Are you a thriving single Christian? Let me explain. I'm Lena,
and this is today's single Christian. We all long to
thrive to more than just survive, to be fruit bearing Christians,
whether single or married. I was looking through some old
teaching notes of mine and was reminded of a great
definition for thriving. Thriving is the ability to bear fruit
in all seasons, including winter, and maybe even in a drought.

The life that thrives is unaffected by circumstances. It rests
not on the external pressures in life, but on the
internal assurance that God is in control and that fruit
will eventually come no matter what. Thriving is less about
my present comfort, and more about my future assurance that
fruit is coming because I'm rooted in good soil and
cared for by the best vine dresser. Thriving is what
