Ever feel like you’ve done the work, kept the faith, and still nothing’s moving? We dig into the quiet mechanics of progress to show why delay doesn’t mean denial; it means development. Through vivid storytelling—starting with a farmer’s seed that strengthens underground before it ever breaks the surface—we explore how real growth often happens where you can’t see it yet.

We walk through the mindset shift from speed to preparation and unpack the idea of divine delay as positioning rather than punishment. You’ll hear the airport metaphor that reframes waiting as necessary calibration: refueling, crew readiness, and clear skies before takeoff. From there, we break down five practical principles to help you stay grounded during the pause: shift frustration to formation, guard your inner dialogue, redefine progress beyond metrics, anchor in gratitude, and serve while you wait. Each principle comes to life with client stories, daily practices, and language you can use to keep spirit and strategy aligned.

By the end, you’ll have a toolkit for building unseen strength: declarations that shape belief, habits that steady your nervous system, and service that expands your capacity. Expect simple phrases that rewire your self-talk, examples of quiet progress like better boundaries and wiser choices, and a reminder that your life rises to the level of your language. When the breakthrough arrives—and it will—you won’t just receive the opportunity; you’ll be ready to sustain it.

If this message meets you in a season of waiting, press play, take notes, and share it with someone who needs the reminder. Subscribe for weekly coaching insights, leave a review to help others find the show, and tell us: which principle will you practice this week?

SPEAKER_01 (00:48):
Welcome to Transformative Living Radio,
where we explore the power ofintentional change for personal
growth and fulfillment.
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership
coach.
There's a story about a farmerwho planted a seed and watered
it faithfully every single day.
Week after week, he saw nothing,no sprout, no sign of life, just

(01:11):
dirt.
And of course, the people in thetown started to whisper maybe
it's dead, maybe he planted thewrong seed, or maybe it just
wasn't meant to grow.
But the farmer, he kept showingup anyway.
He watered, he tended, hebelieved.
Because he knew something theydidn't, that what was happening

(01:33):
beneath the soil was far moreimportant than what he could see
above it.
Roots started forming, strengthwas building, life was taking
shape in the silence.
And one morning, when the timewas ripe, the seed broke through
the surface, strong enough towithstand the winds that would
have destroyed it any sooner.

(01:55):
You see, life is a lot likethat.
Sometimes you're doingeverything right.
You're showing up, you'reputting in the work, you're
keeping the faith, but it stillfeels like nothing's happening.
You start to wonder, did I misssomething?
Am I doing something wrong?
But here's the truth I want youto hear today.

(02:15):
Delay doesn't mean denial, itmeans development.
You see, every promise has apause, every purpose has a
process, and sometimes the mostpowerful growth happens in the
unseen.
So if you've been waiting, hoping, maybe even doubting, I
want you to lean in today.

(02:36):
Because in today's episode, wewant to talk about how to find
peace, purpose, and power in thepause before the promise.
So grab a pin and a pad, and ifyou're ready, let's begin.
Hello and welcome to anotherempowering episode of
Transformative Living Radio.

(02:56):
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership
coach.
You know, we live in a worldthat glorifies speed.
Everything's about hustle, scale, momentum, the next goal,
the next deal, the nextmilestone.
We're taught that if it's nothappening fast, it's not
happening at all.

(03:18):
But life, I mean real spirituallife, doesn't move at the speed
of pressure.
It moves at the speed ofpreparation.
Now there's something sacredabout the seasons that's slow.
Because that's when God is doinghis best work behind the scenes,
aligning things, strengtheningyou, expanding your capacity to

(03:41):
carry the blessing that'salready yours.
Neville Goddard once said, quote, creation is finished.
Think about that.
What if your prayers havealready been answered and you're
just being prepared to hold it?

(04:01):
You see, that's what divinedelay really is.
It's not punishment, it'spositioning.
It's God saying, I'm not justgoing to give you what you want,
I'm going to make sure you'reready to receive it.
I once heard someone describedivine delay like a flight delay
at an airport.

(04:22):
At first you're frustrated.
You're watching the clock, pacing the terminal, wondering
why nothing's moving.
But what you can't see is thatthe plane you're waiting for is
being refueled, the crew isbeing prepared, and the weather
is being cleared for a safelanding.
You see, it's not that you'vebeen forgotten, it's that the

(04:43):
timing is being perfected.
The next leg of your journeyrequires conditions you can't
control.
So when life feels paused, don'tassume you've missed a flight.
You're just in the boarding areaof destiny, and your gate hasn't
been called yet.
So let's talk about what thismetaphor actually looks like in

(05:06):
everyday life.
Because I know it's easy to nodyour head and say, Yes, I get
it, but living it, well, that'swhere the growth actually
happens.
So let me give you fiveprinciples that can help you
stay grounded, faithful, andstrong in your season of
waiting.
Principle number one is to shiftfrustration to formation.

