This is today's single question, and I'm Lena Abujamra. I
remember a turning point in my life. I just ended
an engagement and my heart was broken. I couldn't understand
how a God who claimed to be so good, and
to whom I'd surrendered my life years before, would have
treated me this way. I was at a crossroad with
a decision to make. Would I surrender to God or
insist on my way? I still don't know how I

landed in Hosea, but I did. The Lord reached down
and whispered his words to me. Therefore, behold, I will
allure her and bring her into the wilderness, and speak
tenderly to her. And there I will give her her vineyards,
and make the valley of trouble a door of hope.
It dawned on me that God and His goodness had
allowed me to feel the pain in order to find
true hope, the only hope that lasts in him alone.
