Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the
only podcast that wants to get
to know you as much as you wantto get to know us.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm Travis and I'm
here with Jen.
That was a good one.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
That was.
I'm listening.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Actually, that was a
really good intro.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
I do this for a
living, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Well, like you said
it, you're going to get to know
us.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Which is a scary
thought.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Actually it is
because I think we're going to
get to know a lot about eachother.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
So, weirdly, as much
as we know about each other, we
don't know a lot about eachother, that's true.
It's funny because I've hadpodcasts with our friends and
stuff that have gone for yearsand it's almost like when you
watch a TV show and you go, oh,they must be friends in real
life and they aren't, you'reshocked, like I remember the
first time Did you just sayyou're not my friend.
No, we're friends.
(00:40):
But here's what I mean, Forexample no, no, you just found
out.
Live on air.
Wait, what?
We're not friends?
No, no.
But let me give you an examplethe show Mythbusters.
Okay, I used to love that showand I thought all of them were
friends, and I thought, ofcourse, the main two guys, jamie
and I forget what the otherguy's name was, adam.
I thought they were super goodfriends, but they shocked me and
(01:10):
it made me feel weird.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
So if people were to
think that we weren't friends
like outside of this, that mightbe really weird, or they didn't
think about it till just now,and now it's even weirder.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Now I'm gonna have an
existential crisis over whether
we're friends or not.
I think leave us a comment, letus know if you think we're
friends.
But what I think is interestinghere is we probably will learn
about each other a little morehere in, in front of everybody,
which I love.
That type of content, that'sjust different, and I think
we've constantly learned abouteach other through doing these
podcasts as well.
We've learned a lot of thingslike you don't know physics.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
And apparently.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
I don't know how to
say research or something I
don't know.
It's just a lot of weird things.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
There's a lot of
things that come out, and I also
think it's funny because wealmost never agree on anything
100%.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
We agree on a lot of
things.
I think that make us friends.
But there are definite thingsjust outside of that circle
where we're like, and thenthere's things outside of that
we're like nah.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Definitely not.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, which is great.
But the thing about it is, andwhat makes I think this work and
makes our friendship plus theshow work, is that we're open to
all that.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
And we talk about
both sides of all of it.
Yeah, and the way you youapproach things on YouTube is
slightly different than me.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
That's what I'm
saying, Like I don't think we,
like we're definitely not goingto have the same answers to, I
would say, almost every singleone of these questions.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Pretty much the case
and behind the scenes, like we
talk a lot about you know theway we're going to do podcasts
and stuff, and Jenna is verylikes to be organized and stuff.
I love the idea of organization, not that I am organized, I'm
really not organized, I don'treally like to be organized, I
just like the idea of it.
But that's why I like workingwith you is because the things
(02:41):
that maybe I already know aboutmyself that I need structure in,
you bring and I don't know whatI bring to you.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
But it's a balance.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
It is a balance.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
We're balanced yes.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
It's a balance, all
right.
So with that we're going to getstarted.
Of course, welcome again.
We try to help you learn aboutYouTube.
I don't know how much of whatwe're going to.
We're going to do.
We're going to teach by lovethat tie.
We're going to teach by doing.
We are going to have acommunity-based video.
(03:12):
This is basically an episodethat's just for the community.
We don't expect this to goanywhere or have great you know
performance or get new viewers.
We're doing it for the peoplewho love the podcast and we're
just going to talk.
So we'll start that by, ofcourse, the candy thing which
let's talk about.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Candy.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
When we started this
thing, when we took over the
podcast, we never really talkedabout candy.
It randomly came up one time.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Because I couldn't
control myself to stop.
I had to take the candy cornoff my desk before recording,
because I told him I was likelike hold on, I have to go put
this candy corn away because Iwill subconsciously reach into
it, yes, and be chewing itduring the podcast.
And he was like what, yeah?
And I was like yeah, no, I willreach in.
He's like no, no, no, no.
What did you say?
(03:57):
You were eating?
Speaker 1 (03:58):
right, right and then
it became a thing and then the,
the, you know, we went alongagain.
I only expected to be a weeklike we were talking about that
week, and I didn't expectanything else from it.
When we got messages the nextweek I thought it was cute and
funny.
But, when we got messages twoand three weeks later and then
months later, I realized that itwas the community telling us
that there's an aspect of theshow that's silly, that they
(04:18):
enjoy and they like to be a partof it.
They come in and they email usand they tell us what they like,
what candies they like andstuff.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
It's so good though
Cause candy is delicious.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
It is, so let's start
with one.
So I, uh, I'm going to startthis episode with this Now.
I haven't had one of these inforever.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
And I can't remember
if I ever really had one, and
you're going to have one ofthese.
What do you got?
And it's Gushers.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Oh my God, I mean, I
did.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I mean, this is kid
candy 100%, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Wait, that's amazing.
Gushers.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Alright, now it's
open, you go ahead and have
whatever gusher you want.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Let me get a red one
so my mouth isn't bright.
Blue for the rest of the?
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Oh, does that happen?
The episode Did it color yourmouth?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
I'm gonna go safe.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Those are like pure
food color.
I didn't know that I'm going togo safe.
Oh, definitely I would havepicked up a blue one.
Those are like pure food color.
I didn't know that.
I'm glad you told me because Iliterally would have picked up,
my mouth would have been crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh yeah, it's a candy
podcast.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
I got an orange one.
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
There's no way this
is going to be bad.
It's a little bad.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
It's a little bad.
It's a little bad.
It's actually like yeah, it'skind of bad.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
It's kind of bad.
I'm disappointed.
It's kind of bad, bad it's.
It's really not good.
It's not how I remember gusherswhat has happened.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
I think they
literally put everything that's
going to be banned at the end ofthe year into this thing are we
just like, accustomed to likenot trash food now and now?
Speaker 2 (05:42):
we have these old
snacks and we're like, oh god,
do you know that was like fourdollars, god no.
But I'm just like do you know?
We used to eat that like everyday at lunch I didn't good god,
oh my gosh that was terrible, ohmy god.
Well, we might have two badones, because I picked up a
candy that I've never even hador seen before.
Okay, cow tails minis honey bunwhat does that even?
Speaker 1 (06:10):
mean, I have no idea.
That looks like dollar storecandy.
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
that is 100 dollar
store candy cow tails.
