Mark Medley (00:03):
Well, as the band is coming up, we're getting
ready to start our celebrationtonight.
I just want to take a minute toacknowledge that there are some
of us in the midst of thisevening of joy that maybe our
joy is a little bit mutedtonight because we've
experienced a loss this year.
And for those of us who are inthat camp, I just want to just

(00:27):
say a few words and pray for us.
This time of year can bedifficult for us, but these are
the very pains that Christ camein the world to heal and in a
sense it's a very real.
Reason that we celebrateChristmas is that God himself

(00:49):
stooped down and stepped intoflesh and he entered our broken
world and he did not look downfrom afar, but he took upon
flesh and he came to be Emmanuel, god with us.
My favorite poem is actually aChristmas poem and it's by Lucy

(01:13):
Shaw.
It's called Mary's Song.
It's a beautiful poem thatviews the incarnation of Jesus
through the eyes of Mary, hismother.
So it's a mother's viewpoint.
So if you can think of Marylooking down at her sleeping
child as I read portion of thispoem, quiet he lies, whose vigor

(01:35):
hurled a universe.
He sleeps whose eyelids havenot closed before His breath, so
slight it seems no breath atall.
Once ruffled the dark deeps tosprout a world Older than
eternity.
Now he is new, now native toearth.

(01:57):
As I am nailed to my poorplanet, caught then I might be
free, blind in my womb.
Are you despised?
So was he.

(02:23):
Are you feeling searing pain ofrejection?
So did he.
Are you a person of sorrows?
So is he.
In fact, the only wounds thatwe're going to see in heaven are
the wounds of our man ofsorrows, the suffering servant

(02:48):
king, who chose in his glorifiedbody to maintain those wounds
as proof of his love, as proofof his fellowship of our
sufferings.
So the Jesus that we sing oftonight is the one who laid
aside his glory and came toearth to feel our pangs of

(03:10):
hunger and thirst and longingand emotional pain.
And though he is high above theheavens, yet he stoops down to
lift the needy.
He's near to the brokenhearted.
The Lord upholds all who arefalling and he raises up all who

(03:30):
are bowed down.
And a bruised reed he will notbreak when we're lonely and
vulnerable.
He does not scorn.
He lifts us and even now he'sin work in our wounded hearts,
expanding them to know him more, pouring in the balm of his

(03:51):
presence and his love throughhis spirit and through his
people.
And Jesus said blessed arethose who mourn, because they
will be comforted.
We who mourn will know God inways we've never dreamed of, and
from the soil of our sorrowwill spring strength and praise

(04:14):
from hearts that truly knowtheir God.
So be encouraged.
Even now he's with us.
Even now he's working inside ofus.
We're not abandoned, we're notorphans.
Let me pray for you, father.
I thank you for the promise ofJesus.
I thank you for the heart thatyou have, from which this

(04:37):
promise springs.
I thank you that we have aSavior who is a man of sorrows
and acquainted with sufferingand grief, and tempted in every
way, as we are yet without sin.
So he's able to comfort thoseof us who are suffering, and I
pray for every heart tonightthat's breaking or suffering for

(04:59):
any kind of loss, lord, lossthat's loss of a loved one, or
loss of a relationship, or lossof a dream, or loss of
expectations that weren't met.
Lord, all of these things thatyou have also felt.
I pray, god, for all of ourhearts who are feeling this

(05:21):
point of emptiness, this pointof pain.
Lord, I thank you that you meetus in that point of pain and
that there's a revelation ofemptiness, this point of pain.
Lord, I thank you that you meetus in that point of pain and
that there's a revelation ofyourself, lord, that you open
our eyes to see you in freshways.
And I pray, lord, what thepsalmist says in Psalm 126.
I pray that those who go forthweeping, bearing precious seed,

(05:44):
will doubtless come again withjoy, bringing the fruit with
them.
I thank you that fruit comesfrom this, lord, and I thank you
that you gently shepherd oursouls in the midst of our pain
so that we can see the joy ofwalking with you and the joy

(06:04):
that we're never alone.
And I pray for that kind of joyto happen in this season.
I ask you to protect and tocomfort and to grant peace.
Lord, your shalom, yourpresence in the hearts and the
homes of those who'veexperienced loss this year, and
we thank you for that.
Father, thank you for the joythat comes out, the joy that

(06:27):
comes in the morning.
In Jesus' name, amen.

Brooke Medley (06:44):
We're going to start with just a song of
worship.
You're welcome to stand up withus if you'd like to.
We're singing about joy to theworld.
We all know this song, but I'dlike for us to just remind
ourselves that he is our joy, heis our hope, he is our peace in
this season and in every seasonof our joy.

(07:09):
He is our hope, he is our peacein this season and in every
season of our lives.
Thank you, jesus.
Father, I pray that our focusis on you tonight, that we can
just let all of our burdens go,that we can set them at your

(07:30):
feet, that we can just focus inon the story of the gospel this
evening as we worship togetherand bring you honor and praise.
Thank you, lord, amen.
Joy to the world.
The Lord is come.
Let earth receive her King.

