Nacido en Barranquilla-Colombia, el prestigioso cirujano plástico Enzo Rivera Citarella le ha dado mucho orgullo a Barranquilla por destacarse a nivel latinoamericano entre los mejores especialistas en esta rama de la medicina. Ha participado en un sinnúmero de congresos en el mundo presentando sus experiencias en Río de Janeiro, Brasil, donde reside con su familia. Realizó sus primeros estudios en el Colegio Americano hasta 1978. Posteriormente, ingresó a la Universidad del Norte donde culminó la carrera de Medicina. En 1988 se trasladó a Rio de Janeiro-Brasil con el objetivo de especializarse en el área de Cirugía Plástica. Para tal fin, y como requisito previo obligatorio, efectuó dos años de Cirugía General en la Universidad Federal Fluminense y en el Hospital Antonio Pedro de Niteroi, hasta finalizar exitosamente en 1989. Seguidamente, comenzó a trabajar en el Servicio de Cirugía Plástica de la Clínica privada del profesor Ivo Pitanguy, médico reconocido a nivel mundial, de quien aprendió la disciplina quirúrgica y hacer del ejercicio de la Cirugía Plástica un compromiso ético, científico, responsable, de cuidado y de salud, entre otras enseñanzas profundamente humanistas contenidas en su valioso legado. Ha sido para Dr. Enzo un motivo de orgullo haber podido llevar su experiencia a través de los años a varios países del mundo, así como publicar varios artículos científicos y diversos capítulos en numerosos libros de cirugía plástica de distintos autores.
