On St. Patrick's Day in 1990, two suspects dressed as Boston Police Officer gained access to the secure Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. They detained the two security guards and then in 81 minutes the stole 13 pieces of art that is valued today at over half a billion dollars. While the FBI came out in 2015 and said they believe they have identified the suspects, they said the men responsible are deceased and the stolen artwork's location and condition remain a mystery.