(05:29):
You see, when things don't moveas fast as we want, our first
instinct is to get frustrated.
We push harder, question more, and sometimes even beat
ourselves up.
But what if instead of asking, why is this happening to me, you
start asking, What is thisshaping in me?
Now I remember working with awoman who felt stuck waiting for

(05:51):
a promotion on her job.
It seemed that everyone on herteam seemed to be moving ahead,
but she wasn't.
During one of our coachingsessions, I challenged her by
saying, What if the situationisn't a punishment, but
preparation?
Now, with that, she began to useher time to grow her leadership
skills, to build her emotionalintelligence and mentor the team

(06:14):
around her.
Within six months, her bossresigned.
And guess who was ready to stepin without missing a beat?
You see, the pause in herpromotion was forming the person
who can handle the promise.
Principle number two is to guardyour inner dialogue.
You see, what you say toyourself in the waiting season

(06:36):
matters more than anythingbecause the words you repeat
become the beliefs you livefrom.
Now, if your inner dialogue oryour self-talk sounds like it's
too late or it'll never happenfor me, you're programming
yourself for defeat.
However, if you choose languagethat affirms faith, things like

(06:58):
I'm being prepared or everythingis unfolding in the right time
for me, you keep your spiritstrong while the outer world
catches up.
I tell my clients all the time, your life will rise to the level
of your language.
Try this the next time you findyourself spiraling into anxiety
and worry.
Simply pause and declare, everything I need is coming to

(07:21):
me in perfect timing.
I trust the unseen.
Now you want to say this even ifyou don't fully believe it yet,
because sometimes thedeclaration must come before the
conviction.
Now, principle number three isto redefine progress.
You see, we've been conditionedto believe progress means

(07:41):
movement, more followers, moremoney, more validation.
But sometimes real progress isquieter.
It's peace replacing panic, it'sself-control replacing
impulsiveness, it's restreplacing relentless hustle.
One of my clients once said, Ifeel stuck, nothing's happening.

(08:04):
But when we dug deeper, she wasmaking better decisions, setting
better boundaries, and saying nomore often to things that
drained her.
Now that wasn't stagnation, thatwas spiritual maturity.
And guess what?
Within months, her externalsuccess started to match her
inner strength.

(08:24):
So don't despise the smallshifts.
That's where the realtransformation takes root.
Now, principle number four is tostay in gratitude and not
grumbling.
Gratitude is your anchor in theuncertain seasons.
It reminds your spirit thatabundance is already in motion,

(08:45):
even when the evidence isinvisible.
Now, there's a story about a manwho had been praying for a home
for his family for years.
Instead of focusing on whathadn't happened yet, he started
thanking God daily for theperfect home already being
prepared.
Months later, the exact housethat he had been praying for

(09:06):
came on the market at an evenlower price than he imagined.
You see, gratitude didn't speedup the process, it aligned him
with it.
Principle number five is toserve while you wait.
When you feel stuck, yourpurpose still can move.
If the door in front of youhasn't opened yet, go build one

(09:27):
for someone else.
Now I once worked with a womanwho was frustrated, waiting for
her coaching business to takeoff.
However, instead of sitting infrustration, she started to
volunteer her time.
She began leading workshops ather church and began mentoring
other young women.
Within months, her name spread, her confidence grew, and clients

(09:49):
started finding her naturally.
You see, her service unlockedher stuck state.
When you bless others, you sendthe signal to the universe that
you're ready to handle more.
So, how are these principlesconnected, you might add?
Well, each of these principles, formation, mindset, gratitude,

(10:10):
service, they're not random.
They're the spiritual musclesthat get built in the waiting
room.
So when the promise finallyarrives, you're not fragile,
you're fortified.
You're not begging for newopportunities, you're attracting
them because your energy matcheswhat you've been praying for.
You see, waiting doesn't weakenyou, it wires you for your next

(10:32):
level.
Now, as we wrap up this episode,I want to talk to the dreamer in
you for a second.
You've worked hard, you'veprayed, you've planted, and you
watered.
And right now, it might feellike all you have to show for it
is the soil.
But hear me, the seed inside ofyou is not dead, it's

(10:56):
developing.
Every disappointment, everydelay, every detour, it's divine
choreography.
You see, life is not runninglate, it's right on schedule.
And so are you.
You're not behind, you're beingrefined.
And when the breakthrough comes, and it will, you'll look back

(11:17):
and say, if it hadn't come anysooner, I wouldn't have been
ready for it.
So breathe, stay faithful, andkeep showing up.
Because what's yours is notgone.
It's growing beneath thesurface.
Well, that's our show for today.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
