Living with both autism and cerebral palsy, Amy has navigated the legal world with resilience and integrity. But when she crossed paths with convicted fraudster Megan Stoner, her life was thrown into chaos.

Megan Stoner—who has a long, documented history of impersonating political figures and scamming victims across the country—first found Amy through online legal forums while publicly facing jail time. She presented herself as a high-level political consultant with ties to Mike Pence and other Indiana officials, sharing carefully staged photos to sell the illusion. In truth, Stoner’s experience was built on a foundation of falsified credentials, forged checks, and volunteer roles she exaggerated into fabricated careers.

Under the guise of a fake government program, Megan convinced Amy to provide extensive legal and strategic work—promising over $20,000 in compensation that would never come. At one point, Amy even referred Megan to one of the most powerful attorneys in Georgia. Megan responded by sending him a dead check, a tactic she’s used before to defraud political campaigns, local businesses, and individuals.

As the lies unraveled, Amy lost everything—her home, financial stability, and custody of her older children. But through it all, she has remained remarkably composed, still fighting for justice, still speaking truth, and still refusing to be silenced.

This episode sheds light not only on Megan Stoner’s disturbing pattern of deception—impersonating legal professionals, exploiting political spaces, and scamming those who tried to help her—but also on the incredible courage of Amy, who is now rebuilding her life from the wreckage left by someone else’s lies.
