Speaker 1 (00:00):
So you got to do your little warm-up.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Me, me, me, me me.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
I'm ready, all right, in three, two.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Do you love to travel ?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Do you love road trips?

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Do you love finding hidden treasures in towns all
over the USA?
Hi, I'm Joshua.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
And I'm Craig.
Welcome to Treasures of OurTown.
It's the podcast that exploresthe unique and charming towns
scattered throughout the UnitedStates.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Guided by our love for location-based games like
geocaching, join us as weventure into some of the
country's most intriguingdestinations, uncovering hidden
gems and local secrets along theway and on today's episode, no
guests, it is just josh andmyself.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
That's it.
But we're gonna get josh.
We've done some research, andwe've done some virtual research
and our own physical researchas well about the top 10
adventure lab locations in thegood old us of a yes, I'm
excited.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm excited to talk about adventure labs again.
Remember we did have a showabout adventure labs when we
talked about carl's.
Remember that, that german uhamusement park that's right,
that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
There's germans are on there too.
The two germans that were good, they were really good.
It was hard because he had anamerican accent, an australian
accent and the german accent.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
So, yeah, that was good, that was good yes, but
this time we are talking aboutadventure labs in the united
states, which is what thispodcast is really focused on and
, let's be honest as well, it'sfocused because we use our
location-based games likegeocaching, adventure labs, that
sort of thing to find theselocal areas.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
And what better place I'm going to say it now, josh
the adventure labs we're talkingabout today.
They're the ones that we enjoy, they're the ones that we really
like, you know, they're theones that get us to those
locations that we wouldn'tordinarily go to if it wasn't
for the adventure lab itself.
So that's what I like about it.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah, it's, that's so true, and it's always like a
bonus because you know a lot ofthese places are places you'd
want to visit anyway, but itkind of gives you even a little
bit more incentive to want tovisit them as well.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Exactly exactly.
But before we start, as always,Josh, we've got to get through
our delays and upgrades.
Now it has been a while sincewe've spoken, because I got back
from the good old UK recently,so, yeah, so I spoke to you
before I went away, then I wentaway on my trip and then I've
come back again now.
So I'm going to say, firstly,my upgrade, okay, and my upgrade

(02:30):
.
My upgrade for this time isliterally physical upgrades on a
plane like they are.
I'm no longer a Jack Dawson.
I will say that I'm up in thepremier premium, not first class
, because it's international.
It's an international flight,so not first class, not the lay
flat bit, right, but closeenough to it, whereby there's

(02:51):
two chairs to the aisle ratherthan the three like you normally
get.
You know what I mean.
So I get the full room there, the chair legs back, properly.
I get my own.
You get your own meal with realknives and forks, josh.
Oh, that's real knives andforks, like it's really, really
cool.
So hot meals, drinks, you nameit.
Yeah, so that's my.

(03:11):
I got two, and not just justflying over there to the uk, but
flying back as well.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I got double upgrades , double upgrades, mate I feel
like you get upgraded all thetime.
It's not even special anymore.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
I feel like almost every time there is a reason
behind it, and that's becauseI'm on the same ticket as my
wife and she's the uh, she's the, the, what they call 1k
premiere like, because she flieseverywhere.
In actual fact, she's flyingout this weekend, uh, for a
whole week for work, so sheflies everywhere.
She does, like you know, hundreds of thousands of miles
every single year, and so theyupgrade her and then anyone with

(03:47):
her on the ticket as well.
So that's why.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, that's why those middle class seats,
they're worth it, especially oninternational flights, because
apparently United is calledPremier Plus, but on Delta it's
called Comfort Plus.
And you know what I like tocall it, craig?
I like to call it the poorman's first class it really is.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
It really is.
Um, yeah, because it does kindof feel like you're in a real
the upper salon of the aircraft.
Those seats, they're just gold, you know.
They're so wide for a big ass,big butt guy like me and, yeah,
I really enjoy them.
I really enjoy them, mate.
So there you go.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
So that was your upgrade.
Let's go to your delay.
Let's just let's get you out ofthe way.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
All right, let's get in.
The delay is that I'm stillgetting trying to get scam
messages coming through, becausemy car is still for sale on,
but now it's on sale on facebookas well, and so you get these
scammers come through facebooksaying um, and people out there,
if you're listening to this andyou've got something for sale
on facebook, you probably havethe same thing.
Uh, you get these messages, josh, I'm not sure if you've
seen them before and all they dois they come through saying oh,

(04:57):
you've breached the rules offacebook and your account's
going to be deleted unless youclick this link.
Unless you click this link, anduh, and you know, and, and fill
out the forms and all that sortof rubbish, like you've
breached some sort of rules, andI'm like no, I don't fall for
this sort of rubbish.
So that's what's been happeningwith my delay.
I'm just sick of them.
I'll be honest.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I'm just sick.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I'm like I don't even open them anymore.
I can see when they comethrough and just archive, just
delete.
That's so frustrating how longhas it been for sale now like
three weeks?
Yeah, I think three weeks nowin total, so, but only only for
a week.
Uh, on actual on facebookmarketplace itself.
I've had it on other car saleplaces as well, so, but the
facebook marketplace is this isprobably it's a fair, decent

(05:39):
place to actually sell stuff.
I will say that, yeah, a lot ofpeople do look through facebook
marketplace to do I mean, whathave you bought through facebook
marketplace?

Speaker 2 (05:47):
oh, I've bought my peewee herman doll exactly
that's true story.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I did buy my peewee through facebook marketplace.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
well, we hope that this delay will someday soon be
an upgrade.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yes, and it will be, it will and it will be an
upgrade.
I'll say that.
I won't say any further, Iwon't jinx it, but there's
something coming up in the nextfour weeks that will be
upgrading.
So I really want to sell itwithin the next four weeks, just
saying yeah, for sure, for sure.
What about you, mate?
What about?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
you?
What about you?
Enough of me.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Well, I have not been gallivanting around europe and
I know I wish I had been um and,you know, got back from germany
yes, we could do it.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
You know, we could do a whole show about your trip,
but we can't because it's not ait's not a us thing.
You know, if you want to hear alittle bit about craig's trip,
uh, you can listen to thisweek's geocaching podcast,
because they you talked about iton there for a little bit about
what?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
yeah, exactly a little bit, just a small amount.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yes um my upgrade.
Well, a couple weeks ago, itwas my birthday.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yes, it was and did you like that little shout out?
Made it before the uh, beforethe podcast it was actually on
the podcast release date too.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I know, that's how cool that was yeah, I downloaded
the podcast because I alwayslisten to the podcast when it
comes out, because I, I, yeah, Ilike to listen to you know what
we said and relive it.
And yeah, it was that verymorning on my birthday.
I went to my car ready tocommute to work and there's your
voice wishing me happy birthday.

