the conversation, All right.
So let's talk about.
You know, for those individualswho work a nine to five and
they're looking to, um, you knowthey have a business plan, a
business idea of, uh, somethingproduct or service that they
want to do, but they're workingnine to five and they're trying
to transition from nine to fiveto full time business, Um, tell

us some quick steps or sometools or tips to really help
them in that.

Man.
So first off, it does depend onwho you are right.
I'll speak to that individualfirst.
The one who does not have afamily, the one who does not
have kids, because that's superimportant.

It's very different.

Yeah, it's super
important Now if you don't have
a family, you don't haveresponsibility like children and
have a spouse, it's easier foryou to take a bigger risk like
quitting your job right, youdon't have to wait you don't
have to wait that long untilyour business right?
Uh, fire you from your job.
You don't have to wait.
Uh.
So I will say you know once yougot your business plan.

If you're individual with noresponsibility, once you got
your business plan, you have,you know, things in place
already and you're alreadymaking money that's.
That's the biggest thing forboth you know both individual or
people who are married and havekids.
Is you want to wait until youare actually making?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
money right, so just
don't quit your job yeah, just
like.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Oh, I'm running the
business now, yeah, wait, you
are making money, right.
Um, first thing, that's forboth.
And now, if you are thatindividual with no
responsibilities, you can't youhave more.
Uh, leeway right, because ifyou go ahead and, like you, just
lower down yourresponsibilities, that you do
have like with your bills right,save up three to six months of

living expenses yeah, I wasgonna say that, save some money.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Save some money
before you quit right yeah, save
some money.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
You want to have
three to six months of living
expenses you know for you don'thave, you don't have no
responsibilities like a spouseor kids, like three to six
months.
Three to six months willsuffice.
Right, go out, take that riskbecause, hey, if all else fail,
like you can just jump back intoa job.
But now, if you do have a family, right, you have kids and you

have a spouse uh, what you needto do is you for sure, for sure,
for sure?
I will say six to 12 months ofliving expenses saved up before
you even make that jump?
But when you save up that sixmonths to 12 months of living
expenses, don't just quit yet.
The best thing that you need todo is to go ahead and let your
business fire you from your jobis to go ahead and let your

I like to say fired because thereason why is I want my
business to fire me, right.
And when you think of gettingfired, it's like it's something
that has to be done, that'surgent, right.
It's something like boom, Ijust got fired, right.
But when I say it like that, Isay it like that because it's
your business.
That's saying hey, you're firedand that means, like you know,

it's to the point your businessis telling you like you're fired
from this job.

You cannot work here
anymore right, that's what I
mean by that.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yes, let your
business fire you from your job,
all right and so, but once yousave up, and then you, you have
your business plan andeverything.
Let your business fire you andsee I thought you was gonna have

I thought you were
gonna talk about a strategy for
getting more income.
Uh, as you transition, yeah, mythought process as an hr
professional.
I was thinking like maybe getunemployment If you get fired
from your job, then you can filefor unemployment and get that
unemployment money.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Look, that is a way,
but no, that's not the way that
I was saying.
But you know no let yourbusiness fire you from your job,
and then you know the greatthing about it, though when your
business fires you from yourjob like that means your
business is fully functioningand fully flowing.
And I just want to just say this, even to those of you who are
out there like for me right, Iwork a nine to five, and then I

also work five to nine.
I work nine to five and five tonine, so I work the first half
on, you know, working at my job,because that's providing income
for me and my family, right,paying off our bills.
But on top of that, when I getoff of work, I'm going back to
work on my business.
And I will say yeah working formyself, and that's how it's
(05:35):
going to be.
And now, when it comes to a joband this is the last thing I'll
say when it comes to a job,right, if you work in a job that
you don't like, a job is just ajob.
You know what I'm saying.
A job is just a job.
It's different from you alreadybeing in a career, but the
thing that I want to say aboutthat is go find you the job that
best fits for you to work yourbusiness as well.
So if your business is runninghas to only be ran in the
daytime, go ahead and get you anighttime job.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah, and you know
there's a lot of jobs and ways
to make monies now and thenAbsolutely Believe it or not.
You know doing delivery orders.
Yes, you know doing those.
I forgot what you call it those, those things with amazon where
you get affiliate marketingyeah, delivering the packages?
Okay, okay um, or even if it'sjust doing uber, right?
(06:17):
Yeah, people make a lot of, and, in fact, a lot of, uber
drivers.
They make a career out of that,yeah.
You know, so and then that, andthen that way you can have more
flexibility as to when you wantto work, versus you know
somebody saying, hey, you needto come between the hours of 10.

PM to three in the
morning, right yeah.
So find a job that works foryou.
Find something that works foryou Like they have remote jobs
too, where you can literallywork from home.
So you know it's a lot ofoptions out here In 2025, it's
so many options for you to worka job and work your business
until your business fire youfrom your job.
