Sábado 9 de diciembre de 1531. Se relata cómo apareció la perfecta doncella, Madre de Dios, Tonantzin, nuestra Madre, de renombre Guadalupe en el cerro del Tepeyac a un hombre macehual llamado Juan Diego.
Juan Diego sale triste de la casa del Obispo, no es escuchado. Le pide a la Madre del cielo envíe a los nobles a llevar su mensaje. “Yo, que soy Madre de Teotl Dios, In niinantzin, a ti como mensajero te envío”.
Juan Diego le cuenta a la Madre del cielo que el Obispo le pide una señal. “Bien está, hijo mío, el más amado… aquí mañana de nuevo vendrás, para que lleves al gran sacerdote la prueba…”.
Juan Diego lleva las flores preciosas que le da la Virgen celeste, Madre del verdadero Dios, Espera largo tiempo. El Obispo lo recibe. Juan Diego extiende su tilma ¡y sucede el milagro!