(07:57):
Let every heart prepare Himroom In heaven and nature.
Sing In heaven and nature singin heaven and nature sing in
heaven.
Heaven, nature sing.
Joy to the earth.

(08:29):
The Savior reigns.
Let men their songs employWhile fields and flood, rocks,
hills and plains Repeat thesounding joy.
Repeat the sound in joy.
Repeat the sound in joy.

(08:49):
Repeat, repeat the sound in joy.
Oh yeah, oh no more.
Let no more listening Insorrow's door, nor thorns infest

(09:16):
the ground.
He comes to make His blessingsflow, for as the curse is found,
he comes to make his blessingsknown Far as the curse is found.
Far as the curse is found, faras far as the curse is found, he

(09:37):
rules the world.
He rules the world.
He makes the nations prove theglories Of his righteousness,

(10:10):
wonders of his love, wonders ofhis love, wonders, wonders Of
his love, of His love.

(10:32):
He rules the world with truthand grace and makes the nations
prove the glories of Hisrighteousness and wonders of His

(10:55):
love and wonders of His loveand wonders, wonders of His love
.
Oh, wonders of His love, oh,wonders of His love.

(11:28):
Let Him open up, let it open up, let it open up, Let Him open
up To receive the King.
Let it open up, let it open up,king, to receive the key.

(11:52):
Oh, the reason is righteousness, glories of His righteousness,

(12:28):
and wonders of His love, andwonders of His love, and wonders
, wonders of His love.
He's the Lord.

Tyler Lynde (12:52):
So here we are this evening to answer one question
Is he worthy?
And if he is worthy, what of it?
The age-old case of Christversus my doubts, my shame, my
disdain has he really earned mypraise?

Hannah Silverberg (13:20):
Advent is the time of year when earth holds
its breath and waits.
Advent is the time of year whenearth holds its breath and
waits.
In the silence of a snow-fallenwinter, you can almost hear the
earth groaning, groaning underthe weight of sin, of grief, of
what is and what never shouldhave been.
Do you hear it?

(13:42):
Do you feel it?
Waiting is cold and empty.
Waiting is Adam and Eve hidingin the garden, hagar in the
desert, job deep in grief, mosesin the basket, joseph in a
prison, rahab in Jericho, danielin the lion's den, jonah in the

(14:03):
belly, hannah crying for a babe, ruth on the threshing floor,
david hiding in a cave.
Waiting is a pregnant womanbeing turned away.
When all seems lost in thedeepest sorrow, when you wish to
not wake up tomorrow, there issomething all more precious here

(14:25):
that doesn't shy away from fear.
A hope, though frail, is hardto kill.
And as the earth seems to still, let me join the angels,
proclaim the news, good news, gospel of hope for me and you.
Glory to God in the highest andon earth, peace, goodwill

(14:46):
toward men, because the Christwho came at Christmas is the God
who wants to dwell, is the Kingwho is coming again.
You see, heaven loves thewaiting.
A countdown for the big event, when we are lost in the longing,
is when angel choirs begin tosing O come.

Brooke Medley (15:08):
O come, emmanuel, and ransom captive Israel that
mourns in lonely exile hereUntil the Son of God appear.

(15:34):
Rejoice, emmanuel, shall cometo thee.
O Israel.
O come thou Dayspring.

(16:00):
Come and cheer our spirits bythine advent here and rife away
the shadows of night and piercethe clouds and bring us light.

(16:26):
Rejoice, rejoice, emmanuelShall come to thee.
O Israel.
Israel O come.

(16:46):
Desire of nations, bind allpeoples in one heart and mind.
Bid thou our sad division ceaseand be thyself our King of

(17:12):
peace.
Rejoice, rejoice, emmanuelShall come to thee.
O Israel, rejoice, rejoice, emmanuel shall come to thee, o

(17:47):
Israel.
Shall come to thee, o Israel.

Tyler Lynde (18:17):
Redeem, restore.
We dare to question, secondguess and even despise this.
God does not shy away from ourquestioning, but he opens his
whole filled hands to Thomas andinvites us to come and see the

(18:40):
man of sorrows acquainted withgrief.
Is he worthy of our time, ourtalent, our treasure?
Let us look back, make ourmeasure and be sure Is he worthy
?
He is everything the seed of awoman in Genesis 3, serpent

(19:02):
crushing heel bitten for you andfor me.
He was despised and rejected bymen.
A man of sorrows and acquaintedwith grief, and as one from
whom men hide their faces.
He was despised and we esteemedhim not.
In Rome ruled Nazarethareth.

(19:23):
An angel meets a girl.
10 generations of withheldwaiting, 400 years of earth
groaning, heaven comes down andmeets a girl.
That can't be right, but it isthe upside down.

