SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Some of you have
gotten to this comfortable spot
in your business because you'vebeen running it for a while and
it's kind of on autopilot.
And you might even be doingreally well in your business,
but now you're starting to feelnot as fulfilled by it.
That is a very, very commonthing, or you're going into
burnout.
So either one of those twothings are happening to a lot of
(00:21):
women in their 40s, especially,um, and even in their 50s.
And people are just starting tosort of wake up and be like, oh,
who the hell am I anymore?
Like, I don't even know who I amoutside of my kids and my family
and my business because that'sall you've been doing for the
last 20 years.
Welcome to Tried and True withthe Dash of Woo, where we blend
(00:41):
rock solid tips with a littlebit of magic.
I'm Renee Bowen, your host, lifeand business coach, and
professional photographer.
At your service, we are allabout getting creative, diving
into your business, and playingwith manifestation over here.
So are you ready to get inspiredand have some fun?
Let's dive in.
Hey, hey, welcome back to Triedand True with the Dash of Woo.
(01:04):
I am your host, Renee Bowen.
Thanks again for being here withme for another week.
Today's episode is not going tobe a super long one and it's
just me, but I want to cover acouple different things.
So, first of all, somethingthat's been on my mind for a
while.
Um, we're gonna dig into alittle bit about getting
comfortable in your business.
Um, we're gonna take that in acouple of different directions
(01:27):
because I have some thoughts.
And I also want to talk to youguys really quickly about what I
have for Black Friday.
So that'll be at the end or thesecond part of this.
But again, I really just kind ofwanted to give you guys a little
bit of an update on things thatare also going on because I feel
like things are shifting veryquickly.
Um, I know that they areshifting very quickly for me and
(01:49):
my internal world, but I haven'treally felt really called to
talk to you guys about it in anintentional way just yet.
Uh, and so I think this episodeis like my little way of doing
that, uh, sort of giving yousome updates on what's going on
(02:10):
with me and sort of like whereI'm headed, and also to give you
some updates on how you can workwith me if that's something
that's been on your list.
Because I do get a lot ofcomments and DMs from you guys
saying, okay, I can't wait towork with you.
One day I will.
But I gotta be honest with youguys, like I might not be doing
(02:30):
this kind of work in thiscapacity when you reach out.
Like, I can't promise that.
I don't know sort of where I'mgonna be and where my business
is gonna be in the next coupleof years, next five years.
Something about me is I'vealways, I've always wanted to
leave room for a what if.
(02:51):
I don't know.
I mean, like I can tell youwhere I want to go, you know, in
the bigger scheme of things, like, okay, over the next five
years, this is like my my bigvision of my life, but I don't
really know those specificsbecause a lot of things are
shifting and changing.
And I also feel like the morethat we make it about ourselves,
(03:11):
the less we are going to movecloser to those goals, right?
Like what we do, I trulybelieve, and if you're listening
to this podcast, like you're mypeople, you're on my page and
you get what I'm about to say.
Whatever work that you're doing,okay.
So, like most of my audience, you guys are creatives in some
way.
I believe that everybody is acreative, but it's also a word
(03:33):
that kind of gets thrown around, right?
And people say, Oh, I'm notcreative, I'm not creative.
But you are.
It's just in your specific way.
And it's supposed to beindividualized.
Okay.
So, all that to say, whateveryou're called to do, whatever
your purpose is, I reallybelieve that when we're truly
living our purpose and we are inservice to others, that's how we
(03:59):
can get closer to whatever goal, vision, whatever you want to
call it.
We call it to us.
We become magnetic because we'reliving in alignment.
We are really staying true towho we are and what we want.
And we know we trust that we'reon that path and that it doesn't
(04:23):
need to feel rushed.
It doesn't need to feel like, ohmy God, you know, why isn't it
happening?
We just we know that it's onestep at a time.
And each step is going to leadus to that next right step.
That trust factor is somethingthat I kind of want to talk to
you about today.
So, as far as this comfortthing, what I led with a couple
(04:44):
minutes ago, what I'm hearing alot on my alignment calls with
people basically when someone isthinking about working with me
one-on-one, we hop on a call.
I just want to see where you'reat and if I can really help you.
Because honestly, the kind ofwork that I do isn't for
everybody.
And I want to make sure you'regetting what you need and what
(05:05):
you want.
Because I cannot tell you howmany times I have been on a call
lately, especially in the lastlike year, I would say, with
specifically photographers whoare looking for some kind of,
you know, coaching support fortheir photography business.
A lot of you guys have uh traumasurrounding previous coaching
(05:28):
containers.
Like a lot of you guys arecoming to me telling me that you
were in a coaching container andit made you feel awful.
And the coach did not supportyou at a deep level.
