Why do we work? Most of us work but rarely do we reflect on why we work. Upon some reflection, we see that work is necessary to make a living. Of course this is true, but does the answer stop there? As the second world war came to an end, new vocational and economic possibilities showed themselves. Dorothy Sayers provides a Christian answer to why we work and argues that work, and working well, is in our nature and forms part of a well-lived life. Join us as we discuss Sayers and apply to our current context.

Betrayal Season 5

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