(19:45):
Kingdom is coming at last.
The king is coming, oh yes, atlast.
Surely he will be triumphantand militant, ruling.
Oh no, he's coming, humbly, aninfant cooing.
Why would God, creator, sustainer, holy, righteous and

(20:09):
crowned, take off his robes andlet himself be held by his
mother, mary, young unsure, andhis father, joseph, frightened
all the more?
They must have found him worthy.
Mary, maybe 15, suddenly givesup everything Her reputation,

(20:33):
her future, her life.
And Joseph, betrothed to Mary, feeling betrayed, sleeping alone
.
When suddenly he's met with anangelic dream from the God on
high, he changes his plans.
He gives Mary her life so thatthey could together raise the
life Not the people I wouldchoose, perhaps, but it was

(20:58):
spoken before the king born of avirgin raised by David's son in
a town called Bethlehem.
For to us a child is born, tous a son is given, and the
government shall be upon hisshoulder and his name shall be
called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, everlasting Father,

(21:23):
the Prince of Peace, of theincrease of his government and
of peace there will be no end Onthe throne of David and over
his kingdom, to establish it andto uphold it with justice and
with righteousness from thistime forth and forevermore, the

(21:44):
seal of the Lord of hosts willdo this.

Brooke Medley (21:54):
In the darkness.
We were waiting, without hope, without light, till from heaven
you came running.
There was mercy in your eyes Tofulfill the law and prophets.
To a virgin came the Word Froma throne of endless glory To a

(22:18):
cradle in the dirt.
Praise the Father, praise theSon, praise the Spirit.
Three in one.

(22:39):
God of glory, majesty, praiseforever Son, praise the Spirit.
Free in one.

(23:13):
God of glory, majesty, praiseforever to the King of kings.
We sing Praise the Father, praise the Son, praise the

(23:34):
Spirit, the one God of glory, majesty, praise forever to the
King of kings.

Hannah Silverberg (24:01):
Speaking of things that have been spoken
before.
What about Elizabeth?
Asked to hope once more.
Can you imagine her wide eyeswhen Zachariah came home and
opened his mouth?
But no words came out.
A babe in her womb, once barren, now filled, jumped in
recognition at his cousin,revealed.

(24:21):
How could a child in the wombknow what was held in another,
prophesied long ago?
But back to the baby.
Fully God, fully man, here tolive a perfect life, change the
world without sin.
They traveled to Bethlehem andthere he was lain in a manger
owned by strangers, nothing tohis name.

(24:43):
He wasn't found worthy of roomin the inn, but across the city,
in a sky once dim, dozens ofangels sing and proclaim to
several cold shepherds of thisglorious day.
So the shepherds come running, stumbling, wondering if they'd
become like sheep, him theshepherd, the babe in the hay.

(25:03):
If I were to announce anarrival so fine, I'd proclaim it
to people much more refined.
And while I'm at it, I'dprobably choose a castle, a
mansion, some glorious clothes, though it'd pale in comparison
to his heavenly robes.
But now in the palace, kingHerod, until he is paid a

(25:25):
disturbing visit, wise men fromthe east searching the stars, a
new one appears, abrams promisedand sends them out far they
come bearing gifts, seeking theone they have deemed deserving
of honor, of treasure.
All hail the newborn KingSilent night, holy night.

Brooke Medley (26:00):
All is calm, all is bright round yon.
Virgin mother and child, holyinfant, so tender and mild.

(26:23):
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace, silentnight, holy night.

(26:49):
Shepherds quake at the sight, glories stream from heaven afar.
Heavenly hosts sing alleluia.

(27:15):
Christ the Savior is born.
Christ the Savior is born, silent night, holy night.

(27:45):
Son of God, love's pure light, radiant beams from thy holy face
with the dawn of redeeminggrace.

(28:08):
Jesus, lord at Thy birth.
Jesus, lord at thy birth.

Tyler Lynde (28:33):
Herod fakes a smile and lies through his teeth.
Wise men are warned through aheavenly dream.
Left alone, herod paces, fumes, hatred, seething.
He will not submit to this kidthey call king who cares about

(28:54):
the stars.
I hold the scepter and thecrown, and now there will be
weeping all over the town.
But wait, why should Herod care?
Why so disturbed by aforeigner's tale?
There must be some truth to thestory they told, or else he

(29:16):
would have just let it unfold.
Perhaps that's part of theevidence that you seek, when
just hearing his name causesdemons to shriek, just like Cain
and Abel.
Blood cries from the ground.
Have you ever what heaven hearsnow?
But God is not outsmarted, surprised or distraught.

(29:41):
He is holy and righteous andone who fears not.
The king of heaven's armieswill not be dismayed.
He is here to flip the script, change the ending, save the day
Joseph met in another dream.
Given direction, heaven sentTakes the girl and the babe away

(30:04):
to Egypt, led here and there toand fro, till at last it is
deemed Nazareth.
They should go.
As for us, we could just ignorehim or hate him like Herod.
But what about the temple?
What about Anna and Simeon, whocalled him sacred?

Hannah Silverberg (30:29):
Now, when they had departed, behold, an
angel of the Lord appeared toJoseph in a dream and said Rise,
take the child and his motherand flee to Egypt and remain
there until I tell you, forHerod is about to search for the
child to destroy him.
And he rose and took the childand his mother by night and
departed to Egypt and remainedthere until the death of Herod.

(30:50):
This was to fulfill what theLord had spoken by the prophet
Out of Egypt.
I called my son, then Herod.
When he saw he had been trickedby the wise men, became furious
and he sent and killed all themale children in Bethlehem and
in all that region who were twoyears old or under, according to
the time that he hadascertained from the wise men.

