changing our paradigms, we canultimately change how we

(00:21):
experience life.
We share that a paradigm isessentially a set of beliefs,
values and assumptions thatshape how we perceive and
interact with the world aroundus.
In today's episode, we'll bediving into the power of
awareness what it is, why doesit matter and how we can bring
more of it into our daily lives.

(00:42):
So if you're ready, let's begin.
Hello and welcome to anotherepisode of Transformative Living
Radio.
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership
coach.
In today's episode, we want toexplore a fundamental aspect of

(01:02):
personal growth and personaltransformation awareness.
Now, in a nutshell, awareness isabout really noticing what's
happening inside of us and whatis happening all around us.
It's about being fully presentand fully engaged with our
thoughts, emotions, bodysensations and environment.

(01:23):
Now, unfortunately, so manypeople today are living their
lives in what Napoleon Hillrefers to as living in a trance,
meaning that their awareness isso consumed by their external
experiences that they spend mostof their waking lives drifting
instead of growing.
Now, awareness can be dividedinto two types external and

(01:49):
internal.
Now, external awareness is allabout what's happening around
you, like noticing the sounds, sights and interactions you
encounter every day.
Internal awareness, on the flipside, is about what's going on
inside your thoughts, yourfeelings, beliefs and physical
sensations.
Now, both types are crucial fortruly understanding ourselves

(02:13):
and our place in the world.
So why should we care aboutbecoming more self-aware, and
what are some of the benefits ofcultivating and developing this
awareness?
Well, self-awareness allows usto manage our emotions
effectively, leading tothoughtful responses instead of
impulsive reactions, resultingin stronger relationships and

(02:35):
better decision-making.
It also enhances ourself-confidence.
By understanding our strengthsand our weaknesses, we can build
on what we're good at and workon areas that need improvement,
boosting our overall self-esteem.
Now, by cultivating anddeveloping more self-awareness,
we also can make betterdecisions.

(02:56):
Understanding our values, ourgoals and our biases help us to
make choices that are trulyaligned with our true selves,
leading to more fulfillingoutcomes.
Developing greater empathy isalso a benefit of becoming more
self-aware.
Being aware of our emotions andexperiences allows us to better

(03:18):
understand and relate to others, fostering deeper connections
and compassion.
Finally, cultivating anddeveloping more awareness
reduces stress and anxiety.
Staying present and mindfulhelps us to stay grounded,
cutting down on worrying aboutthe past or the future.

(03:38):
Now let me give you severalexamples of the impact that
having more self-awareness canhave on personal and
professional success.
For example, sarah used to getreally anxious about social
situations.
It was so bad that she wouldavoid social interactions, to
the point that she found herselfalone with no real friends.

(04:00):
However, after she startedpracticing mindfulness and
journaling, she became moreaware of her triggers and her
feelings.
As a result, she learned how tomanage her anxiety much better
and enjoy socializing more.
She's been able to make morefriends and, as a result, she
feels more confident in herself.

(04:22):
Now Tom is a manager at a techcompany who often found himself
flying off the handle when hewas under pressure to meet
specific deadlines.
However, tom realized thatoftentimes he was reacting
harshly to his team's mistakes, that oftentimes he was reacting
harshly to his team's mistakesby seeking feedback and

(04:43):
reflecting on his values.
He became more self-aware andchanged his approach.
Now his team feels moresupported and their productivity
has skyrocketed.
Now these are just two examplesof the impact that having
self-awareness can have on yourpersonal and professional life.
