What if the breakthrough you've been waiting for hinges not on proving yourself worthy, but simply on your expectation that it will arrive? This profound question forms the cornerstone of our exploration into faith as expectancy—a transformative perspective that reframes faith from vague hoping to absolute knowing.

Drawing on spiritual wisdom and practical psychology, we explore how the inner state of certainty leads to tangible external change. Like the little girl who immediately packed for Disney World after her father's promise, true faith isn't calculating odds or seeking proof—it's preparing with complete conviction. This childlike certainty exemplifies Neville Goddard's teaching that "to desire a state is to have it," where our role is simply to live from the end result.

The power of the law of assumption reveals that whatever you assume to be true with feeling becomes your reality. This isn't magical thinking, but a spiritual principle that operates regardless of awareness. By vividly imagining desired outcomes fused with genuine feeling, you impress your subconscious mind, which then shapes your external world accordingly. As Goddard notes, "You don't attract what you want; you attract what you are conscious of being."

We share seven soul-aligned practices to activate expectant faith: living from the end, performing nightly revision rituals, using identity-based affirmations, anchoring with physical triggers, scripting your future, guarding your mental environment, and saturating your senses before sleep. These practices don't require spiritual expertise—just your willingness to shift from hoping to knowing.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Welcome to Transformative Living Radio,
where we explore the power ofintentional change for personal
growth and fulfillment.
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership
coach.
Have you ever stood at the edgeof a breakthrough and thought
maybe it's just not meant for me?
Maybe you've worked hard orvisualized, prayed and still the

(01:11):
door hasn't opened?
Or maybe you've stopped tryingaltogether, quietly surrendering
to the idea that other peopleget to live extraordinary lives
and you just watch from thesidelines.
But what if I told you that thedoor opens not when you prove
yourself, but when you expect itto?

(01:31):
In today's episode, we want toexplore the idea of faith is
expectancy.
We'll look at how faith isn'tjust about believing in
something vague or distant, butfaith is the deep inner knowing
that what you desire is alreadyyours.
And when that knowing becomesyour way of being, the world

(01:54):
outside has no choice but toconform.
So if you're ready to take yourpersonal faith to the next
level, grab a pin and a pad andlet's begin.
Hello and welcome to anotherempowering episode of
Transformative Living Radio.
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership

(02:14):
coach.
There's a story about a littlegirl who was told her family was
going to Disney World forvacation.
This little girl packed herbags on the same night, laid out
her Minnie Mouse shirt and wentto bed early.
When asked why was she ready soquickly, she said because daddy

(02:35):
said we were going.
Now that's faith.
You see, this little girlwasn't concerned about checking
the weather, or asking herfather had he booked a hotel, or
even calculating the odds thatthe trip wouldn't happen.
You see, true faith isexpectancy, not wishful thinking
, not crossing your fingers, butthe quiet, powerful certainty

(03:00):
that it's already done.
In his book Out of this World,Neville Goddard says to desire a
state is to have it, and ourrole is to live, breathe and
feel from that end.
Because the moment we assumethe feeling of a wish or desire,
fulfill we shift timelines.
The unseen begins to shapeitself around our inner world.

(03:25):
Imagine planting a seed in theground.
You water it, you place it inthe sun and you wait.
You're not hoping it grows, you're expecting it to grow.
You don't dig it up every dayto check, you simply trust the
process.
That's what real faith lookslike Not begging, not forcing,

(03:48):
but trusting, expecting andpreparing, but trusting,
expecting and preparing.
Neville Goddard puts it plainly.
Quote faith is loyalty to theunseen.
And Florence Schofield Shin, who is another spiritual pioneer
, said the game of life is agame of boomerangs.
Our thoughts, deed and wordsreturn to us sooner than later,

(04:09):
with astounding accuracy.
In other words, your innerstate, your thoughts, your
assumptions, your feelings shapethe world around you.
And if that's true, thenchanging your life begins with
changing your expectancy.
It is said that we get out oflife what we expect from life.

(04:29):
In the Bible, jesus is quotedas saying you have not because
you ask not.
And when you ask, you don'texpect to receive what you ask
for.
You see, it's not enough tosimply want something.
Wanting implies you don't haveit, and when you dwell in a
state of lack, that's exactlywhat you continue to experience.

(04:52):
The law of assumption says thatwhatever you assume to be true
with feeling becomes yourreality.
Now, this isn't theory.
It's a spiritual principle thatworks, regardless of whether
you are aware of it or not.
Here's what this means when youvividly imagine your desired
outcome and fuse that mentalpicture with the genuine feeling

(05:13):
of it already being true, andfuse that mental picture with
the genuine feeling of italready being true, you begin to
impress your subconscious mind, and your subconscious mind is
always creating, molding yourexternal world to match what you
believe and expect internally.
This is why Neville said you donot attract what you want.
You attract what you areconscious of being.