Brooke Medley (31:30):
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet.
While shepherds watch arekeeping.
This this is Christ the KingWhom shepherds guard and angels

(31:54):
sing.
Haste, haste to bring Him, Lord, the.
Babe, the Son of Mary.

(32:18):
So bring him incense golden.
Come, peasant king, to own him.
The king of kings salvationbrings.
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.

(32:40):
Raise, raise a song on high.
The Virgin sings her lullabyJoy, joy.
For Christ is born, the babe, the son of Mary.

(33:06):
Yes, this is Christ, the King, whom shepherds guard and angels
sing Haste, haste to break Himdown, the faithful son of Mary.

Tyler Lynde (33:42):
Let's turn the pages and skip ahead to a dove
coming down from the sky, aheavenly spirit.
Did you hear father say he ispleased with the son, the one
his cousin proclaimed Now off tothe woods For testing, Fasting
Ongoing?
Surely Satan himself Can tripup the king.

(34:06):
I wonder why Satan botheredhimself.
He's the boss of a legion.
Could have sent someone else.
He must have known whom he wastempting.
King never stumbled, wasn'tcaught in the snare, Just quoted
the scriptures that Moseslisted.
Then the angels cared and Jesussaid to him be gone, Satan, for

(34:31):
it is written you shall worshipthe Lord, your God, and him
only shall you serve.
Then the devil left him andbehold, angels came and were
ministering to him.

Hannah Silverberg (34:46):
The Savior sets out, it's time to go
fishing, making disciples of menrough and messy.
A dozen close friends, a dozencompanions, including one with
disdain in his heart.
Bitterness steeped in.
If he's really the king, if heknows everything, why would he
let Judas dwell in the camp, handle the money, eat from his

(35:09):
hand?
What mercy.
He showed compassion again byloving still Judas, knowing
death was his plan.
The king at a wedding, the wineran dry.
Mary came to her son, asked himto intervene.
Jesus not convinced that wasfor him to be doing.
But honor won out and the waterran red, a prophetic image of

(35:32):
his blood to be shed.
It was only the beginning.
His power exploding.
Lepers healed den men raised, his love overflowing.
He broke all their rules andwas abhorred for it.
A sloppy, worthless campaignfrom where some sit, but enough
took notice to make religiousmen tremble.
Their power control, legalismmade example.

(35:56):
His parables taught, rippedapart, turned upside down.
What the leaders had twistedcame undone.
Burdens lifted, yokes lightened.

Tyler Lynde (36:14):
And on and on miracles.
Lives changed until Jesus, in agarden alone and betrayed,
blood, soaked, sweat, hittingthe ground, knowing what he was
awaiting but the King ofheaven's armies, who let himself
be bound, all so that you and Icould be found.

(36:38):
You see, they put him on trial, they accused him and abused him
.
They deemed him worthy of asinner's death, of a mocking,
piercing crown.
They ripped the beard from hisface, the skin peeled off of his
back, nailed him to the cross.

(36:58):
As the earth stops, the king ofheaven takes a final breath and
with the exhale, the eartherupts.
As the earth, the worthy one, the, the only son, hangs dead
upon the cross, the sky turnsblack and the ground shakes.
The veil rips and hellcelebrates.

(37:22):
A roman soldier on his facesays surely this was the son of
god.
They placed him in a borrowedtomb, rolled the stone and
sealed it shut and all of asudden, the light of heaven was
in the dark.

Brooke Medley (37:44):
The moon and stars.
They wept the morning sun wasdead, the Savior of the world
was fallen, his body on thecross, his blood poured out for
us the weight of every curseupon Him, upon him.

(38:17):
When final breath he gave.
As heaven looked away, the Sonof God was laid in darkness.

(38:39):
A battle in the grave, a war ondeath was waged.

Tyler Lynde (38:57):
The power of hell forever broken.
Can you imagine the disciples'despair, mary's grief, peter's
shame?
All hope seemed lost.
Darkness reigned, but the Kingis worthy of his name.
Death was really just thewaiting place.
While they were all weeping andmourning and distraught and

(39:22):
questioning everything that theyhad ever thought, heaven held
its breath and counted to three.
You see, the hope of Christmas, the hope of waiting is that the
story isn't over.
When all hope seemed lost, jesus fought and won the keys of
death, hell and the grave.

Brooke Medley (40:15):
The King of heaven, now gloriously raised.
Now, death, where is your sting?
Our resurrected King hasrendered you defeated.
Forever.
He is glorified, forever.

(40:40):
He is alive.
He is alive.
The ground began to shake.
The stone was run away.
His perfect love could not beovercome.

(41:02):
Now, death, where is your sting?
Our resurrected King hasrendered you defeated.
Our resurrected King hasresurrected you to be Forever.
He is alive, and mine Forever.

(41:25):
He is alive.
He is alive.

(41:47):
You are alive.
You are the Lord.
You are the Lord, you are theLord.
You are the Lord.
We sing.
We sing hallelujah, we singhallelujah, we sing hallelujah,

(42:13):
we sing hallelujah, we singhallelujah, we sing hallelujah.
The Lamb has overcome and wesing hallelujah, we sing
hallelujah, we sing hallelujah,we sing hallelujah.

