Recently, on May 14, 2023, an Idaho jury delivered a unanimous verdict, finding Lori Vallow Daybell guilty on all charges related to the deaths of her two children and her husband's previous spouse. Meanwhile, Chad Daybell is scheduled to face a separate trial in the upcoming year.
During the fifth day of the Vallow Daybell trial, Zulema Pastenes, the widow of Lori's brother, Alex Cox, took to the witness stand. She provided insight into Lori's belief system, shedding light on her convictions regarding the expulsion of evil spirits and her unwavering belief that multiple individuals, including her own children, had fallen victim to demonic possession and subsequent attacks.