And I'm also hearing some otherlike even worse comments than
(05:49):
that about specific coaches inour industry.
So it's one thing if you sign upfor coaching and you just don't
get what you thought it was, right?
Like that happens when themessaging is not clear and when
maybe you're not even clear onwhat you want.
That's another piece of it.
Like you might not even knowexactly what you want.
So it's hard to even put thatout there.
(06:11):
So you kind of sign up forsomething that you think is one
thing and it's not.
So that that in and of itself, like that does happen.
And I also see where you sign upfor something and it just
doesn't, it's not gonna give youthe results that you want
because it's not maybe asin-depth or there wasn't, there
wasn't something, a shift, ashift did not happen within you
(06:33):
to make those strategiesactually come to fruition for
you.
This is a really big piece ofwhy I work with the unconscious
mind, because if we don't sortof like work out what's going on
there and we rewire some stuff,it's not gonna stick.
Nothing's gonna work.
But that that other stuff doeshappen.
(06:53):
What I'm talking aboutspecifically is that a lot of
you guys have invested largeamounts of money in very, I
would say very visible coacheswithin the photography industry
and just within the coachingindustry as well.
And you walk away not onlywithout the results and the
(07:14):
transformation that you werehoping for, but you also now
have some trauma around coachingbecause you were gaslit inside a
coaching container.
And I and listen, I mean, Iwasn't there, so I can't I can't
attest to exactly what happened.
(07:35):
I'm just telling you guys whatI've been hearing on calls with
a lot, a lot of photographers.
And it really breaks my heart.
Like I I know what it takes toinvest in yourself.
I know that some for somepeople, especially, it is
extremely difficult to get tothat place of finally committing
(07:55):
to invest, you know, a decentamount of money into yourself
and your business, especially aswomen.
We have a very hard time withthat.
So I know what that takes.
I I've invested heavily inmyself over the years.
And each time it is triggeringin some way.
But I really believe that thosetriggers are there for a reason.
(08:16):
And it's it's showing me someinformation at the end of the
day.
That's really all it is.
So, yes, in that same vein, youcan say that, okay, well, they
got what they needed in some wayfrom that container.
If you believe that, you know, everything sort of happens the
way it's supposed to, and thatlife is happening for us,
because it showed them thecontrast of what, oh, I don't
(08:38):
want that.
And without that contrast, sometimes we don't know what we
do want.
So it can be that shortcut to belike, oh, that is not what I
want.
I want something completelydifferent.
So, yes, in a lot of ways, yes, there are so many good things
that can come from that.
But that is sort of what I'mwanted to speak to a little bit
(09:01):
today, is about this level ofcomfortability, whether you are
just comfortable in life ingeneral, financially speaking,
or you've gotten kind ofcomfortable staying in your safe
zone.
So let's sort of like dive intoeach of those pieces and why I
(09:23):
think it's important to be thisneutral observer so that you can
decide.
We uh we have free will.
So we can decide if you want tostay there and if it's serving
you.
Because so many people come tome and they just tell me, like,
I don't really know what I want.
I don't know what I wantanymore.
I thought I did, but my businesshas shifted and changed, and I
(09:43):
don't know like what I want todo anymore.
And a lot of this happensbecause as we reach our 40s, our
50s, especially as women, youknow, we lose some hormones.
And when the hormones leave thechat, we are then faced with a
whole array of suppressedtrauma, emotions, whatever, that
(10:07):
we have been able to push downbecause we had the hormone
support to do so.
And then all of a sudden wedon't.
So everything to comes to thesurface.
This is why a lot of women inmidlife are getting diagnosed
with ADHD and autism or both, orall kinds of other, you know,
facets of mental health, becausewe're like, I literally cannot
deal with this anymore.
(10:28):
Like, I can't mask what I'mreally feeling anymore.
And I really believe that partof the work that I do, which
also helps me, by the way, because the more I do this work,
the more I grow.
So it is a little selfish inthat way.
But the work that I do is meantto spark and trigger that.
(10:53):
It's it's meant to itch thatpart of your brain that you
might have been suppressing fora while with the ultimate goal
of raising your frequency, getting more in tune with your
higher self, being more inalignment so that you can live a
very full, beautiful life, whatever that looks like for
(11:13):
you, unapologetically.
That's my thing.
It's like, I don't want you toapologize for wanting what you
want and getting what you want.
And the way to get what you wantis to deal with all this shit.
So this comfortable aspect, let's let's dig into this for a
second on this first part that Iwas talking about, like this
financial comfort.
Okay.
So a lot of women especiallycome to me on these calls and
(11:36):
they will really want to be in acoaching container.
They will want to grow theirbusiness.
Okay.
That they come to me becausethey're like, I've had this on
my heart for a really long time.
And I just want to take theleap.
I want to finally figure out howto do this best.
