I'm Lina Abujamra, and this is today's single Christian. When
I wake up in the morning, I'm usually dying of thirst.
But instead of grabbing a glass of water, I make
the same mistake every single morning. I press the blue
button on my Keurig and take a sip of my coffee.
I'm okay for a while, but it doesn't take long
for my body to remind me I'm still thirsty and
nothing but water will do. When Jesus met the Samaritan woman,

he recognized that she was thirsty. She tried to quench
her thirst with human relationships and physical pleasure. She'd failed miserably.
Then she tried to ignore her thirst. But Jesus saw
right through her. He recognized her need and offered her
the only water that could satisfy her forever. He offered
her himself. Are you dying of thirst today? Do you

feel defeated by your wants and your needs? You don't
have to be. Your thirst is simply God's cry to
your heart. Turn to him and find all that you
need for resources to help you find satisfaction in life.