(07:29):
So that was really, that wasreally cool.
So and I just want to thank, thank everyone who reached out
to me and wished me a happybirthday on, like different
different social media platforms.
Um, that made my day, and andmy birthday was on a Monday.
So, um, you know, Monday, Idon't know.
So the following weekend, whichwas last weekend, Minnesota boy

(07:52):
and I, Tim Larson, who we'vehad all year.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
That you all know.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
We decided, you know, like he was home, and I was
like, hey, what are you doing?
He's like, no, I'm just kind ofhanging out at home and I was
like, hey, let's, do you want todo something?
And we hanging out at home andI was like, hey, let's, do you
want, you want to do something?
And we thought like, are thereany adventure?
labs you want to do and he'slike, yeah, I don't think so.
And he was geocaching in themorning and I said, hey, you
know where I wanted to go for mybirthday was this new place

(08:15):
that they that they opened um inminneapolis called putt shack
craig, have you heard?

Speaker 1 (08:22):
of putt shack well, only after your messages towards
me saying look where we aredrinking beer and and playing
putt putt golf or mini golf, whenever you want to call it.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
So yeah, that's the only time I've heard of it, yeah
okay, putt shack, it is anational chain, by the way, so,
uh, we're not sponsored by puttshack, but putt jack, if you're
listening.
Uh, putt shack is a yes, it'san indoor mini golf thing.
But get this craig.
Yeah, the technology is amazingbecause you don't have to keep

(08:54):
score.
It keeps score for for you.
There's like little sensors inthe ball and in the in the
putting greens or whatever, and, yeah, it keeps track of score
for you so you can just have adrink in your hand the whole
time and enjoy and you don'thave to worry about it.
And nobody can cheat.
And I was gonna say no cheating.
No, there's no cheating, and itwas just we did 18 holes and it

(09:19):
was so cool and so much fun.
So, um highly recommend puttshack for all your I don't know
entertainment needs yeah or your, your, uh, special special days
or special events.
So that was, that was a ton offun as I was trying to think,
okay, what was really great?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
um putt shack that's my upgrade for this week and I
love, I love some golf.
Yeah, quick question for you.
I know you do, but in sayingthat I beat you, I beat you hard
too.
When we're down in florida minigolf um, that's my claim to
fame, only because I don't beatyou at anything else normally,
like you know, axe throwingwhatever we've heard about that
is sort of I was so good at axethrowing I could.

(10:01):
I was surprised myself yeah you,you surprised both tim and I,
uh, but speaking, did you beattim?
Did tim beat you?
Who won?
Who won?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I won the first round .
Okay, he won the second roundand then we didn't have time for
a rubber match, so what aboutoverall?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
any overall then?
Oh, I don't think we looked atit, doesn't?

Speaker 2 (10:21):
tell oh, I think he beat me overall because we were
very close the first round, so Ithink he did yeah overall.
But overall and, yeah, he gotthe less strokes overall well,
actually it's interesting thatputt check it's a little bit
different.
They do keep track of strokes, but they keep track of points,
because there's several like ohthings.

(10:44):
So there's even like, if youhit it into like a hazard area,
it could be like minus 20 pointsand like so.
Or if you get a hole in one,you get these like bonuses and
it's so.
It's all like point based, it'snot um stroke based.
So that was kind of somethingdifferent and unique about it,
wow yeah, that's.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
That's really cool, and obviously then as well
because it keeps the scores foryou.
So, yeah, there's no cheating.
I like it, it was really coolnext time I'm in, next time
we're together, we're gonna haveto look up a uh, a putt check.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
I'm just saying yeah, bro, for sure have to go to
absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
All right, josh, we're 11 minutes in now, so
we're gonna get into it.
We're gonna talk aboutadventure labs.
Um, now I'm going to tell you.
If people listen to this and, let's be honest, there may be a
couple now listening to this andthey don't know what adventure
labs are, that's true.
So a quick rundown, people, ofwhat an adventure lab is.
It is an app on your phone inwhich takes you to different
locations, and this is exactlyword for word.

(11:39):
I got it from chat gpt itself, just ready for this.
An adventure lab is a type ofgeocaching experience that
allows players to explorespecific locations while
answering questions orcompleting challenges at various
stages.
Unlike traditional geocaches, which typically involve finding
a physical container, adventurelabs focus on the journey and
interaction with the environment.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Wow, I think that's a really good's, really good
outcome that is really good andit is connected to, like a geo,
the geocaching account, theofficial geocaching account.
So when you essentially get afind with an adventure lab, you
also get a find on yourgeocaching profile, which even
makes for us geocachers makes iteven more of an incentive to do

(12:23):
them.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
We do love our numbers.
Now, the key features and thekey takeaways are number one
it's location-based, so playersvisit a designated area or
location, often with historical, cultural or scenic significance
, which is what we like.
Number two is a digitalinteraction, so they use your
mobile phone smart appssmartphones on a mobile app to

(12:45):
access the clues, answerquestions or complete tasks,
whatever you need to do at thelocations.
And then it's a number three isflexible format, and that is
adventure.
Labs can vary in length, complexity, allowing for
tailored experience based on thearea and the theme of the
actual adventure as well.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
So you can get just a four points, but if a number of
finds only, or you can actuallybe taken on a full adventure,
josh as well, which is what itis cool too, because there's
less rules, uh, for adventurelabs where with geocaching, with
physical containers, there's alot more rules there's several
adventure labs that are insidelocations and so they're not

(13:23):
quite as limited, which is kindof, uh, just a really neat
feature and there's no likereview process.
So the people that build theseAdventure Lab experiences they
don't have to have them approvedby anybody, they can just
create them and put them up onthe Adventure Lab app.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
And just like our other game as well, munzee, and
that is, it uses like ageofencing sort of style.
So make sure the device inwhich you're using is inside a
particular regional area beforeit actually opens up that
adventure as well.
So that's pretty cool.
But overall, josh, you readyfor this?
I've got some statistics foryou.
Number one there are over70,000 adventures in 180 plus

(14:03):
countries, and they range fromone find per adventure to 10
finds per adventure, so you canget like a 10 find adventure lab
, or you can get one fineadventure lab too so they vary,
that's cool.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Think about that, craig.
That's if you want to averageit out, because some are five,
some are five, some are ten.
Most are five let's be realmost of five but that's like
almost a half a million, yeah, locations look at, you, look at
you doing math and you know I'mproud, I'm proud half a million

(14:36):
locations that's, that's amazingthat's really cool and it's so
cool because this game, thisadventure lab game, has been
it's created by the geocachingcommunity, which is just really
cool.
Like these have been created byreal people.
Not, it's not anything, you know, that was created by a robot or
some company or company, actualplayers that know about these

(15:01):
locations that a real humanbeing that thinks this
location's cool has built thesethings, which I think is really
cool.
I think people that start likeplaying geocaching or any
location based game, they justthink it's like, oh, it's
something that was created likea robot or you know it's like,
but these were created by humanbeings, and so I think that's
just really, if you really thinkabout that, that's pretty

(15:22):
awesome it is.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
It is better than, especially when you say, about
robots or companies, becausethey can put their own spin on
things.
But just for more informationtoo, which I learned today
myself while doing the research, josh, that is the listed
Adventure Lab.
So if you open your AdventureLab app itself on your phone, if
it's got the little blue dot, then that's an Adventure Lab.
Point right, the little bluedot.
If it's got a little red thumbsup next to it, it means it's

(15:51):
actually a highly favorite ofone another.
It's got over 4.6 or 4.7 out of5 rating.
Uh, for that adventure.
So you get those like thehighly first year little
favorite mark.
You know, um, normal labsthemselves are just the plain
blue dot by itself.
Uh, new labs that are brand new, um, they're signified by a
white star on a blue dot andthen there is paid for like
sponsored ones, and they arepurple in color and they have a

(16:11):
white star on them too, butthey're purple, not the blue.
So you know that they're asponsored uh deal.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
So tourism boards and things like that can reach out
to geocachingcom and and and getan adventure lab set for
themselves to put out so toattract people well, when we
last time we talked about this, the carl's amusement park, that
was a sponsored one and reallyhigh quality, because they were
able to also create, createphysical, like almost geocache
type containers to reveal thethe word.