I feel like I've seen these no,that is dollar.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Well, yum, yum, yeah,
let's try it cow tails, here we
come, this is terrible.
Why kind of a podcast is this?
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I literally don't
know what is.
This just sounds like a mix of.
I can't even tell you what.
You're not excited.
Oh, it's larger than I expected.
Also, it said it was a bun.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
I just it's not a bun
, this is a stick.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Watch.
This is the best thing you'veever had in your life All right?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
If it is, I'm going
to be upset because I know, oh,
this is like caramel orsomething.
What?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
is this.
What even is this A honey bun.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
It's a honey bun in a
stick form this is oh, it's a
cow's tail.
That's disgusting.
Whoa smell it first.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Is that just like
corn syrup?
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yay, what's the
powder on it?
I have my favorite candy forthe finale.
Okay, well, we'll do that atthe end of the episode.
Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Oh, I don't like it
already.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
There's a lot more
chewing than I thought.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Oh, actually, that's
not as bad as I thought it's not
bad.
Wait, that's not bad.
Why is this better than gushers?
Oh, it's actually.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
it's actually not bad
what's going on.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
It's like it is very,
very sweet for me, but it's not
bad and like it kind of.
It does actually kind of tastelike a cinnabon.
It almost does.
Wow, okay, coming at me withDollar Tree candy.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Will Dollar Tree be
saving on dollars and giving us
good value?
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Wow, honey bun.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
I actually could
recommend this for someone who
just wants to try somethingdifferent.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Run to your local
Cowtail retailer.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
I like that I
actually like it.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Cowtails even make
things for the plug, I know it
CalTale's going to be likethanks for the plug.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
I know they're like
Nobody's heard of us before we
finally got a podcast to talkabout us, Wow Well that was fun.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Actually I'm really
really surprised because that
was not I dig it.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
That was like really
actually not bad.
So why are we doing this?
Okay, we're doing this becausewe got an email.
So, of course, if you want toemail us, it's theboostvidIQcom.
This one comes from Benjamin.
What has Benjamin got to saythis week?
He's a young guy.
The top four YouTubers I wantto meet are GD Colon.
I don't know who that is.
Did I read?
Speaker 2 (08:37):
that right?
I think so.
Is it GD Colon?
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Okay, keeks Crafts,
who I know, that is is logan
paul and, uh, the royal pair.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
What are?
Speaker 1 (08:47):
yours, which we'll
talk about and am I gonna get
canceled because I said loganpaul maybe yes, uh, good
question that's fun so I thinkthis is a good kickoff too it is
because these are all gonna besimilar style questions okay.
Well, let me say I think thenumber one guy I'd like to meet.
I've chatted with in dms before, but I'd like to meet oh, you
(09:08):
slid into his dms yes, would be.
Casey, nice, that great guyokay, right, right, right it'd
be a lot of fun to talk to me um, but a lot of the other
creators that I really wanted tomeet I have met okay um, but I
mean um.
I mean there's like tv peopleand stuff, but I think from
youtuber casey, because I liketo dig into his mindset about
(09:30):
things and just kind of get tosee who casey is outside of the
camera, because I feel likepeople are different in front of
and behind camera okay I'mcertainly definitely so we're
gonna get into that too yeah, um, who's someone you would want
to see?
Speaker 2 (09:46):
um 100.
Number one on my list is beardmeets food like number one
fangirl on youtube 100, I wouldjust eat food yeah, I would.
He's literally my favoriteyoutube channel.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Why, though?
Speaker 2 (09:59):
I don't know, that's
interesting oh my gosh, he's
like the best why, his, hispersonality is like so chill and
he's just like he's doingsomething in such a watchable
way where I think actually likecompetitive eating is like
disgusting and like evenwatching like the hot dog eating
I love watching.
(10:19):
I watch it every, I thinkthat's so gross, like I think
like the way, like I think likethe way like they look at their
ear.
I'm just like, oh my God.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
But like he's just
like chilling talking, like he
doesn't stress the time, likehe'll do challenges and like
he'll stop and be talking tosomeone that walks up to the
table and have like one bite offood left, and it's just like
win it, like he's having a goodtime and it's so different than
like what you expect for acompetitive channel, niche,
(10:49):
space, whatever you want to wrapit all up into, but yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
So here's something I
just realized two YouTubers who
I would have wanted to meet, who I have met.
Now, at this point, you didn'tlike them.
No, I liked him in person,although that's a, that's a
danger.
Be careful.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Never meet your
heroes, never meet your heroes
and they're larger creators.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Both of them have
been to their houses, which is
wild, because the one person'shouse when I went to VidSummit
he actually lived in Texas, buthe has people, for whatever
reason.
He has viewers come to hishouse sometimes, which is a wild
thing.
I just think it's reason he hasviewers come to his house
sometimes, which is a wild thing.
I just think it's now.
He's a nerdy guy, so hisviewership is more nerdy, so
it's probably more safe, but itjust seems like a bad idea.
Uh, this other person who I cantell you off camera, I really
(11:33):
don't want to mention because atthe time they had just moved
and they didn't want anyone toknow they had moved that thing
like they're that big and I justthought I was.
Uh, I was there with a friendand we were going to meet them
for lunch or whatever, but theytook us to their house
immediately, like, oh, just comehere, I'm waiting for a
delivery of something and we'relike okay.
Huge YouTuber.
(11:54):
We had had them on our podcasta while back before, but I
hadn't had a lot of conversationwith them In this damn near
mansion I mean it's not amansion, but it's like a super,
really super nice place that youdo money it had an elevator in
there.
That's how nice this placethat's amazing beautiful place
and they just would treated uslike we were just friends and
(12:16):
just like, hey, hang out andlet's you know how you doing
just amazing, the most amazingtime.
I have so much respect and andadore this person.
Now that I met them in person,I think they're an incredible
person.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Who do you think you
would be best friends with as a
creator?
Oh?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
There have been a lot
of people.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Like you know,
everyone watches someone and
they're like we would be suchgood friends.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah, man, I feel
like I've been fortunate enough
to meet a lot of those people, and I was wrong about some
you're not friends I would stilllike to be their friend and
some of them, but yeah, I mean I, I think I again.
I've just been in a reallyfortunate situation where a lot
(13:02):
of people that I've wanted tomeet I've been been able to meet
Again Casey's, one of the onlypeople that I haven't really got
a chance to meet.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Would you guys be
friends though?
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Casey, I don't know.
