Carolina Cárdenas es Contadora Pública con Maestría en Gestión de la Mercadotecnia por la Universidad de Yucatán. Fue Coordinadora General de Política Comunitaria y Directora de Turismo y Promoción Económica en el Ayuntamiento de Mérida en el periodo 2015-2018. Fue Secretaria de Turismo del gobierno estatal de 2001 a 2006. También fue Subsecretaria de Planeación Turística del Gobierno Federal de 2001 a 2009. Actualmente es Directora de operaciones de la conocida Hacienda San Ildefonso Teya, que a pocos años de haber "vuelto a la vida" ha dado albergue a grandes personalidades del mundo entero. En esta entrevista con Trascendi, Cárdenas nos platica su trayectoria y cómo llegó a involucrarse con proyectos culturales y sociales de grandes dimensiones.
