Nacido en la Ciudad de México en 1925, Ignacio López Tarso es un reconocido actor teatral y cinematográfico considerado uno de los más importantes de la escena mexicana del siglo XX. Estudió arte dramático en la Escuela de Arte Teatral del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, e inició su carrera de actor en la Compañía de Teatro Estudiantil Autónomo. Formó parte de la Época de Oro del cine mexicano, y compartió créditos con actores de la talla de Dolores del Río, Marga López, Carlos López Moctezuma, Elsa Aguirre, Katy Jurado, Pedro Armendáriz y María Félix, entre otros. El más de medio centenar de películas en el que ha participado lo han vuelto un imprescindible de la actuación en México.