He seems quirky enough thatmaybe, maybe not.
I think I'd be his resourcemore than his friend, Like if he
had a question about somethingtechnical or something he'd
reach out to me or something, but I don't even think he would
do that.
But he's not like hey, man, youwant to go for a jog, I can't.
(13:30):
I can't bring your gopro, he'sgonna kill me, he's gonna leave
me.
I'm gonna be in the middle ofnowhere, be like casey left me.
Um, I think that there's a lotof people that I would be very
interested in meeting, from tvshows and stuff like I would
definitely want to talk to therock a little bit, just because
of I used to watch him as awrestler.
Then I would love to talk toDenzel Washington.
I would love to sit down withhim.
I think he's incredible.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
You're reaching for
the stars.
You're asking the question, okay, okay, and like your
personalities are just going toline up, I don't know, you're
just going to click.
Well, you think you would.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
I feel like, because
I've actually interviewed
celebrities before.
I've met celebrities.
So I are a couple of peoplethat are like you, live in the
stars and if I saw you in personI think I'd be like this is
kind of wild and again, at thispoint, it's kind of rare for me.
There's only a few people thatlive in that place, but I do
want to live in that moment andand get to understand what makes
(14:15):
them tick.
I'm more interested in whatmakes someone tick than like
asking them well, what was itlike to be in that movie?
Like that's cool, cool story,bro.
But I'm like, what drives younow?
What's your everyday like whenyou wake up?
Do you go to the grocery storeor can you not even do that?
Speaker 2 (14:32):
What is it like when
you're literally picking up
onions?
You want an insight into theirlife.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
I want to know when
you pick up an onion and some
dude wants a photograph with you, you go.
Listen, I can't right now.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
I can't, even I'm
trying to figure out this onion.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
I don't need a
picture that happens to me like
bi-weekly.
Obvi.
What about you?
Who do you need to meet and bethe best friend with besides?
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Who would I be?
See, I think it's differentthan who you need to meet and
who you would just like vibewith.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Who do you want to be
your good friend?
That's a, I think.
Speaker 2 (14:56):
I would vibe well
with Mia Maples.
I think would be chilling.
I think our personalities are, like I would say, offset enough
that we would balance each other.
I would say like she's a littlebit more awkward like quirky
and like I don't necessarilyassociate those traits with
myself but you think you'd befriendly with her yeah, I think
(15:16):
we, I think that we would befriends, I think like we would
go out and, like, push eachother out of our comfort zones.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Number one, I don't
even know who you're talking
about.
But number two, I agree withyou, mia maples, come on your
name sounds vaguely familiar,but here's why I'm.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
I'm positive, you're
right, you don't watch like
fashion, no, I believe it or not, can you?
Not tell?
What do you mean?
You don't watch her video?
Speaker 1 (15:37):
100 guarantee that
you would get along, because
I've seen it in person.
When we got that YouTuber eventa couple of weeks ago, you
walked up to a couple of ladiesthat were standing there that I
mean I don't think they looklike your vibe or anything and
you guys were hugging on eachother within like two minutes
Like you were best of friends,Like you hadn't seen each other
in years.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
We changed phone
numbers.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
It's wild, it's wild.
I watched it in real time andat first I'm like did you know
them?
Speaker 2 (16:05):
And you're like no,
that's something I get a lot,
though Like do you know them?
And the answer is always no.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
But you started
talking immediately, like you
knew each other.
It was wild.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
This is why my mom
was never afraid that I would
get kidnapped.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
You'd befriend the
kidnapper.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
No, they would return
me with money.
We chose poorly.
You can have her back.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
You need to take her.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Yeah, no, no, no, no,
no.
Would you have another one, canwe?
Speaker 1 (16:35):
exchange you for the
sister we've heard she's much
more valuable.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
she's a little quieter, you can
have her.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
All right, let's go
on to these other questions.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Okay, what you got,
what you got.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
What trend do you
secretly love?
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Oh, my gosh, Okay,
ooh.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
You want me to answer
first?
Yeah, you want an answer first.
You know what I've beenwatching.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
I'm trying to think
of trends right now.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
You know how much
stuff I've been watching right
now about jails.
I watch so much jail contentnow.
Uh, the thing I'm watching atthis moment is, uh, I think it's
not first.
Not first for you, it's likethe first time people get booked
into jail okay.
So there's like there's thiscamera crew that just sits at a
jail and like people as they getbooked in, they like interview
them, it's like and a lot ofthese people first time ever
being arrested for anything.
Sometimes it's something silly,sometimes it's really crazy
stuff and and it's interestingto me to see how people react
when they're in that situation, because some people react, I
(17:29):
think, completely wrong.
It's like, bro, you made thesechoices in your life.
To put you here, um, and somepeople are self, are really
reflective and like I got tostop doing this.
Other people are like it wasdone to me.
So I love that type of content.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
That's interesting.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
I I.
There's something fascinatingabout that and I love the 90
Days In.
I think is what it was calledtoo Another great show where
these people who aren'tcriminals get put into jail for
90 days for a reality show, which is wild.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
That's wild.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
But the people in
jail don't know that they're not
supposed to be there, so theyhave to keep a cover.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Because you do not
want to be in jail and have the
people in jail know that you'rejust part of a tv show, because
they will beat you up.
You gotta walk in and be likeI'm on a tv show and I'm like
she's delusional.
Oh my god, like yeah, yeah, yeah, get your crazy ass back
there.
Like you just gotta go right Ilove that I watch.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
I'm gonna watch it
today.
My mentality what about my?
Speaker 2 (18:22):
mentality.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
What about you?
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Let's see Trend.
Okay, I could say the weirdest.
No, I don't know if that's atrend.
I don't know if I'm watchinganything like really like trendy
.
I mean I do watch.
Like I will fall into, liketrying you know um a compilation
of tiktok, like food trends, like I'll see girls do that on
(18:47):
youtube and make like trying outlike five tiktok, yeah, like
food trends, and I'll watchthrough those, I'll click on
them every time okay but as faras like trends, that's kind of
like the only thing I couldthink of at the moment.
That would make sense.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Yeah, I mean, I don't
know if jail stuff is trending
at this moment.
I think it's just constantlypopular because it's wild.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
You're like, I just
like it.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
I just like it.
Speaker 2 (19:12):
We're talking like
weird things and maybe not even
trending.
I've recently got into watchinglike dumb driver compilations.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
What does that even
mean?