(16:39):
And also another one, I knowthat is a sponsored one that I'd
like to do someday is HolidayWorld, which is in Santa Claus,
indiana, oh, which is anamusement park as well.
And they have a sponsoredAdventure Lab inside their park,
which I think is pretty cool, that's really cool.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Now, josh, people might be saying and asking as
well, these two guys, what dothey know?
Like, what do they know?
Who are they to talk about it?
You know, I mean, let's, uh,let's tell the people themselves
, uh, our little statistics, have you got yours ready to go?

Speaker 2 (17:14):
you have more statistics than I yes, because I
didn't have full access to thestatistic website project gc,
that's.
Statistic website Project GC.
That's the one.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Premium member.
I am a proud premium member ofProject GC, so mine itself I was
going to say mine itself I'vegot ready for this, josh.
3,206.
Lab finds 3,206 lab finds.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
What have you got?
That's 3,206 locations.
Think about that.
Yeah, that's a lot of places.
That's a lot of places.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
That's a lot of places, exactly I have a measly
1,890 lab finds that's stilldecent.
Now I'll let you know as well, and that is if anyone comes to
the good old Geo Woodstock nextyear in West Virginia.
They've just put outia, we've.
They've just put out russia.
They've just put out like thisfull, uh, geo art or adventure

(18:08):
lab art, and it's the shape ofwest virginia itself and you can
get all the finds in oneparking lot but anyway that's
another.
So if you want to really boostyour numbers, that's yeah, you
get those sort of ones.
You know there's.
There's ones all over thecountry like that too.
So yes, um, but yeah, mineitself, because I've got over
12,000 fines now.
So mine make up 25 of myoverall geocaching fines 25

(18:31):
that's a lot because you havewhat like.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
How many geocaching?

Speaker 1 (18:35):
12, just over 12,000, 12, 12 and a half thousand now.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
So yeah, yeah so for me, I did the math not in my
head.
I had to use a calculator forthis one, but for me it is 23
percent of my total fine, sojust a little bit less than you.
We're close, though, but closein percentage.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
But think about it every that means every fourth
fine that we have is anadventure lab very true, very
true now these these statisticsI got from project gc itself
being a premium member.
Um, I love these statisticsthat they give you.
So far, josh, out of the 366days of the year, I've found a

(19:14):
lab cache, at least on 194 daysout of the 366.
Nice, then.
My most finds have been in themonth of may, and mostly on a
saturday, so it makes sense, onthe weekend.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
A May, on Saturday, that's Geo Woodstock, basically.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Yeah, it is, actually it is, it is.
So there you go.
All right, the other thing I'mgoing to say is what makes a
good adventure lab?
In your opinion, in your mind, what are we looking for when we
say about these next 10 thatwe're going to give people?
What are we looking at?

Speaker 2 (19:45):
What are we looking for when we say about these next
10 that we're going to givepeople?
What are we looking at?
I think for me, what makes agreat Adventure Lab is a really
cool location that typically Iwouldn't go otherwise.
So it's something like Idiscover.
It helps me discover it, likethis podcast is all about

(20:07):
discover it.
Like, like um, this podcast isall about it.
It's really a tour guide toguide you to some places that
you wouldn't go maybe otherwise, and in my list I have example
of a couple of them that I knowI wouldn't have visited those
places had there not been anadventure lab there.
So, um, another thing I likeabout them is, uh, if they're,
if they're creative, if theyreally use the environment that
they're in, yes, to have um tohave a question that you know,

(20:31):
that makes sense, and that theanswer has something to do with
the culture or the history ofthe location.
That isn't just like it's notjust random, but it's.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
You're actually like kind of learning something
because you're forced to learnit exactly, you're forced to
actually read the history ofthat particular location where
you're at.
And that's one of my things too, because I'm a hundred percent
with you when it comes to thelocations.
The type of location is thereason why they're taking you to
that location, and, of course,it's got to be some sort of
educational purposes, you know.
But if you get to a location, there's nothing worse.

(21:01):
You get to a location you'relike, oh wow, this place is
amazing.
Look at this beautiful castlefort.
Whatever you are, the locationis absolutely amazing.
And then the question is whatthree numbers are on the plate,
on the footpath or the sidewalk?
Come on, come on.
You already know I'm herebecause it's geofenced.

(21:22):
Do you know what I mean?
So give us a question that'srelated to the actual specific
topic of the adventure lab.
That's just my opinion.
These are just my opinions.
You know, they're not everyone.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
The reason people do that is because they're very
much in the geocaching mindset.
Yes, exactly, because for avirtual cache you have to
somehow prove you were there, and the way you prove is some.
It can be some random question, but you're right, this is
geofence.
So obviously you're herebecause your phone is there,

(21:54):
unless you cheat.
If you're using cheating apps, which that's no fun, what's the
point?

Speaker 1 (21:57):
And even still, you can still get away with that by
asking a question that'sspecific to the location in
terms of, but learning, you knowwhat I mean.
Rather, by asking a questionthat's specific to the location
in terms of learning you knowwhat I mean rather than just you
know the plate on the ground orthe numbers on the local power
pole, you know, I've seen thosequite a bit too.
It's like, you know, my phoneknows I'm here.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
You know it's okay, it's okay.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
But you're right though.
Yeah, it's created by peoplethat are actually in more of a
geocaching mindset.
You know, to prove that you'rehere beforehand, you don't need
to with adventure loads becauseof the geofencing.
So that makes sense.
That makes sense.
And the other thing I will say,Josh as well, and that is the
questions themselves can't betoo convoluted.
And what I mean by that is makethem pretty straightforward.

(22:36):
Even if you're readingsomething and it says the fourth
line, third word, whatever, okay, I'm happy to to do that,
as long as it makes me read andI'm part of it, um, not too
convoluted, like you know, whatwas this person thinking when
they did this?
It's like, oh, I don't know,and then you don't even get the
right, because you've got to getthe correct spelling, you've
got to get the correctpunctuation.
You know that sort of thing too.