(42:33):
The Lamb has overcome.

Hannah Silverberg (42:48):
The women were the first, he told.
And then it spread likewildfire.
Now behold the Savior, lord andfriend, with holes in his hands
.
He loved them, saved them, restored them and warned them
that waiting was coming.
But not to fret, there would bea helper.
Heaven sent and with that andinstructions to sow wide and far

(43:13):
, he raised up his hands andthey watched him ascend.
But now what they must havewondered, waiting in the
darkened cold of Jerusalem room.
Beloved this God is alwaysworth the wait because his gift
is of himself.
His Holy Spirit sets ablaze thehearts and tongues of the

(43:34):
believers.
The resurrection is madeindwelling and the believers
scatter, making disciples, saving lives, souls, the only
thing that matter.
They multiplied quickly andencountered great trial.
The price of his name evergrowing Stephen, the first to
his name, ever growing Stephen, the first to deem him worthy of

(43:54):
all, cries out to heaven as theymake him fall.
And when the members of theSanhedrin heard this, they were
furious and gnashed their teethat him.
But Stephen, full of the HolySpirit, looked up to heaven and
saw the glory of God and Jesusstanding at the right hand of
God.
Look, he said, I see heavenopen and the Son of man standing

(44:18):
at the right hand of God.
At this, they covered theirears and, yelling at the top of
their voices, they all rushed athim, dragged him out of the
city and began to stone him.
Meanwhile, the witnesses laidtheir coats at the feet of a
young man named Saul.
While they were stoning him, stephen prayed Lord Jesus,

(44:41):
receive my spirit.
Then he fell on his knees andcried out Lord, do not hold this
sin against them.
And when he had said this, hefell asleep.

Tyler Lynde (44:57):
The call of Christ is a weighty thing.
While the yoke is easy, thecost is high.
Even now, holy Spirit indwells.
God is with us, emmanuel In ournew position.
With him we rule and we reign.
But there is still so much morefor which we can hardly wait,

(45:20):
but tarry we will and ache we dofeel the whole earth continues
to groan, groaning under theweight of sin, of grief, of what
is and what never should havebeen.
Do you hear it?
Do you feel it?
We are here, weary, waiting, worn, remembering when the

(45:44):
Savior was born.
Every day we must pick up thecross, thankful we are no longer
lost in the hustle and bustlein Satan's biggest schemes.
All of hell is screaming todistract us from the king, and
so today we must answer thisquestion is he worthy?

(46:06):
Is he worthy of our time?
Is he worthy of our treasure?
Is he worthy of our life?

Hannah Silverberg (46:18):
And what more shall I say For time would fail
me to tell of Gideon, barak, samson, jephthah, of David and
Samuel and the prophets who, through faith, conquered
kingdoms, enforced justice.
Prophets who, through faith, conquered kingdoms, enforced
justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword,

(46:38):
were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put
foreign armies to flight.
Women received back their deadby resurrection.
Some were tortured, refusing toaccept release so that they
might rise again to a betterlife.
Others suffered mocking andflogging and even chains and

(46:58):
imprisonment.
They were stoned, they weresawn in two, they were killed
with the sword.
They went about in the skins ofsheep and goats, destitute,
afflicted, mistreated, of whomthe world was not worthy,
wandering about in deserts andmountains and in dens and caves

(47:19):
of the earth.
And all these, though commendedthrough their faith, did not
receive what was promised, sinceGod had provided something
better for us, that, apart fromus, they should not be made
perfect.

Tyler Lynde (47:37):
Are you ready for the hope of Christmas?
Catch your breath, listen in.
The author of salvation hasn'tyet put down his pen.
The king is coming.
The king, the worthy one, theonly son.
The king, once broken andbruised, now robed and seated at

(48:01):
the right hand of the father.
It's been his plan since thevery beginning.
The God born to die, to dwell,to deliver, is coming again to
rule, to reign, to restore, tomake all the wrong things right
again and make all the badthings untrue, to break the seal

(48:23):
and open the scroll and to makeall things new.
He is everything, as he said hewould be.
He fulfilled 400 prophecies, everything he said he would be.
He fulfilled 400 prophecies theson of suffering, the prince of
peace, the Lord of lordsacquainted with grief.
The king is coming, listener,he's coming for you and for me.

(48:44):
I implore you, I beg of you, don't keep him waiting.
Declare with full-throated tonehe is worthy, he is worthy, he
is worthy of all.

Brooke Medley (49:08):
Do you feel the world is broken?
We do.
Do you feel the shadows deepen?
We do.
Do you know that all the darkwon't stop the light from
getting through?
We do.

(49:29):
Do you wish that you could seeit all made new?
We do.
Is all creation groaning?
It is, it is, it is, it is.

(50:08):
Is it good that we remindourselves of this?
It is.
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break theseal and open the scroll?

(50:34):
The Lion of Judah who conqueredthe grave.
He is David's root and the lambwho died to ransom the slave.
Is he worthy?
Is he worthy Of all blessingand honor and glory?