Speaker 2 (19:21):
like people who are
like driving a car, like missing
an entire wheel, like nothing'swrong, like there's like
full-on, like compilation videosof like people who just like
drive through buildings like oneafter another, like horrible
drivers and like nobody getshurt or anything, but it's just
like compilation videos of likedumb drivers.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
I've never heard of
this.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Dumb drivers.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
I don't know what
YouTube was thinking.
Well, I know what they werethinking.
They were like you'll love this.
And I was like, okay, I'll try,I'll watch it.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I'll watch it.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
You know me so well
YouTube.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
YouTube knows me
better than I know myself, which
is basically true for mostpeople, because you'll end up on
the homepage.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
You'll see some
random video, Click it and then
all of a sudden you're like Ican't get enough of people who
bake in their sneakers orsomething weird.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
You?
Speaker 2 (20:10):
know whatever so
crazy.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Can't wait to see
what surfaces next.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yeah, I'm not trying
to watch anything, okay.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Well, what about a
trend you can't stand then?
Speaker 1 (20:23):
I mean most
everything else, I mean I
actually pretty much anything onTikTok All of TikTok.
Everybody on associated withTikTok and shorts.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
No, no, I'm just
kidding, have you ever seen a
trend that just like infuriatedyou.
I think doesn't have to be acurrent one.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
I think a lot of dumb
things, like when, when people
do things that can hurtthemselves, like they turn, they
set things on fire and justokay, just outwardly dumb stuff
is like dangerous tie podchallenge yeah, yeah, that was
like.
What is even that like I?
Think so here's what I think isfunny.
It's not really, it was neverdangerous per se, but like what
(21:00):
was the spoonful of cinnamon?
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah, the cinnamon
challenge.
Youtube banned that.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Which is wild,
because I don't Well you can die
, you can choke.
So because, back to my ex, shechoked on cinnamon.
No, I didn't fool her daughter.
I asked her daughter to do theand she was like okay.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Oh my God, I never
tried it.
Did you try it?
I didn't try it.
I'm not dumb, I wanted someoneelse.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Of course, duh,
that's what you're there for.
In fairness, she was a teenager, teenager, fair, fair, fair.
She had some type of commonsense.
That's funny.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Oh my gosh.
Okay, cinnamon Challenge, thatwas a good one.
I'm trying to think um, I stillthink like my favorite did you
do the ice bucket challenge?
I think everyone did everyonedid yeah I mean, everyone has
done that.
I would say planking was myall-time favorite trend.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
I watched that on the
office or like the mannequin,
oh, are you just supposed to saysomewhere like a mannequin?
Speaker 2 (21:57):
no, like it was like
you'd be like in public or
something and like you literallyjust like be frozen, like you
were like a mannequin no, Iwouldn't do that.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
It's too wild.
I don't think I can some peoplewere scarily good at it do you
feel self-conscious recording inpublic?
Speaker 2 (22:11):
never, you just
whatever, you just yolo yeah,
yeah I do kind of feel self Ihave like no self-awareness, I
would love to see me vlogging inpublic as like another person
and be like oh my god, she'sactually can I vlog, your vlog
she's actually out of her, likeI would love to see.
I've never seen the third personof someone I've, yeah, I've
(22:34):
never seen someone like truly, truly vlogging like.
I've seen people, like you know, making tiktoks or something or
like, which I think is morenormal than not, but I've never
really seen someone like trulyvlogging in the wild.
I would say like regularly, maybe a couple times, like just
maybe in passing, but likenothing I can even like,
(22:56):
remember or stand out to me well, I mean, I've seen, like I've
seen some stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Uh it also.
It's always interesting to seethe kind of behind the scenes.
One thing I've been seeing alot on social media lately is
people filming from a distancesomeone else doing like a tiktok
or something like.
There was this one.
I saw this guy and he was like, and then as soon as he stopped
he was like, he looked like he,he was depressed.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
You know what my
favorite TikTok trend is right
now?
Where it's like you, it's likepeople, it's like things you
should not be doing, like in anairport, and they're like this
on camera.
And then they like set theirphone and their tripod like far
away from them and it's justthem standing like this, like
(23:36):
actually filming there.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
That's funny.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
And it's like in
different situations, and I
think it's just like such afunny trend, like poking fun at
like this exact situation whereit's like what do we actually
look like filming?
Speaker 1 (23:48):
in the wild.
I found this channel the otherday, so I don't know if someone
sent it to me or whatever.
I can't remember it.
The channel's called anythingcan be a podcast.
Did you see this?
It's a guy oh, who's?
In an elevator okay and he'lljust talk about a subject as a
podcast, but he's recording inan elevator which train, like
(24:09):
whoever's in the elevator, keepcoming in and out.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Could you do that?
Speaker 1 (24:12):
no, okay, but he does
the whole thing.
He's like, he's like a youngerkid that's, and they're getting
tons of views.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
It's an amazing
concept.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
It's not really
edited or anything.
He's just obviously got thecamera up at the top and he goes
hi, this is such and such fromAnything Can Be a Podcast, and
we're.
Anything Can Be a Podcast.
Today.
I'm going to talk aboutwhatever and it's like something
that's I don't know.
It could be historical oranything, Anything, anything I
love that and then he just goesoff and they're getting tons of
views.
I mean yeah, because it's likemost people's worst nightmare
(24:40):
yes, like some guys end up, youget in the elevator just trying
to go up or down and you're likesomeone who's afraid of
elevator right, do you want to?
Answer my question, bro, thisguy you want to comment on
terrorists oh, my god, oh my godlet me find this guy, but
that's like that.
That's um that.
Recently came on my radar.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
That one's so funny.
I think that's such a greatconcept.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Anything can be a
podcast.
There it is.
Anything can be a podcast Uh,there it is.
Uh, anything can be a podcastto the channel he's got.
He's now got 41 000 subscriberswith 14 videos, which is wild.
Of course, he has some shortsthat's amazing.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
I think it's great
short form content too.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I think that's like a
hilarious so here it is concept
also here's like his his titleideas and his idea.
So this is literally an hourand 10 minutes where he's
explaining the minecraft moviein a crowded elevator and he's
in there for an hour justtalking about it what?
Speaker 2 (25:36):
What does it?
Have I got to look deeper intothis later.
This is going to be my homeworktonight.
I'm going to look into thischannel.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Now here's what's
even more interesting.