(22:57):
So, yeah, you've got toremember, people, these aren't
d5s, you know.
I mean, you know typicallyfives, typically fours.
These are supposed to be almostone ones.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
You know I mean.
So, yeah, I tell you it'snothing more frustrating than
being at the location a reallycool location and then you keep
on putting in the answer and itjust keeps on telling you you're
wrong and a lot of them likethey.
If they're sequential, theydon't let you continue until
you've answered it correctly.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Yeah, that's right.
That reminds me.
Then you got me onto my otherone, and that is sequential.
I'm happy with sequential, andif people don't understand what
it means is that you need to doone before the other, before the
other before the other beforeit unlocks the others, or the
non-sequential ones, unlocks allfive and you can do them in
whatever order you want.
Put them in non-sequentialorder unless unless josh is a

(23:46):
reason to have them sequential.
in other words, if you'retelling a story and they've got
to be sequential for that story, and being sequential makes the
person go along a particularpath because there might be a
bonus cash at the end of it, andit puts them literally where
the bonus cash is going to be,almost you know, I mean yeah,
that makes sense, but uh, butwhen?
Otherwise, yeah, put itnon-sequential, so people can
just do it at their own pace, you know for sure.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
So we are going to share our top 10 adventure lab
locations top 10.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
And for me, for me, craig yep for my five.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
We each have five.
I have five, you have five yeahI personally have been to every
single one of these of these.
I have firsthand knowledge ofthese adventure labs.
How about you?

Speaker 1 (24:34):
uh, every single one of mine, let me see.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Let me see because some of them I have, that's okay
one, one, I'm looking throughone, two, three.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Yeah, four out of the five for me, okay, four out of
the five.
So, yeah, because I was tryingto do that too.
I'll be honest with you.
I tried to do that as well, like you know, because I can
then speak for it, and you know, actually, from being there,
from doing it myself.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
So yeah, for sure.
Did you want to go first, mate?

Speaker 1 (24:56):
and okay, I'll start.
I'll start now as well.
These are in no particularorder um at all for me
personally, I'm not sure you,but mine are in no particular
order as such, or did you putyours in order?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
I kind of put mine in order.
Oh, you would my last, like mylast couple, I think, are let me
see.
He's looking through.
Oh gosh, there are somehonorable mentions.
That didn't make it.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Maybe, oh, I got.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
How about this?
How about we do honorablementions for the patrons?

Speaker 1 (25:28):
There you go.
Patron only honorable mention, there you go, yeah, perfect.
We always love our patrons, though, yeah, we must give them
something extra.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
Okay, all right.
Honorable mentions.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
I'm going to start with mine now.
I'm going to really murder thisname of mine.
I'm telling you now I don'tdone yet.
It's in New Orleans, inLouisiana, it is called.
I'm going to murder it VokariVampires.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
I think that's pretty good.
It's by.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Cajun Caches.
It's pretty good.
It's by Cajun Caches.
It's a five-stagenon-sequential.
It's currently rated 4.8 out of384 finds.
Now, what people don'tunderstand is that, uh, there's
4.8 rating.
You've got to get that ready.
You've got to do all five ofthese stages in order to be able
to rate it so you can't do fourright, won't you let it rate it

(26:15):
?
And the 384 are the peopletotal number of people who've
completed all five stages.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
So that's pretty cool yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
So what this one's about, though, josh, basically
is it takes you through the thevampire, dark, deep history of
the New Orleans, and it's moreof the New Orleans downtown area
.
So you can imagine it, joshYou're in New Orleans with all
the whole music and the festivaland everything as well, but
then deep down there's a darkside to New Orleans and there's
vampires that literally sitthere and wait for people to get

(26:44):
too drunk and then they go outand have their way with you.
So I can imagine doing this oneat night.
I'll say that, and it's, as Isaid before, it's in the
downtown French Quarter sort ofarea.
So it looked really, reallycool and I've put this one on my
bucket list after researching.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Have you been to the French Quarter ever before?

Speaker 1 (27:02):
No, I had to drive past it this year just gone.
Yes, when we went down to BamaRama remember that was the
closest I got yeah, yeah, I hadto miss it.
I had to drive straight past itbecause I was busy.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
It is a cool.
It is a very cool place tovisit and yeah, the French
Quarter, bourbon Street, issomething you have to experience
, even though it smells likeurine, but you got to visit once
.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Once, once and get all the beads.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
And you know the spooky factor too.
I don't know if any of thecemeteries are a part of this,
but like downtown, not too farfrom Bourbon Street, are these
cemeteries, and they're allbecause of the elevation of New
Orleans, which is very lowelevation all the graves are
above ground, above ground Inthese tombs, and you get a tour

(27:53):
guide and you can tour theseincredible, incredible
graveyards with famous peopleand yeah, it's all voodoo and
creepy stuff, but yeah, it's aneat place to visit and I can
see why this one is rated sohigh yeah, yeah, all right, mike
, go on to your first one nowall right, my first one is oh, I

(28:15):
hate to bring this up,especially as a minnesota
vikings fan, and if you don'tknow, minnesota vikings, nfl
football, nfl football.
But mine is at Lambeau Field inGreen Bay, wisconsin, which is
the home of the Green BayPackers oh, the dreaded rival of

(28:38):
the Minnesota Vikings.
But, craig, I was there forwork and I was really excited
because in Green bay, wisconsin,we've talked about before these
the geocack, the geocackbenchmarks you and I found one
together in florida yes, um, andand in arizona we've completed

(28:59):
it with tim, yeah, with tim aswell, well, wait, you haven't
completed it because you haven'tgot this one.
No, okay, no, I haven't got thatone so this is the wisconsin
one, and so I was like, cool,I'll get the geocat benchmark.
But I had some extra time so Iwas like I've never been to or
seen Lambeau Field and it isquite a sight to see, it's
amazing.
It's kind of open to the public, the stadium is.

(29:21):
You can walk right like on aregular.
I think I went there on just atuesday afternoon.
You walk in and there's justgigantic.
You know the lambo.
It's the lambo trophy, like thetrophy that they win when you
win the super bowl.
They have got a giant versionof it.
It's like the world's largesttrophy and of course, it's a
adventure lab stage.
And then outside of the stadiumthere are all these statues of

(29:44):
obviously like packer playersthrough history.
And do you know what I meanwhen I say the lambo leap?
Do you know what I mean by that?
no, the lambo leap is likeanytime a green bay packer
scores a touchdown, they jumpinto the crowd and the people
catch, catch the football player.
And so there's a, there's astatue, that where you can leap,

(30:05):
like like.
You can leap into the crowd andthe statue people, like, hold
you up oh, wow yeah, it's like acool photo yeah, cool, cool
photo op.
And of course, that's alsoadventure lab stage.
And another thing cool thingabout lambo field is that you
can go there on a regulartuesday and you can tour the
whole stadium.
Like every night they have thelights on on the field.