And honestly, that's the bestthing you can do if you've
never, you know, run a businessbefore is to find someone who's
(11:59):
done what you want to do and whois doing it well, and that you
can actually track theirperformance.
And, you know, you know thatthey're actually successful,
meaning they are profitable.
Cause a lot of people are outthere just telling you they are.
But finding someone who has donethis successfully and then
studying with that person, that's that's the cheat code,
(12:19):
right?
Everybody knows that.
However, they get on the call, they say that that's what they
want to do.
And they even may know, youknow, around what that
investment's gonna be like,because I don't really hide that
on my site.
I'm like, coaching starts here.
And when it comes down to it,they're not uncomfortable enough
(12:40):
to make the move, right?
Because they've got a partner,usually a husband, but not
always, but usually a husbandwho is very financially stable,
who kind of runs the show behindthe scenes and just makes sure
that they're taken care of.
Like he's got investments, everything is, you know, going
(13:01):
the way it's supposed to go.
And they're good.
And she's good.
She can go on vacations, she cango to Target and just buy, you
know, the latest decor for herhome.
Like she's living a comfortablelife.
So she's not uncomfortable yet.
She's not uncomfortable enoughyet to trigger herself into this
(13:22):
next phase.
Okay.
So I know a lot of people arethere.
So what I want to speak to isunless you are uncomfortable in
your current place, you're notgoing to do anything to move out
of that.
Okay.
As human beings, it's very wellknown that it's just human
psychology.
We're going to do more to avoidpain than seek pleasure.
(13:45):
Right.
Like you might know this is whatI want.
This is my dream.
I've been dreaming about thissince I was a little girl.
But if you don't have enoughpain, you're not going to do it.
People always ask me, how didyou build this business so
quickly?
Speaking about my photographybusiness, right?
Back in the early 2000s.
Because my business, I it's like20 years old.
(14:06):
And people will ask me, How didyou build it so quickly?
How did it take off?
How did you, how did you make somuch money doing this?
And the answer is very simple.
It's because I did not have achoice.
In my mind, I didn't have achoice.
Okay.
My husband does not have astable career.
Like when he works, it isfantastic.
I mean, it's sometimes beyondfantastic, right?
(14:28):
He's in the entertainmentindustry.
He can get a large paycheck fora project.
And, you know, that could nothappen again for another several
years.
So there's no stability here,truly.
And yes, he's he's a workingactor.
He's been working his wholelife.
So for a long time, up untilCOVID, there was at least some
(14:50):
version of some stability.
Like we knew a range of what henormally made, right?
But we couldn't predict it andwe couldn't project it.
And we kind of just had to likesee what came up because in his
line of work, he's at the whimof casting directors and
directors.
And like he's not making thingshappen for himself necessarily.
(15:13):
Yeah, he's a go-getter, but atthe end of the day, you could be
a completely different look thanwhat they're going for.
And you could be the best actorin the room.
But if that person has morefollowers than you, they're
probably going to get the job.
That's just kind of the state ofthe industry right now.
So back then it was similar.
It wasn't the social mediathing, but it was, it was just
unpredictable.
(15:33):
And I knew, okay, I had threelittle kids under the age of
two.
And my oldest son just, youknow, got diagnosed with autism
right after I had the twins, basically.
And I knew that that would meanthat I had to be and I wanted to
be very present physically formy kids.
Like I wanted to usher them intothat phase before they went off
(15:58):
to, you know, beinstitutionalized the school
system.
I wanted to have them with meand I wanted to be present for
them.
And I did not want to work foranybody else.
And I just knew that aboutmyself.
I wasn't good in the corporateworld.
I had had a taste of it and Ihated it.
Like I hated it.
I had been waiting tables andbartending like for a very long
(16:19):
time at fine dining restaurants.
And I loved that little hit of,oh, I wonder how much money I'm
going to make tonight.
Like even early on, right?
I would go to work at Spargo andI'm like, I wonder how much
money I'm going to walk out withtonight.
And sometimes I would walk outwith 800 bucks cash, right?
So I that was like a drug to me.
(16:40):
That was like a drug.
And I didn't realize it then, but I was getting the most
amazing sales training everbecause I was selling to these
people.
Their bill determined what mytip was going to be.
So I had to learn how to sellorganically and naturally.
And I did not come to thiseasily.
(17:03):
Like it wasn't fun for me atfirst.
I was like, mmm, this kind offeels weird.
But once I sort of like figuredout that game, it got really
fun.
And I did treat it like a game.
That's kind of what got methrough those long shifts.
So, all that to say, after Igraduated college and I started,
you know, working in thecorporate world, this before I
moved to LA and started waitingtables at Spago and other fine
(17:24):
dining places, I was sitting inthis office in New Orleans and
just like, what am I doing here?
