In order to claim that Jesus was required to have faith, we must understand what the term "faith" means. We also covered the term "through faith" - and concluded that it does not refer to Jesus being required to exercise faith during his earthly ministry - as some from one extreme group consistently claim.Today, we will examine the statement, "Jesus needed faith to resurrect from the dead." Did Jesus have to exercise perfect faith in the hope that he would rise on the third day? Or did he KNOW that he would be raised? We will also, once again, identify the conflation of two terms which have completely different definitions: faith and faithful. Can we use these two terms interchangeably? And finally, we will take a look at some of the Pauline verses that the most extreme "Jesus had faith" proponents twist into oblivion with no regard to context.