(50:59):
Is he worthy of this?
He is.
Does the Father truly love us.
He does Does the.

(51:20):
Spirit move among us.
He does.
And is Jesus our Messiah forever.
Those he loves, he does.
Does our?
God intend to dwell again withus?

(51:42):
He does.
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break theseal and open the scroll?

(52:02):
The Lion of Judah who conqueredthe grave he saved his root and
the lamb who died To ransom theslave From every people and
tribe, from every nation andtongue.
He has made us a kingdom andpraise to God To reign with his

(52:28):
son.
Is he worthy?
Is he worthy?
Is he worthy of all blessingand honor and glory?
Is he worthy?
Is he worthy of all blessingand honor and glory?

(52:52):
Is here.
Oh, yes, he is, he is.
He's worthy, he's worthy, he isworthy, he is worthy, he is, he
is, he is worthy, he is worthy.

(53:26):
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break theseal and open the scroll?
The lion of Judah who conqueredthe grave he saved his fruit.

(53:48):
And the lamb who died To ransomthe slave From every people and
tribe, from every nation andtongue.
He has made us a kingdom ofgrace and God to reign with the
Son.
Is he worthy?

(54:09):
Is he worthy?
Is he worthy of all blessingand honor and glory?
Is he worthy of this?
He is, he is.

(54:43):
He is worthy, he is worthy, heis, he is, he is worthy, he is
worthy, he is, he is, he isworthy, he is worthy, he is, he

(55:10):
is, he is worthy, he is worthy,he is worthy, he is worthy.

Derrick Overholt (55:34):
Is is, is, is, is is is is, is, is, is, is, is
, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is
, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is, is.

(55:54):
A question was asked Is heworthy of your life?
You know, christmas is not justsome nice story.
It's not just something that wedo with our family once a year
to gather us together.
Church is not just some placewe come on Easter and Christmas.

(56:19):
There's a reason why we're here.
The Son of God came as a baby,a gift that we don't deserve,

(56:44):
and he lived a life that hedidn't deserve.
And he died.
But that wasn't it.
He proved he was God by comingout of the grave.
Oh, but that's just a story,derek.
It's not.

(57:06):
History proves it.
It's not a question of didJesus actually come to earth?
Come on, we count time by Hislife.
Every piece of science that'sfound, every piece of
archaeological digs that's found, proves the Bible over and over

(57:27):
and over again.
It's not a question of wasthere a man named Jesus that
come to the earth?
That's been proven many timesas human history.
And when he died, how can youprove he lived again?
Because hundreds of people haveseen him and the things that

(57:49):
you heard tonight were writtenletters from people who spent
time with him.
Every other religion in theworld talks about him.
They just don't know who he is.
Talks about him.
They just don't know who he is.
But we do because, like youheard, 700 years before Jesus

(58:13):
entered this life as a baby, itwas prophesied In Isaiah and in
Malachi over 400 differentthings was said about this man
how he would come, how he wouldlive, how he would die.
Every single piece happened.
He is the Messiah.

(58:34):
That's not a question of ifit's true.
Jesus said I and the Father areone.
He called Himself God.
Now he's either a lunatic orhe's who he said he is.
You take your pick.
He can't be a good prophet andcall Himself God.

(59:00):
So tonight we see and understandthat the truth is is Jesus
Christ is the Messiah.
He is the King of kings and theLord of lords, and today he's
sitting on the right hand of theFather.
And now we have a choice.
Is he worthy of your life?
He gave us salvation.

(59:23):
It is a free gift, but it's anew life.
It's not one given withsprinkles of your old life.
The old one has to die for thenew one to live.
So to be here tonight and say Isaid a prayer one time when I
was a kid and I've lived likehell.

(59:45):
Afterward You're going to hell.
Listen, there's one way toheaven and that's Jesus Christ.
You accept his gift ofsalvation and you let him change
your life To call yourself aChristian and live like you did

(01:00:07):
before you called yourself aChristian.
You're a liar.
The truth is not in you BecauseGod is not in you.
For Christ to be in your life, your life must change because

(01:00:28):
you've been given new life.
The old one wasn't working foryou.
That's why you seeked after thenew.
Why would we want to continuesprinkling in the old Tonight?
It's time.
It's time to turn your lifeover to God.

(01:00:51):
I would say for some of you,you need to return to God.
But I want to ask the questiondid you ever go to Him to begin
with, or did you just say aprayer one time?
That is not in scripture saythis prayer after me and you're
good for eternity.
No, that is not in the Bible.

(01:01:14):
We come to Jesus.
We believe who he is.
We turn our life over to Him.
He enters us a gift that we donot deserve.
We turn our life over to him.
He enters us, a gift that we donot deserve.
He enters us and he gives usnew life, new life Tonight.

(01:01:46):
Give your life to him, lifeTonight.
Give your life to Him becausehe is worthy of your life.
He is worthy of your life.
You're only here because heallowed you to breathe this
morning.
So if you don't know Him andyou're like, well, I don't

(01:02:06):
really want to turn to life, bethankful to him anyway, because
he's the only reason you'rebreathing.
He's the author of life, he'sthe reason why you have breath
in your lungs and at any momenthe could say your time is
finished Before it's too late.
Give your life to him.

