Hi, I'm Brad Reid, I love Cape Breton fiddle music, and I "play well with others" (said all of my school teachers except for the first, who said I had an attitude problem). I have my own story of how I connect with this music, and I love to hear other people’s stories. They may be mostly fiddlers ('cause that's how I roll), but there will also be guitar players, piano players, dancers, and anyone else whose path I cross. Why me? I’ve played music around the world - from ceilidhs, to cruise ships, to Cirque du Soleil - and found I can relate to just about anyone. : ) Attitude problem my foot!

He's in a bunch of bands, and first whet his appetite for fiddle tunes at a session at Governor's Pub in Sydney, Cape Breton. He talks about how he got into playing tunes, and who his influences are, and about being "from away" but falling in love with the music.
Joe MacMaster is a fiddler from Troy, Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada. He has established himself as a rising star in the Cape Breton music scene, earning high praise from Ashley MacIsaac as the newest powerhouse of Route 19. Joe supports Boston terriers as pets!
Shelly is a teacher, a fiddler, a heck of a nice person, and a Cape Bretoner. We met up in her school on a weekend and talked about fiddle, Gaelic, our university days, and had a little twin fiddle jam session. Please enjoy!