Like, this is so not what I wantto do.
So I knew I didn't want to workfor somebody else.
And I knew that like waitingtables, bartending, it was just
really tough.
The hours were really tough whenyou have little kids.
And I was good at thisphotography thing.
(17:44):
And people kept telling me, youshould do this, you should do
this.
And people were like literallypaying me, you know, to take
photos of their kids.
So that's when I had to likereally sit down with myself and
decide, well, okay, I'm gonna dothis, but I have to make it
work.
Like it has to work.
There's no choice here.
I'm not gonna just like, I don'thave six months to just play and
(18:08):
figure out if I can make abusiness at this.
Like, if I'm gonna invest thismuch time and editing and, you
know, all of this time that itwas taking away from my family,
it needed to pay off.
And so I got really real withmyself very quickly.
And I truly believe that thereason why I was able to do this
(18:30):
is because I really had to makeit work.
I did not have a safety net.
And so, those of you who arelistening who have a safety net,
I want to say that is an amazingthing.
Okay.
Like I'm not saying this is abad thing.
I'm saying that's awesome.
I'm happy for you.
I'm glad you do because so manypeople don't.
And also, if you still have thisdream on your heart, what kind
(18:55):
of friction are you causingyourself so that you can move to
this next level?
Because unless you don't, andunless you really, really want
it and you really get real withyourself, you're not going to
make that move into, you know, investing in coaching or
investing in systems or whateverit is or outsourcing so that you
(19:15):
can move this business to thenext level.
If you're just kind ofcomfortable, more than likely
you're just gonna stay there,right?
So there's other things that youcan do to work with your
unconscious mind so that you cantrigger yourself to this next
level if it's something youreally want to do.
For example, you canintentionally put yourself in
containers that make you feeluncomfortable.
(19:36):
If you know that you are a superintrovert, but you feel called
to, you know, run a creativebusiness, and that means you've
got to put yourself out there, then you put yourself in rooms
with people, first of all, whoknow what they're doing and have
done it well, but that you stillfeel supported.
That's important.
But you make yourselfuncomfortable.
(19:57):
Like you put yourself in roomsthat you know are going to make
you feel not comfy.
Because when you're in thatstate, that agitation, that
friction, that is going to pushyou.
That's going to propel you tothis next place, this next
(20:17):
phase.
I'm not going to say levelbecause it's not a hierarchy
thing here.
It's just a different phase.
Right.
But I do believe it is raisingyour frequency.
And I think that that's a reallybig factor here.
It's like you, if you feelcalled for something like that,
it means you already have it ina different timeline.
That you, that version of you isalready operating at that
(20:41):
frequency.
And she's calling you to say, come on, we got this.
But you got to listen.
And a lot of people don'tlisten.
So I just wanted to mention thatbecause I've been hearing it a
lot.
Uh, there's other ways you canmake yourself uncomfortable.
I'm not talking about likeharming yourself.
That is not what I mean.
Okay.
I mean little things that youcan do that are intentionally
(21:03):
making you a little like, hmm, that's interesting.
Like I'm that I that's aninteresting feeling coming up.
Okay.
So some of you are there.
And then also, some of you havegotten to this comfortable spot
in your business because you'vebeen running it for a while and
it's kind of on autopilot.
And you might even be doingreally well in your business,
(21:26):
but now you're starting to feelnot as fulfilled by it.
That is a very, very commonthing, or you're going into
burnout.
So either one of those twothings are happening to a lot of
women in their 40s, especially,um, and even in their 50s.
And people are just starting tosort of wake up and be like, oh,
who the hell am I anymore?
Like, I don't even know who I amoutside of my kids and my family
(21:50):
and my business because that'sall you've been doing for the
last 20 years.
I can identify with this at avery deep level.
I'm just gonna be honest withyou guys.
Like, this is something I'vebeen going through the last five
years.
And it's it's been a very slowprocess, which is really
frustrating for me because Iwant things to happen fast.
Aries Moon, just like, come on.
(22:10):
But I have to be patient withthis.
This is something that I've beenmeditating on, something that's
been coming up for me a lot islike just wait.
Just be here now, be patient.
Everything is moving at the paceit needs to move at, which feels
really not great sometimes.
(22:32):
But I have to trust because Iknow that it's coming.
It's coming in small spurts.
And I kind of do feel like it'sit's gonna start flooding in at
some point, but I'm not thereyet.
All that to say, this issomething that I can identify
with.
Your kids go off to college, youknow, and in my case too, like
having a special needs kid, likeanybody out there have kids with
extra needs, whether it's, youknow, ADHD, autism, I've got a
(22:57):
little bit of everything in myhouse.
You know, I would call itneurodiversity gumbo because I'm
from the South, but it is.