(30:27):
It is like it's a destination.
So I was just like I was reallyit was.
This was a moment where, uh,adventure labs brought me there
and I would have probably notchecked it out, but I'm so glad
I did because I was like lambeaufield is really cool.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
So that's my really cool that's my first one,
lambeau field green bay, wisconsin and you've done it.
You've done it too well.
My second one I Lambeau Field, green Bay, wisconsin, and you've
done it.
You've done it too Well.
My second one I've done, I'vedone my second one, josh.
My second one is in good oldSan Francisco, california, and
I've been there twice now to SanFrancisco.
The last time I went there iswhen I actually did this

(31:02):
particular adventure lab as well.
It is a five-stage,non-sequential adventure lab.
It's called San FranciscoHighlights by Mr Veal.
It's got a rating of 4.7 out of171 finds, so it's fair decent.
Now, it's located primarilyaround the Pier 39, but the
locations at which it takes youit's a good walk.

(31:23):
I'm telling you.
It's a really good walk Becauseyou're hilly.
Who wants to drive in SanFrancisco?
You do not want to drive.
It's very hilly.
Um, there's no parking and theparking there is is very
expensive, so you're better offwalking around san francisco.
I'll say that.
So this one gets you walkingaround san francisco.
Uh, we're talking lombardstreet now.
You've seen or heard of lombardstreet, haven't you?
You've been one lombardstreetard Street.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
I don't know much about San Francisco,
surprisingly enough.
Oh really, yeah, it's cool.
Lombard Street is cool.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Lombard Street.
What Lombard Street is?
you've seen it in several moviesand it's the US's most windy
street and it's on a massive bighill and it goes down the hill
like a big S S S S, back andforth, back and forth, back and
forth and, yeah, the most windystreet in the US, apparently.
And, as I said, it is anAdventure Lab point.

(32:13):
There's a geocache there aswell, but, yeah, a lot of movies
are located on Lambert Streetwhen they actually come down
Lambert Street.
Another one is the cable carsin San Francisco.
Like, they're very famous forthe cable cars, so there's
another Adventure Lab pointthere showing you cable cars and
the history of the cable cars.
You can then look at theAdventure Lab and it shows you
some good photos from yesterday.

(32:33):
When I say yesterday, yesteryears, you know what I
mean from back in the day.
And then, right at the end, youend on the beautiful Pier 39.
If you don't know what Pier 39is in San Francisco, that's the
pier where everyone goes to.
You can eat, there'srestaurants, there's, uh, gaming
facilities, there's all.
It's a really, it's a real hubof all that.

(32:54):
But out on the pier itself iswhere all the seals are, so all
the actual seals themselves, thewildlife seals, come up onto
the pier and they're all makingall their noise and stuff.
People are there taking photos, and there's also a webcam cache
a rare webcam cache, overlooking the seals.
So you get a photo with theseals on from the webcam, which

(33:15):
is pretty cool too.
So, and you got a perfect viewon a good day when there's no
clouds and fog.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Yeah, you've got a perfect view to alcatraz from
there too oh wow, yeah, yeah, that sounds really cool again
the places it takes youlocations for me, you've
convinced me and you said thatyou don't need a car.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
You can walk to all these locations yeah, no,
exactly, walk, walk all aroundsan francisco.
You don't want a car in sanfrancisco, it's.
It's quicker to walk and costyou less money and it's good for
you.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
So trying to find parking spots pretty difficult
impossible, impossible.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
So there you go.
That's my second one.
You want to bet yours?

Speaker 2 (33:51):
all right, my second one and I've talked about it on
this podcast before um, but youknow there's nothing wrong with
talking about it again.
We're going.
We're going to memphis, tennessee, to the civil rights
museum.
Now, the civil rights museum isis the location where martin
luther king jr was assassinated.

(34:12):
It is at the old lorraine hoteland what's amazing about it is
that they've kept the the frontof the lorraine hotel, which is
like basically a 1960s motel.
They've kept the front of itand then they've built the
museum around it, around theback.
So the the spot where mlk wasassassinated.

(34:33):
It's still.
It's still right there.
They've maintained the historyof the front of the hotel and
built, built the um museumaround it and and you can, you
go through the museum, which ishighly, highly encouraged.
The Adventure Lab brought mehere and you go through and you
learn the history in asequential way, walking through

(34:54):
the museum about civil rights inthe United States.
And then the very end is youactually walk into the actual
hotel room that has beenpreserved and you can walk out
and you can see standessentially right where mlk was,
um assassinated incredible,incredible history.
But on the outside of it is allthe history surrounding the

(35:16):
situation uh, that happened withthe assassination of mlk, so
you can actually.
It walks you over to thebuilding where the gunman was
and like it, just like this umadventure lab, just immerses you
in history and and yeah, thecivil rights museum is just,
it's unbelievable, it's, it'samazing, it's one of the best
museums I've ever visited, andyou know, you know, I love, oh

(35:38):
yeah, I love, a good museum.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
You do?
You do?
I mean, everywhere we go.
People don't know everywhere wego if it's josh and I together.
Itself, um, I remember severalmuseums we've been to the uh,
what do you call it?

Speaker 2 (35:49):
the baseball, the hall of baseball hall of fame
museum louisville slugger thelouisville slugger museum.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
We've been there.
We went to the, the rock androll hall of fame.
We even went to the, the one inflorida, the uh, what do you
call it?
The um wizard of oz you draggedme into the wizard of oz museum
.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
It was it was okay.
It was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
I thought it was interesting what I liked about
the wizard of oz museum, andthat is was watching you go
through.
It was like a kid in a candystore and I was like, oh, here
we go there's.
So your big smile on your faceand you were, you were happy,
and then we went into thatdavinci remember.
They had that davinci thinggoing on as well, with the light
show.
And yes, you were, you werewalking the elevator.
It's very immersive.
You were walking, that you were.
You were skipping the elevator.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Yes, it was it made for a great tiktok video, that's
for sure it did, it did anotherthing I want to say about
memphis, tennessee is all theother cool things.
In memphis, tennessee, you gotbeale street, which also, by the
way, had a really cooladventure lab down beale street.
You got graceland, you gotelvis's home, which is, I
believe, also an adventure lab,and you got sun like sun studios

(36:52):
, which is where the birth ofrock and roll was, where elvis
recorded his first album.
So if you love rock and rolland history, memphis is where to
go.
So that's my number two I likeit.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
I like it.
I've just got a uh, a favorablemention that I'll do for the
patrons as well.
That I just came up with thenbecause it's not in the US, so
that's okay.
Okay, All right.
My number three is inWashington DC and it's called–
now, this one here is veryunique it's called Novicon.
This Is the Way.
Adventureland.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Now when.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
I say this is the way , I mean Mandalorian, this is
adventure lab.
Now, when I say this is the wayI mean mandalorian, this is the
way like the mandalorian, right?
Uh, it's a five stave.
This one is sequential, butthere's a reason for the being
sequential uh, because it leadsyou through a park and then
leads you to a bonus cash at theend.
There's 4.8 rating out of5, butthere's only 26 finds so far,
because, as I said, this is anewish one, as I said, it's a

(37:44):
mandalorian, it's a spacewestern five, uh, five years
after the return of the jedi, when the mandalorian came about,
and it follows the adventuresof the mandalorian bounty hunter
himself.
Uh, and, just like the, themandalorian, it says this is
what it says in the uh,adventure lab uh, you get
rewarded and adventure will beintertwined as you follow the
way.
The way begins at the postedcoordinates for the bonus cash.

