Sollen Christen wählen gehen?
Anlässlich der US Wahl, sprechen wir in dieser Folge darüber, warum es wichtig ist, dass Christen wählen gehen und aktiv an der Gestaltung ihrer Gesellschaft teilnehmen. Drei zentrale Gründe:
- Suchet der Stadt Bestes: Die Bibel ermutigt uns, uns für das Wohl unserer Stadt einzusetzen (Jeremia 29,7). Wählen ist eine Möglichkeit, das Beste für unsere Gemeinschaft zu suchen und Verantwortung zu übernehmen.
- Salz der Erde sein: Jesus nennt uns „das Salz der Erde“ (Matthäus 5,13). Salz bewahrt und gibt Geschmack, und genauso sollen wir als Christen Einfluss auf die Welt um uns ausüben. Wählen ist eine Art, Werte und Gerechtigkeit in die Gesellschaft einzubringen.
- Botschafter Christi: Wir sind „Botschafter an Christi statt“ (2. Korinther 5,20) und tragen seine Prinzipien in die Welt. Durch Wählen gestalten wir mit und können Gottes Werte und Gerechtigkeit repräsentieren, auch politisch Einfluss nehmen, um Gutes zu bewirken.