It's like a little bit of this,a little bit of that.
We all got a little bit ofsomething.
And it can be really hardbecause you live in that mode of
making sure all we want to do islike we want our kids to be
happy.
We want our kids to feel happy.
And when they're not, it eats usalive.
(23:20):
As I'm speaking specifically tomoms because I am a mom, but I I
hear a lot of fathers go throughthis as well.
And my husband has definitelygone through that.
So you go through this likefight or flight situation for a
while.
You don't even realize you areliving in fight or flight.
You're just like, people like, how are you doing everything
you're doing?
I don't know.
(23:40):
I don't have a choice.
We're just going.
We're just doing it, right?
You just have to keep going.
Someone has to keep running theshow.
And usually it's you.
And so then all of a sudden, youhave some more space.
So, like in my case, my oldestis, you know, two years older
than the twins.
It's just like boom, boom.
And but he was only one gradeapart because we held him back.
(24:01):
And he went to communitycollege.
Yes, he was still living athome, but he got more
independent and he did it needbecause he worked so hard, and
because we worked so hard hisentire life to help him be
independent as a person withautism.
And when he finally got thatindependence and he didn't need
me as much, that was weird.
(24:22):
Right.
And then that next year, thetwins go off and do their stuff
at college.
So all of a sudden, my husbandand I were like, you know, we
had always been super close andwe would always been very
communicative.
But during those teen years inparticular, we were very much in
like just fight or flight.
(24:43):
We got to get it done.
We got to do the things.
And then all of a sudden, we hadthe space in our home and in our
relationship to shine a light onthe stuff that wasn't working.
And it was very uncomfortable todeal with that.
And we there we went through avery, very, very rough patch.
So that is a very normal thingthat happens to a lot of people.
(25:05):
Um, but because we went throughit and we sat with it and we
didn't like push it away, neither of us.
Um, we both showed up forourselves individually in
therapy, and also together, wewere able to move through it.
But it wasn't easy.
And I know a lot of you guys aresort of in that place right now.
(25:26):
Maybe your kids are leaving forschool.
It is this identity phase whereyou all of a sudden realize I
don't really know what I wantanymore.
And it's very easy to look atthat person next to you and say,
but it's not this, right?
And maybe that is true.
And maybe it is, and maybe thatrelationship has run its course
(25:46):
for you.
But maybe also it's time for youto reconnect with yourself in a
different way.
And I invite you to do that.
If that is something that'scoming up for you, I'm just
gonna tell you right now, it isnot super fun.
But on the other side of that iseverything you want.
Everything you want is in life,is on the other side of you
(26:11):
keeping yourself safe andcomfortable.
Because remember, yourunconscious mind is gonna do
anything to keep you safe andalive.
It's that's its only job.
And so, unless you really shinea light on that, look at it with
honesty and vulnerability, you're not gonna move in a
different direction.
(26:32):
So get really honest withyourself, especially if you're a
woman in your 40s or 50slistening to this or watching
this.
What do you really want?
And if you don't know, if you'relike, I don't know, what do you
not want?
Start there.
Start with some contrast and seeif you can reverse engineer it.
But also, my best advice is totune in to your heart center.
(26:55):
Okay, because you really doknow.
Your higher self does know.
You just need to be a littlemore connected to it.
And to do that, you have to beregulated.
Your nervous system has to becalm.
You can't be in fight or flightand listen to what's trying to
drop in.
You have to be open to receiveit.
So that's why I do a lot of thework that I do.
I'm constantly trying to remindeveryone, and especially my
(27:17):
coaching students, that we needto be honoring that part of
ourselves.
And whatever that looks like foryou, for some of you, that's
gonna look like putting yourfeet in grass and getting in
nature.
For some of you, it's gonna feellike sitting in water.
For some of you, it's gonna bemeditation.
This has a lot to do with yourpersonality, your human design,
(27:38):
your astrology.
I don't care if you think thatstuff is woo-woo.
I'm telling you right now, it'snot because I have worked with
enough people and pulled intheir charts and helped them
sort of refine things, and thechanges are dramatic and fast.
So, yeah, we do a lot of likeunconscious mind work, hypnosis,
all of that stuff.
(27:58):
But there's that little missingpiece too.
If you haven't like looked atthat, I invite you to look at
your human design at least.
Human design, gene keys, astrology, those are like my
favorite tools.
I am not an expert on any ofthose, but I know enough about
it to integrate that into acoaching container for somebody.
(28:21):
I even do it in my elevategroup.
Like I pull everyone's charts.
And when someone is goingthrough like a hot seat thing
and we need to like go throughsomething and work through
something, I pull up their chartso I can see it while I'm
talking to them.
That helps inform the way thatI'm going to coach them because
everyone is unique.
Yes, everyone is designed in abeautiful and intentional way.
