while she's
packing her stuff, she can't figureout, like where he is. I
tried calling a friend that he hasn'tseen up. Yeah, she sees this
pen on the island and it hasa laundry mat on it. He took
the pen when he was taking notesfrom William exactly. So she's like,

(01:08:23):
oh, he's talked about this laundrymat before, So now she's going to
laundry mat too. Investigator, Well, she's gotta give her. She gotta
find out where he's at. Shedoes on normal cliche thing when she gets
there too, so she walks andthere's only one woman with earbuds in listening
to music or whatever, probably ourpodcast Dye Gray. Oh, that'd be
great. Yeah, what's that girl? She's doing laundry and there's nobody else's
laundrymat No. So she sees thislike open glass door. I don't know

(01:08:46):
what's in there, but there's likean open lass door and the office maybe
I don't know. She like tapson it and she's like, hello,
my girl, I know. Soshe like goes into the room and she
sees Anthony wears his like red kindof beanie kind of caply in the movie.
She sees his hat on this table, so it kind of like lures
her into the room, of course, so she grabs it. She doesn't

(01:09:10):
realize that the glass room behind heris slowly closing. I heard it locked
behind her. Yeah, so Ididn't really know why she didn't. She
notices reflection when it was closed.I sure did, Okay. As the
door is slowly closing, we seewe see his reflection in the door.
I hated it. He's the onethat did that. Yep, he closed
the door. She goes over tolike one door and it's locked. She

(01:09:30):
opened another door and it's a darkass fucking basic. Well, I thought
of you. When she does, she's like, gope, well I'm watching
it. I'm like, don't youdare? Okay. She literally went no,
no, nope, closing the doorand she goes to leave and the
glass door to get out of thatroom is locked, right, So of
course she's like trying to open it. She's banging on the door, ask

(01:09:51):
for someone to help. We seethe view of the one patron in the
laundromat Jam and Out's Tipsy Pot podcastDinner dream Girls are hilarious. I'm telling
all my friends about there, ofcourse, And then we see Brianna in
the room and she gets grabbed bysomebody, yes, which we don't know
who it is, and we don'tknow if it's Anthony, we don't if

(01:10:11):
it's wait, we don't know.If we don't know, but someone grabs
him. Yes. So now weflashed back to when William was a kid
and he is in his apartment withhis sister who is calling for candy man.
She's in the bathroom and I don'tknow if she won't let him in.
I can't remember let him in.Okay, So she says candy man.
Five times. He goes in tolike like he tries to like push

(01:10:32):
his way through there because she's playing. I don't know if it's her or
somebody else, but she's doing thisin the bathroom. He wants he involved
in it, and she won't lethim. She locks the door on him,
or close the door correct, andthen he hears this thought these noises
whatever. Afterwards, he goes toopen the bathroom door and it gets stopped.
Don't open like a crack, andit gets stopped by like a bloody
limb. He's hot, there's bloodall over that bathroom. Okay, this

(01:10:55):
part isn't like because he looks upat them the vanity right there in front
of him, and he can seelike the curtains to get pulled back from
the shower, and he's in therein the shower and he's like making this
like creepy like laughy breathy sound, staring at us through the mirror. And
I said, no, sir,how dare you look away? Thank you?

(01:11:16):
I did not like him looking. It was creepy. It was creepy.
So they did a good job. It's what you're saying. It was
creepy. I didn't like that thatreflection, didn't didn't didn't like it.
Nope. Okay, So now Briannamust have been knocked out at some point.
So now we're back with Brianna. She wakes up and she is strapped

(01:11:36):
like her hands are behind her backand it looks like it maybe duct tape
and somehow duct tape to a pew. She's sitting in a pew. Yeah,
they're in this like tiny little church, Chinese church. William is there
and we see Anthony also kind ofin the distance in front of us,
and he is sitting on a stool. His back is facing us basically,
and he's facing like a wall.Yeah, I thought he was painting.