(38:06):
So read the hint.
So there you go.
But what it's about, though, for this one, for me, and that
is you go to a particular spot, like the geofence, and it opens
it up.
You then must watch, josh, youmust watch a YouTube clip.
It's linked on your phone andit's the Mandalorian YouTube
clip.
So you basically get thatexperience, nice and the
Mandalorian YouTube clip.
So you basically get thatexperience, nice, and it's the

(38:27):
storytelling.
And then you answer a questionin regards to that YouTube clip,
so yeah, so that's the sort ofstyle.
And then, once you get it right, you move on to the next stage.
And again, as I said, it's fivestages and each stage has some
sort to do with the YouTube clipitself as well.
So I've got a similar one tothis and this is probably why I
like it.
I've got two similar ones tothis, but the one here in New

(38:48):
Jersey it's along the JerseyShore.
Now, you remember the TV showthe?

Speaker 2 (38:52):
Jersey Shore, of course, of course, snooki, yeah,
everyone remembers that.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah, that's the one.
What's his name?
The other guy?

Speaker 2 (38:59):
I don't know, I didn't really watch it much.
I know Snooki.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
There's another, anyway, someone tell us anyway,
but yeah, the one along JerseyShore.
It's based on the reality TVshow, it's the same sort of
thing as this one, and that is,you go to the location, the
filming locations though theseare all filmed at the lecture
hall, so where their house wasand they picked up the duck
phone, where they worked, wherethey even started fights in the

(39:24):
pub and the bar, whatever theywere, and at each one you open
up a youtube clip and it's ofthat particular location so you
can look at like now, and thenlike now and then you know what
I mean.
Um, and then you've obviouslygot to answer a question from
the youtube clip.
Now mine, though, it's onlyrated 4.4.
You know what?
Because every new jersey peoplehate the show, and so they're

(39:45):
like I don't want to watch thisshow again.
I'm gonna get this a 4.4 youknow.
So I was warned by Jerseyresidents by before doing this
adventure.
They go it's not going to berated high because we hate the
show oh, that's funny there's noone from New Jersey was in the
show, so there you go.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
I like this because so this is in Washington DC.
Is it just an at kind of anaverage park, like just not much
to the park?

Speaker 1 (40:10):
yeah, I haven't, I have.
Yeah, the park itself is prettyan average park, but it's a.
It's a nice, beautiful park.
So they've got like a little,uh, a little lake thing there,
they've got like a waterfall andstuff too, so it's really nice,
um, so it's a nice walk, evenwithout the adventure lap.
You know what?

Speaker 2 (40:23):
I mean.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
So again, it's one of those things whereby, if locals
use this park a lot, yes, butif you're not a local, you
probably wouldn't know about thepark.
It's that sort of thing again, right, um, but to me, this one
here is the immersive experienceof the storytelling, um, as you
do the five stages and end up,and you end also end up with a
pretty cool bonus.
That's related, the bonus isrelated to the actual
mandalorian, so I love thatagain, that.

(40:46):
So again that there.
To me, it's not just a pillbottle under a lamp skirt, this
is actually related to theAdventure Lab.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
And for those of you that are listening to this and
maybe just learning aboutAdventure Labs for the first
time, a bonus is an act.
We were saying that theseAdventure Lab locations are
essentially virtual, but thebonus is an actual, physical
geocache that you can only findif you finish the Adventure Lab.
Locations are essentiallyvirtual, but the bonus is an
actual, physical geocache thatyou can only find if you finish
the Adventure Lab.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
And it's technically classed as a mystery cache, like
a puzzle cache, because themystery is that you need to
actually solve the Adventure Labfirst in order to find the
bonus.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
So yeah, there you go .

Speaker 2 (41:24):
This one had a bonus with it.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
I like that.
I'll save it for the patrons.
I have one similar a couple ofthem similar to that, the idea
of having a video inside likeyou can only open the video if
you go.
Yeah, I found some like that, but I'll save it for the patrons
.
Thank you, patrons.
There you go, you're going toget a little bonus bonus.

(41:48):
All right, you're gonna get alittle bonus bonus, all right.
My third one is I'm kind ofcheating here, craig.
It's kind of two locations thatare very related.
Oh, and it and I haven't.
I've talked about it prettyrecent it was two shows, I think
two shows ago, craig, but it'sthe trolls of detroit lakes and
detroit lakes, minnesota andseattle, and so what I'm talking

(42:09):
about is those are those ofDetroit Lakes and Detroit Lakes,
minnesota and Seattle, and sowhat I'm talking about are those
Thomas Dambo trolls that areall over the world.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
What about the trolls in Kentucky that we did too?

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Yes, well, that wasn't an adventure lab.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
It wasn't.
No it wasn't, that's right.
There were real caches there.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Yeah, there were other caches in the park.
Maybe somebody has now made anadventure lab since we've been
there, possibly.
But yeah, these trolls areamazing, I don't have to talk
about them.
They're all made out of likerecycled wood and they were just
built some in detroit lakes, minnesota, this summer and they
were adventure lab stages.
And the bonus here is and Iknow in seattle they're also

(42:45):
virtual geocaches.
So essentially you do five ofthem, you get 10 finds five
adventure labs and five virtual.
Yeah, it builds up your numberso I don't have to say much more
than then.
They're just so cool and sounique and a perfect place for
adventure labs, because I don'tthink there's such a.
They're're very touristy, likepeople.

(43:07):
Lots of people visit them, soyou can't really essentially
hide a geocache very close tothem no.
Just because there is suchtraffic, they would probably go
missing all the time, so they'reperfect locations for adventure
.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
But not just that, not just that, josh, I know if
you go to a place and there's abig photo opportunity there,
like, for instance, me when Iwas near the Big Ben, for
instance you know what I mean inthe UK you want to just take
your photo and go.
You don't want to hold uppeople trying to get their photo
taken as well.
So can you imagine peoplehunting around those trolls when
people are going?
Excuse me, can I get a photo?

(43:40):
Can you get out of my photoplease?
I just want a photo, exactly.
So, adventure labs or virtualsare the best things for those
sort of things.
So, yeah, and they are cool.
And again, if we don't, peopledon't know what you're talking
about.
Josh, you, you've got a fewvideos out there in regards to
the trolls.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Yeah, and I have my my Detroit lakes video.
Um has not even come out yet,so future, but that was nice,
awesome, awesome.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
All right, I'm going to get to my number four now.
Then my number four again, it'sa walk.
This one, okay, I do like thewalks, as opposed to the drive
to location to location, okay, just saying this is a 10-stage,
non-sequential 10, 10-stage one.
So this is a rare one, thesebig 10-stage ones.
It's in Las Vegas, nevada, andit's called the Walk in the

(44:35):
Garden.
It's done by a geocacher namedGus, just Gus G-U-S.
Josh, ready for this.
4.9 out of 5 after 359 finds onthe 10-stage adventure lab.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Think about that Anytime you're looking for a
restaurant and you look at thegoogle reviews.
If, if there is, if it's a 4.9and there's 359 reviews, you
know that's a darn goodrestaurant exactly and people
are probably really proud oftheir town that they have that
restaurant there and that's arare.
Thing that's a rare thing thesedays wow, you got that in.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
Really, you surprised me getting that geez, you got
that in real quick.
I didn't with getting that Jeez, you got that in real quick.
I didn't even see that coming.
There you go.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Snuck up on you that time.