(28:44):
And I really, really want peopleto not only learn all of these
little self-awareness tools sothat they can do this on their
own.
Like I don't want people to needme forever.
Um, I also want people to feeldeeply, deeply seen at all
times.
And for me, I need these toolsto help me help you feel that
(29:07):
way.
If that makes sense.
So that's a big reason why I usethose tools in my coaching.
So I just wanted to bring thatto the table.
It's been on my heart, it's beenon my mind because I've been
hearing it and seeing it.
And I felt like I just needed tolet you guys know because I feel
like a lot of you guys arethere.
(29:28):
And if you are, I just want toremind you that there is support
for you.
There's so much support likeonline.
And I know it can feel likeoverwhelming because you don't
even know where to start.
I would at least just invite youto start by looking at where are
you staying comfortable?
And how can you cause a littlebit of friction so that you can
(29:50):
start to feel into is no longerfor you, so that you can find
what is for you.
I love this phase of midlife, honestly.
Like, Everybody's kind of alwaysitching about getting older, but
man, it's kind of cool, right?
Like you get so muchperspective.
They call it wisdom.
(30:11):
I think it really is.
It's perspective.
Like you you get like this verydifferent perspective.
And those of us who are drawn toenergy work and healer work and
all that stuff.
Like I was a massage therapist.
I've certified in Reiki and allof that stuff.
Those of us who are like intothat, we know we can feel a
(30:32):
shift is coming.
We know a shift is coming, abig, big, big shift in humanity
is coming.
And I don't know exactly what myrole is in that, but I do feel
like a part of it is me using myvoice to say it.
Because if any of you guys outthere, just as a side note, have
thyroid issues like I do, that'sa big piece of it.
Is that what are we not saying?
(30:54):
What are we not saying?
Say the thing.
Okay.
That is a huge lesson that Ihave been working on.
I am still working on it.
I still hold it in my bodythere.
So, like my thyroid is betterbecause I've been taking
medicine for that.
But it moves to the neck, likethe back of the neck.
I have chronic issues with myjaw and my neck.
(31:15):
And I know, I know I'm stillholding stuff there.
So that is what I'm working on.
And it is not fun.
And I have not wanted to do itbecause I know that I'm holding
some really deep trauma in myjaw and my neck, and in just
like this throat chakra ingeneral.
But it's time.
It's time.
So I might start saying someshit that you guys might not
(31:37):
like.
That's okay.
I'm not gonna go off the deepend, like you know, well, I
don't know.
Honestly, I don't know.
You might think I'm gonna go offthe deep end.
I'm just gonna like let youknow.
I am kind of done with notsaying the thing.
And if whatever I say doesn'talign with you, that's okay.
(31:58):
It's fine.
Like you don't have to followme.
I wish you all the joy and peaceand you know, all the good
things in your life.
It's all right.
But I I'm kind of done.
I'm kind of done not saying theshit that I want to say.
So all right, let's talk aboutBlack Friday for a second before
we log off because I have a veryfull calendar of podcasting
(32:19):
batching today.
So, and if any of what I'msaying aligns with you and
you're like, yeah, that's whereI am at too.
I have something really funcoming for Black Friday.
So that's a nice little segueinto what I'm offering for Black
Friday.
So I'm gonna share my screenreally quickly for those of you
who are watching on YouTube, butI'm gonna talk through it too,
so you don't have to bewatching.
(32:40):
You can be listening.
I'm gonna explain each thingbecause yes, I've got a lot of
my photography stuff on sale, but I have something really,
really awesome for anybody whohas been sitting in this sort of
like place of uncertainty for alittle bit and who is exhausted
as we end like end 2025.
Um, so I have an offer for BlackFriday that I think a lot of you
(33:03):
guys are gonna love.
All right, so this is the mainsales page for my Black Friday.
Um, so first of all, before Ieven get into like my own Black
Friday deals, I get a lot ofquestions about my website.
I have my website and my salespages, all they're all templates
from Tonic and it's built onShow It.
And Tonic is having a fantasticBlack Friday sale.
(33:24):
So I'm gonna link that in theshow notes as well.
And it's also at the bottom ofthis page.
Like if you go all the way backto the bottom of my page, you'll
this will this will take youthere.
Because they are offering somereally amazing Black Friday
deals.
If you are in the market for anew website, and it is so easy
to do this, it's drag and drop.
And again, I get so manycompliments from my website, you
(33:45):
guys.
Okay.
So here's my little sales page.
This is the class that I wastalking about.
Before you slam your laptop shuton 2025, make your future
unavoidable.
Okay.
We're gonna design yourfive-year plan, but I don't want
you to get all like in your headabout, oh my God, I am too
tired.
I don't want to even think about2026 right now.
(34:05):
I get it.