So that one has 500,000 views.
The one after that explainingbrain rot in a crowded elevator
142,000 views, amazing, right.
Then it's explaining ice agewhile freezing in ice water.
Explaining Ice Age whilefreezing in ice water.
So now he's not in the elevatoranymore.
Conceptually amazing.
My guess is he's got kicked outof that elevator, but it only
(26:02):
has 27,000 views.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
They're like you're a
safety hazard.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Right.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
You're a fire
department risk.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
But look what's
interesting.
This is interesting ExplainingPope elections while running
three miles so progressively.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
He's doing other
things, which is cool because
Well, he doesn't want to belocked in an elevator.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
But.
So here's the thing, but it'sreally funny.
Explaining Hamilton whilelocked in an elevator.
Okay, so what's interesting ishe has this thing.
The things that work best forhim is in the elevator, right.
Conceptually, that's weird, odd, interesting.
Yeah, we are going to watchthis part of it, right?
these other things are himsmartly pivoting to things that
he can do more of that aren'tgoing to nail him into an
(26:42):
elevator right, yeah, that'strue so this is he is getting a
lot less views, but there'sstill good views for his channel
size, um, and I think that oneof the things I always tell
creators when they when they getsomething that breaks out, is
what's the next thing you'regoing to do?
How are you pivoting out ofthis.
This thing's not gonna lastforever and he's already doing
it, which is very, very smart.
(27:03):
I don't know if this kid hasever had a youtube channel
before, but he's doing smartthings.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
They are getting less
views see, I have mixed
feelings about doing it thatsoon he did it right away.
I don't know, he's only donelike right away like three or
four videos of the other ones.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
And yeah, I agree
with you, I think he should be
pivoting more, but we don't knowwhat's going on with that
elevator.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
He might not be
allowed.
We don't know where theelevator went.
He might be getting arrested.
He's currently searching foranother elevator.
We don't know.
If you have an elevator to beused, please reach out.
Please reach out to him.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
He's trying to start
his podcast.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Oh my.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
God.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
That's good.
That's good, I love that.
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
What's next?
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Let's see how do you
keep filming fun when you're not
feeling motivated?
And I guess this is both apersonal and professional
(28:02):
question, since, well, sometimesthere's a fine line and blurred
lines between the two, and westill have to stay motivated and
have work, be fun.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
the same way, youtube
has to be fun so are you saying
how do you film while lookinglike you're having fun when
you're not motivated, or how doyou what is no?
How do?
Speaker 2 (28:18):
you keep filming,
looking like you're having fun
when you're not motivated, orhow do you?
No?
How do you keep filming funwhen you're unmotivated?
How do you keep?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
Oh, how do you keep
filming?
Okay, I thought you meant howdo you keep filming fun Like
fun's in?
You're filming the fun.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Well, it'd be easy if
you were unmotivated.
If you're unmotivated, youdon't have to have the fun
rather than having the fun.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
So you're saying how?
Speaker 2 (28:36):
do you?
Speaker 1 (28:36):
keep a filming fun.
Find the fun.
How do you have fun filming?
Speaker 2 (28:41):
how do you stay
motivated?
Speaker 1 (28:43):
how do you stay
filming fun?
Yeah having fun yeah you sayfun.
Enough times the word soundsweird after a while.
You ever done that where yousay a word a lot and it's always
fun there's got to be a termfor that too.
There has to be.
There absolutely is Okay.
So I think it's very difficultand it's a skill that I have not
(29:06):
even mastered, because at timesI'm heavily unmotivated,
depending on what's going on.
I'm unmotivated all the time.
I'm like rarely motivated byanything anymore, but that's a
me problem.
So how do you keep it fun?
I think, and I hope that theseepisodes have been really fun.
They certainly feel fun in themoment.
I feel like watching them mightbe fun, but I think the only
reason that is isn't because I'mcoming in motivated to make it
(29:29):
fun, it just is okay and I feellike what we've done is we've
created a scenario in asituation, in a podcast that
just by the nature of doing itbrings that out, because that's
what it is.
We don't have to fake into it.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
It just is.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Well, what would we
do if this is no longer fun?
Speaker 1 (29:47):
We'd probably stop.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
That's also my answer
.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Because what else
could you do, I think, unless
we're making a lot of money, inwhich case we're going to fake
that fun until I am paideverything off it, I think,
unless we're making a lot ofmoney, in which case we're going
to fake that fund until I'mpaid everything off.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
It wouldn't work.
We'd stop making money though.
Yeah, that's the thing Likeit's so we think you know that
you could fake it.
And then it's edited and it'slike all good.
But people can like sense on theother side, when, like things
are just like off or like youknow, maybe you weren't feeling
well that day, or your energy iseven like slightly off, like if
I was kind of sick today, likeyou'd be able to tell, yeah,
(30:21):
like you would.
Just, you would just be able totell, because you can't just
force that level.
I mean, I don't know, Icouldn't.
That would be like insanelydifficult.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Well, I think what we
do is we already plan ahead of
certain types of ebbs and flowsof the show anyway, to
continually change it up in someway, like this alone changes it
up right during the discordepisode, changes it up.
The new thing we're going tostart doing, which is you can
send in a video question 20seconds or lower.
(30:52):
You take a video, you put it inthe discord and we're going to
pick those.
That's going to change.
That's going to be a newdynamic.
Um, you know, when we had theCollins of the discord was fun,
that changed.
So because of that, becauseit's not always the same thing,
it's easier to be fun.
Um, when we do recordings, wenow can spice it up with those.
When we do remote recordings,we can spice it up with those
(31:13):
other things, and then whenwe're in person, it's just
straight up different because wedon't do it all the time.
So we're fortunate and we're ina situation where we are making
everything different enoughthat it's always fun and it will
last a lot longer than if weonly did one format every single
time.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
Yeah, I think
unmotivated just means that you
need to be trying something new, like you're saying, like you
have something to change, because I I feel like it would
be highly unlikely for you tosuddenly feel like just really
motivated all of a sudden doingthe exact same thing that you
just took like a two-month breakfor right and I just don't see
(31:49):
that possible.
Like, if you you're taking acontent break which, if you are
feeling unmotivated, I think youcan hear both of us saying,
like stop creating, it's notworth it, you're just gonna burn
yourself out and you're justgonna like resent making content
and not have that creativity bepresent.