(01:02:29):
This life on earth is notreally life if he's not in it.
So right now, if you feel likeyou know what, it's time, I need
to give my life to Jesus.
I'm tired of living this way.
I need to give my life to Jesus.
I'm tired of living this way.
I want to give my life to you, jesus, and I want to live for

(01:02:50):
you the rest of my days.
Come now.
Come now.
I know your heart's beating outof your chest, but it's because
everything that's within youwants Jesus.
Maybe you're here tonight andyou're saying well, I once

(01:03:15):
followed Jesus, but I let thethings of the world overtake my
mind and my thoughts and Istarted to look like the world
again.
Come to Jesus.
That's what Christmas is about.
It's not for you to get gifts.

(01:03:36):
It's not for you to stress outwith everything that's in you to
give gifts.
It's not about that.
It's about Jesus, who came toearth to save your soul, because
if you don't know Jesus, you'regoing to die and go to hell.

(01:03:59):
That's not my words, that'swhat's in the word of God that
has stood the test of time forthousands of years, thousands,
thousands.
So now, right now, give yourlife to him.

(01:04:22):
We want to pray with you.
So, father, god, right now Ipray across this room.
I know there's some here, lord.
I know that their heart isbeating out of their chest right
now, saying I need this Jesusthat he talks about.
I know it Because I feel yourHoly Spirit calling them God.

(01:04:45):
I feel you in this room and God, whenever you're in the room,
you are light, and darknesscan't exist in a room where
light is.
So that's why they're squirmingin their seat and they're just
wanting me to shut up so theydon't have to hear anymore.
But, god, right now, I pray foryour Holy Spirit to move in

(01:05:08):
this room.
Draw your people to you, lord, god, for their lives to be saved
.
Never be the same, god.
I pray for those who, right now, lord God, have been lied to for
all the years of their life, since they said a prayer one
time when they were a kid.
God, I pray right now that youwould show them they need to

(01:05:29):
turn their life over to you, that they haven't begun a new
life, that their life hasn'tbeen changed because they just
said a prayer one time and theywere promised something that man
can't promise.
And so I just pray over theirsouls right now, in the name of
Jesus.
Right now, you can be saved.

(01:05:53):
Right now, the word of God saysbelieve that Jesus Christ was
risen from the grave, that he isthe Messiah.
Believe, ask him to be the Lordof your life and let him give

(01:06:14):
you new life.
God, don't let us be conformedto the ways of the world any
longer, but let us betransformed by the renewing of
your mind that's given to us inChrist Jesus.
Right now, right now, if yourheart's beating out of your

(01:06:45):
chest, you want to give yourlife to Jesus.
We want to pray with you.
Come now, and no, this is nothow we typically do things, but
I just feel like the Lord'swanting you to come.
He's going to make a publicproclamation right now that

(01:07:07):
you're coming to follow Jesus asHis Savior.

Hannah Silverberg (01:07:15):
Father You're worthy of our life.

Derrick Overholt (01:07:20):
Lord, you're worthy of the strength and the
steps it takes to go forward infront of a lot of people.
You're worthy.

Brooke Medley (01:07:58):
Father, have your way tonight.
He is worthy, he is worthy, heis worthy, he is.

Derrick Overholt (01:08:30):
He is.
He is worthy.
Pray for the lost right now.
Pray for the lost right now.
Each and every person who knowsJesus right now begin to pray
that the lost in this room wouldgive their life to Him, that
the lost in this room would givetheir life to Him, that the
lost in your family would givetheir life to Him.
Pray right now.

(01:08:53):
You know, if you're feeling acall tonight to give your life
to Jesus, that can only be givenby Him and you're saying, well,
if God's real, he would revealHimself to me.
He is right now.

(01:09:14):
The fact that you feel that isgiven by the Holy Spirit,
because the Word says we can'teven come to Him and acknowledge
that we have sinned unless hegave us the understanding of
that.
So the Holy Spirit is speakingto you.
That is God in Spirit speakingto you.
Don't ignore Him.

(01:09:36):
Don't ignore Him.
He's calling you.
Father, we know your calling.

(01:10:27):
I'm here, lord Jesus.
Father, we know your callingand God, I pray that you'd
continue to move in their hearts.
God and I pray, lord.
God, as we go out into thisweek and we begin to celebrate
with our family your birth, god,we begin to celebrate how you
came and made a way for us, god.

(01:10:49):
I pray, lord Jesus, that wewould not keep our mouth shut
when we're around unbelievers.
God, that we would take everyopportunity to talk about how
amazing you are.
God, that we would not keep ourmouths shut because if they go
home and they get in a caraccident and they die, our

(01:11:12):
friends, our family, will not bein heaven with us.
God, I pray right now that youwould give us boldness to go and
speak the name of Jesus out inthis dark world, god.
I pray, lord Jesus, that evenwhen we're sitting around those

(01:11:32):
tables and it's so hard, but youdon't know my family, you don't
know how much is around thattable and some believe that
they're this and they're that, but none of that matters because
you have the hope of heaven andyou need to share that hope.
I need to share that hope.