(01:11:59):
I thought so too, but hewas not. He was not. He
was literally just sitting there. Andthen another trance. Correct. So he
says that the community was stained overand over and over again and now from
all like the death and everything andof this candy man. So now baby
Anthony has come back and it's nowperfect symmetry, like it's now coming full

(01:12:20):
circle. It's where it should be. And William goes over to Anthony,
who is completely covered in these lesionsnow, like from head to toe starts
sawing off his arm, like likeyou were saying, he's like in this
trance. Yeah, so he's kindof you can see tears rolling from his
eyes, but he's not screaming orcrying or talking. Reminded me of like
when we watched get Out. Yeah, Jordan Peel as a producer in this,

(01:12:42):
so I had a similar absolutely andget Out when they're kind of like
in that sunken place. Yeah, and they can tell in people, but
they have no reaction that they havethe tears, like they just they can't
do anything about it, right, and it's like they're in a shell of
a body. Yes. Yeah,And William is saying that he made an
anonymous call to the Lease that someonehad seen someone who was like all doing
all these massacres around town at thischurch in Cabrini Green because his thought is

(01:13:08):
that the cops are gonna come in, they're gonna see him, they're gonna
shoot him, and he will bethe sacrifice, right, and he needs
a witness, which is Brianna inthe pew over there. Uh huh.
So, as you're saying, poorAnthony, he saws off his hand.
Oh my god, can you imaginethis whole part was made uncomfortable, and
he got this hook and he putit in his arm. Yeah, tearing.
It was sad. It was sohard to watch. I didn't like

(01:13:30):
it at all. I didn't likeit at all either. So Brianna ends
up getting all over the restraints. She runs and then she ends up going
into a basement. Question mark. She's like, down this fucking tunnel,
down the goddamn stairs. So he'sin this tunnel. Why would you do
that? Well, William starts runningafter her. She gets out of the
basement doors like she finds, likeI guess, stares out to the outside
of this building and she hides inone of the apartments. That's like right

(01:13:53):
out from these from this base. Was kind of smart because if she kept
running, he would have seen heroutsider, so she kind of like ducked
in. Well, she didn't hidefor long, that's okay, that's fine.
I mean she had a couple ofseconds. So he finds her.
She ends up stabbing him to deathwith his own pen. Oh my god,
over and over and over again.I mean she went to town,
ye did? Anthony comes in staggering, and he ends up like falling at

(01:14:18):
her feet and then we hear copspull up. They bust in start firing
shots. He's they're both on theground. He's in her lap dead.
Yes, he dies in her arms. And these cops come in and they
start shooting, and we don't seethem. We see the sir. We
see like the sirens were the sirensthat we see the blue and the red
lights going, and we see Briannapick up. Her hands are covered in

(01:14:40):
blood, but we don't know iflike she's been shot or whatever. So
we then realized that the police shotAnthony, who was visibly dead. I
mean, whole this whole movie ismultiple statements against in for for a community.
You know, this is a vthere's a lot of statements being said
in this movie. Yes, whatthey take Brianna out and she's handcuffed,

(01:15:02):
and I'm like, why the fuckare they arresting her? Have no idea,
I have no idea why They're startslike cannigging and I'm like, this
woman's a victim. Why is shehandcuffed? Can you ask questions? Please?
So then we immediately realize why becausethey're gaslighting the fuck out of her.
Absolutely, they put her in thecop car and this police officer gets
in the front seat and he basicallytells her her two options essentially are that

(01:15:26):
the story officer, Yeah, thisis what she has to choose from.
Right, the police officer went inAnthony was basically going to attack him,
so he had to shoot and killAnthony because he was violent and crazy.
Correct or, She tells the toothinggoes to jail for the rest of her
life. What ache like, Iit's disturbing. I'm so disturbing, and
I know this shit happens, andno, fucked up. It's so serio.

(01:15:49):

is calm. She's very calm. She is upset visibly, but she has
kept her composure. I feel likeshe's ties a state of shock as well.
So before she agrees to any ofthe stories that he's giving her,
she kind of gets she gets thatcalmness about her, and she asked.

(01:16:12):

goes, I want to see myselfin the mirror, in your rear view
mirror. I want to see myself. She's like, I'll say whatever you
want me to say. Just letme see myself. Just tell your mirror
a bit, I'll say whatever youwant to say. It's like fine,

the officers that are around. Thenhe walks over to the cop that's in
the car with her and ends uplike like the weird okay, because the
cop turns ins like who are youright? And we get this like voiceover