This is different.
Okay.
This is a very nervous systemsupportive class.
And we're gonna be doing someunconscious work in this.
And we're also gonna be using AIto get us there faster and more
efficiently.
But it's really like a return toyourself because I do want your
five-year plan to beunavoidable.
(34:27):
I don't want you in your own wayanymore.
How many times have you saidthat?
I just got to get out of my ownway.
I hear it on my calls all thetime.
So on December 10th at 9 a.m.
Pacific time, I'm doing a livetwo-hour Zoom masterclass for
creative entrepreneurs who aretired of repeating the same year
and ready to build a five-yearvision.
Okay.
It's also a brain rewiringvision board movie that we're
(34:49):
gonna create together and anAI-supported goal system that
makes your next levelnon-negotiable.
Inside of this, I'm gonna walkyou guys through this whole
workshop.
Okay.
It's it's I'm gonna move youthrough it, and then you are
gonna get the replay so that youcan do this on your own as well.
And then you can use it over andover again too.
(35:09):
So this isn't just that goalsetting workshop.
I don't, that's not what this isabout.
It's a guided reset for yourcreative brain, your nervous
system, and your futureidentity.
So inside of it, you're gonnadesign that five-year direction
that can actually feel good inyour body and feel it in your
body so that you create itfaster.
(35:30):
Because we don't create in uphere in our mind, we create in
our body.
We're also going to create yourfuture self-vision board movie.
Uh it's a little brain hack thatyou can use daily so that you
can live in this place where youwant to be.
And we're gonna map out the nextyear as well as the next 90 days
with clarity so that you canwalk away with an AI-supported
(35:52):
system that makes your nextlevel inevitable.
Okay.
So it's not just this planningthing, it's about becoming this
version of you who creates whatshe says she wants.
So when you click this, it'sgonna take you to the actual
sales page.
So there's three differentpricing tiers to this.
For Black Friday, it is only$111.
(36:12):
It's gonna go up after December1st to$197 for the rest of
December.
So, like you don't have to likewatch it live.
You can re get the replay, butit'll go up in price from$111 to
$197.
And then I'm still gonna offerit January through March on its
own for$297 so that you stillcan do it next year.
(36:33):
But for$111, even if you don'tjoin us live and you want to do
this in January, highly suggestyou just jump on the Black
Friday price because it's notgoing to be any cheaper than
that.
Also, the first 20 people whobuy get something special.
So that's gonna, this whole pageis gonna walk you through
everything, what it is, who it'sfor, who it's not for, what
(36:54):
we're gonna do, and why youmight want to do it.
And then the first 20 people aregonna get what I'm calling a
spoonful of alignment.
So basically it's likebite-sized one-day voxer
sessions with me.
If you've ever wanted to coachwith me, but it hasn't been
feasible, this is your shot.
Okay.
It's a it's a full day of goingback and forth on boxer with me.
It could be about anything.
It could be about your business,it could be about life coaching,
(37:16):
it could be like get out of myown head, what, whatever, right?
We're gonna get to the bottom ofit in one day.
So the first 20 people are gonnaget that.
Also, everyone who purchasesduring the Black Friday sale is
also going to receive my wintersolstice 13 wishes ritual.
You guys have probably done thisbefore, maybe your own 13
(37:37):
wishes.
This is a really great way toend the year.
It's low lift, like you don'thave to do a whole lot.
It's super fun.
It's very witchy and magical.
And I love to do this every yearmyself.
So I'm going to give you my sortof like protocol for it, um,
suggestions on what to includeand all of that, so that you can
(37:58):
do that on your own as well.
And I'm also gonna start aprivate group messaging thread
on um Instagram, like a privatechat for everybody who wants to
join.
You don't have to join, um, sothat we can talk through it
daily during those 13 days,because it's a 13-day ritual and
it starts on the wintersolstice, which is such a
(38:18):
magical day.
Okay, so that's gonna be superfun.
Um, and I did not chooseDecember 10th, the date, just
blindly, by the way.
Um, first of all, I wanted to doit early enough in December for
those of you guys who wanted tolike just clock out, right?
And like close that laptop andbe present for the holidays.
(38:39):
But I also chose December 10thbecause the moon is in Virgo,
which is the energy of groundedclarity and systems and
precision.
And I am a Virgo.
I have like, I have lots andlots of stuff in Virgo.
And then Neptune is also finallymoving direct, which is
astrology speak for the fog islifting, and your long-term
vision and intuition is gonnacome back online.
(39:00):
So we have supportive skies forall the things that we're gonna
be doing during this workshop.
So you and your future self areboth invited.
All right, so that isunavoidable.
And then down below, you'regonna see all the other stuff.
You can get 70% off my creativeteam method.
This class is normally 997.