(01:11:55):
I don't want to get to heavenand look around and see family
members that I was too afraid totalk to not be there.
Father, use us this beautifulservice tonight, lord, with

(01:12:18):
beautiful words, but, god, if wedon't apply it, and we don't
apply it and we don't teach itto others, god, it will never
leave these full walls.
God, use each and every one ofus to share your gospel with our

(01:12:39):
family, with our friends, withour neighbors.
God, use us.
Use us, lord.
We pray for salvation for thelost in our family right now, in
the name of Jesus.

(01:12:59):
God.
We pray for returning of theprodigal son.
In the name of Jesus, god, would you bring them back home?
God?
We pray for all those in ourfamily that are so confused they
don't even know what genderthey are.
I pray right now, in the nameof Jesus, that you would give

(01:13:20):
them strength, right now, lordGod, and you would help them to
see that you are the way, thetruth and the life.
God, for those who havecontinued in sin so far that
they don't even know what rightand wrong is, I pray right now,
in the name of Jesus, that you'dawaken their soul, you'd break

(01:13:41):
the hardened hearts, lord, god, that you'd just shatter the
stone and make it soft again.
And, god, I pray for each andevery single one of us, lord,
god, that you would reveal anywicked way within us.
Lord, god, that we would repentand turn to you in every area

(01:14:04):
of our life.
God, so that, lord, when wewalk out into this world, all
the world will see is you.
We want to reflect you thisseason, lord.
We want to reflect you nextseason, lord.
We want to reflect you in everyseason, lord.

Brooke Medley (01:14:26):
Thank you.

Derrick Overholt (01:14:27):
Lord Jesus.

Brooke Medley (01:14:30):
Thank you, lord Jesus, I exalt thee, I exalt,
exalt me, I exalt thee, I exaltThee, me, I exalt me, you O.

Derrick Overholt (01:15:37):
Lord, we exalt , we exalt me.
We give you praise tonight, lord Jesus.
We exalt Thee.
We give you praise tonight, lord Jesus.
We exalt Thee Name above allnames, we exalt.

Brooke Medley (01:16:00):
Thee, we exalt Thee.

Derrick Overholt (01:16:09):
Oh Lord, king of kings and Lord of lords.

Brooke Medley (01:16:20):
We exalt Thee, we exalt Thee, oh your grace and
mercy.

Derrick Overholt (01:16:25):
We give you praise, lord, we exalt Thee.

Brooke Medley (01:16:35):
Oh Lord.

Derrick Overholt (01:16:43):
Thank you, jesus, jesus Christ, the name
above all names, Emmanuel.
God is with us.
Father, we thank you, we giveyou praise.
We give you praise.

(01:17:08):
You, lord, are worthy of everymoment that we can spend with
you.
God, again, I just pray tonightwith heavy burden in my heart
for the lost in this room.
Lord, right now, in the name ofJesus, come to him.

(01:17:31):
Come to him.
We will be here to pray for you.
It's not too late.
If there's someone still inthis building, we will pray for
you.
Maybe, just maybe, tonight.
You gave your life to Jesus, right where you stood.
If that's true, please tellsomebody.

(01:17:56):
You need to proclaim His nameto the rooftops from the
rooftops.
God, I just pray you bless eachand every person here, god,
that You'd fill them with yourHoly Spirit.
Lord To the Lord, god, that youwould move in and through every

(01:18:18):
family this season.
Lord, god, we pray for aspiritual awakening, not only in
our families, but in America.
Lord, god, we pray, lord Jesus, that you would wake people up
from the darkness that they arein Right now.
Lord Jesus, wake them up, god.

(01:18:45):
God, I love you, jesus.
God, I pray that you wouldbless them and keep them safe,
that you'd let your face shineupon them.
You would be gracious to them, lord, god, that you'd give them
peace.
Peace in Jesus' name.

(01:19:07):
Thank you, lord.
I want to thank each and everyone of you.
I could keep on going all night.
I really feel the Spirit of theLord doing something amazing
here tonight, but while we'retogether, where two or three are
gathered in His name, he is inthe midst.
So he's here and I don't knowabout you, but I've really felt

(01:19:30):
him.
I want to thank Hannah forreally putting that whole thing
together.
Wherever she went, hannah wrotethat.
Thank you for the band doingsuch an amazing job in the choir
.
You know everything that theydid was to give praise to God.
They weren't doing that so thatyou could see them.

(01:19:51):
They would much rather be overin the room with microphones and
just not be seen, maybe justhave a picture of Jesus up here
or something they would, becausethey want to do it to praise
God.
So tonight we're going to gohave some time of community
together.
We're going to have some hotchocolate and some cookies.
Again, we are praying for youup here to get hot chocolate and

(01:20:14):
cookies.
We're going through this lobbyrestroom door just like you
would normally go to get yourcoffee on Sunday morning and
then you can kind of circle backaround, hang out in here if
you'd like, but let's just keepit a little quiet in here so
that if anybody needs a prayer, that we're going to pray for
them.
All right, and so we love youguys so much, want to say Merry

(01:20:35):
