Your most brilliant ideas aren't random occurrences—they're your inner genius knocking at the door of consciousness. The question is: are you answering?

For over a century, the teachings of Ernest Holmes have illuminated how our minds create our reality. "Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it," Holmes wrote in 1919, articulating a principle that remains revolutionary today. When we understand this mirror-like quality of consciousness, we recognize that every thought plants seeds that eventually bear fruit in our experiences.

Many of us have become accidental creators, letting habitual thinking patterns direct our lives without intention. But what if you could harness this creative power deliberately? What if you could train your mind to generate solutions, opportunities, and fulfillment with greater consistency? This episode unpacks seven practical strategies to awaken your creative mind: choosing clear mental targets, crafting powerful affirmations, practicing visualization, monitoring inner dialogue, using physical movement to break mental blocks, consuming inspiring content, and ending each day with gratitude paired with intention.

The most transformative aspect of this wisdom isn't just understanding it intellectually—it's applying it consistently in everyday life. You don't need permission to be brilliant. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. The creative genius within you is already present, waiting for you to trust it and express it. Whether you're facing challenges in work, relationships, or personal growth, these principles offer both practical guidance and profound inspiration. Take these strategies to heart, apply them daily, and watch as your life begins to reflect the brilliance you've always carried within.

that felt like it came out ofnowhere, but you didn't act on

(00:22):
it.
Maybe you doubted yourself, orperhaps you told yourself it was
unrealistic, or maybe life justgot in the way?
Well, here's the truth.
That idea wasn't random.
That was your creative mind, your inner genius, knocking.
In today's episode, we want toexplore the timeless teachings

(00:42):
of Ernest Holmes from hisclassic book Creative Minds.
We'll also discuss how yourthoughts shape your world, how
to direct your imagination onpurpose and how to start using
spiritual principles in real,everyday ways.
We'll also share sevenpractical strategies that you
can apply immediately to releasemore of your inner genius in

(01:06):
the world.
So grab a pen and a pad and ifyou're ready, let's begin.
Hello and welcome to anotherempowering episode of
Transformative Living Radio.
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership
coach.
Over a hundred years ago, in1919, a spiritual pioneer named

(01:31):
Ernest Holmes shared a series ofideas that were considered
revolutionary at the time.
He taught that the mind, yourmind, is the most powerful tool
you have, that the thoughts youthink, the feelings you nurture.
Now, he wasn't just guessing.
He was giving us the hiddenspiritual technology of the ages

(02:00):
, the same truths that have beentaught quietly in mystery
schools, whispered by the sages, encoded in ancient texts and
now available to anyone ready tolisten.
And here's the miracle theseideas are just as true and just
as practical today as they wereback then.

(02:21):
In fact, they may be even morerelevant now than they've ever
been before.
Ernest Holmes taught that thereis one mind, a universal
intelligence, and that we're allusing it all the time, that the
creative mind of the universeis already within us.
Holmes writes quote life is amirror and will reflect back to

(02:45):
the thinker what he thinks intoit.
End quote.
Now that statement bearsrepeating again Life is a mirror
and will reflect back to thethinker what he thinks into it.
So here's the practicaltakeaway you are always thinking
and your thoughts are alwayscreating something.

(03:08):
Now, this doesn't mean we needto obsess over every stray
negative thought, but it doesmean we need to be more
intentional about what weconsistently think and feel.
Now imagine your mind is like aGPS.
You enter the destination, yourgoal, your dream, your vision.

(03:29):
The system starts to calculatethe route.
However, if you continuallychange your destination or doubt
the route, you'll remain stuck.
You see, your creative mindworks when you're clear, when
you're focused and, moreimportantly, when you believe.
Holmes said, quote we mustlearn to think in the right way.

(03:50):
Then we shall be able to usethis power for more definite
purposes, end quote.
So what does that mean and howdo we actually do that?
Well, let me share sevenpractical strategies that you
can start using today to awakenyour creative mind and tap into
your inner genius.

(04:12):
Strategy number one is to choosea clear mental target.
Start your day by choosing onegoal or one intention.
Now, don't be vague.
Be very specific.
Instead of saying I want to becreative, try saying I want to
write the opening paragraph ofmy new project.
Why this works?

(04:33):
Well, the mind needs claritywhen we speak.
A vague desire, it creates avague result.
So here's how to apply thisstrategy Each morning, write
down one clear intention foryour day.
This acts like an inner compass, pointing your thoughts and
your energy towards a specificoutcome.
Now here's a question I wantyou to reflect upon what's one

(04:55):
area in your life where clarityis missing.
What's one specific outcome youcould choose to focus your
creative energy on today?
Think about that Now.
Strategy number two is to usethe power of present tense
affirmations.
You see, affirmations are greattools when they are laced or
endowed with emotion.