But don't expect to take thatbreak and then come back and
suddenly feel motivated to dothe exact same thing.
(32:10):
That was unmotivating you.
So how are you making thoselittle changes we're not talking
about like, hey, start a newchannel, um, make entirely
different content, yeah, butlike, how do you make something?
Or take the time to figure outhow you make something that's
gonna feel exciting.
If it feels exciting, it'sgonna be fun and it's totally
normal for content to stopfeeling exciting which is why I
(32:33):
think we change things up.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
Uh, every so often
you'll see us do a couple things
, and then we'll do it for alittle while and then we will
stop and then we'll trysomething new, and then we'll do
that for a while, and thethings that work.
All the time we'll justcontinue to do yeah, which I
think is answering occasionalquestions.
I think that always works, sowe just keep that as part of it.
But then we add new things, like this episode.
This episode, in and of itself,is less about the question and
(32:55):
more about talking to me and you.
This is completely likedifferent, because we're not
necessarily teaching YouTube perse.
Speaker 2 (33:01):
I think there's
actually some good little bits
here, especially talking aboutmotivation.
Yeah, and we actually agreed onit 100%.
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Like fully agreed.
What would be the controversialhot take on that anyway?
Speaker 2 (33:15):
It's your full-time
job and you have to make content
.
Okay, fair, that's fair.
Let me go to the next one.
That would really be it.
But at that time, like you one, you're probably due for a break
.
And how good are you doing atgrowing your business if you're
not excited and making goodcontent?
Like you're just kind ofstaying stagnant at that point,
(33:37):
if it's just to survive.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Yeah, yeah, and if it
is your full-time job.
This is why I make such a bigdeal about when you're picking
your niche to begin with, toreally take the time to ensure
that you love what you're doing, because it could become your
full-time job, and if it's oneof those videos you're like, oh
(34:01):
could become your full-time job,and if it's one of those videos
you're like, oh, this took off,let me do more of those.
I don't really care for it.
Well then it becomes unlessthat video, real quick, because
that might become your job andyou don't want to do something.
You don't really want to do.
So, uh, what's your weirdest?
Uh, youtube rabbit hole you'veever gone down?
I don't know.
Man, there's probably a bunchof those um, there's definitely
so many I could say um, thispast week.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
I don't think I've
really had any this past week,
I've definitely.
I just feel like there'sactually like countless things
that I search far too in depthon youtube.
I would say, etiquette was abig phase for me.
What Like etiquette lessons on?
Speaker 1 (34:39):
YouTube.
You watched etiquette lessonsRandomly.
Were you looking for it?
Speaker 2 (34:43):
No, no, I'm not going
anywhere, that I need etiquette
.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
Okay, let me
understand this.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
I'm going nowhere.
There's multiple forks.
Speaker 1 (34:56):
How did you?
Okay, let me understand the.
The beginning of this were youon your home page and etiquette
video showed up?
Speaker 2 (35:02):
no, did you?
Just randomly?
You searched, this was searched.
Why did you search?
I couldn't even tell you.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
I had no idea you
just randomly were like
etiquette, yeah, I need to getsome yeah yeah okay, and where
did it take you with journey?
Speaker 2 (35:15):
A YouTube rabbit hole
.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
About how long were
you down this rabbit hole?
Like how many videos?
How long?
Speaker 2 (35:21):
I definitely watched
like videos for I would say like
several weeks, maybe longer.
Speaker 1 (35:26):
Wow, what did you
learn?
It's like so fascinating, is it?
Speaker 2 (35:30):
It's literally like
things that you've just never
even heard of before.
Like it's, it's crazy, like theway you're supposed to butter
bread.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
Like, excuse me, whoa
okay, hold on like hold on this
thing.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
I need you to help me
understand you are supposed to
how etiquette wise, you aresupposed to rip off a tiny piece
of bread and butterindividually, the bite that you
are taking wait what okay?
Speaker 1 (35:58):
no, first of all, no
etiquette.
No, hold on, you have a pieceof bread a roll.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
So you got a little
roll like a little dinner roll
but what are you?
Speaker 1 (36:06):
are you dipping it
into the the community butter?
No, you, I believe you wouldhave like your own you have your
own little like hat, yeah, andthen you butter that one.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
No, no, no you don't
no dipping.
I see you dipping over here.
You gotta have your littlebutter knife and then you butter
that one.
No, no, no, you don't nodipping.
I see you dipping over here.
You gotta have your littlebutter knife and then butter
that bite.
And then you have to lay yourknife.
You have to lay all of yourutensils down in a certain
direction to signal, to like thestaff, that you are still
eating this is not an oldcountry buffet.
I yeah, where you turn over thereceipt when you're done eating
(36:39):
it's like the same thing, thoughLike your fork has to be like
turned down or something tosignal that you're done.
I don't remember which way ithas to be.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
What kind of
restaurant is this?
Speaker 2 (36:49):
No, this is not like
restaurant, this is like events.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
Events.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Events.
You have butter eating events.
You're going to the Met Gala.
I don't even know if they eatat the Met Gala.
You're going to a fundraiser.
You're going to save theturtles.
You need to know how to butteryour bread, okay.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
What other things did
you learn from this?
I'm fascinated now, but I'mmore fascinated by your journey
than I am the thing.
So what was another?
Speaker 2 (37:17):
thing.
Next time you see me butter myBro, we are going somewhere.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
We got to butter your
bread.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
I'm going to show no,
we got to go somewhere, so
normal and I'm going to do itlike a crazy person.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
I need to see you
butter some bread.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
And someone's going
to be watching and be like, why
is she not?
Speaker 1 (37:28):
putting butter on the
entire.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Thing.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
Why is she?
Speaker 2 (37:31):
ripping it's nuts.
Speaker 1 (37:36):
They do things
differently mine's not even
crazy then, because I'm tryingto think I'm sure in the past
I've looked a bunch of thingsthat were kind of me just like
spreading awareness to all theetiquette channels I kind of
really want to see this now it'sfascinating, that's what I'm
saying.
Like that, I feel like that'slike a true there are some
fascinating that you fall into, because I will never need that
but the thing is I I seesomething like that would happen
(37:57):
to me by the homepage Likesomething random.
Speaker 2 (37:59):
video would be there
to watch it.
Oh, no See, I think weirdthings and then search them.
It's like an impulsion.