(39:21):
If you have been trying to builda senior rap program that
actually works for today'steenagers, this is what you
need.
And it'll, it's never this lowin price.
So you need to grab that, levelup.
This is something that I'moffering this year.
This is my all-in deep divecourse for senior photographers.
It is literally the blueprint.
It's a business in a box.
(39:41):
I teach you everything you needto know on how to build or
revamp your senior business sothat you are profitable.
I teach you sales, I teach youmarketing, I teach you shooting
and editing and all the things.
This is 50% off.
That is an insane deal for this.
So if you are looking to build asenior business, you need this
program.
And then I also am just doing mypricing and sales class for 50%
(40:04):
off.
If all you need is some pricingand sales, you want to learn how
I do that for in-person salesand how I make three to$4,000
every single client easily.
And my sales sessions only takean hour to an hour and a half
max.
This is the class that teachesthat.
I also have my custom GPT seniorSunday, the marketing GPT for
high school senior photographersfor 50% off.
(40:26):
You're gonna want to grab that.
And I have calibrate, which ismy private podcast.
It's where I put all my hypnosistracks, all my activations.
This is going up in price nextyear because I'm gonna start
adding to it a lot.
You are locked in at the pricethat you buy it for.
So even when I start adding itin like in a couple of years, it
would be a very robust program.
You will have bought it for 50%off.
(40:48):
And then I'm also offering an AIbundle.
So this is three AI classes forone low price.
I also am gonna be adding somestuff to this page later in
addition to the tonic.
So I'm gonna be featuring someother Black Friday deals that I
think are phenomenal for youguys.
Tonic is one of them.
And I'm also going to be addingsome of my really good friends,
their classes and offers, because I want you guys to know
(41:11):
what they're offering becausethey're amazing.
So I'm gonna be adding some ofthose to the page as well over
the next couple of days.
I'm recording this like a weekbefore this show comes out.
This show comes out the daybefore Thanksgiving.
So you've got a couple days, andjust as a little secret, it's
already live.
So I am not, I am not all aboutlike creating more work for
(41:33):
myself or my assistants.
They're just live right now.
So if you're listening to thison Wednesday, the day before
Thanksgiving, you can get allthose deals right now.
You get an extra couple days.
So that's the deal for BlackFriday.
If you guys have any questionswhatsoever, please reach out.
Happy to chat on Instagram.
And I am signing up Elevateright now.
That is not discounted.
(41:53):
It's not a Black Friday deal.
We sign up for six months whenwe sign you up for that.
And we're starting in January.
This is my container for highvibe photographers.
It is female only.
It is a small group.
I cap it.
We don't like to take a lot ofpeople on because I love the
integrity of this group.
The vibes are super high.
The women are amazing in thisgroup, and I've been working
(42:16):
with most of them for years.
So I'm very protective of thegroup, but I'd love to have you
if you feel called to it.
Okay.
So the link for that is alsobelow in the show notes.
Click the page, you'll read allabout it.
And when you click sign up orapply, that's what you're gonna
do.
You have to apply to joinElevate.
And so all the information, thepricing is on the page.
And then click apply, fill outthe form, and I'll be in touch
(42:39):
to see if it is a good fit foryou.
Um, I want it to be the rightfit.
And it's not for newbies.
Like if you're a newphotographer, go and grab my
business in a box.
Go grab level up because that iswhat you need.
Um, or sign up for coaching withme.
I am signing up one-on-oneclients for 2026 right now, but
we do need to hop on a call forthat.
So again, that link is belowtoo.
(43:00):
Grab a call with me.
Let's chat and see, you know, where I think you'd best fit.
If you have questions, I'm happyto chat with you guys about that
because I don't want you to getanything that you don't need.
And I don't, I want you to be inthe right container.
And I know I offer a lot ofstuff.
I know it can be a lot, but I'mtrying to make it very
streamlined for you guys.
And sometimes the best way to dothat for me anyway is to just
(43:22):
like hop on a call or send yousome voice notes on Instagram.
And I'm happy to do that too.
So I hope you guys have a greatrest of your week.
I hope that you find someamazing Black Friday deals.
Um, let's try and keep buyingfrom solopreneurs like ourselves
and supporting small businesses.
That's always my goal for thisentire time frame.
Yeah, it's awesome to get a gooddeal online, you know, on the
(43:45):
big box stores, but I reallylove supporting female-run
individual solo businesses.
So if you guys have any that youlove, send them to me in a DM at
Renee Bowen on Instagram.
I would love to find outspecifically if you have
somebody who makes beautifuljewelry.
I'm really into that, or candlesor anything mystical.
(44:05):
Okay.
Like just send them my way.
I love that stuff.
So thanks again for being here, and uh, I'll talk to you guys
soon.
Love you.
Bye.