Speaker 1 (45:22):
You really did.
You surprised me.
Well done, well done.
Anyway, getting back to thisadventure, lab 10-stage,
non-sequential, it's a shortwalk through Nevada's largest
botanical cactus garden, so it'sonly open from 8 am to 8 pm, so
there is a time frame there butthe largest botanical cactus
garden Now, if you choose to goinside and you get a glimpse of
the chocolate-making process aswell and get free samples of

(45:43):
chocolates too.
So maybe that helps with theactual points, I'm dare say.
But the garden itself is abeautiful garden.
Plus, they decorate it forevery single season and holiday.
So obviously, coming up withChristmas coming up as well,
apparently single season andholiday.
So obviously coming up with, uh, with christmas coming up as
well, apparently it's all done.
Now in christmas themed, youknow that sort of thing too.
Uh, when I did it was beforememorial day weekend, so they
had it all very, veryamericanized, something you know

(46:05):
, very the red, white and blue, the stars and all sorts of stuff
.
So it's really, really cool andit brings you to a very unique
and beautiful location becauseit's outside las vegas, you see.
So it's not actually in LasVegas, it's quite a bit outside.
You have to drive there to getto the and know that it's there,
and that's what I mean.
Again, it's one of the placeswhere, if you're going to Las
Vegas, you wouldn't have heardof this Unless it was this

(46:26):
adventure level.
It was that sort of style.
So again, it's one of thosethings whereby it brings you to
somewhere that you wouldn'tnormally go to and you feel more
excited by that yeah, andthere's let's be real in vegas
there's a lot of like coolplaces to visit so many a lot of
times people don't take time toget out of vegas and explore
the outside of it.

Speaker 2 (46:45):
Um, I I I've been to vegas a couple times and I've,
oh and I've wanted to go to thehoover dam, but I've just never
had the opportunity to get outof town yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
All right, mate, what's your number four?

Speaker 2 (46:57):
okay, my number four.
We visited together it was.
It is just such a great memory.
We're going to cleveland ohiobecause cleveland rocks,
cleveland rocks, cleveland rocks.
Okay, uh, we're going to thechristmas story house
neighborhood from the movie AChristmas Story.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
This was incredible, mate.
I will say this I think we'vespoken about this before on the
show, about this location andstuff as well, but I will say
I've said it before I've neversaw the Christmas movie at all
until I moved here like threeyears ago so for me itself, it
was very new, and I'm like you, josh, I love seeing locations

(47:40):
that you've seen on a movie or atv show.
I love that.
I love that.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
So, yes, tell them more about this, this place well
, the cool thing is that thechristmas, a christmas story
house they what's very rareabout it from the movie.
They use not only the exterior, which is really normal, but
they also use the interior ofthe house for the movie.
So when you take the tour ofthe inside of the house, you're
seeing the inside of what, theof the house, where they

(48:06):
actually is in the movie, whichis pretty rare when it comes
comes to movies and but it's thewhole street.
The whole street is now kind oftaken over by a Christmas story
.
The bumpus house, theirneighbors, that's, that's.
It's all owned by one personand you, just you walk up and
down the street and each littlelocation in the neighborhood is

(48:29):
an adventure lab.
Stop and let me just say likeit has one of the coolest gift
shops I've ever been at Like howmany.
I didn't even realize therecould be so many souvenirs
related to a christmas story umit was awesome we have a we have
a video that craig has editedum I put it out.
Uh, I think last year onchristmas day on christmas.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
It was your christmas special last year.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Yes, and um it's just cool especially if you love
that movie and most people, mostpeople in the united states
have seen that movie.
Yes, and it's just cool, especially if you love that
movie and most people in theUnited States have seen that
movie a lot, as it's onChristmas Eve for 24 hours
straight.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
And I would say we have a whole episode about
Cleveland.
We've talked about this before, but Cleveland, I think, is kind
of an underrated city overallthe Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
is there Some cool restaurants.
We found some really coolsculptures and statues.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
The hot dog restaurants as well that were
there.
Oh man, we missed out becauseit was closed, remember.
But we researched it.
And people, you can have a hotdog with Cheerios on top.

Speaker 2 (49:35):
Or Fruity Pebbles.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
Fruity Pebbles, like it was some weird stuff, but oh,
we missed out I know we have togo back here yeah, we have to
go back so yeah, that's mythat's my second I like and one,
one more thing I do like aboutthat one too josh and that is
one of the adventure lab pointsas well takes you to the local
bar area on the corner and thenit tells you but that local bar
was used to actually do all themakeup and the hair and all that

(49:57):
stuff too for the actual show.
So that bar wasn't actuallyfeatured in the movie itself,
but it was a location, becausethat's where the staging was for
all the actors and stuff aswell.
So that's really cool.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
I remember that it told us about the production of
the movie.
It was kind of like a behindthe scenes.
Behind the scenes, yeah, yeah,yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Exactly.
All right, mate, I'll move intomy number five and, speaking of
you and I doing things togetheras we do, this one here of my
number five we did together aswell, and you probably remember
that it was in Orlando, florida.
It's called Lake Nona SculptureGarden and it's by your friend
and mine, coal Cracker 7.
Hey and cracker seven, hey, she, uh.

(50:42):
And the reason why I know coldcracker seven well is because
she's a great munzee player aswell, so I know she listens to
the show.
Prolific, prolific munzeeplayer.
So I know she listens.
So shout out to cold crackerseven.
This one here is a five stagesequential.
It has 4.7 rating out of 84finds in total and basically
it's a sculpture garden thatdesigned to let you explore and
discover the differentsculptures from world renowned
sculptors.
Now, these sculptures, josh andyou, you know you've seen
themselves.
There's, there's some that it'slike there was that big bull

(51:04):
area, you know what I mean, that's something, uh.
But then again, there was a lotof these mirrored humanoid sort
of style and that we're talking.
We're talking 12 foot tall, like these are big, uh.
And there were some weredancing with each other.
One had a big square head headon it, you know, but they were
very mirror finished, you know, like a polished, that polished
sort of finish.
So yeah, tell us more aboutthat, josh, did you?

Speaker 2 (51:23):
enjoy those ones as well.
I love this Adventure Lab, andthis is a great example of a
location that we would havenever gone to, or never even
heard of, unless it was forAdventure Labs.

Speaker 1 (51:37):
Yeah, exactly of um, unless it was for for adventure
labs.

Speaker 2 (51:38):
Yeah, exactly, I made a tiktok video of it and people
from orlando because you knowyou can set the location and
often it feeds people that livein that location and there were
so many people that commented onthat video saying I've lived
here my whole life and I neverrealized that this thing existed
exactly.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
I liked it as well, like it was very.
It was just off to the side ofa, a big hotel yes uh, which is
what it was cool, but also theremember the uh, the table and
chairs.
It was literally hanging fromchains.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
The table and chairs themselves.