I need to watch this, but likeI have to, actively try to like,
avoid, like I think weirdthings and I have to tell myself
like no, you don't have tosearch that right now.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
We need to film you
doing that, just searching
things.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
You're just live
streaming like add throughout
the day.
I need this in my life.
It's so funny like I can't, Idon't even know.
Like I thought on my drive hereand I'm like I wanted to google
it.
If there are people who don'tknow that you're not supposed to
eat the outside of a pistachiothat consumed like wait what I
can't even tell you how much.
Like you know, you have like ashelled pistachio.
Yeah, like, are there people inthe world who just like?
Speaker 1 (38:41):
eat the whole thing.
Oh, I'm sure there are.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
How many?
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Why do you want to
answer?
That question is a little wildto me.
Why did you even think that youwere driving?
Yeah, in the middle of driving, and you thought of first of of
all pistachio nuts at all likewere you hungry think about
while I'm driving.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
I've always said I
was gonna do like a live stream
while driving somewhere, becauseit's unhe, like it's unhinged
thoughts, and then that thoughtjust goes away and I'm like,
yeah, I'll google it later youdefinitely are one of my most
interesting friends.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
I, I am so we are
friends I'm so thankful that I
know you, because it's soentertaining.
It's endlessly entertaining.
All right, let's find one moreof these before we hang it up.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Actually, let's go
hot takes.
I want to know your YouTube petpeeves.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Well, you know, it
still is, and they're going to.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
I just feel like
they're going to be offensive, I
feel like this is when they're.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
It's not so much
offensive as that.
I'm just not going to be veryspecific about the things that I
see.
I'm going to say what it is.
I'm not going to tell thespecific scenario that might be,
like Travis probably wouldn'tsay that.
Okay, so just what I saidearlier, even which is seeing
things in thumbnail that aren'tin the video oh, that's like
that's a fantastic pet peeve Ihate that, but it's.
But I mean it's like it's notjust clickbait per se, it is
(40:05):
that this scene because a lot oftimes it's not like a like
obviously ai generated something.
It's not like that, I mean likeit looks like it's a screenshot
of the something that happenedin the video and that stuff
never happened in the video.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
That I'm always like
the highest level of clickbait.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
It really is.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
Like that's insane.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Even if so, for
example I'm not saying this
specific thing ever happened.
But let's say, for example, Igo, you see a video that says
this is the most fancy steak youcan have in New York, and they
show a guy with like this huge, amazing, beautiful steak and
he's holding it like oh my God,and you never see that steak.
And he's holding he's like ohmy God, and you never see that
steak.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
He's not in that
restaurant.
The perfect thumbnail, too.
Like if that was actually athumbnail like.
That's exactly what it would beRight.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
Seriously, that steak
isn't in the video.
That restaurant backgroundthat's in there, not in the
video, the person that's sittingnext to him not in the video,
like all that stuff.
Oh, that's my that's,definitely, that's yeah that's
ridiculous and they're like Ididn't clickbait you a steak
yeah, like you still see thething they're talking about, but
it's, I want to see that scene, like that thing that I saw, I
(41:06):
want to see it I think that'sactually.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
That reminds me of
like when we talked to brett and
his most successful video waslike an actual.
Like you saw it yeah, withinthe first seconds of the video
going and like you knew what yousaw in the thumbnail.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you
were getting and as a travel
creator.
Speaker 2 (41:26):
It was like that
destination looked as stunning
as it did on the thumbnail.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
It was awesome yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
That's what that
reminds me of, and that steak
did not.
Mine is.
I know my hot take is alreadylike shorts.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
Of course.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
Whatever?
Speaker 1 (41:42):
And I feel like this
one might actually be worse.
I don't know.
Let's hear it.
I'm really curious now.
Speaker 2 (41:48):
Everyone, and I'm
sorry if you do this, just know
I hate it.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Okay, just know that
you're a terrible person.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
I hate when people
hold their lav mics.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Oh, you're not the
only person Like Dan hates that.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
To your anything Dan
hates it has a clip on it.
It's not.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
Oh, okay, for people
who don't know what this is,
this really became popular whenRyan Tran was doing it.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
Okay, the tiny mic.
I'm fine with the tiny mic.
I that was a little gimmick.
It was still a microphonelooking Tiny mic like that was
fine.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Yeah, but he was
actually holding his lav mic.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
Was he?
Maybe I'm thinking of somethingelse.
You know the tiny mic thingthat I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (42:31):
Where it actually
looks like a microphone.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I haven'tseen lab, I know.
Yeah, dan has a huge problemwith this, as well, he hates it.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
I can't wait to talk
about this with Dan.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
He hates it, so you
definitely should talk to him
about it.
Oh my gosh, I'm not bothered byit.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Because in the moment
, like I think, the times,
there's something like that.
Well, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Maybe he couldn't
attach to a shirt for whatever
reason, I don't know, but itbecame like this thing, like
people like oh this, I'msupposed to do it this way, or
something, and I don't know why.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Oh my gosh, Maybe
people actually thought that
Maybe 50% of people.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
They were like oh, I
guess this is the way it works.
Speaker 2 (43:16):
We're like oh, I had
no idea there's a clip.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
That would not
surprise me, by the way.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
And this is supposed
to go on your lapel.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
That would not
surprise me.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
I wouldn't even, I
didn't even like think about
that, because some people.
That's funny, though.
Some people don't know how toeat a pistachio, we just don't
know how many of which are outthere.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
IQcom.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Yeah, I love that.
Dan hates that.
Oh my God.
He does he does not like it.
Do you want to know?
What drives me even more insanewhich gets like my friend as
well is like we're talking aboutirresponsible users.
You have a microphone to havebetter audio and you're like
talking with your hands.
It's like hey.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
It's like bro Whoa,
there are some people who have
immaculate video setups andtheir sound is like echoey af
and I cannot stand that.
I'm like bro, spend the 20, Ilove it.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
I just literally like
I see the girls all the time
like talking with their hands.
I'm like uh, girl, your mic isin your hand, right?
Speaker 1 (44:09):
where are you going?
It's like me going I love beinghere.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
No, but you got to
take it like it's got to go in
and out, so that it's likeabsolutely unhinged audio.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
That's like the next
level tier to besides just
holding it some people veryresponsibly hold it and some
people it is pretty bad I haveno idea this is what kind of
makes you, you and me, me yeahwell, for whatever the hell,
clickbait and mics I almost wantto end it.