(05:16):
Here's how it works.
Speak your vision as if it wasalready true.
For example, I am guided bydivine intelligence.
Creative ideas flow through meeasily.
Now let me tell you why thisworks.
You see, the subconscious mindresponds to repetition and
present tense language.

(05:37):
So here's how to apply it.
Pick three affirmations thatalign with your goals.
Say them out loud in the mirror, maybe in the morning and
definitely right before you goto bed.
But when you say youraffirmations, say them with
emotion and certainty.
So let me ask you this questionwhat affirmation could you

(05:57):
begin to use today that feelsboth bold and believable?
Think about that.
Strategy number three is do adaily five-minute visualization.
Now, visualization, again, isanother powerful tool when used
correctly.
Here's how to do it Sit quietly, close your eyes and see your

(06:20):
goal already completed.
Feel the result.
Feel the result.
Get emotionally involved withit.
Now why this works.
Well, holtz says imagination isthe creative force.
What we emotionally believe webegin to attract.
So here's how to apply thisstrategy.
Before starting your workday, pause for five minutes to

(06:43):
mentally rehearse your success.
Make the vision vivid, engageall of your senses.
By doing this, you create theexperience of your vision
becoming real to your nervoussystem.
Strategy number four is to watchyour inner dialogue.
Notice what you say to yourself.
When things go wrong, do youcriticize yourself or, course,

(07:05):
correct with compassion?
Now, why this works is becauseyour self-talk sets the tone for
your creative output.
Encourage your genius, don'tshut it down.
Here's how to apply it.
When you catch yourself innegative self-talk, pause, take
a deep breath.
Reframe the thought intosomething encouraging.

(07:26):
Here's an example.
I am learning, I am growing,I'm still moving forward.
Now here's something I want youto consider as you apply this
strategy.
What's one negative phrase yousay often, and what could you
replace it with?
Strategy number five is movewhen you're stuck.
The truth is, we all havemental blocks, and when you feel

(07:48):
mentally blocked, it's time totake a walk or to do something
physical to change yourenvironment.
Why this works is becausephysical movement disrupts stuck
mental patterns and allows newinspiration to flow.
So here's how to apply thisstrategy, schedule a creative
walk during your day.
Leave your cell phone behindand let your mind wander.

(08:11):
Ask yourself open-endedquestions like what idea is
trying to find me today?
The key here is to have a go-toreset activity when your energy
is low or when your creativeideas seem to stall.
Now strategy number six is tosurround yourself with what we
call high vibration content.
You see, what you read, whatyou listen to and even what you

(08:35):
watch matters, so it's importantthat you feed your mind
uplifting ideas, books andpodcasts like this one.
Why this works?
Well, your creative mind isshaped by what you expose it to.
You see, you've heard theexpression garbage in, garbage
out.
Well, goodness in, genius out.
Here's how to apply this.

(08:55):
Start by creating a creativeplaylist that could be books,
podcasts, music and quotes thatlight up your soul.
The idea is to consume a littleevery day to stay inspired.
Strategy number seven is to endthe day with gratitude and
intention.
You see, we often think thatcreativity is something that

(09:17):
happens during the day, whenwe're brainstorming, writing or
working.
However, our most powerfulcreative work often happens
while we sleep.
You see, the subconscious mindnever sleeps, and what we feed
it before bed is the content itworks with overnight.
So why does this work?

(09:38):
Well, gratitude softens thenervous system and primes the
subconscious mind for renewal.
When we pair gratitude withintention, we're actually
programming the mind to keepcreating, even while we rest.
Ernest Holmes wrote.
Quote as we plant daily, soshall we reap, end quote.
You see, our final thoughts ofthe day are like seeds, and they

(10:02):
will sprout in the silence ofthe night.
So here's how to apply thisstrategy Keep a gratitude
journal by your bed Each night, write three things that you're
grateful for and one idea or oneintention that you plan to
accomplish during tomorrow.
Then let it marinate all night, overnight, as you fall into
sleep.

(10:24):
Now, as we wrap up this episode,I want to leave you with this
thought If you've been doubtingyourself, if you've been hiding
your ideas, if you've beenwaiting for permission to be
brilliant, this is yourpermission.
You see, you were designed tothink, to create and to imagine.
No, you don't need to earn yourway into worthiness, you don't

(10:48):
need to have it all figured out.
You just need to start, startthinking better thoughts, start
visualizing better outcomes andstart trusting that your ideas
matter, because they do.
Let go of the old story, theone that says that you're not
ready or you're not enough andreplace it with this truth you

(11:11):
are a creative being, geniuslives inside you and it's time
to let it out.