(05:34):
So if you're conscious of beingabundant, you assume abundance.
If you're conscious of beinghealed, you assume wholeness,
and your world rearranges itselfto mirror that inner assumption
.
Now, the power of feeling iswhat brings your imagination to
life.
It's the emotional chargebehind your thoughts that

(05:57):
activates the law of assumption.
Think of it like electricityflowing through a wire
Imagination is the wire, butfeeling is the current.
No feeling, no power.
Now, this isn't about forcingfake emotions.
It's about stepping into thatinner state of fulfillment, what
Neville calls living in the end.

(06:18):
You want to be loved.
Live from the feeling that youalready are.
You want prosperity.
Feel the ease and freedom as ifit's already yours.
Neville states that when wedwell in the emotional
experience of our desiresfulfilled, we set a divine

(06:39):
process in motion.
Our outer world must align withour inner state.
So, again, feeling is thesecret and the law of assumption
is the law that governs how ourrealities are formed.
So let's move on from thespiritual and inspirational to
something more practical.
Let me give you sevensoul-aligned practices you could

(07:02):
start today to help activateexpectant faith in your own life
.
Strategy number one is to livefrom the end.
Now Neville speaks about theconcept of living or behaving
from the standpoint of alreadyhaving what you desire.
Ask yourself how would I act, speak, feel and think if I

(07:22):
already possess what I desire?
Every morning, close your eyesand feel what it would feel like
to already have your desire.
Don't just see it, be in it.
What are you wearing, how areyou breathing?
And who might be texting you inthe moment congratulating you

(07:45):
for receiving what you desire.
Strategy number two is toperform what is known as a
nightly revision ritual.
Now, before you go to bed, goback over your day, revise
anything that didn't align withwho you truly are.
Neville calls this pruning thevine.
Does someone offend you?
Reimagine that moment with love.

(08:06):
Did you miss an opportunity?
See it turning into your favor.
You're not lying to yourself.
You're reshaping your reality.
Affirmations through identity isthe third strategy to activate
expectant faith.
You see, affirmations arepowerful when they are rooted in
identity, creating your own Iam.

(08:28):
Statements help you to connectwith the ideas and desires you
want to see manifested in yourlife.
Don't say I want to be wealthy.
Say I am the embodiment ofabundance.
Prosperity flows through me.
Strategy number four is toanchor with a trigger.
Anchoring is a powerfulstrategy for activating

(08:49):
expectancy.
Here's how you do it.
Pick one physical object itcould be a ring, a stone, a
bracelet and assign meaning toit.
Now, every time you touch it,anchor the feeling of your
desire fulfilled.
This gives your body a cue toshift into a state of expectancy
.

(09:09):
Strategy number five is toscript your future.
Write in the present tenseabout your life six months from
now.
Make it sensory, emotional,detailed.
This is not fiction, it'screation.
Now, strategy number six is toguard the gate of your mind.
You see, your subconscious mindis always listening.

(09:31):
So don't speak against yourdesires.
No more.
I never can catch a break orI'm always behind.
Would you water weeds in yourgarden?
No, so speak only what you wantto grow.
Finally, strategy number sevenis saturate your senses before

(09:52):
you sleep.
Now, as you drift into sleep, saturate your mind with the
scene of your wish fulfilled.
Okay, why, you might ask?
Because sleep is the gateway tothe subconscious mind.
If you plant seeds as you enterinto sleep, the seeds will grow
.
Now, as we wrap up this episode,I want to speak to the part of

(10:13):
you that still wonders is thisreally possible for me?
Well, the answer is yes, andit's not because I say so, but
because you are made of the samesubstance as the stars.
The force that spins theplanets lives in your breath.
Neville said you are alreadythat which you want to be, and

(10:36):
your refusal to believe this isthe only reason you do not see
it.
So what if, tonight, you laiddown every excuse, every doubt
and every story that said you'renot enough, you're not ready
and you're not worthy?
What if you dare to expect, because faith is expectancy.

(10:58):
Now, expectancy isn't arrogance, it's spiritual maturity.
Now, expectancy isn't arrogance, it's spiritual maturity, it's
saying I believe there's ahigher order.
I trust that I am supported andI am ready to show up, like
it's already done.
So here's my challenge.
What if, for one week, youexpected the best?

(11:20):
You walked into rooms knowingyou belong, you opened emails
expecting good news.
You spoke to yourself likesomeone whose words matter?
How would your life begin toshift?

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