I don't know what I ended upnaming this thing, but I almost
was like don't watch this video.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
That's how I kind of
want this video will trigger you
.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
Yeah maybe that's.
That's actually what I probablyshould name this video.
This video will trigger you.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Do not watch if
you're easily triggered there's
a lot of people right nowholding their mics that are like
oh my god, we called out everyyoutuber in this video I could
list like a hundred youtube petpeeves one more, one more for
the road.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
I want to hear this
you, you want to know what 100?
Oh my gosh, this was my biggest.
And then I want a randomthought from you now also.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
And then this was my
biggest one up until, and this
is like.
This is not hate, like I don'tlike unsubscribe to anybody who
does these things, it's justlike something you notice okay
and like the mic I genuinelydon't like.
But this one just like a truepet peeve, where it's just like,
don't like that when people arevlogging and they say uh, I'm
gonna take you along with me andit's like I know I'm watching
(45:33):
the video, but I'm okay withthat, I that feels very quick.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
That's what I'm here
for.
I like that.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Why would you not
take me with you?
Speaker 1 (45:41):
No, I'm okay with
that.
See, I'm totally okay with that.
I actually kind of like it.
Speaker 2 (45:47):
As a matter of fact,
it's like so pointless.
Speaker 1 (45:50):
Well, here's
something else that's
interesting.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
Tell me if you like
this or not Okay, because there,
saying this, I'm like, oh, Iguess I could do that he goes,
and if you want to stick around,I have some more videos here
you can watch.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
And I'm like, oh yeah
, and you don't like that.
No.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
I like it, okay.
And at the time I'm like, ohyeah, I guess I could no reason
that I.
It's an obvious statement.
You're a YouTuber with othervideos.
You have other videos what Ican watch other.
Is that okay?
Do I have permission to watchthem?
And I'm okay with it because Iwas like, oh shoot, maybe I
should watch some of the otherstuff.
That's so funny.
Do you like that or do you notlike that?
Speaker 2 (46:29):
It doesn't even phase
me.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
It doesn't even
register.
I can't understand what the fatI need.
I need another random thoughtfor you before we end this
episode.
I need to understand, like, what's going through your head
another like random thought.
I don't know that you've hadrecently, or maybe even the
drive up even on the drive.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
I don't know if I
could, I don't know if I could
pull another one, like really, give me a weird thing you think
about for food, something foodrelated like a hot take on food.
Yeah, like what's, what's a linefor you, like you don't I think
avocados are overrated yeah, Idon't really care I think
they're overhyped because that'sthat's why you make guacamole
out of right and I canconfidently say I never have
never will purchase avocadotoast outside of my house yeah,
(47:11):
I don't understand it's a, it'sa moral.
I just won't do it.
Speaker 1 (47:15):
It's literally like I
I can't and you're a vegan too,
which means they might kick youout of veganism, Seriously the
only option.
We're literally going to kickyou out of being a vegan.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
If it's breakfast,
they're like it's avocado toast
and I'm like I can't, I will notpurchase your $13 avocado toast
.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
It's the price.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
Well, so you know,
the last couple of months I've
been losing weight and doinglower carb and that sort of
thing and I found a couple ofreally low-carb breads which are
great.
Most of them are terrible.
Found a good one.
There's a brand called HeroBread which does amazing
low-carb bread and bread-typeproducts which are things like
muffins and all these otherreally amazing things.
You don't have to give up andit's great, very low-carb $9 a
(47:58):
loaf.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
So yeah, it's every
and everything Okay but I
support that because you havethe loaf in your house and it's
for, like a very specificpurpose.
Yeah, I would not buy avocadoanything, let alone avocado
toast, which doesn't even makesense, do you not like?
Speaker 1 (48:08):
avocados?
I don't think I do.
I say this, I say this oh,Nathan, no, Okay, look here's
the thing.
Look here's the thing.
I lived in Delaware.
Okay, All right, as a young kidI lived in Delaware.
We ate very, very, very shortlist of things.
I didn't think I liked a lot ofthings.
I think I had tasted some ofthem before when I was younger.
(48:29):
But I am weird about food, forexample.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
That's fair.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
I do not like apples,
but I love applesauce, apple
juice, apple pie.
People feel that way withbananas also.
I love bananas.
I do not like anything madefrom bananas Baked from.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:42):
No, I feel like
that's actually super normal.
Speaker 1 (48:44):
So with things, when
I say things like I didn't think
I liked mushrooms or tomatoesand stuff for a while, but I
actually love them now.
So I say I don't like avocados,and I say I don't like
guacamole, that I might be okaywith it.
Speaker 2 (48:56):
Someone would have to
force me into eating some.
Every seven years your tastebuds change.
I believe this.
It could have been seven years.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
We are now a
different type of podcast.
All right, look, have you gotany more candy before we go?
Because that was amazing.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
Oh, let me pull out
one this is actually my favorite
candy in.
I should call this I guess Icould say my favorite candy in
the whole world.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (49:22):
Hot tamales.
Speaker 1 (49:24):
Shiza, you know I
don't like hot things.
You know I don't like hotthings.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
It's not hot.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
Is it, though?
It's cinnamon?
Well, I like cinnamon.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
It's not spicy, it's
spicy cinnamon.
Speaker 1 (49:33):
It's cinnamon, let's
do it.
Let's do it, it's my favoritecandy.
Speaker 2 (49:36):
Oh, my gosh, the fact
that these are open now and
they're gonna be are they allgonna be gone?
Speaker 1 (49:41):
Why is like I've had
this kind of mid?
Speaker 2 (49:43):
Oh my gosh.
No, these are amazing all right, I have to take three well, you
didn't, I just, it was, you'relike, I love them already.
I mean there, I Alright, lookright, bosh candy ever.
I mean they're all right, they're all right, all right.
Speaker 1 (50:01):

bait in some way or another toleave a comment.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
It's gonna be all
about the price of avocado,
which is wild.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
I just think it's
funny that we had a fellow vegan
right in telling you that candycorn isn't vegan I know well,
we gotta have each other's backs, because sometimes you don't
know when things aren't.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
I was just like it's
okay.
Speaker 1 (50:39):
I just thought it's
wild that it's like the worst
things that make that thegelatin yeah, try this one with
gelatin.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
Was that was a day?
Speaker 1 (50:47):
that was wild.
It was like cartilage and alltypes of feet.
I'm just nasty stuff.