Speaker 1 (52:08):
That was really cool too.
So yeah, that was the one.
That's my number five.
Josh down in uh down in orlando, florida all right, that's a
good guy.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
What's?

Speaker 1 (52:16):
your number five.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
This is my number five, but I'm going to say this
is my number one.

Speaker 1 (52:21):
Oh, there you go.

Speaker 2 (52:23):
I went through the list of all my adventure labs,
which was apparently 1,800.
Some locations, which is a lot,and this one was my favorite.
We're going to WoodstockIllinois and this is the
groundhog day adventure based onthe movie groundhog day, and so

(52:45):
woodstock illinois is the.
This is another shootinglocation.
You know I love my movies, youknow all my television shows,
but especially if it takes me,takes you to um the shooting
locations and this town, like inthe movie a groundhog day.
If you've seen it, the the townis is a character.
It's a it's a character.

(53:05):
So all these locations you'relike, you're very familiar with
it, like ned's corner, thecherry tree in the place where
the bed and breakfast, andbecause you know, the movie he
like relives the same day over, and over and over again, so you
know the location.
Yes, you keep going to the samelocations over and over again.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
Um that that crackle pond in the in the sidewalk as
well, when he yes, that thatsort of thing.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
Yeah, yeah, yes there's a um, there's, yeah, a
place where, yeah, when the pondthat bill murray puts his foot
in, there's in the ground.
There's actually, his footprintis in the ground and that's
actually an adventure lab stageto show you where punk's a tony
phil, the the groundhog.
There's a statue that you go to,um.
Where it is, there's a bigmural of, like the, basically

(53:50):
the movie cover.
It's really, it's really cool,it's.
It's a cool little town and um,and here's the cool thing when
I visited this place, I stayedat the Cherry Tree Inn, which is
the actual house that BillMurray woke up every morning in,
and I got to stay in the veryroom where he got to look out

(54:11):
into the town every morning.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
And I got to actually stay in that room.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
How many days did you stay there?
For Just one night, it was kindof extensive?

Speaker 1 (54:19):
Are you sure it was just one?

Speaker 2 (54:21):
night.
Oh yeah, maybe it was millions,it might have been millions.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
And all of a sudden, now, josh, he knows how to play
the piano.
Yes, exactly.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
I wooed Andy McDaniel , or what's her name?

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Andy McDowell Is that her name Andy McDowell, yeah,
and.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Craig.
I've made a lot of videos on myYouTube channel and this is one
of maybe this is in the topfive of my proudest videos I've
ever made.
It's a 23, I think a 20 plusminute video of me experiencing
Groundhog Day again.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
Over and over and over over.
I do remember this one, andjust just let everyone know.
As always, links for all thesevideos we're talking about are
in the description of the actualpodcast can I say one more
thing about this?

Speaker 2 (55:10):
always is there.
There is a bonus cash to thisand it the it like your
mandalorian one.
Yeah, I'm not gonna.

Speaker 1 (55:18):
I won't give away the don't give it away surprise on
the podcast here, but it's verymuch themed a part of a part of
groundhog day see, and it's, andit's good as well if to again,
if you're making a adventure labseries and you're placing a,
placing a bonus cash, I will saymake it to the same theme as
the adventure lab, becauseyou're likely people we can't,

(55:38):
we can't give favorite points toadventure labs.
There's just no, no means to it.
But if it's a really cooladventure lab and then the bonus
cash is related guess wherethat favorite point goes to the
actual bonus cash, so yeah, absolutely, there's a little tip
for you.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
One more thing, Craig .
I love this adventure lab somuch that I got permission from
the adventure lab owner to do apart two no, yeah, so I went
back, oh wow because there wereother movie locations.
I mean, it was only a fivestage, there were other
locations.
So I went and I I visited, uh,five other locations from the,

(56:14):
from the movie.
So I have there you go, I dohave the part two of adventure
lab that I own in woodstockillinois.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
That's really cool.
That's really cool.
All right, so there's the top10 and, as we said before, if
you're a patron, then you'regoing to get the little bonus as
well.
But speaking of woodstock, josh, we're going to talk about geo
woodstock this time and and ifyou're listening to this podcast
and you're not part of theorganizing team of geo woodstock
in 2025, then you don't know.

(56:43):
But, josh, you and I, we'vebeen asked back.
We've been asked back again forthe third time in a row.
Third year in a row, we'regoing to be on stage.
We're going to be doing a livepodcast, again recording on
stage.
But this year is going to bevery different, josh.
Okay, I spoke to them alreadyabout your idea.
Oh, yes, speaking of AdventureLabs, oh, and if you come along

(57:06):
to Geo Woodstock next yearitself and you come and join
Josh and I and have a lot of funon stage, then for that time
we're on stage, there's going tobe a five-stage Adventure Lab
open for that location at thattime, only that time, and it's
going to close after that.
That's it, all said and done, and we are going to give people
the answers as we go through thepodcast.
So how's that, josh?

Speaker 2 (57:28):
I love that.
So our podcast will be anAdventure Lab Only at Geo
Woodstock.

Speaker 1 (57:34):
You've got to be there and you have to listen to
us because, guess what, we'reshutting it off when the podcast
is over and, and we'll say thattoo.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
We'll say, hey, yeah, this is it, return it.
I'll click the button turn itoff click the button.

Speaker 1 (57:48):
It's an hour.
That's it an hour here's theproblem, though.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
Um, from now till then, you or I need to figure
out how to get a venture labcredit to do this.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Oh, I've got one, I've got one oh perfect.
I had this one ready and readyto go up my sleeve.
As soon as you mentioned to methe other day on the phone, I
went oh, I've got one up mysleeve, so it's all good, it's a
great idea.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
It won't be a problem , josh, it's a great idea.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
It's a great idea, yes fantastic idea and, again, a
good reward for those that dofollow us and those that are
coming to Geo Woodstock inMorgantown, west Virginia.
Get your willetons in and getyour you know sorted, everything
sorted your accommodations needto be sorted, your airfares or,
you know, travel needs to besorted, and you can meet Josh
and I and a lot of other peoplethere too.

(58:33):
Josh, the numbers are really, really, really getting up there
just saying have you seen themrecently.
It's getting pretty big yeah,it's getting pretty big over
2,000 will attend.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Is that right right?

Speaker 1 (58:45):
I think, yeah, 2,211 last I looked, which is on
wednesday last week.
So it's, and people, if youdon't know, um, it is already
obviously a mega event, uh, butif it gets to 3,000 will attend
themselves, then it's apossibility that may go to the
giga event and that would be thesecond one in the US.
Only, that's it.

(59:05):
There's never been another one, except for Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (59:07):
That was it and just so everybody knows, it's on
Memorial Day weekend yes that'swhat it is so yeah we would love
for you to go there.
We would love to force you tolisten to our podcast.

Speaker 1 (59:20):

the answers for the actualadventure levels.
I like it, I like it.
